Supercard 76: Ratt in a Cage

It's the final stop on the road to Ultimate Grand Prix! A blockbuster event unto itself - Supercard 76: Ratt in a Cage promised a level of history making befitting the annual spectacle of UGP! For the first time in the history of The Great Arena fighters would enter into a Steel Cage to engage in an act of mutual brutality. Would it spell the end for one of the Hall of Famers competing?

15. Ratt defeated Crow in a mutually destructive encounter! [-6/-11] [Steel Cage Fight]
For the first time in history, two fighters stepped into The Great Arena only to be encased centre stage in a cage of steel bars! With no way of anybody getting in,  or anybody out - finally Ratt could count on a fair one-on-one encounter with the venomous Crow! Ratt's desire to inflict punishment on his fellow Hall of Famer reached new highs when NightHawk was forced onto the sidelines due to injury, and Crow once again played the numbers game in a 2-on-1 assault at Pre-Show 75! Utilizing the cage as a weapon, Ratt unleashed his fury! The pent up aggression turned the steel cage into an all encompassing weapon! Crow may have started as a mere critic of Ratt's admission to the Hall of Fame late last year, but the blood feud fuelled him to engage in his own acts of mutual torture! Crow may have succeeded in making Ratt hurt, but in the end the bloody battle was dominated by the Ratt in the Cage! The price for his victory wasn't all one-way, though. Although Crow was by far the worse for wear, Ratt too found himself nursing severe injuries as Supercard 76 came to a close.

14. "The Hitman" DECEPTION defeated ElJobber (c) in a hard fought solid win! [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
The focus heading into the match seemed to be DECEPTION's heavy underdog status. He returned from the injury list as a surprise entrant at Battle Royale, before making a full comeback at Tower of Power XV. Until the February Supercard, he'd never contested the Undisputed Championship and he'd never defeated ElJobber in a 1-on-1 encounter. Yet his ability to battle to the champion was enough to inspire a retest of his abilities. At Tower of Power XV he had to beat five opponents to become champion -- at Supercard 76 he only had to beat one! The resulting title bout was a hard fought encounter that lived up to every bit of the hype! With the gold at stake, "The Hitman" was able to raise his game in the dying moments, eking out the biggest win of his career - the culmination of a two year journey! DECEPTION may at last be living the dream, but the ultimate test will be keeping it. The upset positions him to defend the title in the main event of Ultimate Grand Prix - where Hall of Famer Kron waits to crush his dreams on the grandest stage of them all!

13. "Guardians of the Crow" Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon defeated NightHawk & CaTigeReptile in a comprehensive win! [+3]
NightHawk & Ratt had already succeeded in besting Guardians of the Crow at Battle Royale, but the injuries NightHawk had sustained in ambushes prior put him on the sidelines post-event. Recovered, he recruited CaTigeReptile as his partner for a comeback clash -- all too happy to show them what a true Guardian is all about! Alas; the fairy tale ending was not to be. The tandem expertise between Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon was overwhelming as NightHawk & CaTigeReptile found themselves scrambling for answers. The champion team too great for the team of champions! It was no doubt a disappointing loss, but NightHawk could take one consolation -- the winners wouldn't be able to interfere in Ratt's main event grudge match against the ringleader Crow!

12. The_Purple_Bunny defeated "The Redeemer" LordSkarlet in convincing fashion. [+2]
The_Purple_Bunny's obsession with regaining the Undisputed Championship led him to orchestrate a grand conspiracy against Damo & The Service Krew at Battle Royale. His ruse failed to produce the title opportunity desired, and it seemed Battle Royale Runner-Up LordSkarlet was the one TPB intended to blame! "The Redeemer" may have stunned everyone with his star making performance in the forty-fighter battle, but the target placed on him since has meant a winless 2016! TPB's fury was simply too great for the up-and-coming fighter! Now 0-7 for the year, it seems it's LordSkarlet who must seek redemption. All eyes now move to next week's Tournament 64: Grand Prix Warm-Up!

11. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) defeated Unknown265 & mwgrant0 in a dominant victory! [+5] [-1up] [Duo Division Championship]
They've been one of the prominent success stories in the Duo Division coming out of 2015, and after earning their title match at Pre-Show 76 there were few doubts about Unknown265 & mwgrant0. In fact, having finally capitalized on the momentum many felt they've had for some time, there was a tiny belief that the dominance of Team Xtreme might finally come to an end. Instead, the Hall of Fame Duo issued a chilling demonstration of the risks of running against them! The challengers crumbled under the combined might of Marz & Violent`J -- mwgrant0 helpless as he succumbed to the tandem assault! Team Xtreme extend their title reign to 141 days with the win, setting themselves up for a prime opportunity at a UGP Championship defense. The only question now - who can possibly dethrone them?!

10. "The United" Shoe & Artanix defeated "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane and "The Invasion" Rhyno & Grayback in a gruelling three-way! [+1/+1/-2]
It was a tangled affair as The Alliance cast aspersions in two directions: Vitriol against The Invasion forces of Rhyno & Grayback, and suspicion against "The United" Shoe & Artanix. AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane were effectively caught in the middle as The United attempted to prove their new management wasn't anything to do with The Invasion, despite an appearance during the unannounced inaugural Monday Night gathering [2/22/16]. If seeing is believing; Rhyno & Grayback's capitulation seemed to confirm no relationship between United & Invasion, but their strong finish over The Alliance may leave too much to the imagination for some. Given The Alliance's paranoia since losing Shen_DuHBK, Jason_Voorhees & edge on the February 12th edition of Friday Night Fights - anything is possible!

9. "The Chosen One" Damo defeated The Great Genku in a comprehensive victory! [+6]
During Tower of Power XV, there was only one fighter in the Challenger 7 who managed to show up The Great Genku! Intent on gaining some serious payback and boosting his contention prospects, the former Undisputed Champion thought he had a patsy in Damo. "The Chosen One" may not have been the hand-picked dominator he thought he was at Battle Royale, but his belief is becoming a reality! This time Genku not only struggled with the power offense of Damo, but also suffered a +6 impact in the process! The win keeps Damo on the path to bigger and better things.

8. "The Invasion" ShawnMichaels, DaemonX & Banging defeated VenoMark, MKR & blacksaibot in a strong win. [+3]
Seasoned competitor VenoMark knew he needed something special if he was to take down the combined might of The Invasion. To the surprise of many, suspended fighter blacksaibot made his return as the mystery third man in his grudge squad. Sadly, it wasn't enough to stymie the power play of KFL desecrator ShawnMichaels, who recruited DaemonX & KFL Champion Banging for a confident victory! It's unfinished business for VenoMark, who lost the KFL title to ShawnMichaels in a surprise upset during the February 5th Friday Night Fights. Payback will have to wait!

7. Mime defeated King Ken and Knickxasawrrrr in a decimating finish! [+5/-3/-2]
They rocked The Great Arena with their Tower of Power rankings match during the February 19th Friday Night Fights. It only made sense the three-way grudge would be escalated to Supercard 76! Knickxasawrrrr had completely decimated Ken during the first encounter, taking +MAX from the King of the World. Ken's desire for revenge added a new dimension to the bout, but Knickxasawrrrr's own feud with Mime & ElJobber over the corrupt of UlcaTron was another facet added rising tension to the combo. In the end, the status quo remained the same. King Ken did succeed in taking Y2K out in the early goings, but Mime once again scooped victory with a confident finish!

6. m0s defeated United: Hokey [+1]
They were two of the highly touted Tower of Power contenders, but they both succumbed to the rising phoenix that was DECEPTION. With recent Undisputed Champion Hokey vulnerable, the brief #1 contender seized on the opportunity to secure his position with a much needed win! It's another blow for The United pinch hitter, whose run in 2016 seems to have completely inverted from the success story of his championship capped 2015! A challenge for The United's new management to deal with!

5. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo defeated "Lucifer's Ladder" Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash [+1]
Corrupt no more! The New Generation has broken free of the dark influence that steered them through 2015! Eager to fight back the grim forces, they set themselves back on the winning path against "Lucifer's Ladder" Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash! It was by no means a one-sided affair, but the victory keeps Baraka_MK & Onryo firmly in the hunt for Duo Division Championship contention!

4. Benjamin (c) defeated "The Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile in a comprehensive win! [+1] [Division 2 Championship]
Benjamin was dominant in his second defence as the Division 2 Champion. The Secret Weapon has racked up a string of big wins in the last two months, but once again disappointed on the Supercard stage. The fight was grossly one-sided, despite SubScorpTile bouncing back from a disappointing Tower of Power with a dominant win over former Div.2 Champion Zentile at Pre-Show 76.

3. Politics & Menas defeated "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade in a solid win. [+1]
Still smarting after missing out on the Pre-Show 76 #1 contenders match due to their failed challenge on Friday Night Fights; "The Greek Crisis" were eager to take their aggressions out on the men who kept them from the gold! Too bad for them. Politics & Menas were clearly in a fighting mood coming off the contender's loss! A strong performance left the Greeks with nothing but pain!

2. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger defeated Loopster in convincing fashion. [+1]
The desire shown by Loopster in recent matches promised to set him up as a compelling challenge for "The Predator" TonyTheTiger. There can be no doubting Loopster has tremendous conditioning from his past career, but TTT showed once again why he's the apex predator that doesn't need to evolve! TTT remains the eternal dark horse in the chase for top honors. Loopster able to hold his head high.

1. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix defeated Liam & nif in a solid victory! [+1]
Liam & nif's desire to chase the Duo Division gold took another big hit as they faced one of the most promising teams of 2016. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix continued to develop their chemistry under the Supercard spotlight, earning a convincing victory. An emerging team to watch!
