Supercard 92: Spring Classic (2017)

The Spring Classic has become an annual tradition! A carnival to celebrate everything that came before at Ultimate Grand Prix VII -- and everything that will be in the coming months! The Spring Classic attracts some of the greatest fighters in Great Arena history, giving them one final stop on the UGP Season calendar to engage in legendary exhibition bouts, and bitter grudge matches! In 2017, The Classic delivers something for everybody with UGP dynasties tested in exciting ways!

14. "The Chosen One" Damo defeated VenoMark (c) in a hard fought victory! [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
Damo officially earned the right to challenge for the Undisputed Championship in a #1 Contenders match at Pre-Show 92, but his journey to The Spring Classic has been much longer. He started the year right as Runner-Up in the 2017 Grand Slam Launch, and made good on his promise to win the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal at Ultimate Grand Prix VII! Everything about his run suggests he truly is "The Chosen One", but it was a very different story at the end of last year! An intense rivalry with VenoMark culminated at the All-Star Summer Showdown with a Steel Cage Fight that placed Damo's career in serious jeopardy! He only fought a few more times after the brutal grudge match loss, staggering from one defeat to the next. On the flip side: VenoMark rode his success to the final elimination of Battle Royale (2017), an unprecedented 6-fighter Eliminator win for the Undisputed Championship at Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures, and a main event title defense at UGP!

VenoMark's path had been hard fought and well earned, so at The Spring Classic he was naturally expected to beat an opponent he'd long since put behind him. Everybody thought it would be hard and fast, an easy finish to a brutal month. The only person who wasn't aware of that was Damo! He declared himself "The Chosen One" under false pretenses over a year ago, but at the 2017 Spring Classic he was determined to make his claim a reality! In a hard fought heavyweight encounter, he threw everything he had at his old rival! When the dust settled, Damo was everything he said he was -- and the new Undisputed Champion! A shocking conclusion to another Spring Classic!

13. "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell defeated Ratt & NightHawk (c) in a competitive contest! [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
Ratt & NightHawk set a new bar for the Duo Division Championship when they dethroned Team Xtreme in one of the biggest moments of Ultimate Grand Prix VII! Earlier that same night: "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell followed up their Grand Prix Show tournament win with another solid victory! The long serving combo have been reinvigorated since joining The Invasion, and promised to make an exciting challenge for titles they've unbelievably only held once before! It was the perfect storm for a momentous Spring Classic showdown -- and the battle did not disappoint! Both teams showed incredible desire, representing a standard for team competition rarely seen! Ratt & NightHawk entered the contest as favourites, but their uneven chemistry showed signs of weakness against the studied cohesion of the challengers. In a moment that will go down in history, CCShadow & Scott-Howell turned the new Duo Division Championship era on its head - claiming a well earned second reign in a classic match!

12. "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet defeated United: Shoe in a brutal battle! [-2/-6] [Steel Cage Fight]
Tensions between The Fallen and The United have been present since the night after members of The Fallen reorganized at Tower of Power XVIII -- but they escalated dramatically this week with the unexpected fatal defeat of hydraslash during VS United! LordSkarlet immediately lasted out to upgrade a scheduled team match to one of the most vicious challenges a fighter can issue: The Steel Cage Fight! The "American Nightmare" was a pacing predator as United: Shoe made a nervous entry into the dread metal construct! LordSkarlet has made an unlikely habit of turning the cage into his own personal chamber of horrors, using it to viciously beat King Ken as recently as Ultimate Grand Prix VII! In his first time inside the steel, Shoe made an admirable attempt to control the fight much as he has on Mondays. The order was short-lived, however, as LordSkarlet gave in to his primal urges! Slamming and raking Shoe against the cold metal, he announced the beginning of his Red Reign! A heinous victory that left Shoe unable to stand, but clearly took a toll on both fighters.

11. Genku defeated "Y2Juggalo" Violent`J in a comprehensive win! [+4]
The man called Genku has been walking a bitter path since his short-lived title reign ended at Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures. He was beaten soundly by VenoMark, but has found no shortage of targets to receive his blame. Violent`J had a legitimate part to play as the man who falsely accused Genku of Invasion Election fraud, but in a twist of fate and parody, its the "Y2Juggalo" who went after Genku, blaming him for costing Team Xtreme their Duo Division Championship at Ultimate Grand Prix VII! Genku beat Violent`J for information on the March 24th edition of Friday Night Fights, unlocking the key to an actual conspiracy! It was another act of contempt shared between two fighters who never respected each other - even when they were fighting for the same side. That dislike was plainly evident as Genku took advantage of his upper hand, beating the Hall of Famer mercilessly to the tune of a heavyweight +4 impact. A much needed win for the beleaguered fighter.

10. "Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging defeated "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge in a comprehensive victory! [+1]
It was Jason_Voorhees & edge who issued the challenge for The Spring Classic, but both teams had reasons to fight coming out of Ultimate Grand Prix VII! Oozaru tried to take on the entirety of The Invasion at UGP, fighting for the soul of his Pacific Connection partner Banging! He succeeded in taking out edge, but was bundled out early in a surprise elimination by Jason! Banging had been part of Oozaru's team all along, and The Spring Classic was a chance for The Invasion to strike back at their wayward son. The only problem was overcoming the awesome reunion of one of the greatest tag teams in ICWW/Great Arena history! The Pacific Connection have been on fire since reconnecting, dominating the division during Friday Night Fights! Jason_Voorhees & edge may have earned their way to the top of the Duo Division, but they were no match for the fan-favourites! The damage was minor, but the result was never in doubt. Oozaru & Banging were dominant at The Spring Classic!

9. Poasty defeated MKMaster (c) in a comprehensive victory! [+6] [Division 2 Championship]
2017 is turning into a breakout year for MKMaster! He was completely unexpected as Runner-Up in the 2017 Grand Prix Warm-Up tournament. He surprised again, leveraging the result into a last minute Div. 2 Championship win, that also saw him successfully defend the title at Ultimate Grand Prix VII! MKM's title win took full advantage of Poasty's intense focus on slaying his dragon at UGP. With both fighters victorious at the Supercard of Supercards, it could only mean a highly anticipated rematch at The Spring Classic! The champ showed signs of his impressive momentum, but destiny was on the side of Poasty! With the crowd in attendance on their feet, Poasty set the record straight, winning the Division 2 Championship for a glorious third time!

8. Pink_Ranger defeated "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile in a solid win. [+1]
She may've lost the KFL Championship at UGP7, and been rejected by the women of the league at Pre-Show 92, but CaTigeReptile will always have the distinction of being the league's only Women's Champion -- unless you ask Pink_Ranger! The original "Queen Bee" of The Great Arena returned to The Spring Classic to prove you can't crown a Women's Champion without going through her! It was an unexpected challenge that brought an even more unexpected result! CTR had showed tremendous strength two days prior, but languished in her battle with the returning legend! In front of a stunned crowd, Pink_Ranger backed her chutzpah up with a stunning Spring Classic victory!

7. United: Mime (c) defeated NovaStarr in convincing fashion. [+3] [KFL Championship]
With his win at Ultimate Grand Prix VII: Mime ended the reign of the KFL Women's Championship begun in February. With so many women still positioned to be contenders, fifteen of the league's top ladies were invited to compete in a final gender-exclusive Contender's Elimination Battle Royal at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution. There; NovaStarr endured as last woman standing after they all turned on self-appointed "Guardian" and former champ: CaTigeReptile! CTR was NovaStarr's only elimination for the entire match, but it was the one to counted! With her title shot secured, NovaStarr marched into The Spring Classic -- only to be convincingly defeated. It's been controversial, but the position that the Women's Championship lowered the gold has been hard to disprove.

6. "The United" Artanix, The_Purple_Bunny & Murdoink defeated "The Fallen" Sekktor, legoslayer10 & redman in a comprehensive victory! [+7]
Hostilities between The Fallen and The United began the night after Tower of Power XVIII, where LordSkarlet orchestrated a re-organization of fractured allies, and used that week's Monday Night Games to test their might. The Spring Classic was supposed to pit the two teams against one another in a 5-on-5 Survival Sequence -- but the unveiling of new member redman during an edition of VS United also cost them hydraslash! The shock injury dramatically escalated tensions between the two groups, with Sekktor, legoslayer10 & redman insisting on carrying on the fight in a contest of trios! An admirable challenge, but an overwhelming one as lethal victor Artanix was joined by legendary 6-time Undisputed Champion The_Purple_Bunny and Murdoink! The Fallen trio were hopelessly outmatched as The United utterly decimated them! A devastating result ending in a fortune +7 impact, but not the final word on the feud! "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet would still have a chance to even the score in a Steel Cage Fight against United leader: Shoe.

5. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger defeated United: Mimik [+1]
History will remember Mimik as a three-time winner over TonyTheTiger at Ultimate Grand Prix, but The Predator could not let his loss at UGP7 be the final word on their rivalry! He was desperate to rewrite his fate at the 2017 Spring Classic, and used that fire to fuel the attack on his Hall of Fame nemesis! Mimik put up a solid defense, but TTT found the ferocity he'd lacked on the big stage, using it to secure a modest but clear victory!

4. Statix defeated DArqueBishop in convincing fashion. [+2]
When Statix went to Friday Night Fights the week after UGP7, he was looking for DArqueBishop -- but got Ghrimm instead. A subsequent attack confirmed Statix' hunch that a chess piece dropped by Shen_DuHBK at Ultimate Grand Prix VII might have something to do with The Invasion. The Spring Classic gave Statix the platform he needed to draw DArqueBishop into the open. A convincing win gave him the leverage to challenge DArqueBishop on his role as the Invasion's newest kingpin. DAB produced another bishop after the match -- revealing that he received the chess piece from DaemonX upon accepting the position as The Invasion's new management. He offered no further details, leaving Statix to ponder the latest twist in The Case of The Italian Bishop.

3. Mark & Leroy defeated Jammer2Omega & Porygonix in a solid contest. [+1]
An underdog victory at Ultimate Grand Prix VII brought Mark & Leroy one step closer to the pinnacle of the Duo Division that Jammer2Omega & Porygonix have guarded since rising in 2016. The Spring Classic was the perfect stage to test these two teams in titanic tag competition. Their clash was a close one, but in another mild upset - it was Mark & Leroy who took the next step toward the Duo Championship! A stunning follow-up to their demoralizing defeat of The New Generation!

2. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK, Onryo & DECEPTION defeated The_Hurricane, GreenLantern & AlexanderLuthorJr in a comprehensive trio victory! [+3]
Despite going their separate ways after Ultimate Grand Prix VII: The New Generation were happy to reconvene as a trio to help Baraka_MK deal with a triple threat of super-foes who've vexed him during the Monday Night Games. GreenLantern has dogged BMK since the night after UGP, with AlexanderLuthorJr taking his turn April 17th, before the pair double-teamed BMK on April 24th! "Mad Dog" Onryo helped BMK beat both at Pre-Show 92, and now "The Hitman" DECEPTION was on target to even the odds with The_Hurricane stepping in to help the "dynamic duo". Even with The_Hurricane's help, their super-team could not negate the awesome force that is The New Generation! The Spring Classic granted them a nice reason to celebrate as a team!

1. Politics & Menas defeated McDaniel & fraysol [+1]
The Brexiteers were the target of McDaniel & fraysol when they went to Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but it was Politics & Menas who walked away from the three-way duo battle the ultimate victors. Liam & nif were dealt with at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution; advancing McDaniel & fraysol to a UGP grudge match at The Spring Classic! Without the burden of a second rival team, they were much more competitive. Politics & Menas were just too strong in the end.

Fight Not Over For Predator

"The Predator" TonyTheTiger was left frustrated and humiliated at Ultimate Grand Prix VII when his third showdown with United: Mimik on the big stage ended in another UGP defeat.

The "threepeat" may be the final word on Mimik's supremacy at Ultimate Grand Prix, but it won't be the last of TonyTheTiger in 2016! The Predator still has some fight left in him, and rather than slink away with his tail between his legs -- he's coming for blood at the Spring Classic!

The UGP rematch adds one more massive match to a jam-packed Sunday Supercard full of action! It's another installment of the unique, post-UGP epilogue where a carnival-like atmosphere takes over and a curious mix of past, present and future take centre stage! You won't want to miss any of the results! Be here tomorrow for all the action!

Friday Night Fights (April 28, 2017)

CaTigeReptile was fighting for herself during this week's Friday Night Fights, returning to face the impromptu duo of Cherri & LadyRaiden -- just two of the fourteen female fighters who turned on The Guardian during the Elimination Battle Royal at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution!

CTR was electrifying as she ran willingly toward the stacked odds of a 2-on-1 showdown! Cherri & LadyRaiden succeeded in briefly suppressing CaTigeReptile during the 15-Woman Battle Royal on Sunday, but were drastically outclassed without the rest of the league's women contributing to the chaos! The Guardian had no trouble dominating her opponents -- letting them off lightly with a mere +2 rated impact! The win gives her momentum heading in to The Spring Classic where the original "Queen Bee" Pink_Ranger will return to prove herself the greatest woman of all time!

One of the greatest duos of all time dominated in the night's main event: "Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging had absolutely no trouble dealing a decisive defeat to "The Invasion" Loopster & Jauger in a final test! The Pacific Connection will meet Invasion rivals Jason_Voorhees & edge at this weekend's Spring Classic, where the anticipated post-UGP grudge match is expected to have major implications for the Duo Division Championship!

"Mad Dog" Onryo struggled to get his Division 2 Championship aspirations back on track after last week's hard hitting grudge loss to G0LD. It was a close fought affair resulting in minimum damage, but G0LD once again got the better of the lone New Generation fighter!

Poasty will take on MKMaster in a highly anticipated Div.2 Championship match in two days at Supercard 92: The Spring Classic! The main event will pit UGP Battle Royal winner "The Chosen One" Damo against Undisputed Champion VenoMark, with "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell set to seek their second Duo Division Championship reign against Team Xtreme slayers Ratt & NightHawk! All that and much more -- be here in two days for all the action!

CTR Returns to FNF Tomorrow

"The Guardian" CaTigeReptile has a huge challenge on her hands this weekend at the Spring Classic when Pink_Ranger returns to prove you can't crown a Women's Champion without beating the original "Queen Bee" of The Great Arena!

CTR's reign as KFL Women's Champion technically ended at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but it was the Elimination Battle Royale at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution that saw the women of the league summarily turn on their self-appointed Guardian!

As she prepares for the 2017 Spring Classic: CaTigeReptile will return to this week's Friday Night Fights to confront two of the women who attempted to end her reign -- Cherri & LadyRaiden!

It's sure to be an intriguing final test of CaTigeReptile's strength as she runs the gauntlet of a 2-on-1 handicap match -- tomorrow, April 28th! Be here for all the results as we count down to this weekend for Supercard 92: The Spring Classic!

3 Team Bouts Added to Spring Classic

The 2017 Spring Classic is just days away, but the unique post-UGP carnival is still piling on the intrigue! Today, officials confirmed three more massive team bouts for this Sunday!

The brutal injuring of hydraslash during this week's VS United has rendered The Fallen's challenge for a 5-on-5 Survival Sequence no longer possible. The fresh addition of redman still leaves their "Red Reign" a man short, but if you think they're backing down - you're dead wrong!

The Fallen will be more motivated than ever before when Sekktor, legoslayer10 & redman rise to challenge "The United" Artanix, The_Purple_Bunny & Murdoink in a contest of trios! That's in addition to the emotionally charged Steel Cage Fight already set up when "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet issued the challenge to United: Shoe at the end of Monday Night Games!

"The New Generation" Baraka_MK, Onryo & DECEPTION will also be re-united for a three-on-three showdown when BMK's nemeses GreenLantern & AlexanderLuthorJr recruit surprise sympathetic fan The_Hurricane to their cause! The_Hurricane is an accomplished team fighter and could be the difference against a fractured New Generation!

PLUS: Hot only the heels of their Ultimate Grand Prix VII victory against BMK & Onryo -- top Duo Division contenders Mark & Leroy will look to secure their championship hopes when they take on a team on the cusp of greatness: Jammer2Omega & Porygonix!

It's all part of a massive epilogue to the month of UGP! Be here Sunday, April 30th for another huge Spring carnival when "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell challenge Ratt & NightHawk for the Duo Division Champions! It all goes down at Supercard 92: The Spring Classic!

Supercard 92: Spring Classic (April 30th, 2017):

Classic Queen Bee Challenges CTR

With her win of the KFL Championship in February: "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile effectively declared herself the best woman competing in the league. Her dominant defenses against other female fighters made it difficult to argue -- but one classic competitor isn't convinced!

Pink_Ranger was the original 'Queen Bee' of The Great Arena! She rose to prominence as a fixture of the early years of competition, and one-half of the first-ever Duo Division Champions!

There's no denying the indelible mark Pink_Ranger left on the league -- and it's easy to see why she cannot believe a Women's Champion could be crowned without her!

CTR has defeated most of the women on the active roster, tearing through many when they turned on their self-appointed Guardian during the 15-Woman Contender's Elimination Battle Royal at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution! Now she faces the test of an unknown quantity as Pink_Ranger returns to competition for a titanic showdown at Supercard 92: Spring Classic!

Supercard 92: Spring Classic (April 30th, 2017):
"The Chosen One" Damo versus VenoMark (c) [Undisputed Championship]
- "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell versus Ratt & NightHawk (c) [Duo Division Championship]
- "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet versus United: Shoe [Steel Cage Fight]
NovaStarr versus United: Mime (c) [KFL Championship]
- Poasty versus MKMaster (c) [Division 2 Championship]
- "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge versus "Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging
- Violent`J versus Genku
- Statix versus DArqueBishop
- Pink_Ranger versus "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile
- McDaniel & fraysol versus Politics & Menas

Monday Night Games: VS United (April 24, 2017)

Just a fortnight after the inaugural edition of VS United, the exciting new format returned to Monday Night Games! This time, the competing team is a highly motivated one. The Fallen have been trying to prove their dominance of The United since the night after their reunion at Tower of Power XVIII. Their challenge would be a preview of this weekend's Spring Classic, bringing with it the reveal of The Fallen's newest addition -- and the introduction of a new VS United Championship rule!

The question of The Fallen's fifth fighter was soon answered with the introduction of their team line-up: "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet, legoslayer10, Sekktor, hydraslash & new addition redman! He certainly fits the theme of the "Red Reign" that LordSkarlet promises is coming.

Competing for The United this week: Shoe, Artanix, Murdoink, zelse & reigning KFL Champion Mime! Between them, this formidable force represents 1x Undisputed Championship, 8x Duo Division Championships, 6x KFL Championships, and 4x Division 2 Championships! Supreme skill!

The two newest members of the respective teams were chosen for the first contest. Despite it being his first match for The Fallen: redman had no trouble starting them off with a convincing +2 rated impact! The former KFL Champion was too strong for United rookie zelse. A 4 point start for The Fallen!

legoslayer10 tried to keep the momentum in The Fallen's favour against Murdoink. It was a hard fought contest, but it was Murdoink who found the edge to squeeze out a basic victory. 3 points for The United, meaning The Fallen stayed 1pt ahead.

With the overall points hanging in the balance, hydraslash attempted to apply his Duo Division expertise in countering the powers of Duo expert Artanix. The resulting clash was a shockingly one-sided decimation that left hydraslash utterly destroyed! The brutal +28 impact was too much for hydraslash, who succumbed to a devastating injury! The 30 point result put The United firmly in the lead - and means The Fallen are a man short for their 5-on-5 Survival Sequence at The Spring Classic!

Furious over his partner's fatal encounter, Sekktor challenged Mime to up the stakes by putting his KFL Championship on the line! The United agreed to the added stipulation, creating a new rule that means a bonus score of 3 points for a championship defense. Mime had no trouble rising to the occasion, defending the gold with a solid victory! He'll aim to do the same at The Spring Classic when he defends the title against Pre-Show 92 Battle Royal winner NovaStarr!

The final battle was an emotionally charged face-off between team leaders! The game was forgotten as LordSkarlet attempted to avenge his fallen comrade, and strike back against the dominant United! Shoe took no pleasure from hydraslash's injury, but wouldn't allow The American Nightmare to walk all over him! He stood firm against The Fallen leader, scoring a solid win for 4 points. The defeat was enough to set LordSkarlet off! Before storming out of the arena LordSkarlet warned Shoe he was going to pay dearly at Spring Classic, because they would now meet inside a Steel Cage!

The ominous announcement hung over proceedings as The United were declared winners: 43 points against The Fallen's 4 points. Because the result was not in the spirit of the VS United game, The United voted Artanix the Most Not Good United fighter of the week, despite his dominant result. Even with the penalty, Artanix never the less climbs to the top of the VS United Leader Board!

Weekly Rankings Recap - 4/23/2017

The question we're all asking after Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution: is Damo really The Chosen One? The UGP Battle Royal winner is quietly having an amazing year, but VenoMark has played that game before - and won. This week's Spring Classic will burden the Undisputed Champ with his second title defense of the month. He's had to work hard for his gold, fighting through many of his old rivals. The Spring Classic should be another intriguing championship test!

The KFL Women's Championship may have ended with United: Mime's win at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but NovaStarr will give it one last hurrah thanks to her win in the Contender's Elimination Battle Royal! It was nice to see Celeste make a long awaited comeback from her Olympic injury! Of course, the biggest surprise of the match was all fourteen women turning on "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! Her ability to fight through such overwhelming opposition just proves CTR really is in a class of her own as the League's toughest woman!

Despite flying solo since their loss at UGP; "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo are back in the Duo Division Top 10! As nice as was to see them back in action, Onryo has really lit a fire in the Division 2 stakes. His recent fights with G0LD make me think there could be Div.2 gold in his future! Which leaves the door open to other emerging pairs like McDaniel & fraysol and the very hot prospect of reunited "Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging!

There's a lot to look forward to at this weekend's Spring Classic! It should be a big week!

Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution

A new dawn fades as Ultimate Grand Prix VII becomes part of history, paving the way to a new age designed by Pre-Show 92! The future and the past collide next week, but in order to get to the post-UGP carnival of The Spring Classic there must first be Revolution and Retribution!

There was a touch of both in the night's main event when "The Chosen One" Damo met arch-rival DECEPTION in a #1 Contender's match! Their 2017 series began with a post-Grand Slam Launch grudge match at Pre-Show 88: The Long Hard Road. The Hitman won that one, but Damo secured the edge with wins at Supercard 89 and Pre-Show 90! He lived up to his guarantee at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, winning the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal. With momentum at his back; Damo proved he's ready for the big time with another convincing win at Pre-Show 92! Is 2017 the next "Year of the Damo"? The 2017 Spring Classic pits him against another old rival when he meets UGP Undisputed Champion VenoMark -- Sunday, April 30th!

NovaStarr will be heading to The Spring Classic for another big title match when she takes on United: Mime for the KFL Championship! Her opportunity was earned in an intriguing and much publicized 15-Woman Elimination Battle Royal! "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile was responsible for starting the exclusive KFL Women's revolution back in February, and was expected to take out the final all-women's contender bout. Instead, CTR was targeted as all fourteen women turned on their self-appointed Guardian! Tired of being beaten and spoken for, the ladies did their best to wear down The Guardian, but once again found her a dominant figure! CTR endured multiple instances of double-teaming to begin eliminating fighters left and right! Cherri & LadyRaiden dug their heels in to slow CTR's devastating charge with an impromptu alliance, but Cherri succumbed to CTR at the halfway point. Where once she came to the aid of jess, CTR was now her eliminator!

lita83 was an odd-woman out in the Final 4, quickly succumbing to CaTigeReptile's focus! Celeste had made her surprise return having been out since being injured last year! She was able to hold on for a while as The Guardian's attentions were divided, but soon gave out leaving an epic one-on-one brawl to the finish between CTR and NovaStarr! NovaStarr had made her presence felt throughout the match, wearing CTR down when she could. She endured titanic strikes from The Guardian to keep chipping back with her own. After a non-stop 13 minute brawl, NovaStarr finally scored her first elimination of the match to pick-up a massive upset victory! Now she can finally leave the contender's periphery to get her shot at the KFL Championship at next week's Spring Classic!

NovaStarr's win wasn't the only upset of the night. maxilos was a one-man "Greek Revolution" coming to avenge the UGP dream of he and his "Greek Crisis" partner proXade! It was ended at Tower of Power XVIII, when a newly reunited Sekktor & hydraslash took proXade out after a brutal night of fighting. The odds were against him, but the curious arena favourite dug deep to bring Sekktor down into the muck. A hard fought victory in the name of The Greek Crisis!

In the Duo Division: McDaniel & fraysol defeated Grand Prix rivals Liam & nif to set up an interesting encounter for the Spring Classic with Politics & Menas! Having spent the last few weeks fighting solo; "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo reconvened to compare notes and deal with BMK-hostile team-up of GreenLantern & AlexanderLuthorJr! Nobody knew what to think when The Invasion first fought amongst themselves, but at Pre-Show 92; WilliamRegal & TripleH completed the task of kicking Jericho & Zengeance out of the club!

With two big Championship bouts now confirmed - it's sure to be another intriguing year at The Spring Classic! Flash back to Spring Classic 2016 and stay tuned throughout the week for more card updates! Then be here Sunday, April 30th for all the results as the next phase of competition begins!

RSI: Statix Summons Bishop To Spring Classic

Two nights, two seemingly unrelated attacks...

AlbertBeefcake and Statix both went to last night's Friday Night Fights to confront Ghrimm over unprovoked interruptions on April 7th and April 14th. They had been looking for DArqueBishop and Shen_DuHBK on their respective nights. What Albo and Statix soon realized was that they're connected to the same mystery: The Case of The Italian Bishop.

It began when Albert first discovered the mysterious Bishop chess piece when he defeated "Italian Cyclone" Shen_DuHBK at Ultimate Grand Prix VII. It turns out Statix was watching that match, and was reminded of an event from many years in his past.

In the final days of ICWW, Statix was converted to become an Agent of a conspiring force known as The Mystery CEO. The delivery of a Black King was used to signify Statix' apparent shift in loyalty. The machinations of The Mystery CEO brought about an abrupt end to ICWW, but it was revealed many years later that DaemonX was the man behind the machinations! A fact that came to a head in a massive match at the 10th Anniversary event: Dead Or Alive V!

By defeating Ghrimm & MattHardy this week, and discovering their possession of pawns, a tie to The Invasion has been firmly established. This could point once again to a grand plan hatched by DaemonX, but as he relinquished management of The Invasion to DArqueBishop in March, Statix has booked himself the one-on-one he wanted from the start!

Where there's one bishop - there's always another! Shen_DuHBK has seemingly left the board. Is DArqueBishop the other side of this equation -- or the Kingpin directing a grander conspiracy? The investigation continues Sunday, April 30th at Supercard 92: The Spring Classic!

Supercard 92: Spring Classic (April 30th, 2017):
- [To Be Determined] versus VenoMark (c) [Undisputed Championship]

Friday Night Fights (April 21, 2017)

Friday Night Fights was pregnant with expectation as Genku arrived with guarantees of a match from officials, and the women of the league continued their preparations for the KFL Contender's Elimination Battle Royal to take place this weekend at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution!

Genku has been railing hard against League Officials, claiming he'd been sidelined by bad booking. An announcement earlier in the week guaranteed he'd find a match on Friday Night Fights, but what he found waiting was a bit bigger than he could chew! In criticizing the past few weeks of FNF, Genku implied newly reunited "Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging weren't a draw. That meant they were more than pleased to give Genku his match in a 2-on-1 handicap battle that left Genku decimated! Karma, in the eyes of Violent`J, who just issued a challenge to Genku!

Shizuma, Kiara85 and Kairyu followed the week's earlier winners in building moment for the 15-Woman Contender's match. Kiara85 in particular stood out with a devastating +3 impact against old Agaper favourite Angelia! All six women are expected to participate in the match to determine who will challenge United: Mime for the KFL Championship at next week's Spring Classic! The bout will also feature former champion CaTigeReptile, whose previous reign began the controversial KFL Women's revolution that technically ended at Ultimate Grand Prix VII.

Fallout from UGP was still in the air when Coltess took on Battle Royal eliminator SubScorpTile. The pair began the match fighting as #1 and #2, leading Coltess to insert himself into last week's grudge bout between SST and Loopster! Loopster dealt with his own UGP Battle Royal fallout this week when DeathScepter came looking for a fight. In one-on-one conditions, SubScorpTile had no trouble fending off Coltess. Loopster beat DeathScepter in a much closer bout.

It was a reversal of fortunes for G0LD in the night's semi main when he challenged "Mad Dog" Onryo to a rematch of their previous encounter. Onryo struggled to repeat his dominant performance last week. G0LD was more than ready to capitalize on his weakness, executing a hard +4 impact!

Statix and AlbertBeefcake converged on Friday Night Fights after they both had experiences with unprovoked attacks from Ghrimm. The incidents occurred on April 7th and April 14th, when Statix and Albo were looking for DArqueBishop and Shen_DuHBK, respectively. They were both in the arena to call out Ghrimm, and got MattHardy in a 2-for-1 deal that ended in a decisive Duo defeat for The Invasion. From the two defeat fighters they were able to produce chess pieces: a pawn each.

The discovery confirms Statix and AlbertBeefcake are both looking in to The Case of the Italian Bishop, and clearly connects Ghrimm, MattHardy and quite possibly The Invasion to something more clandestine than previously known.

Friday Night Fights (April 21, 2017):
10. "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging d. Genku [+3]
9. G0LD d. "Mad Dog" Onryo [+4]

Violent`J Blames Genku for UGP Loss

Genku will return to action during tomorrow's Friday Night Fights after complaints of "sidelining", but it's another appearance during the weekly program that's fuelling a new challenge that will await at this year's Spring Classic!

Hall of Famer Violent`J went to Ultimate Grand Prix VII to continue the glorification of his reign as one-half of the record breaking Duo Division Championship pair: Team Xtreme. Instead of adding another UGP victory to their unrivalled 476 days as champions -- their second reign was cut short!

Less than two weeks prior to UGP; Violent`J had found himself the target of a highly charged attack during the March 24th edition of Friday Night Fights. It was the final piece in Genku's pursuit of the mastermind behind a smear campaign Violent`J himself initiated - a pawn in Hokey's wicked plan. It was this attack by Genku, VJ claims, that set about a course of events that cost him the Duo Division title at Ultimate Grand Prix!

Violent`J complimented officials on the excellency of their booking, and thanked them for the high-profile UGP opportunity he was granted. He said next time a Hall of Famer is on his way to UGP, Genku should go after a Division 2 fighter instead of "The Great Y2Juggalo" who was treated like "useless Ghrimm".

Despite Genku being found the legitimate winner in the end: Violent`J accused him of ruining The Invasion Election, calling officials' indulgence of Genku's candidacy a "failure". He also singled out Mick, calling him a "great man", and his attempts to improve upon Worlds Collide "visionary".

Violent`J's words may've inspired a comic sense of deja vu, but their meaning was deadly serious. An accomplished combatant in his own right: Violent`J is a former Undisputed Champion, and ICWW International Champion, and will be all business when he takes on Genku in a Spring Classic grudge match!

That makes the third Hall of Famer scheduled to attend the annual post-UGP carnival event! The 2017 Spring Classic will also feature new Duo Division Champions Ratt & NightHawk defending against the classic combination of "New Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell! All this and much more -- Sunday, April 30th!

Supercard 92: Spring Classic (April 30th, 2017):
- [To Be Determined] versus VenoMark (c) [Undisputed Championship]
- "The Invasion" CCShadow & Scott-Howell versus Ratt & NightHawk (c) [Duo Division Championship]

- Poasty versus MKMaster (c) [Division 2 Championship]

FNF: Genku In Action This Week

The last time Genku competed, he lost to Hokey in a highly anticipated Ultimate Grand Prix VII farewell for the newest Hall of Famer. Though inactive since; Genku has been vocal about his defeat -- directing copious blame toward League Officials. Most recently, he claimed they've been sidelining him, forcing "the best thing you got going for you" to sit out weekly events.

Officials have remained mostly silent throughout Genku's tirades and proclamations, which date back to late last year, when he contested The Invasion Election. That changed today, however, with an announcement for this week's Friday Night Fights!

A representative for the League offered assurances that Genku has not been specifically sidelined, but acknowledged that he also hasn't been scheduled to appear this week. He clarified that The League has merely been exploring the various new post-UGP opportunities, allowing various star competitors a chance to rest before next Sunday's unique epilogue: The Spring Classic.

Now that Genku has raised his concerns, officials are making a special effort to find a way to include him in this week's Friday Night Fights. As long as Genku makes his way to The Great Arena this week on April 21st -- he will get his match!

LordSkarlet Double Dares The United

Hostilities between The Fallen and The United first began during the night after Tower of Power XVIII. The March 6th edition of the Monday Night Games introduced a new incarnation of The Fallen comprised of "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet, hydraslash, Sekktor & legoslayer10.

The Fallen have struggled to exert their dominance on Monday Nights ever since, but LordSkarlet warns that's about to change! In his first statement since Ultimate Grand Prix VII: The Fallen leader cited his dominant Steel Cage victory over King Ken, and Sekktor's Final 4 appearance in the UGP Battle Royal, as evidence of their rise and the dawning of a Red Reign!

The American Nightmare revealed plans to change the configuration of The Fallen one more time - introducing a fifth member to begin the Red Reign in a 5-on-5 Survival Sequence at Supercard 92: The Spring Classic!

Not only that: LordSkarlet said he knew The United would be itching to find out who their fifth member will be. So he's going to give them a preview during next week's Monday Night Games when he brings The Fallen to play the next edition of VS United!

That's two big team contests taking place next week! First it's VS United on Monday, April 24th! Then the two teams will face-off in 5-on-5 elimination at The Spring Classic - Sunday, April 30th!

PLUS: This weekend at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retrbution - The Fallen's Sekktor will answer the bitter grudge of one-man "Greek Revolution" maxilos! Sunday - April 23rd! Be here!

Supercard 92: Spring Classic (April 30th, 2017):

Monday Night Games (April 17, 2017)

The Monday Night Games returned to their original schedule after last week's successful debut of VS United! A team of five KFL Women were invited to compete in the inaugural contest, and some of them were back to prepare themselves for the 15-Woman KFL #1 Contender's Elimination Battle Royal announced to take place this weekend at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution!

kororaa and Dolce were the big winners, defeating their respective opponents in convincing fashion! The +2 impact helped kororaa in particular recover momentum after suffering a devastating -9 defeat during VS United! The blow does no favours to jess' hopes, however. Her winning ways were over with a second straight defeat. All four women are expected to compete in the 15-fighter Contender's match, where the winner will earn a shot at Mime's KFL Championship at The Spring Classic!

In the night's main event it became apparent that just because a team of five wasn't invited to play -- it didn't mean The United would go unchallenged! The Fallen were back to continue sniping at The United's control over Mondays!

Sekktor & hydraslash had scored an impressive UGP Battle Royal Qualifying win against Artanix & Murdoink two weeks ago, and expected to claim another decisive victory when Artanix teamed with league newcomer: zelse. Instead, they found themselves floundering as the Duo combat expert helped lift zelse to another impressive victory! It was wins all around for The United. Murdoink also successfully fended off the challenge of legoslayer10 in one of the many +2 impact wins of the night!

It was another +2 damage dealt when AlexanderLuthorJr came to challenge Baraka_MK! BMK has been fighting solo since suffering a disappointing Duo Division loss with his New Generation partner "Mad Dog" Onryo at Ultimate Grand Prix VII. He's been honing his skills with defeats of GreenLantern the last two weeks, and executed another comprehensive win against his newest aggressor!

Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution is this weekend - Sunday, April 23rd! The fate of the KFL Championship will be decided when 15 of the toughest women in the league fight until there's only one #1 contender! PLUS: Fallen fighter Sekktor will answer the challenge of maxilos for his past misdeeds! All this and much more! Don't miss all the results in six days!

Monday Night Games: Week 12 (April 17, 2017):
8. "The United" Artanix & zelse d. "The Fallen" Sekktor & hydraslash [+2]
7. United: Murdoink d. legoslayer10 [+2]
6. Baraka_MK d. AlexanderLuthorJr [+2]
5. kororaa d. jess [+2]

Weekly Rankings Recap - 4/16/2017

Nice to see the Monday Night Games living up to their spirit of fun with this week's inaugural VS United format. The United really are one of the most dominant groups we've ever seen in The Great Arena and it's great to see them welcome challengers in a new and interesting way!

Of course, the biggest story coming out of the VS United special was the one that got away: "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! CTR will be overwhelming favourite to win this weekend's 15-Woman KFL #1 Contenders Battle Royal at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution, but her victory over UGP7 main event challenger United: The_Purple_Bunny once again proves she's ready to graduate to the big challenge of the Undisputed Championship!

We now know Pre-Show 92 will decide who gets the honor of challenging VenoMark at this year's Spring Classic! The champ knows both his prospective challengers -- "Chosen One" Damo and "Hitman" DECEPTION -- very well. It'll be interesting to see if familiarity can give him an edge in his second title defense of the month!

Speaking of familiarity: how about "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging? They've slipped right back into the old groove and should be taking the Duo Division by storm any minute now! Very interested to see how far this reunion can take them!

"Mad Dog" Onryo is also making an interesting impact on the Friday Night Fights. This week's win against G0LD showed he isn't messing around as a solo competitor! The split between he and Baraka_MK was supposed to be about honing their arsenal to improve as a team, but with wins like this, Onryo might just make his next title reign an individual accolade!

Invasion Target Pacific Connection

At Ultimate Grand Prix VII they were the frontline defense for The New Invasion in their Survival Sequence struggle with Team Oozaru. Now the enforcer pairing of Jason_Voorhees & edge are the duo targeting the newly reunited Pacific Connection!

Jason_Voorhees was the fighter who shut down Oozaru early in 5-on-5 team battle for Banging's soul, and he'll attempt to do it again in another exciting Duo Division contest coming to The Spring Classic!

With Jason_Voorhees & edge occupying the #2 rank on The League Top 10, this could be more than a mere battle for pride! With Oozaru & Banging tearing up the division on Friday Night Fights, this bout has Championship implications written all over it!

Another reason you won't want to miss all the action in two weeks when the Spring Classic returns for another post-UGP carnival -- Sunday, April 30th!

Genku Blames Officials for Sidelining

A pattern appears to be emerging as Genku once again lashes out at officials. This time he's levelling criticism towards booking that he believes is keeping him out of the action.

The sometimes obtuse former Undisputed Champion didn't mince words about the post-UGP return of regular weekly programming. Responding to his absence from Friday Night Fights, he referred to himself as "the best thing you got going for you", and equated booking staff to excrement for "forcing him" to sit on the sidelines.

Genku was similarly quick to blame officials for booking his loss to Hall of Famer Hokey in a highly publicized grudge match at Ultimate Grand Prix VII. In particular, he singled out prominent official Mick. The League is yet to offer any kind of response.

Friday Night Fights (April 14, 2017)

The Pacific Connection reunion tour continued on another Friday Night Fights headlined by Duo Division action! The legendary pairing found themselves under attack from old foes as The New Invasion tangled with Ultimate Grand Prix VII rivals both old -- and new!

WilliamRegal & TripleH picked up a solid win against their own teammates last week, but any confidence they took from that quickly dissipated against the powerhouse pairing of Oozaru & Banging! The legendary duo once again dominated their opponents, executing a +3 impact to secure a comprehensive win in the night's main event!

With a Duo win at their backs last week: SubScorpTile and Methuselah6463 went solo to pursue their UGP Battle Royal grudge a step further. For Methuselah6463, the result was a satisfying solo win against Jauger. SST wasn't so lucky, failing to count on the frustrations of the fighter who started the Battle Royal with him, and was the #1 elimination: Coltess! While Coltess tried to get his hands on SubScorpTile - Loopster was able to take out the weaker of the two. With momentum on his side, Loopster turned the tables on the aggressor - narrowly defeating SST in the three-way decider!

Delayed gratification may've hurt Coltess' chances. He was forced to wait for payback, tangling with "Mad Dog" Onryo during last Friday's fights. Onryo has followed the post-UGP lead of his New Generation tag team partner Baraka_MK, seeking to further develop his solo chops. The competition stepped up significantly as he took on hot prospect G0LD in an intriguing match-up. G0LD was one of the Final 3 competitors in the UGP Battle Royal, but he was unable to suppress Onryo's fiery offensive! An impressive victory!

AlbertBeefcake was unimpressed when he came to Friday Night Fights to call-out Shen_DuHBK. He'd hoped to question his UGP opponent further in relation to The Case of The Italian Bishop -- but instead he found himself confronted by Ghrimm! The seemingly unprovoked fighter was dealt with in comprehensive fashion. Escaping with only a +1 impact, Ghrimm fled the arena post match, avoiding further questioning. The scene was reminiscent of Ghrimm's attack on Statix, last week.

Greek Revolution at Pre-Show 92

Throughout 2016: maxilos became an unlikely stalwart of competition in The Great Arena as one-half of The Greek Crisis. The unique pairing literally took on the world - challenging the status quo as they defeated nationally bound team-ups, and upset some of the top ranking Duos in the division!

At Supercard 90: Tower Of Power XVIII; The Greek Crisis were poised for greater recognition as they received the honor of the #8 contender's rung. It should've been their prelude to a return to Ultimate Grand Prix VII -- but the pairing never even contested the Championship Tower!

A surprise reorganization of The Fallen pitted newly reunited pairing of Sekktor & hydraslash against The Greek Crisis in the penultimate round of The Challenger 7. The resulting pre-Tower defeat was enough to break proXade -- immediately sending him to the Injured List!

Forced to fly solo; maxilos was able to find his way into the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal -- but as if to add insult to injury: Sekktor eliminated him from the 30-fighter match!

maxilos has always been fighting with a chip on his shoulder - and now he's ready to lead a one-man "Greek Revolution" against Sekktor! Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution will be the scene for The Fallen fighter to face his foe in furious fisticuffs! A deadly grudge bout - Sunday, April 23rd!

Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution (April 23rd, 2017):
- "The Chosen One" Damo versus "The Hitman" DECEPTION [#1 Contender]
- 15-Woman Elimination Battle Royal feat. CaTigeReptile [KFL #1 Contender]

RSI: The Case of The Italian Bishop

At Ultimate Grand Prix VII; appointed investigator AlbertBeefcake officially closed the case of The Invasion Election when he brought Shen_DuHBK to justice for filing a false report of vote tampering.

Albo thought the match would be the end, but when he defeated "The Italian Cyclone" he discovered something he didn't expect to find: a lone chess piece.

The enigmatic trinket sparked curiosity at UGP, but was lost amidst the action. AlbertBeefcake has always had a nose for a clue, and his instincts are telling him its time to once again re-open the files of "Rar Scene Investigation" for The Case of The Italian Bishop.

The Big Beefer will open his new inquiries during this week's Friday Night Fights when he comes looking for Shen_DuHBK once again. Will the unexpected chess enthusiast reveal new layers to the Machiavellian plot hatched by Hokey, or obscure the truth with another lie? Find out this week - Friday, April 14th!

Pre-Show 92 Main Event #1 Contender Match

The stakes at Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution just got a whole lot higher with the official announcement of a #1 Contenders Match to determine who will challenge for the Undisputed Championship at The Spring Classic!

After strong wins at Ultimate Grand Prix VII; officials have been impressed with UGP Battle Royal winner "The Chosen One" Damo and Hall of Fame giant-killer "The Hitman" DECEPTION! A contender's clash was deemed the only fair way to decide who will get the next opportunity!

The potential challengers are well known to each other: Damo eliminated DECEPTION from Round 3 of the 2017 Grand Slam Launch, leading to a rematch win for The Hitman at Pre-Show 88: The Long Hard Road. They had contact during the 40-fighter 2017 Battle Royale match, before Damo scored handy wins at Supercard 89: Breaking Point and Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures!

Will The Hitman find his target at Pre-Show 92, or is Damo really The Chosen One?

An Undisputed Championship match awaits the winner at The Spring Classic! VenoMark will fight tooth and nail to ensure neither of his old rivals spoils a hard fought reign. An exciting carnival-like epilogue to the Season of UGP!

Monday Night Games: VS United (April 10, 2017)

A very special edition of the Monday Night Games introduced the league to VS United: A unique contest format inviting a team of special guests to challenge The United in friendly competition!

Competing for Team KFL Women would be: "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile, jess, Shizuma, Kiara85 & kororaa. All five competed for the KFL Women's Championship in February and March, and will be part of the 15-Woman KFL Contender's Elimination Battle Royal announced for Pre-Show 92: Revolution & Retribution - Sunday, April 23rd!

Competing for The United would be: Shoe, Artanix, The_Purple_Bunny, Murdoink & zelse! This truly formidable force accounts for 6x Undisputed Championships, 8x Duo Division Championships, 5x KFL Championships, and 5x Division 2 Championships between them! Supreme skill!

kororaa took the first challenge, taking on Duo Division expert Artanix in the first contest. The result was a comprehensive one in favour of The United. Artanix executed a hard hitting +9 impact to set the bar very high for the home team!

Kiara85 tried her luck next, challenging fellow 2016 Olympian Murdoink to an intriguing battle. Both are well known names in The Great Arena, but Murdoink has no doubt spent more time actively competing. That experience gave him the slight edge in an interesting, competitive encounter.

jess may've suffered a tandem loss last week, but she had the confidence of three solo wins from Tournament 78, March 20th, and March 27th when choosing her opponent: zelse. The inexperienced new member of The United was obvious favourite to be the No Good United of the first week, but he managed to wrestle a narrow victory away from his rival! An impressive win for the newcomer!

Shizuma had the unenviable choice of the final two United fighters and found herself going up against team leader Shoe. The resulting blowout was the fourth comprehensive win for The United as Shoe fought slightly harder than his partner Artanix to earn another +9 impact!

The final battle set up an exciting clash between KFL Women's captain CaTigeReptile and one of the most accomplished fighters in history: The_Purple_Bunny! It was the first fight for TPB since he suffered a shock defeat in the main event of Ultimate Grand Prix VII. The team result was already decided, but CTR and TPB were both fighting for ideas bigger than themselves. In the end, it was CaTigeReptile's dedication to the revolution of a Women's Division that overwhelmed TPB's desire to win his 7th Undisputed Championship in 2017! A stunning main event victory!

Despite CTR's exciting performance, it wasn't enough! With an overwhelming final score of 33 points against 3 points the winning team was The United! And although he arguably had the toughest competition, it was determined the inaugural No Good United was The_Purple_Bunny!
