With Dead Or Alive X just days old, and All-Star Summer Showdown one week away -- there was no time for announcements as Pre-Show 97: Summerfest 2017 launched the competition toward its apex! Contention for the KFL and Division 2 Championships were the priority order, but it was to be a blockbuster duo division main event as Team Xtreme challenged The United!
The_Purple_Bunny & Mimik came together in a show of solidarity to face the challenge of Hall of Fame tag team: Marz & Violent`J! Competitive tensions between TPB and Mimik ended this past Monday when prodigal powerhouse TPB returned to face a dominant ICWW All-Stars! TPB had the better of ICWW legend Marz during July's Royal Roulette, winning again in their DOAX three-way rematch. Team Xtreme were to have the home advantage in a Duo Division grudge bout, but a major upset was on the cards! For just the fourth time in Great Arena history: Team Xtreme suffered defeat! The loss only added fuel to the fire of Marz's fury as he seethed in The_Purple_Bunny's general direction! He'll have his chance at ultimate payback when they meet one-on-one next Sunday, August 20th -- at All-Star Summer Showdown!
In stark contrast to the unity of the night's main event: Jerrod and SubMan799 were a team in total collapse! They made an instant impact on the Duo Division last month, but their convergence on a common enemy at Supercard 96 failed to yield results. SubMan799 moved on to the Elimination Battle Royal at DOAX, spilling into a grudge match during this week's FNF. Signs he wasn't taking their alliance seriously to Jerrod! The alliance was officially ended with a vicious +3 impact!
We now know Evil AlbertBeefcake will march into the All-Star Summer Showdown to face United: Mime for the KFL Championship. He secured his contender status with the narrowest of victories at Pre-Show 97! DArqueBishop rekindled a feud with his former employers in The Invasion just two weeks ago. This past Friday he teamed with the Duo Division Champs to pick up a tidy win against Albert & The Invasion. It wasn't enough to keep the KFL title out of reach of Evil hands.
It seemed G0LD had done enough in recent months to earn a Division 2 Championship opportunity, securing a string victories, including a big win at Pre-Show 96: Heat Up Scramble. "Wild Pegasus" Zentile took a loss to King Ken at DOAX, but the unpredictability of his offense made for an alluring prospect. Zentile's ability to fight on the edge has made him a target of those who seek to break him, but at Pre-Show 97 it was G0LD who finally showed cracks. A bitter defeat costing him a shot at the as yet untested reign of Div.2 Champion Shinnokxz at All-Star Summer Showdown!

Pre-Show 96: Heat Up Scramble
The stakes for victory at Pre-Show 96: Heat Up Scramble were high as ten competitors fought for guaranteed qualification into this year's Royal Roulette match! The winners would not have to leave it to fate to decide if they enter the thirty-fighter bout, where random entry occurs every 90 seconds, and the last man standing earns the right to challenge for any title, at the time of his choosing!
A reversal of fortunes saw United: The_Purple_Bunny defeat his Hall of Fame United teammate and arch-rival Mimik! The pair have dogged each other over disappointing performances since May, leading to their match at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense. Mimik won that one with a +2 impact, but it was a mirrored result as the 2017 Battle Royale winner fought his way into the mid-year scramble. The win gives TPB another chance to fulfill his goal of winning his 7th career Undisputed title in 2017!
Genku was forced to face "The Predator" TonyTheTiger in another rematch for Royal Roulette Qualification, having mistakenly assumed he would be guaranteed entry. An emphatic victory helped undo the damage of a disappointing Mid-Year Grand Slam, earning him a guaranteed slot in the match that could finally bring him back to the Undisputed Championship he abruptly lost in February! Genku continues to blame officials for conspiring to keep him from the title, but will have total control of his fate if he wins Royal Roulette!
"The Sword of Europe" Chromatose earned a good win over rival NovaStarr to score guaranteed qualification. He also joins qualifying match winners King Ken and The Invasion's Loopster, as well as previously announced entrant Poasty, who defeated reigning Undisputed Champion Damo in the Second Round of the Mid-Year Grand Slam in a clash of champions!
A condition of Poasty's entry into the match was that he defend the Division 2 Championship at Pre-Show 96. His chosen challenger Shinnokxz was defeated in June at Supercard 94: Red Reign, but he earned his way back for a second chance and made the absolute most of it! Poasty's pre-occupation with adding a second championship to his waist may've been his undoing! Shinnokxz fought hard to match the dominant champ, hitting his peak to narrowly take an upset victory! It marks the first title in Shinnokxz' long career. Will it damage Poasty's reputation as a "Champion of Champions"? He has the ultimate second chance when he enters the Royal Roulette match - next week!
24 fighters will be plucked from a random draw of hundreds when Supercard 96: Royal Roulette gathers thirty fighters for the ultimate game of chance! The July 23rd event will also feature Mid-Year Grand Slam winner Oozaru taking on "The Chosen One" Damo to decide who marches into August as Undisputed Champion! Oozaru's Pacific Connection partner Banging will challenge United: Mime for the KFL Championship. Be here next week for full results!
Other big winners at Pre-Show 96 included: G0LD picking up an impressive Div.2 win over Round 1 tournament rival avenger45! One-man Greek Revolution maxilos fended off the aggressions of Italian attacker giandavil! The teams of Politics & Menas, "Brexiteers" Liam & nif, and rxvt & deadly earned big wins, with the latter marking the surprise return of rxvt from his Pre-Show 85 injury!

Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense
The stakes were high at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense as fighters gathered for a Supercard-like event ahead of next week's Tower of Power! Along with four Challenger 7 Qualifying matches, there were matters of the Duo Division and Division 2 Championships to be dealt with!
The tandem titles were in the spotlight once more as "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge took on teammates-turned-rivals: CCShadow & Scott-Howell! The challengers earned their shot during this week's Friday Night Fights, shaking off pressure from Genku to impress officials. The Pre-Show 94 title rematch showed clear signs of improvement as The Invasion brought the fight to the champs! The tantalizing possibility of a title change was in the air, but CCS & Howell were able to find off the strong offense of their opponents for another day.
All eyes were on Challenger 7 Qualifiers early in the night. Intrigue surrounded MKMaster's win over "Mad Dog" Onryo with so much talk surrounding rumored tensions within The New Generation. Man-in-the-middle Baraka_MK watched silently from the wings as his new Duo partner bested his old one, improving upon his Supercard 93 victory with a hard hitting +3 win!
Legendary duo "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging left no doubt as they both qualified for The Challenger 7 with dominant victories. NovaStarr narrowly edged out 2017 Fighter For Europe Chromatose. That means MKMaster, Oozaru, Banging & NovaStarr will join Genku, DArqueBishop, and a mystery Hall of Famer when Tower of Power XIX opens - next week!
Waiting somewhere up The Tower will be Untied: Mimik, who continued the embarrassment of United: The_Purple_Bunny with a convincing victory! Problems between the pair first manifested late last month when TPB was critical of Mimik's win-loss record. A string of victories have left TPB the more precariously positioned member of The United, with his most recent loss during this week's VS United. We will officially find out their place next week during Tower of Power XIX.
"The Predator" TonyTheTiger will be somewhere on The Tower as well. An exhibition match win against DECEPTION at Pre-Show 94 helped elevate TTT's title prospects. When Genku claimed he could beat any and all of the 19th Tower, it was TonyTheTiger who emerged to dominate him during Friday Night Fights! Genku had to work hard to mount a Tower Defense, but managed to scrape by with a narrow fought victory!
It was a competitive scenario when DArqueBishop got his hands on DaemonX. The elusive former Invasion leader has been largely absent since Genku staged his hostile takeover of The Invasion. The ousted Manager did his best to take down the suspected "Black King", but it was another competitive DaemonX win. With his victory against Statix at Supercard 94, will DaemonX be somewhere on The Tower of Power? DArqueBishop will find out as one of three automatically qualifying fighters in The Challenger 7!
Division 2 Champion Poasty continued to build himself a career making reign. He earned a confident victory against top contender G0LD! The win marks Poasty's fourth successful defense since he reclaimed the championship at The Spring Classic!
The stage is set for a massive weekend where anyone could walk away the new Undisputed Champion! Supercard 95: Tower of Power XIX will see the Undisputed gold up for grabs for the first time since Tower of Power XV! ElJobber successfully defended the title at that one -- will he do it again? Be here next week to find out who will rise and who will fall - Sunday, June 18th!

Pre-Show 94: Blood Gold
At the end of 2016, it seemed as if The Invasion was as good as beaten. The remnants that limped into the new year were forced to seek outside help to correct their course. Under DArqueBishop's direction they rebuilt, and even found championship success. CCShadow & Scott-Howell helped solidify a new era for The Invasion, but on May 26th -- everything changed!
Jason_Voorhees & edge may not have beaten the champions during Friday Night Fights, but by standing with Genku, they ensured his hostile takeover was a success. They were rewarded with a title opportunity at Pre-Show 94: Blood Gold, but the Duo Division Championship would not be taken so easily! As they did on Friday; CCS & Howell proved their dynasty will not be ended by any fly by night coup d'état! The champs maintained a hardline that ensured their gold would not be taken! That didn't mean The Invasion didn't make some ground during the Pre-Show card, though.
The unexpected take down of Grayback during the May 19th edition of FNF left an opening in The Invasion that Genku intended to fill. He pit ousted members Jericho and Zengeance at each other's throats for the chance to earn their way back in. An "honor" earned by Zengeance, who'll be the new partner for Rhyno, who himself spent the night extracting payback against ]{0MBAT in a +4 win!
During this week's Monday Night Games; The_Purple_Bunny put pressure on Mimik to live up to his place on The United team. The Hall of Famer showed there's nothing to worry about, claiming victory against the re-christened Fallen in a hotly contested Survival Sequence match! United rookie zelse got into the act, working hard to eliminate The Red Reign's newest recruit: Red_Spaniard! legoslayer10 quickly turned the teams in favour of The Red Reign, entering into a war with Murdoink that went his way! Reigning KFL Champion Mime lit up the arena with a flying start against legoslayer10 and a speedy elimination of redman! With a 3-2 deficit, Sekktor charged in hard, forcing Mime to work hard to overcome Sekktor. The grinding set Mime up for elimination by LordSkarlet, but the leader of The Red Reign had nothing left. A 5-3 win leaving interim United Captain Artanix completely untouched - a flawless victory!
The blood LordSkarlet spilled at Supercard 92, and the damage he incurred at Supercard 93, is clearly catching up with him! There'll be no rest for the wicked, though. Next weekend at Supercard 94: Red Reign, Artanix will be forced to face his once-Fallen foe inside the confines of the Steel Cage! LordSkarlet knows the nightmare well, but he's fighting on the edge. The cage could be his coffin!

Shinnokxz will go to Supercard 94 hoping to claim gold thanks to his victory in a hard fought three-way contender's match! G0LD started the match promisingly, eliminating recent rival "Mad Dog" Onryo in a competitive duel. Momentum was clearly gained as G0LD fought for the right to face Poasty at next week's Supercard -- but Shinnokxz has been building momentum all month! The win means he'll get his first opportunity to claim the Division 2 Championship!
In a high-profile exhibition bout "The Predator" TonyTheTiger caused an upset with a strong win against DECEPTION! The match escalated into a heated affair as both fighters proved highly competitive! The Hitman may've been slightly distracted by tensions brewing between his New Generation teammates: Baraka_MK and Onryo! The Div.2 title hopes of Onryo have kept him away from BMK since they agreed to train individually after losing at Ultimate Grand Prix VII!
MKMaster once again joined BMK against a common enemy, but he wasn't the only switch-up in the match! Statix replaced a previously announced AlexanderLuthorJr as The_Hurricane's partner! The change resulted in a high-level tandem clash, but it couldn't hold down the mutually beneficial combination of BMK & MKM! Their chemistry as a team is evident, and was very clearly when The New Generation shared a brief moment later in the night, before DECEPTION's match.
Be here throughout the week for more updates as the fast-tracked schedule takes The Great Arena into June and towards Supercard 94: Red Reign! After two months in recovery ElJobber returns to test "The Chosen One" Damo in a hotly anticipated Championship main event! Pre-Show 93: Reconnecting...
Pre-Show 93: Reconnecting... touched live wires together for a hugely anticipated night of action inside The Great Arena! The annual tradition of the Fighter For Europe tournament meant it was a weekend double bill, but there was more than the Division 2 Championship to look forward to!
The reunion of the Pacific Connection at Ultimate Grand Prix VII set Oozaru & Banging on a path of total domination throughout April and May! Their rapid rise made obvious contenders at the 2017 Spring Classic, which gave the May 5th edition of Friday Night Fights a Duo Division Championship match for the ages! "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell emerged victorious, but the close fought match demanded a second viewing!
The Connection's high octane approach turned the main event of Pre-Show 93 into another UGP-esque superfight! CCS & Howell had to rely on pure instinct to react to the challengers pushing them into an even higher gear! Like the FNF showdown, it was a balls to the wall collision at the highest possible standard! Also like FNF: The Invasion emerged victorious by the skin of their teeth! It was another unbelievably competitive title match! A great win for CCShadow & Scott-Howell, who once again escape to remain Duo Division Champions!
2017 Fighter For Europe Chromatose hoped the fire of the annual tournament made him a better honed weapon for a second day of battle. Tradition demanded that his fifth fight of the weekend be for the Division 2 Championship! The title was recently reclaimed by franchise player Poasty, whose one-two combo of UGP7 & Spring Classic wins have put a lot of expectation on his third reign! The pressure was on! Chromatose seemingly posed a serious threat in Poasty's first defense, but ironically it was the "Sword of Europe" who buckled! Poasty took full advantage of the experience he's accrued in the last six months, turning in a convincing +3 impact defense! He'll next defend the title against Jerrod, who picked up a well earned #1 Contender's match win against rising challenger Shinnokxz!
Fallout from the Fighter For Europe tournament also turned Nephrite & Zentile into an unlikely duo against "Brexiteers" Liam & nif! Both fighters were defeated by Liam on his path to the European Final, with Nephrite responsible for nif's elimination in the First Round. The impromptu European Union revisited old tensions with The Brexiteers, but couldn't convert a victory.
A very different story unfolded for Baraka_MK & MKMaster, who paired up to face common foes The_Hurricane & GreenLantern! BMK has had issues with the super-hero opponents since April, but MKM met Hurricane on May 1st, when The_Hurricane hoped to become a contender by beating the former Division 2 Champion! BMK & MKM combined well, defeating their common foes.
"The Guardian" CaTigeReptile picked up a +3 impact in her grudge match win against old rival: NovaStarr. The Battle Royal loss she suffered at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution begat a disappointing defeat at The Spring Classic, but this time the women of the league wouldn't be there to unanimously turn on their one-time Guardian! Indeed, CTR bounced back with confidence in the one-on-one grudge match. It was a comprehensive win that reflected the freeing nature of being able to fight for herself -- a battle that isn't yet over!
United: The_Purple_Bunny will challenge "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile at Supercard 93: The Chosen in a grudge match to avenge a shock loss: next Sunday - May 21st! The same event will be headlined by VenoMark/Damo II in a hotly anticipated rematch for the Undisputed Championship! PLUS: Recently returned "Queen Bee" Pink_Ranger takes on United: Mime for the KFL title!

Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution
A new dawn fades as Ultimate Grand Prix VII becomes part of history, paving the way to a new age designed by Pre-Show 92! The future and the past collide next week, but in order to get to the post-UGP carnival of The Spring Classic there must first be Revolution and Retribution!
There was a touch of both in the night's main event when "The Chosen One" Damo met arch-rival DECEPTION in a #1 Contender's match! Their 2017 series began with a post-Grand Slam Launch grudge match at Pre-Show 88: The Long Hard Road. The Hitman won that one, but Damo secured the edge with wins at Supercard 89 and Pre-Show 90! He lived up to his guarantee at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, winning the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal. With momentum at his back; Damo proved he's ready for the big time with another convincing win at Pre-Show 92! Is 2017 the next "Year of the Damo"? The 2017 Spring Classic pits him against another old rival when he meets UGP Undisputed Champion VenoMark -- Sunday, April 30th!
NovaStarr will be heading to The Spring Classic for another big title match when she takes on United: Mime for the KFL Championship! Her opportunity was earned in an intriguing and much publicized 15-Woman Elimination Battle Royal! "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile was responsible for starting the exclusive KFL Women's revolution back in February, and was expected to take out the final all-women's contender bout. Instead, CTR was targeted as all fourteen women turned on their self-appointed Guardian! Tired of being beaten and spoken for, the ladies did their best to wear down The Guardian, but once again found her a dominant figure! CTR endured multiple instances of double-teaming to begin eliminating fighters left and right! Cherri & LadyRaiden dug their heels in to slow CTR's devastating charge with an impromptu alliance, but Cherri succumbed to CTR at the halfway point. Where once she came to the aid of jess, CTR was now her eliminator!
lita83 was an odd-woman out in the Final 4, quickly succumbing to CaTigeReptile's focus! Celeste had made her surprise return having been out since being injured last year! She was able to hold on for a while as The Guardian's attentions were divided, but soon gave out leaving an epic one-on-one brawl to the finish between CTR and NovaStarr! NovaStarr had made her presence felt throughout the match, wearing CTR down when she could. She endured titanic strikes from The Guardian to keep chipping back with her own. After a non-stop 13 minute brawl, NovaStarr finally scored her first elimination of the match to pick-up a massive upset victory! Now she can finally leave the contender's periphery to get her shot at the KFL Championship at next week's Spring Classic!
NovaStarr's win wasn't the only upset of the night. maxilos was a one-man "Greek Revolution" coming to avenge the UGP dream of he and his "Greek Crisis" partner proXade! It was ended at Tower of Power XVIII, when a newly reunited Sekktor & hydraslash took proXade out after a brutal night of fighting. The odds were against him, but the curious arena favourite dug deep to bring Sekktor down into the muck. A hard fought victory in the name of The Greek Crisis!
In the Duo Division: McDaniel & fraysol defeated Grand Prix rivals Liam & nif to set up an interesting encounter for the Spring Classic with Politics & Menas! Having spent the last few weeks fighting solo; "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo reconvened to compare notes and deal with BMK-hostile team-up of GreenLantern & AlexanderLuthorJr! Nobody knew what to think when The Invasion first fought amongst themselves, but at Pre-Show 92; WilliamRegal & TripleH completed the task of kicking Jericho & Zengeance out of the club!
With two big Championship bouts now confirmed - it's sure to be another intriguing year at The Spring Classic! Flash back to Spring Classic 2016 and stay tuned throughout the week for more card updates! Then be here Sunday, April 30th for all the results as the next phase of competition begins!

Pre-Show 91: Grand Prix Show
Continuing a tradition begun at last year's Grand Prix Show; thirty-two teams from the Duo Division assembled for a one-night elimination bracket! Tournament 79 would serve as a very special prelude to the action of next week's Ultimate Grand Prix VII!
With several high-profile teams torn apart by injury during the year, and others saving themselves for UGP, it was a unique opportunity for some of the less well known tandems to feature under the big spotlight! Each team was entered into a random draw, but it was clear from the start that experience would be the key a the 2017 Grand Prix Show!
Throughout 2016 Jammer2Omega & Porygonix have measured their progress against "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo. It seemed as if the two teams could be destined for a Grand Final showdown, but neither pairing's path was at all predictable! Round 2 produced one of the most shocking results of the event when The New Generation fought to a tie against Mark & Leroy! The resulting double elimination meant J2O & Pory would surpass their rivals, beating Politics & Menas and Tower Of Power XVIII breakouts Jason_Voorhees & edge!
"The Fallen" Sekktor & hydraslash had made a splash at Tower of Power, too. Yet they found themselves surprised by the might of "Brexiteers" Liam & nif! The win gifted the longtime Brit pairing a bye into the Semi Final where they overwhelmed good natured dark horses McDaniel & fraysol! At the same time, J2O & Porygonix found themselves running out of luck in a hard fought battle with newly rechristened "Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell!
There were echoes of the 2016 Grand Prix Show as the veteran Brexiteers met CCShadow & Scott-Howell in a highly intriguing Grand Final! The New Invasion made it back-to-back wins in a UGP Season already dipped in deja vu after DECEPTION's win in the 2017 Grand Prix Warm-Up! They set themselves up nicely for a high-profile spot at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but it won't be in the Duo Division Championship match, this year.
Next Sunday the Duo Division Championship will be embroiled in a bitter grudge match when Ratt & NightHawk return to settle the score with the most dominant tag team in the history of The Great Arena: "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J! It'll be a battle for gold, pride and immortality on the biggest stage of them all: Supercard 91: Ultimate Grand Prix VII!

Ultimate Grand Prix VII is just seven days away! All roads lead to the biggest stop on The Great Arena calendar! The Duo Division Championship will be settled in a match half a year in the making! UGP will also be the proving ground for VenoMark when he defends the Undisputed Championship against 6-time champ The_Purple_Bunny! Will UGP7 make it 7 times the charm for TPB? All this and so much more! I can feel it coming in the air -- something good is going to happen!
Supercard 91: Ultimate Grand Prix VII (April 2, 2017):
- United: The_Purple_Bunny versus VenoMark (c) [Undisputed Championship]
- Ratt & NightHawk versus "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) [Duo Division Championship]
- m0s versus ElJobber [Iron Man Death Match]

- The Invasion versus Team Oozaru [5-on-5 Survival Sequence]

Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures
With Supercard 90: Tower of Power XVIII already earmarked for the Duo Division Championship, it was left to Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures to play host to a historic main event!
Never before has the Undisputed Championship been defended in The Eliminator match, but with the challengers lining up, and controversies piling against Genku, there was no better way to resolve the conflict than gathering six of the hottest contenders for a famous first! Appropriately, the fates chose Genku to enter the random draw first -- a mixed blessing for the reigning Champion. He'd have to endure the entire field to retain his title - the perfect answer to critics questioning his legitimacy.
Entering #1 also trapped Shen_DuHBK with Genku! Shen not only proved Genku didn't win the Invasion Election, but has also boasted two unanswered wins against the champ. Genku stalked his opponent like a shark circling its pray -- launching a brutal attack that swiftly took the whistleblower out of the match! KFL Champion CaTigeReptile entered next, trading blows with her 2016 nemesis. Genku was able to contain CTR, but the numbers were against him when VenoMark burst into the match at #4! VM played aggressor much as he has since Supercard 89 -- once again turning the tables against the reigning champion! Former champion ElJobber entered next, running into the center of an unlikely 3-on-1 attack! "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet entered last, setting the stage for an all-out war between five heavyweight competitors! They all traded blows, sharing the load until recently dethroned ElJobber started to dominate the match! LordSkarlet managed to contain him, opening the field to VenoMark and Genku! Shared hostilities with CTR condemned the Div.2 champ to be the second elimination at the hands of an opportunistic American Nightmare. For capitalizing on his work, LS earned the ire of VenoMark and ElJobber -- soon eliminated by VM! The action intensified as VenoMark and ElJobber took turns dominating the Undisputed Champion! Then out of almost nowhere -- Genku exploded to eliminate ElJobber and set-up the perfect finish! VenoMark wasted no time launching an all-out assault on the reigning champion. He's repeatedly referred to Genku as a "false god" and himself a "Godkiller". On a night named for the Venomous Creatures stalking the Undisputed Championship -- VenoMark was the deadliest of them all! A dominant finished confirmed what he'd been saying all along: VenoMark is the Undisputed Champion!
While The Eliminator sorted through six of the hottest title challengers, a three-way in the undercard presented the next wave that could threaten the title. "The Chosen One" Damo has quietly been living up to his self-proclaimed moniker, battling through two stages of a grueling three-way match to earn another impressive victory! Granted, "The Hitman" DECEPTION did the heavy lifting to take out United: Mimik in a hard fought opening stage. That only enhanced Damo's triumph, though, as he endured to overcome DECEPTION's considerable momentum!
When Oozaru returned to The Great Arena to help PaganFreak fight for his former partner's soul, he made it clear he still wouldn't fight against Banging. This Friday saw Statix reemerge to take up that burden, singling out Banging for a convincing victory while Oozaru went after DaemonX in a battle billed as 12 years in the making! Unfortunately for him, The Invasion figurehead had no intention of walking in to a one-on-one showdown. With PaganFreak nowhere to be seen - DArqueBishop made an unexpected appearance to help DaemonX inflict a 2-on-1 beatdown on Oozaru! Why DAB would possibly have any ill will towards Oozaru remains a question to be answered!
Poasty answered the question of his durability as Division 2 Champion with his second title defense. MKMaster was able to rise through a last minute contender's match, posing an intriguing new test for the reigning champ. MKM showed he could have the goods to become a staple of the Division 2 contention ranks, but Poasty once again emerged triumphant. A stabilizing force for the gold!
Winners in the Challenger 7 Qualifiers will hope they can be the next to join the championship ranks! Sekktor & legoslayer10, McDaniel & fraysol and Benjamin & Mo2 will have the chance to scale the rungs of Supercard 90: Tower of Power XVIII next weekend!
Ten of the top Duo Division teams will form the contender's tower, with legendary champions Marz & Violent`J perched atop the structure! Any combination who can scale the ominous structure will become the new Duo Division Champions! The Challenger 7 will have the first opportunity, before The Tower turns in on itself, eliminating each combination until there is one golden pair remaining! It all goes down next Sunday -- March 5th! Stay tuned for updates and fallout from Pre-Show 90!

Pre-Show 89: Control II
Late last year The Invasion controlled a war torn arena, but that all changed on the fateful night of December 19th, when their enemies combined to deal a devastating blow!
The United were there to boldly declare the cancellation of Monday Night Invasion -- replacing it in 2017 with their own plan for the weekly Monday Night Games! The United's championship gauntlet of power was broken at Supercard 88: Battle Royale, leaving them vulnerable to a return strike. The Invasion regrouped to come to Pre-Show 89: Control II to fight for domain over Monday nights!
The Invasion led with recent hot shot Shen_DuHBK, but it was The United who scored the first elimination when Murdoink reversed his fortunes. Loopster jumped into the firing line with the former Division 2 Champion, eating a hard shot. He was able to chip away at Murdoink in an epic brawl, evening the tally at 1-1. Former KFL Champion Mime exploded into the match with a double elimination, dominating both Loopster and Grayback! With his team trailing, Banging jumped in to work down Mime, and then evened the score at 3-3 with an impressive elimination of Mimik! He sunk a deep shot on Artanix, but the reigning Duo Division Champion was able to overcome the fatiguing fighter -- leaving only Invasion leader DaemonX! For a moment it looked as if it might come down to a sudden death face-off, but Artanix rallied to single-handedly lay claim to a follow-up defeat of last month's Duo Division Championship challengers!
The win ensures The United will continue to hold weekly court with their Monday Night Games! The fourth week of the new regular programme returns tomorrow. Be here for all the fall out! Also be watching for developments concerning next weekend's Supercard 89: Breaking Point!
The Invasion didn't fare much better in the undercard: Jason_Voorhees & edge found themselves locked in a hard fought, drag-out rankings battle with KittyKat & JoelKatz. The two teams seemed remarkably well matched, but in the end, it was KittyKat & JoelKatz who emerged supreme. "The Fallen" LordSkarlet & Corrupt hydraslash also put some distance between themselves and The Invasion, fending off a challenge from TripleH & WilliamRegal! The exact status of The Fallen's relationship with The Invasion has been unclear, with LordSkarlet's defeat in the Invasion Election now subject to an official review amidst allegations of vote tampering!
Porygonix notably brought Benjamin back to the Duo Division at Pre-Show 89, issuing a grudge match challenge in response to his Round 3 elimination from the 2017 Grand Slam Launch! There was an obvious home ground advantage for Pory and Jammer2Omega, but Benjamin showed some good chemistry, reteaming with Mo2 for the first time in quite some time. They put up a respectable performance, losing in the gentlest way possible.
In one of the most shocking results of the night: MercWithMouth's attempt to score payback against his Battle Royale eliminator Scott-Howell cost him dearly! It didn't take much to destroy the hopeful Duo fighter. A +5 impact a pale shadow of what legendary pairing CCShadow & Scott-Howell are capable of! The stunning defeat adds the third name to the Injured List for 2017.

Pre-Show 88: The Long Hard Road
A weight of expectation hung over Pre-Show 88: The Long Hard Road as the first major step on the path to Ultimate Grand Prix began! The stakes were high with six Qualifying matches offering guaranteed entry into the 2017 Battle Royale match -- a forty-fighter bout to determine who will challenge the Undisputed Champion in the main event of the annual Great Arena Spectacular!
DECEPTION reached new heights in 2016, successfully defending the Undisputed Championship in his first ever defense in the main event of Ultimate Grand Prix VI! At Pre-Show 88, his struggle to get back to the UGP spotlight headlined! "The Chosen One" Damo was in-form as Runner-Up of the 2017 Grand Slam Launch! He put up a titanic fight, but in the end, it was The Hitman who found his target, earning guaranteed entry into Battle Royale!
The_Purple_Bunny was MIA in December after suffering a vicious defeat at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence! Qualification meant a grudge match with the man who destroyed him inside the Steel Cage: VenoMark. It was a challenge too great; the jilted Supercard 87 title contender earning a devastating MAX Damage defeat against TPB!
"American Nightmare" LordSkarlet had a grudge of his own, ending an incredible year with a dragon to slay in the form of Statix! The Alliance fighter got the best of LS in back-to-back wins in the final week's programming, but LordSkarlet summoned an all mighty effort to earn guaranteed qualification into the match he almost won last year!
Few fighters ended the year as hot as "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! Her instrumental role in winning the war with The Invasion put her at the top of the contender stakes in many eyes! She may have been an overwhelming favourite against Invasion fighter Shen_DuHBK, but after his back-to-back upset wins against Genku, all bets were off! The Guardian showed indications of her hard end to the last year, but Shen_DuHBK's powers were clearly spent. CTR will now head into the 2017 Battle Royale as one of the favourites to win the annual match!
Also qualifying was the inspiration for the July 4 Battle Royal match: Scott-Howell! The former American Dream was comfortable beating Canadian Olympic stand-out Jerrod. Last year's surprise three-man eliminator Onimike couldn't earn his way back into the Battle Royale match, coming up short against the most exciting signing of 2016: G0LD!
In other battles: "Mad Dog" Onryo got a chance to settle the score with proXade in a Duo Division grudge match borne of his Round 3 loss. The New Generation comfortably put away The Greek Crisis. Invasion combination Jason_Voorhees & edge were also able to maintain the status quo, defending a grudge bout from their New Year's Resolution opponents, Politics & Menas!
It's all leading to Supercard 88: Battle Royale! We now know "Hitman" DECEPTION, VenoMark, "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet, "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile, Scott-Howell and G0LD will join 2016 Hall of Fame inductee and already announced entrant Hokey in the forty-fighter match! Who will earn the right to challenge for the Undisputed Championship at the greatest event on the calendar - Ultimate Grand Prix VII? Be here January 29th for full results from annual event!

Pre-Show 87: Resistance
The Great Arena has become a war zone! Various fighters of the Duo and Division 2 ranks sought to take advantage of the final Pre-Show for 2016, but it was all about the conflict with The Invasion!
"Invasion Contender Elect" Genku had a score to settle after his shock loss to "Portuguese Pegasus" Zentile during this week's Friday Night Fights! He took his opponent much more seriously this time, measuring him up for an all mighty victory that ended with a decisive +3 impact. The win helps The Invasion's elected contender save face, getting him back on the path to gold for next year!
"American Nightmare" LordSkarlet withstood the revenge of fired up Brexiteer ShawnMichaels, as well. He was out for payback for the demise of his Brexit ally AcidicWonder on December 5, but could not match the Invasion phenom that has been LordSkarlet! A comprehensive result leaving ShawnMichaels in a bad way after being betrayed by Banging on Friday. Banging's return to The Invasion ranks was official when he teamed with former ally Grayback against surviving Brexit fighters Liam & nif. It was a hard fought match, another bitter blow to the beleaguered Brexiters!
Invasion figurehead Violent`J teamed with neutral partner Marz to ensure one half of the Duo Division Championship remained firmly in the grasp of The Invasion. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 were no match for the legendary pair, comprehensively rebuked in a repeat of their Supercard 86 challenge!
The Invasion may've dominated the major matches, but they weren't completely unscathed by Pre-Show 87. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile inspired a Koalition of the willing to form on Friday Night Fights, and was able to lead them into battle in a five-on-five war against Invasion leader DaemonX! Thanks to Shen_DuHBK, it looked as if The Invasion would have the advantage, but as eliminations oscillated back and forth, it was The Guardian who stood firm against The Invasion. She fought hard to thwart SubScorpTile, setting up a final death scenario with DaemonX! Another victory for CTR against The Invasion figurehead!
The resistance also saw ArtemisFlow and Piccolo & GohanSon follow up their Friday Night Fights appearances with solid wins. Sgtf & BilboFett and deadpool & MercWithMouth combined efforts to upset Invasion combinations, as well.
Where will the war go from here? Stay tuned for tomorrow's Monday Night Invasion for the next chapter, and keep watching for the final major of 2016 when Supercard 87: End of Days lands next Sunday! The Undisputed Championship goes on the line in a triple threat match when United: Hokey defends against VenoMark and United: Mimik! And Team Xtreme will reach for their 20th consecutive Duo Division Championship defense when the meet "The United" Shoe & Artanix!

Pre-Show 86: Daemon Quest
There were many demons to be slain as grudges reached breaking point on the Sunday of Pre-Show 86: Daemon Quest! Fighters loyal to various factions were out in force, striking first blood ahead of next week's Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence - Invasion!
Way back in July, no one would've predicted Loopster would be the man to unseat the Undisputed Champion: DECEPTION! Never the less, that's exactly what happened in the Second Round of the 2016 Mid-Year Grand Slam! The upset victory never propelled Loopster to the top championship, but it established an unanswered grudge for The Hitman to excise once he lost! The long awaited one-on-one confrontation didn't disappoint, delivering DECEPTION to sweet satisfaction in a comprehensive +3 victory! The fluke nature of the July result can finally be noted, but the war is not over! At next week's Survivor Sequence Loopster will recruit two of his Invasion teammates to take on all three members of The New Generation in final battle!
It was to be a final battle when DaemonX took on DemoniaX for the soul and mind of wayward Invasion warrior Banging! The masked Kiwi became a pawn in the game between ShawnMichaels and his former allies in The Invasion. A game that will play out next week when The British Exit battle DaemonX and The Invasion in a 5-on-5 team bout! Supercard 86 will provide the grounds for the ultimate victory, but at Pre-Show 86, DaemonX attacked his doppelganger in name, fighting to erase the confusion used to exploit Banging! His victory was secured, but Banging hasn't been seen since he was confronted by Grayback during this week's Monday Night Invasion! Banging is the #1 Contender to the KFL Championship thanks to a win two weeks ago. Will he reemerge to bring the title back to The Invasion, or continue his role as The British Exit's converted assassin?
It was a bad night all around for The British Exit at Pre-Show 86! Sekktor & legoslayer10 struck back against The Brexiteers, looking for a little payback for taking the KFL contender spot he earned during the Halloween Battle Royal! Liam & nif were the unlucky duo who bared the brunt. Long time rivals Jason_Voorhees & edge also looked to do some damage ahead of Survivor Sequence, taking down Ironize & AcidicWonder in a convincing win.
DaemonX's Invasion enforcer The Great Genku had a rough fight when he faced a 2-on-1 reprisal for his role in putting Menas on the shelf earlier in the year! The one-time "Duo Destroyer" met his match in the recently reunited combination, but was able to hold his ground to claim a hard fought win. The match may not have gone the way of Politics & Menas, but the strength of their showing once again confirms that they're back and ready to recommit themselves to the Duo Division!
The Invasion are fighting a war on multiple fronts! Will fighters like Genku be the difference maker when their forces are stretched to the limit? Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence - Invasion is just one week away! While The United combust a main event Undisputed Championship clash between Royal Roulette winner Hokey and champion Mimik -- The Invasion will fight for their survival in team bouts against The British Exit, The Alliance and The New Generation! It all goes down next Sunday - November 20th! Be here all week as we prepare for the Sequence engage!

Pre-Show 85: Rage in the Cage
It was a night of surprises and high stakes as Pre-Show 85: Rage in the Cage set the stage for next week's Tower of Power XVII, and returned the dreaded Steel Cage to The Great Arena! The heinous construct would house but one of several bitter grudge matches appearing on the card.
Ratt should've been fighting for the Duo Division Championship, but the interference of "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet ensured his partner NightHawk was advised against competing. Ratt's fury already delivered MAX Damage a mere week ago during Supercard 84, but he wasn't finished dolling out retribution! Rattamania ran directly into the cold, unforgiving Steel Cage he helped initiate way back at Supercard 76! The return resulted in a equally violent affair, but this time the steel bars resembled the clasp of a trap! LordSkarlet was still smarting from his previous loss, but that desperation seemed to spur something within him. The American Nightmare tasted his own blood, fuel for a vicious assault that assured if he was going down -- Ratt would go with him! Somehow, some way, LordSkarlet emerged from the Steel Cage a victor, if not in the condition of a winner.
A fighter very familiar with the threat of the Steel Cage is VenoMark. As he has every time he's entered the cage, VenoMark claimed victory in the undercard of Rage in the Cage! A comprehensive win over The_Purple_Bunny evens the score after his loss at Supercard 84, and sets him back on a path toward the Undisputed Championship he so intensely covets!
Fourteen teams were in The Great Arena to qualify for Challenger 7 status at the coming Supercard 85: Tower of Power XVII, but only six would guarantee their spot! In a stunning turn of events, the very first match of the night also produced no winner: a tied result when Shinnokxz & NosajSamoht went the distance with Kiara85 & Stealth-Ninja! It was a very different case for "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane who definitively qualified for the Challenger 7 when their match ended in a fatal injury! rxvt joins a growing Incapacitated List. Jason_Voorhees & edge got the better of "The British Exit" Ironize & AcidicWonder, continuing The Invasion's dominance after this week's shocking assault on Friday Night Fights!
It wasn't all bad news for The British Exit at Pre-Show 85. Liam & nif faced arch-rivals "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade in one of several battles designed to sure up positions on The Tower of Power itself! They earned a confident win against their Greek rivals. Likewise, CCShadow & Scott-Howell and Mark & Leroy earned hard fought wins that should give them the best chance possible to climb Tower of Power XVII! This year the ultimate challenge will be "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J whose reign will reach 364 days next week -- just 2 days shy of a full year!
TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile will be the #1 team at Tower of Power XVII, perfectly positioned for an epoch-making dethroning thanks to their Supercard 84 contenders match win! It's the same type of fairy tale end Poasty had hoped for when he entered Tournament 75!
Murdoink was the fighter who ended Poasty's dream of reclaiming the Division 2 Championship he technically never lost. The Third Round loss was a bitter disappointment for Poasty, who'd trained to prepare for the tournament. It only got worse when Murdoink arrived at Pre-Show 85 sporting the support of The United! Poasty's bad blood with The United peaked during the September 16th edition of Friday Night Fights, leading to a team-up win at Supercard 83. The mind game appeared to have no effect on Poasty, however, who rushed Murdoink down, earning a very solid victory!
The Division 2 Championship won't fall directly into Poasty's hands just yet, though. Benjamin was also spurned by Tournament 75, and took the opportunity to earn his own solid win against Division 2 Championship V winner Zentile! The Portuguese Pegasus looked solid, but Benjamin was back in scintillating form. The Division 2 situation is getting very interesting -- but next week it will be all about the Duo Division when Supercard 85: Tower of Power XVII emanates from The Great Arena! Do not miss it!

Pre-Show 84: A Lovely Tea Party
The whimsy of the Pre-Show 84: A Lovely Tea Party banner failed to capture the seriousness of consequences and severe action taken during the first of two Pre-Shows in October! The night's events would have significant implications for every title picture as contenders clashed in a double main event, and the KFL and Division 2 Championships were put on the line!
The titular catchphrase belongs to rising Invasion influencer Violent`J. This clownish Hall of Famer has a history of absurdity that belies his cunning and fighting prowess! As one half of the reigning Duo Division Champions, Violent`J is chasing an unprecedented record of 1 full year as champ! His Invasion connections helped prolong the process, but the rise of Ratt & NightHawk at Supercard 83 turned up the heat. VJ struck back, recruiting The Fallen into The Invasion to initiate "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet with a vicious attack on NightHawk. As he's done so many times before, Ratt rose the challenge and called out The Invasion! Unfortunately, Rattamania finally met a force it couldn't steamroll! Violent`J had stipulated that Ratt's challenge had to be a duo encounter of his choosing -- a calculated tactic that allowed he and LordSkarlet to combine powers to devastating effect! Their decimation of the #1 Contenders came with a +7 rated impact that left NightHawk in bad shape -- just one week before Team Xtreme defends their Duo Division titles!
The advantage will clearly be in the hands of Team Xtreme when Ratt & NightHawk enter Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival -- next Sunday, October 9th! An event that we now know will have another intriguing title fight in the main event!
As Runner-Up of the Night of Champions Battle Royal; ElJobber had his sights set on a long awaited rematch with Undisputed Champion DECEPTION. It was ElJobber who lost the belt at Supercard 76, beginning the 2016 reign of The New Generation! To get there, ElJobber needed to overcome the former champ he'd outlasted: Mimik! The one-time "King of the Battle Royal" had thrived in the multi-man elimination match - at least until ElJobber helped turn him against United teammate Hokey! The United bounced back in a supposed show of solidarity during this week's Friday Night Fights, and Mimik kept the win streak going with a confident victory at Pre-Show 84!
Mimik will be the second Hall of Famer to contest DECEPTION's reign at the top when they go head-to-head at Supercard 84! For DECEPTION: it's another challenge of the unknown - one he'll meet with all the confidence of his past victories! Mimik has everything to prove, and with Hokey biding time on his Royal Roulette title opportunity, tension between The United will remain!
No such concern for Statix, who comfortably defended the KFL Championship against Jason_Voorhees in the uninterrupted one-on-one shot he's been chasing since Dead Or Alive IX! He fought well, but The Invasion fighter couldn't overcome The Alliance legend's power positive!
Rising Division 2 challenger ArtemisFlow fared well in an attempt to upset reigning champ "The Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile. A streak of five wins against top contenders brought ArtemisFlow to the attention of bookers. It wasn't enough to propel the Finnish fighter to a dethroning win against the enduring Night of Champions winner.
Be watching weekly events for all the fallout from Pre-Show 84! Then be back here for the first of two Supercard in October! Return to the Dark Carnival will be a festival of uncertainty as United: Mimik challenges DECEPTION for the Undisputed Championship, and Ratt & NightHawk limp into a Duo Division Championship clash with ringmasters Marz & Violent`J on their 350th day as title holders! All this and much more - Sunday, October 9th!
