Supercard 95: Tower of Power XIX

The Tower of Power is a tradition almost as old as The Great Arena itself. It was conceived as the ultimate opportunity for fighters to prove their worthiness through their own grit and determination. When the first Tower of Power was constructed at Supercard 5 - it did just that! For the first time in his career, legendary Hall of Fame fighter Ratt became Undisputed Champion!

It's been more than a year since the ultimate prize was on offer at the summit of Tower of Power. For three consecutive iterations, "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J ruled the structure with joined iron fists. The last time any one man scaled its heights alone - ElJobber reigned supreme at Supercard 75!

ElJobber is one again the man standing atop The Tower of Power. There, he will await any individual who proves they have what it takes to challenge for the Undisputed Championship! Could one of The Challenger 7 upset the world - or is there another Chosen One among the ranks?

The Tower of Power:
23. "The Chosen One" Damo (#1) defeated ElJobber (c) in a competitive contest! [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
There was an air of respect when ElJobber entered The Great Arena to face the last man standing at Tower of Power XIX. When they fought in January to decide the winner of the 2017 Grand Slam Launch, ElJobber won an incredibly competitive final! When he returned at Supercard 94: Red Reign, it was another epic battle for Damo's Undisputed Championship! Like VenoMark before him; ElJobber had had the best of self-professed "Chosen One", but he'd learned to respect just how strong Damo has become. The final battle of Tower Power XIX was destined to be another epic encounter and it did not disappoint! Damo came at his second fight of the night with absolutely everything he had! ElJobber was prepared, but for every answer he devised - Damo countered with a new attack! Eventually the result could not be denied. Damo is once again the Undisputed Champion!

Damo entered Tower of Power XIX as the #1 contender, and with his title win he confirms his place as #1 seed in the 2017 Mid-Year Grand Slam! ElJobber will be situated at the opposite end of the 128-fighter bracket, entering as the #2 seed in the final fight of Day 2. Round 1 of the tournament begins tomorrow while regular weekly program takes a week hiatus! Be here for every result!

22. "The Chosen One" Damo (#1) defeated VenoMark (#5) in a destructive win! [+14]
VenoMark said he'd failed to take "The Chosen One" Damo seriously when he came to challenge for the Undisputed Championship at Spring Classic 2017. When they went at it again at Supercard 93: The Chosen -- Damo proved to the world he's the real deal! Damo's time at the top was narrowly ended at Supercard 94, but as the #1 fighter he had the final say on the ultimate opportunity to claim an Undisputed Championship opportunity! VenoMark had worked hard to beat four of the best fighter in the league, but when he reached his nemesis, there appeared to be nothing left! The Chosen One continued his eerie dominance over VenoMark, executing a devastating +14 impact to advance to the final battle of Tower of Power XIX!

21. VenoMark (#5) defeated "Red Nightmare" LordSkarlet (#2) in convincing fashion! [+1]
The Great Arena was in stunned awe to see "Red Nightmare" LordSkarlet make his entrance as the #2 fighter at Tower XIX! Two weeks prior at Supercard 94: Red Reign; he emerged from a Steel Cage fight suffering worse damage than his opponent! It was the culmination of a heavy schedule of feuding with The United that also cost him MAX Damage at Supercard 93, and another brutal Steel Cage fight before that, at The Spring Classic! All wisdom would've led LordSkarlet to take the week off, but the opportunity to climb to his first Undisputed Championship was too much of a lure! He did his best to put together a challenge against old rival VenoMark, but every Tower of Power seems to produce one fighter whose determination is too great to refuse! At Tower XIX that fighter was VenoMark!

20. VenoMark (#5) defeated United: The_Purple_Bunny (#3) in a comprehensive victory! [+8]
With the top of The Tower nearly in sight; it was to be an Ultimate Grand Prix main event rematch! The_Purple_Bunny was pursuing the goal of winning his 7th Undisputed Championship at UGP7, but VenoMark's star-making performance ensured the 2017 Battle Royale winner was delayed! Right when it seemed payback was within his grasp - TPB's strength capitulated at the worst possible time! His inconsistent performances were the source of tensions at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense, where his United teammate Mimik disrupted preparations for Tower XIX with a solid victory. VenoMark had a cakewalk as he dominated his UGP rival to score an unexpectedly anti-climactic elimination!

19. VenoMark (#5) defeated United: Mimik (#4) [+1]
Great Arena legend Mimik has been back to a regular schedule in 2017, keeping himself at the top of the ranks with competitive victories against his own United teammates! Tensions between he and The_Purple_Bunny escalated into a match at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense. It wasn't enough to put the Hall of Famer higher on The Tower, but it did secure him #4 spot! Unfortunately, Mimik's path intersected with one of the most motivated competitors in the league! VenoMark summoned another peak performance to become the first Tower fighter to scale two rungs!

18. VenoMark (#5) defeated "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) [+1]
Just as CaTigeReptile thought she was finally getting her championship goal back on track, the game changed with an early entrance from VenoMark! His UGP title defense seems so long ago, but VM was still Undisputed Champion as recently as The Spring Classic! His rematch loss at Supercard 93: The Chosen had clearly pushed VenoMark down the contention ranks -- but the opportunity to climb back to the top is what Tower of Power is all about! CTR wasn't about to go down without a fight, but VenoMark brought the bluster with everything he has! He may've under estimated the champ in earlier months, but he was leaving nothing to chance in his first Tower match!

17. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) defeated "The Hitman" DECEPTION (#7) in convincing fashion! [+1]
It was an uncanny case of role reversal when "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile arrived to take on the #7 contender! She was the last line of defense earlier in the night when Violent`J attempted to topple The Tower - and she was every bit the wall to DECEPTION as he had been to TonyTheTiger! The convincing win put CTR back on the path toward the Undisputed Championship, which seemed to be shortening until a devastating defeat at Supercard 94!

16. "The Hitman" DECEPTION (#7) defeated "The Predator" TonyTheTiger (#8) in convincing fashion! [+1]
The Hitman came in hot as he set his sights firmly on the charging Predator! An unexpected rivalry between DECEPTION and TonyTheTiger broke out just a fortnight ago in matches at Pre-Show 94: Blood Gold and Supercard 94: Red Reign. TTT found himself caught in a firestorm as DECEPTION unleashed the kind of attack that took him to the top of Tower of Power XV! The Predator did his best to mount a defense, but it was all DECEPTION as the #7 kept the dominoes falling!

15. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger (#8) defeated Statix (#10) in a total destruction! [+11]
"The Predator" TonyTheTiger cemented his place at the #8 rank when he defeated Genku during the June 9th edition of Friday Night Fights. A hard fought rematch loss at Pre-Show 95 didn't dull the arena's apex predator in the slightest! It was fangs out as he took complete advantage of the obvious signs of wear and tear getting the better of Statix! In his ninth match of the night, Statix had nothing left -- suffering a brutal +11 destruction!

14. Statix (#10) defeated United: Mime (c) (#9) in a competitive contest! [+1]
As The Tower turned toward inward for the elimination phase; Statix and Mime both showed signs of their previous matches taking a toll! Having already faced every Challenger 7 competitor, Statix was already achieving a Herculean feat -- especially considering the attack he suffered prior to Supercard 94: Red Reign! In an incredibly competitive contest, it was Statix who somehow bounced back to claim his fifth victory of the night! A shocking result for the reigning KFL Champion!

The Challenger 7:
13. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) defeated Violent`J in convincing fashion! [+2]
12. Violent`J defeated "The Hitman" DECEPTION (#7) in a close fought match! [+1]
11. Violent`J defeated "The Predator" TonyTheTiger (#8) in a convincing win. [+1]
10. Violent`J defeated United: Mime (c) (#9) in a solid win. [+1]
9. Violent`J defeated Statix (#10) in a solid win. [+1]
Officials promised the return of a Hall of Fame legend, and The Challenger 7 turned out to be a countdown for the return of the "Y2Juggalo": Violent`J! VJ has already been announced as one of the legends competing in this year's Mid-Year Grand Slam, and he got his preparations under way with an explosive attack on the Tower! As one-half of Team Xtreme, VJ won the last three Tower of Power events! His exciting solo run came to a much earlier end as the #6 rung "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile shut him down in convincing fashion. An exciting finish to The Challenger 7!

8. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger (#8) defeated Genku [+1]
7. Genku defeated United: Mime (c) (#9) in a competitive clash. [+1]
6. Genku defeated Statix (#10) in a comprehensive victory! [+9]
When Genku was announced as a guaranteed entrant into The Challenger 7, he immediately saw it as a deliberate insult by booking officials. He claimed superiority over all Tower fighters, but was soon embarrassed when TonyTheTiger answered his challenge during the June 9th Friday Night Fights with brutal results. Genku scrambled to settle the score at Pre-Show 95, but it was The Predator who had the pleasure of eliminating Genku at the eighth rung! Though a far cry from his boastful claims, Genku's challenge did deliver Statix his first punishing defeat of the night. He also managed a solid win against reigning KFL Champions - United: Mime.

5. Statix (#10) defeated Oozaru in a comprehensive victory. [+3]
With the 15th Anniversary of ICWW looming in August, there was a special energy when Pre-Show 95 qualifier Oozaru stepped up to face old friend Statix! It was Statix who struck the winning blow at Ultimate Grand Prix VII in the fight for Banging's soul, reuniting the original Pacific Connection who've lit up the Duo Division in recent months! The two former ICWW International Champions had a lot of history between them, but their competitive encounter at Tower of Power XIX proved disappointingly brief. Oozaru dominated his Pre-Show qualifier, but was short on intensity as Statix secured his fifth consecutive shut-out of the night! A hard-hitting +3 result, but Oozaru would have it no other way!

4. Statix (#10) defeated DArqueBishop in a comprehensive win. [+3]
Ousted as The Invasion's managerial "Black Bishop" by Genku's May 26th takeover: DArqueBishop and Statix are two fighters who share a common enemy. Under other circumstances they may have fought together, but at Tower of Power XIX DAB was granted automatic qualification to fight for himself as part of The Challenger 7! Like the other fighters before him, DAB fell in a clean result.

3. Statix (#10) defeated Banging in a convincing victory. [+1]
As one-half of The Pacific Connection; Banging has been electrifying he league with his challenges against the Duo Division Champions! At Pre-Show 95, he earned the right to enter The Challenger 7, reminding everyone of his considerable solo chops. Awaiting at the tenth rung was one-time Pacific Connector and an ally in the UGP fight for Banging's soul: Statix! The ICWW alum put on a good competitive contest, but in the end it was another decisive result in favour of Statix!

2. Statix (#10) defeated MKMaster in a comprehensive win. [+3]
There was no doubt when MKMaster defeated "Mad Dog" Onryo to qualify for The Challenger 7 at Pre-Show 95. A rivalry between the pair was established at Supercard 93 over Division 2 contention, but the story has grown as MKM forged a partnership with Onryo's New Gen partner: Baraka_MK! BMK & MKM couldn't find greater success against New Gen rivals at Supercard 94, and MKMaster couldn't break The Tower of Power alone, either. Statix sent him packing with a hard hitting +3!

1. Statix (#10) defeated NovaStarr in a solid win. [+1]
An emerging rivalry with 2017 Fighter For Europe, Chromatose, gave NovaStarr the chance to fight her way into The Challenger 7 in qualifying at Pre-Show 95. Unfortunately, it also took something out of her. The close fought qualifier left NovaStarr spent when she came-up against the opening battle on The Tower of Power. Statix was too strong in the opening bout.

Supercard 90: Tower of Power XVIII

Since the earliest days of The Great Arena, the structure known as Tower of Power has beckoned to fringes of championship contention. It has served as a mighty erection paying homage to the gods with only the greatest contenders invited to form its body. At the top will always be perched wielders of gleaming championship gold -- the ultimate incentive for those chosen to challenge The Tower!

Through eighteen incarnations The Tower of Power has minted new contenders whose Promethean grit earned them a place among the chosen -- and crowned new champions in epic final battles. Yet, never has any one fulfilled the promise of this ultimate opportunity. Never has any one come close to conquering The Tower. That is - until now! This is Supercard 90: Tower of Power XVIII!

The Tower of Power:
54. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) d. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#1) [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
From October 2015 to December 2016: there was only one team synonymous with the Duo Division Championship! For an unrivalled 420 days, the Hall of Fame combination of "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J reigned supreme! It was their first and only reign as Duo Division Champions in The Great Arena -- it was all they needed! To date, Marz & Violent`J still only have two defeats to their name! One of those defeats came out of the blue three months ago at Supercard 87: End Of Days -- and crowned Shoe & Artanix the first new champions in 14 months!

In 2017, Violent`J was waylaid -- caught up in the drama of a disintegrating Invasion, and his claims Genku won The Invasion Election by fraudulent means. At Supercard 89: Breaking Point, Team Xtreme finally set their focus on a championship rematch. In a competitive contest, the Hall of Fame pairing resumed their cumulative reign - reclaiming the Duo Division gold! A victory that set them up to carry the title into Ultimate Grand Prix VII -- provided they could survive Tower of Power!

In a rarity for the Tower of Power, the challengers weren't the only team to have fought earlier in the night! Team Xtreme's history-making defense against The Challenger 7 had tested them prematurely, and only added to the sense anything could happen when they faced The United! The two teams did not disappoint -- colliding at a super heavyweight standard rarely seen! Against any other combo The United would've been crowned champs, but Marz & Violent`J dug deep to deliver a scintillating title defense! Things between the two teams almost certainly aren't over, but will their next meeting come at Ultimate Grand Prix VII? Stay tuned for updates as we countdown to the biggest event on The Great Arena celandar -- Sunday, April 2nd!

53. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#1) d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#2) [+1]
It was all just a little bit of history repeating for The New Generation and The United at Supercard 90! The two teams last met at Tower of Power XVII, where The United comfortably advanced from the #2 spot over their #3 opponents. Baraka_MK & Onryo managed to mitigate the damage, but they still struggled to match the expert excellence of former Champions: Shoe & Artanix! A tough result for the hopeful New Generation to swallow, but the perfect setup for a grudge match finish!

52. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#2) d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+2]
Individually Onryo is known as a "Mad Dog", but together with Baraka_MK he suddenly became an underdog! A wave of momentum was building behind The Invasion as they stalked their way from the bottom of The Tower. They were riding their sixth consecutive win, improving on the five losses during The Challenger 7 to suddenly become championship favourites in the eyes of everyone watching! The atmosphere was electric, but seasoned Great Arena veterans The New Generation kept cool under the pressure. The Invasion were struggling to muster their best, but BMK & Onryo were amped up and ready to make up for their own earlier defeats. With devastating efficiency they ended the spectacular run of Jason_Voorhees & edge with a record of 7-6!

51. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#3) [+1]
Few teams came into UGP Season with the momentum of Jammer2Omega & Porygonix! They started the year right, christened as one of the favourite teams of 2017 with a win at New Year's Resolution. At Battle Royale they came up short against benchmark rivals The New Generation, but with Tower of Power XVII eliminators CCShadow & Scott-Howell already out of the way, they seemed poised to do some damage. Only, the tidal wave of momentum at Supercard 90 was squarely behind Jason_Voorhees & edge! It was a competitive match, but The Invasion seemed to take their earlier losses to heart, powering towards the Duo Division Championship!

50. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) [+1]
Former Duo Division Champions CCShadow & Scott-Howell are usually one of the most feared combinations in the tandem ranks. They dominated at Supercard 80: Tower of Power XVI, but this time the elder statesmen were thoroughly disrespected with an effortless win by Jason_Voorhees & edge! The surprise result sent a wave of palpable anticipation through the audience. With so many historic performances in The Challenger 7, belief was now mounting behind The Invasion!

49. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. KittyKat & JoelKatz (#5) [+1]
A string of victories, including one against Jason_Voorhees & edge at Pre-Show 89: Control II, had elevated KittyKat & JoelKatz to the #2 rank within the Duo Division! There was excitement around their contention prospects, but it evaporated with a fifth consecutive loss for the night. They looked out of their depth as The Invasion marched to another comprehensive conquest. Some critics may attribute the loss of focis to KittyKat's February 24th KFL Championship match.

48. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. Politics & Menas (#6) [+1]
Politics & Menas showed they had plenty of grit in the opening phase of The Challenger 7, briefly slowing the efforts of most of the teams that came against them. With The Tower turning in on itself it was the perfect opportunity for them to capitalize on their Duo Division gains, but The Invasion upped their game against the #6 team, scoring a third consecutive win.

47. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+1]
With The Greek Crisis forced out of The Tower due to proXade's earlier injury; The Invasion advanced straight to the #7 team of Mark & Leroy. If there was any concern the bye would cost them valuable momentum, it evaporated as they picked up another convincing victory.

46. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+1]
Having faced the assault of one of the most successful Challenger 7 groups in history, it was time for the #10 and #9 teams to put-up - or shut-up. Each pair had earned a win in the early stages, but it was clearly "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge who'd got the most out of facing some of the best challengers in the Duo Division. They earned a hard fought victor over The Brexiters.

The Challenger 7:
45. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#1) d. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 [+2]
44. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#2) [+2]
43. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#3) [+2]
42. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) [+1]
41. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. KittyKat & JoelKatz (#5) [+2]
40. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. Politics & Menas (#6) [+4]
39. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+2]
38. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+1]
37. LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+2]
The apparent exchange continued as "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet emerged for the final run of the Challenger 7 with former partner legoslayer10! The reunion of old friends produced another big run to the top of The Tower -- now a rung shorter thanks to the forced exit of The Greek Crisis! LS & legoslayer10 dominated the competition, comprehensively defeating every team until a worthy challenge from CCShadow & Scott-Howell slowed them down. They charged up again to run through #3 and #2 -- until the tables were turned in an utter decimation at the hands of "The United" Shoe & Artanix! A slightly less impressive 8 win streak to the top of the contender list, but never the less another incredible moment to conclude a historic Challenger 7!

36. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) d. Sekktor & hydraslash [+1]
35. Sekktor & hydraslash d. KittyKat & JoelKatz (#5) [+1]
34. Sekktor & hydraslash d. Politics & Menas (#6) [+2]
33. Sekktor & hydraslash d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+2]
32. Sekktor & hydraslash d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+1] [-1up]
31. Sekktor & hydraslash d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+1]
30. Sekktor & hydraslash d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+1]
At Pre-Show 90, Sekktor & legoslayer10 earned qualification into The Challenger 7, momentarily putting aside their quest to purify Corrupted former ally: hydraslash. They'd fought him mere days earlier, during the February 24 edition of Friday Night Fights. It came as a considerable surprise, then, that Sekktor arrived for his opportunity with hydraslash! It was clear from the opening fight that the former Duo were once again simpatico! Their apparent reunion gave fuel to another impressive run for The Challenger 7! They survived a noteworthy clash with The Invasion, before The Tower of Power produced another decidedly grim first! "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade struggled to make an impact in their 3 prior matches. Crisis struck as they faced Sekktor & hydraslash -- proXade buckling to surrender the fight with a devastating injury! Sekktor & hydraslash would fight their way to the #4 rung, before being dominated by CCShadow & Scott-Howell. They may not have reached the peak, but they had brought it one step closer to every one else.

29. Politics & Menas (#6) d. Oozaru & PaganFreak [+1]
28. Oozaru & PaganFreak d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+2]
27. Oozaru & PaganFreak d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+1]
26. Oozaru & PaganFreak d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+2]
25. Oozaru & PaganFreak d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+1]
The vintage combination of Oozaru & PaganFreak had to have mixed feelings as they watched old friend Banging achieve historic success with his tormentor. The Invasion led Oozaru to an ambush at Pre-Show 90, where he meant to fight for his former partner's soul. Focusing on The Challenger 7, he and PaganFreak launched into their own campaign - blitzing the first four rungs! Politics & Menas had been a roadblock for The Invasion, and this time they weren't to be denied! The #6 team clamped down against former ICWW Tag Team Champions, shutting down another attempt at title glory with a solid victory!

24. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) d. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
23. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#1) [+1]
22. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#2) [+1]
21. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#3) [+1]
20. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) [+1]
19. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. KittyKat & JoelKatz (#5) [+2]
18. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. Politics & Menas (#6) [+1]
17. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+1]
16. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+2]
15. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+1]
14. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+2]
With the attending crowd still reeling from a historic performance just prior: "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging stepped into the arena to do it all again! Some may not agree with DaemonX's domineering exploitation of Banging, but the tortured means of their team-up did not diminish their effectiveness. In fact, they hit even hard than Shen_DuHBK & AlbertBeefcake in the opening bouts! There wasn't even a shred of mercy for teammates Jason_Voorhees & edge! #6 Politics & Menas emerged as the first barrier to conquest -- forcing a hard fought match! #3 Jammer2Omega & Porygonix took the fight to the absolute edge as they tried to curb the challengers! The closest fight waited at #1 as "The United" Shoe & Artanix looked to again define history -- but in a near-draw it was The Invasion who eked out a win! Breaking a record set a mere ten fights earlier, DaemonX & Banging seized the opportunity that is the very foundation of Tower of Power! With the Duo Division Championship on the line, they took the battle to former allies "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J! The Hall of Famers brought their A-Game, leaving nothing to chance in the unexpected title defense! DaemonX & Banging fought hard, but the champs were just too good. A historic match regardless of result - concluding a spectacular, never before seen 10-1 Challenger 7 run! A result that proves the promise that Tower of Power can truly offer a golden opportunity to any one who takes it!

13. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#1) d. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK [+1]
12. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#2) [+1]
11. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#3) [+1]
10. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) [+1]
9. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. KittyKat & JoelKatz (#5) [+2]
8. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. Politics & Menas (#6) [+1]
7. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. Mark & Leroy (#7) [+1]
6. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+1]
5. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) [+1]
4. AlbertBeefcake & Shen_DuHBK d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+2]
Under ordinary circumstances, AlbertBeefcake would've preferred to take the Tower of Power test with his long time Super Friend: The_Hurricane. Instead he was thrown into an unlikely pairing as sworn bodyguard to Invasion Election whistleblower Shen_DuHBK. Despite the unusual tension between them, the reluctant pair found they had incredible chemistry! They powered through The Tower with unprecedented efficiency, generating increasing excitement as they endured hard fought clashes with rivals "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge and highly touted #4 CCShadow & Scott-Howell! In the blink of an eye, they had reached the #1 team -- something never achieved in the Tower of Power format! With the realization that Duo Division gold was within reach, they faced "The United" Shoe & Artanix -- only for reality to come crashing down! With a phenomenal 9 win streak behind them, they succumbed to the heavyweight firepower of a superior enemy! The United sending an ominous warning to Team Xtreme with a dominant victory! It would not be their last...

3. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) d. McDaniel & fraysol [+1]
McDaniel & fraysol were one of the breakout teams of 2016, but at Tower of Power, they weren't able to turn a qualifying victory at Pre-Show 90 into title momentum. The Brexiteers were able to muscle out a solid win in the third bout of the night. It would be their first and last as The 18th Challenger 7 group opened up The Tower in historic ways.

2. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge (#9) d. Benjamin & Mo2 [+1]
1. Benjamin & Mo2 d. "Brexiteers" Liam & nif (#10) [+1]
A qualifying match victory at Pre-Show 90 set Benjamin & Mo2 up for their first run at the structure called Tower of Power. The shift to the Duo Division has been a career challenge for 3-time Div.2 Champion Benjamin, who found good preparation with a win against Liam & nif on February 17. They managed to repeat the result, but were tidied up confidently by the #9 team.

Supercard 85: Tower of Power XVII

The Tower exists as a beacon of hope. Gleaming in its splendor, it looms high above - representing man's desire to reach up to the heavens and brush godhood. For some, The Tower will be the path to ruination. An unattainable peak setting them up for an all mighty fall. For others, it will be the base of their Promethean success -- a monument to their excellent immortality!

An entire has provided a compelling backstory to Supercard 85: Tower of Power XVII! There will be more at stake than the Duo Division Championship. History hangs in the balance as "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J face one final, almighty test on their quest to reign undefeated for a full calendar year! They have endured fifteen title defenses before this moment. Now ten of the very best teams in the Duo Division scramble to fend off The Challenger 7, and ascend to defeat these historic champions -- or to anoint them!

The Tower of Power:
28. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) d. TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile (#1) in a history making victory! [+2] [Duo Division Championship]
There was a tension unlike any other as "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J entered The Great Arena to defend their Duo Division Championship! There's always a special gear reserved for when a title is defended at the peak of The Tower of Power, but this time it was more than  a mere twenty-something matches building up to the final battle -- it was 364 days!

Marz & Violent`J have had a spectacular career with two major chapters, the second representing an almost unbeaten Great Arena run that began in 2012 and culminated in the Duo Championship, won this time last year, at Supercard 71: Greatness! In the fifteen title defenses since, Team Xtreme have remained undefeated -- besting the 10 defense record set by Damo & DeathScepter in their defense at June's Tower of Power XVI! At Tower of Power XVII, the chance to become the first team to secure a full year as champions put an extra layer of pressure on an already momentous occasion!

The unrefined team dynamic of TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile didn't quite fit the historic Duo Division moment. It lent an air of uncertainty to the bout, with neither team having a lot to do with the other. TTT had gotten the better of Violent`J when they met in the Summer Grand Slam. Facing the combined might of Team Xtreme proved a very different story!

The rift that had formed between Marz & Violent`J over VJ's affiliation with The Invasion appeared to mend amidst the nostalgia and spectacle. Team Xtreme was in top form in the historic title defense, leaving nothing to chance as they faced the prospect of rewriting the record books! TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile were worthy adversaries, delivering a challenge that could've troubled any other team. Against the Hall of Famer pairing, it simply wasn't enough. Summoning the peak of their powers, Marz & Violent`J were comprehensive in their victory! The sting of defeat would only cost TTT & CTR -2p, but the impact of the result will resonate throughout all time! Marz & Violent`J are the Duo Division Champions -- reigning undefeated for 364 days! Be watching for results from Monday Night Invasion, where Team Xtreme will arrive at the 365th day of their reign - one year on from their original title win!

27. TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile (#1) d. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#2) [+1]
The bad blood between The United and TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile goes back to July's Royal Roulette match, escalating into their alliance at All-Star Summer Showdown. After they conspired to take out Mime, the bitter rivalry between the #1 team and Shoe & Artanix developed into a searing constant -- burning multiple events, including the contender's clash at Supercard 84! Fighting from the #2 spot, it was now The United who were eager to get one back against the all-star alliance of Guardian & Predator! Though their attack was considerably more venomous than it was against The New Generation, they had clearly expended their best in just reaching the #1 spot. Though not nearly as experienced as a duo, TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile have been successful in mutually directing their impressive solo talents against the enmeshed forces of The United! If they'd faced each other a match sooner it might have gone the other way. In the final fight before the Championship final - it was TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile who were convincing winners!

26. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#2) d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#3) [+2]
The top three rungs of Tower of Power XVII were determined by a three-way contender's clash at Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival. Despite sharing the loss, "The United" Shoe & Artanix at least had the distinction of elimination Baraka_MK & Onryo. Eager to avenge their swift defeat, The New Generation brought the fight directly to the faces of The United -- and paid for it! Shoe & Artanix had their own score to settle with the winners of that contender match, and demonstrated the severity of their intent with the kind of fight that could win them The Tower of Power! With absolutely no margin for any other result, The United dominated The New Generation and stepped forward to the biggest grudge match of Supercard 85!

25. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#3) d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) [+1]
The last time these two teams met, it was Supercard 80: Tower of Power XVI, and CCShadow & Scott-Howell were running roughshod through the entire format! The New Generation were the #3 team on that Tower as well, and they fell victim to the rampaging veterans, whose performance was a defining moment of the event! At Tower of Power XVII, Baraka_MK & Onryo called upon their experience to ensure it didn't happen again! The New Generation were a wall before their legendary rivals, completely unmoved in their attempts to advance from the #4 spot. With a comprehensive win, The New Generation advanced toward a rematch they were looking forward to.

24. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#5) [+1]
The #5 pairing attacked their next match with gusto, eager to test themselves against the seasoned supremacy of CCShadow & Scott-Howell! J2O & Porygonix have viewed teams like these as the ultimate benchmark they've been fighting to reach. If their success is to be measured against these top teams, then the future is bright! CCShadow & Scott-Howell put up a solid defense against the enthusiastic team, who weren't able to topple the veterans -- but made a very convincing case for their ability to do so!

23. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#5) d. "The British Exit" Liam & nif (#7) [+1]
The lull in competition in their last match seemed to allow Liam & nif to rally before advancing to The Tower top half. They looked more convincing, but awaiting them in the #5 spot was one of the brightest up-and-coming teams: Jammer2Omega & Porygonix! The fan-favourite pairing didn't disappoint, relishing the opportunity to execute a comprehensive win against their lagging foes.

22. "The British Exit" Liam & nif (#7) d. Sekktor & legoslayer10 (#6) [+1]
Sekktor & legoslayer10 showed their ability to deliver hard hitting performances at a high level, but when The British Exit came to the sixth rung, they had none of the fire seen earlier in the night. Both teams looked heavily spent, clearly affected by the earlier trials of The Challenger 7. It was another close fought finish, but Liam & nif were again able to eke out a valuable win!

21. "The British Exit" Liam & nif (#7) d. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) [+1]
Just when it looked like Unknown265 & mwgrant0 were Cinderella at the ball -- "The British Exit" Liam & nif rushed in to meet their opponents at full force! The two duos collided like running bulls - perfectly matched and almost inseparable! With 2 defeats to their name already thanks to The Challenger 7, Liam & nif that bit more determined against their fatiguing foes. The slightest change to the match could've completely flipped the result, but after a hard hitting near-draw, it was The British who advanced to the sixth rung!

20. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+1]
On a night when numbers would matter so much, Unknown265 & mwgrant0 made their night something to remember with a sixth win that equaled The Alliance's C7 push! The Greek Crisis were completely bamboozled by the charging #10 team, who earned victory against the high profile Greeks in very convincing fashion!

19. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. Mark & Leroy (#9) [+1]
In the structure of Tower of Power, fighters positioned at #10 do one of two things: They crumble under the heavy barrage of The Challenger 7 -- or they thrive! Unknown265 & mwgrant0 had a solid run with 4 wins, and turned that momentum into the first Tower elimination against Mark & Leroy!

The Challenger 7:
18. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. Politics & Menas [+1]
Mystery surrounded the final team in The Challenger 7, the result of a draw in the qualifying matches at Pre-Show 85. Everyone in attendance exploded when Menas emerged alongside Politics to take the final C7 spot! Menas hadn't been seen since June, when he suffered a severe injury fighting Genku in the Mid-Year Grand Slam! Politics valiantly vowed to fight on in honor of his fallen comrade, reaching the peak of a Division 2 Championship shot at Pre-Show 83! It was an elating scene to see them now back together -- but the surprise reunion was quickly rained on by the fresh, highly motivated challenge of Unknown265 & mwgrant0. Suffering the rust of four years apart, Politics & Menas couldn't complete the dream return at Tower of Power XVII. Now that Menas is back, though, they have plenty of time to rebuild their game!

17. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#4) d. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane [+1]
16. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#5) [+1]
15. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. Sekktor & legoslayer10 (#6) [+1]
14. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. "The British Exit" Liam & nif (#7) [+1]
13. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+2]
12. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. Mark & Leroy (#9) [+1]
11. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane d. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) [+1]
Not content to be outdone by The Invasion -- "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane came to fight! The seasoned combination were probably a little hard done to be forced to qualify at Pre-Show 85 - evidenced by the unfortunate fate felt by rxvt! The Alliance Super Friends continued that dominant, hard hitting style, completely bulldozing their way through the beginning rungs! They became the first C7 team to breach Jammer2Omega & Porygonix, and fought through a hard battle to equal Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon's record of reaching rung #4! CCShadow & Scott-Howell turned on a super heavyweight performance to prevent The Alliance reaching the top, but the impact of the record equaling run had every team in the Top 10 on notice with just one Challenger 7 pair left!

10. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge [+1]
With The Invasion's Fallen out after an impactful run, it was up to Jason_Voorhees & edge to pick up the slack for their team. At Pre-Show 85 they qualified in a tense match against "British Exit" Ironize & AcidicWonder, and found themselves locked in a stabilizing encounter with Unknown265 & mwgrant0! The #10 team got their destiny back in control, fending off The Invasion in a tight one.

9. Sekktor & legoslayer10 (#6) d. "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION [+2]
8. "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION d. "The British Exit" Liam & nif (#7) [+1]
7. "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade (#8) [+1]
6. "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION d. Mark & Leroy (#9) [+1]
5. "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION d. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) [+2]
They've only been together since Supercard 83, but Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION have picked up right where the previous incarnation of The Fallen left off! They confidently cleared their way through the first four layers of The Tower of Power, stepping up their qualifying game that saw deadpool & MercWithMouth taken out of contention. Liam & nif briefly whiffed causing trouble, but it was fittingly Sekktor & legoslayer10 who ended The Invasion's Corrupt charge up he Tower! They already bested the pair at Supercard 84, inspired by the turn of UlcaTron to revisit the rescue of their corrupted former allies. A big picture to be addressed when there weren't more matches to fight!

4. Mark & Leroy (#9) d. McDaniel & fraysol [+1]
3. McDaniel & fraysol d. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) [+1]
Just as it looked as if Unknown265 & mwgrant0 may be building up unbeatable momentum, the combination of McDaniel & fraysol reminded them that they are never a team to be under estimated! They had a hard fight with Supercard 84 title challengers KittyKat & JoelKatz in qualifying, but were more emphatic in their preliminary win. It didn't last past that - but it was an impactful reminder!

2. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. Bofh & Dolce [+2]
Bofh & Dolce were confident qualifiers over Rhyno & Grayback at Pre-Show 85, but they found themselves sorely outclassed against Unknown265 & mwgrant0! The #10 team turned up the heat after their first match, delivering a hard hitting victory in their second bout!

1. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 (#10) d. Piccolo & GohanSon [+1]
In the lead-up to Tournament 75, Piccolo & GohanSon helped Poasty prepare for a comeback with a string of matches culminating at Supercard 84. They had no trouble qualifying for the Challenger 7 at Pre-Show 85, but may've wished they'd done some extra training when facing Unknown265 & mwgrant0! Victory was beyond reach in the opening match -- but only just!

Supercard 80: Tower of Power XVI

It is a structure that offers hope to the outsider, belief to the underdog. The Tower of Power comes with the turning of the wheel, allowing those who take its challenge to ride the highs and the lows! At its peak - championship gold to be plucked by any with the hunger and power to take it!

Supercard 80: Tower of Power XVI is a special Tower, indeed! Waiting at the top is the Duo Division Champions: "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J - Hall of Famers whose return to the ranks late in 2015 has resulted in in an unstoppable reign of 10 title defenses! It is a record second only to "The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter, who have reunited to be granted the #1 spot and a chance to defend their record of 10 title defenses provided they can make it to the top!

The Tower of Power:
21. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) d. "The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter (#1) [+2] [Duo Division Championship]
It was at Supercard 69: All-Star Summer Showdown that "The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter established the benchmark for all Duo Division Champions! Their successful title defense against m0s & Knickxasawrrrr was their tenth and final in a two-pronged reign that lasted from December to September 2015! Nobody really expected their record to ever be challenged, but the return of ICWW minted Hall of Fame pairing Marz & Violent`J had changed all of that! In all of their appearances in The Great Arena, they had lost only once! They weren't the team to end the D&D title streak, but they did quickly seize upon the rival team who did. Their unstoppable reign has seen them beat the best the league has to offer - but they'd never defended against Damo & DeathScepter! Electricity filled the air as the two teams came face to face. They exploded! The Service Krew bitterly seizing upon their opportunity with all the entitlements of a team who'd done their apprenticeship in The Great Arena itself! Team Xtreme responded with contempt. They'd set the standard for two-man fighting over a decade ago! No record could stand without them setting it! For a stunning eleventh straight time, they proved they were the standard for Duo Division Champions! Damo & DeathScepter simply outclassed by the legendary Hall of Fame team!

20. "The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter (#1) d. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#2) [+1]
With CCShadow & Scott-Howell taken out of their dominant rampage through The Tower, the tone shifted. It was down to two of the most dominant teams to grace the division in the past couple of years. For "The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter, it was the one fight standing between them and a defense of one of the most impressive records in league history - the longest undefeated streak for Duo Division Champions! They wanted a straight rematch against the champions, but league officials decreed they would have to earn it. For "The United", it was a chance to spoil the aspirations of a pairing who'd only achieved their 10 title defense record after they took the titles from them! An exciting, main event calibre grudge match in the mould of the 19th battle before it! In fact, the attack of both teams echoed that last battle closely. This time, Shoe & Artanix were the already sweating pair grappling with the fresh onslaught of a veteran team! They put up a brilliant fight, but in the end Damo & DeathScepter would not accept anything but a date with destiny!

19. "The United" Shoe & Artanix (#2) d. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) [+1]
No team starting a Tower of Power outside the Top 6 has ever made it to the final rung, but with their domination of the field to this point: #8 CCShadow & Scott-Howell had everyone in attendance expecting history to be made! Tower XVI unfolded to reveal a distinctly tiered ladder, with a clear progression to the most seasoned combinations in the top half. No team to this point had the notoriety or familiarity with their challengers that "The United" Shoe & Artanix have! It was always going to be a main event caliber showdown. The United used their freshness and established success to throw down a high level gauntlet! Some consider Artanix the greatest Duo fighter of all time, and he showed it, contributing to a massive effort! It was a hard fought legendary battle, but in the end, CCShadow & Scott-Howell's streak would come to an end. Howell so close to changing a record!

18. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo (#3) [+2]
2016 has been described as the beginning of The New Generation era with DECEPTION's rise as Undisputed Champion at UGP6, but the dominance of Hall of Fame combination Marz & Violent`J has spoiled Baraka_MK & Onryo's efforts to claim their place. Old rivals CCShadow & Scott-Howell knew to respect their opponents, once again kicking their efforts into overdrive. The New Generation went hard, looking to continue the run that earned them their spot at Pre-Show 80. It was fast becoming apparent that the night would belong to CCShadow & Scott-Howell, however -- a phenomenal seventh victory fuelling belief they could climb The Tower!

17. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix (#4) [+1]
The emerging dynasty of Jammer2Omega & Porygonix took a hit at Pre-Show 80, relegating them to #4 behind the team who won. They were an exciting prospect to lock horns with the charging bull of CCShadow & Scott-Howell! The four warriors were compellingly matched, but the experience factor for CCShadow & Scott-Howell seemed to once again be the edge in an exciting battle! A loss, but another coming out for the still relatively young team of J2O & Pory!

16. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. "The Fallen" UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash (#5) [+1]
Considered frontrunners for contention, the rapidly rising "Fallen" pairing of UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash posed a promising challenge for CCShadow & Scott-Howell! The #5 team have been conquering the ranks in the weeks and months leading up to Tower of Power, but something about the synchronization of the team seemed slightly off. They were slightly out of step, opening the door for CCShadow & Scott-Howell to turn up the heat on their attack on The Tower! The beginning of a streak that started the Great Arena audience in attendance buzzing.

15. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane (#6) [+1]
"The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane set themselves up with a place on The Tower of Power with a big win over Sekktor & legoslayer10 [6/10/2016]. You wouldn't have necessarily known it, watching as they struggled against the awesome might of CCShadow & Scott-Howell! Once again, the legendary team working their way up The Tower showed signs of pacing themselves. A wile, veteran move, assessing vulnerable opponents ahead of many more strong opponents!

14. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. Sekktor & legoslayer10 (#7) [+1]
Sekktor & legoslayer10 had a hard path to The Tower of Power, not the ideal preparation for such a demanding event! They looked like a team distracted, still grappling with the drama of their friend and ally "The Fallen" LordSkarlet's return. They were clearly riding past performances to The Tower, engulfed by veterans CCShadow & Scott-Howell, who appeared to be pacing themselves as they effortlessly took the win.

13. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging (#9) [+1]
#8 team CCShadow & Scott-Howell came in hot, just like they did for their shock elimination of Ratt & NightHawk in The Challenger 7! "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging showed consistency in their offensive, but CCShadow & Scott-Howell put together an attack worthy of a Hall of Fame Duo! The Invasion weer able to escape the battle relatively unscathed - The American Dreamers looking ahead to the rest of The Tower!

12. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging (#9) d. Politics & Menas (#10) [+1]
Politics & Menas did well to collect themselves after a bamboozling defeat at the end of a gruelling Challenger 7 run. The #9 team had lighter duties as the secondary enforcers against the C7 and it showed. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging put together a compelling, championship calibre performance to eliminate the first team on The Tower of Power!

The Challenger 7:
11. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (#8) d. Ratt & NightHawk [+1]
10. Ratt & NightHawk d. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging (#9) [+2]
9. Ratt & NightHawk d. Politics & Menas (#10) [+6]
Anticipation was high for the return of Hall of Famer Ratt & NightHawk - the only combination in the league to hold a victory over Tower Champions: Marz & Violent`J! A groundswell permeated The Great Arena - many believing this could be the team to produce something special! They started as anticipated - destroying Politics & Menas in their seventh match of the night! "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging put up a better fight, but Rattamania engulfed them too - merciful to only dispatch them with +2p! It seemed as if the night was only just beginning when CCShadow & Scott-Howell descended like blast doors for their first match - completely shutting down the Hall of Fame assault! A shocking conclusion for The Challenger 7, and an exciting prelude to The Tower!

8. Politics & Menas (#10) d. "British Exit" Liam & nif [+1]
British Exiters Liam & nif continued to get the better of their European aligned counterparts -- but only just! They clearly out performed "The Greek Crisis", but were similarly unable to get the better of a reenergized Politics & Menas! It remains to be seen if the political strategy of Britain's fighters will pay off in the long run. They'll have a week to wait - Monday Night Invasion on hiatus next week for Tournament 68.

7. Politics & Menas (#10) d. McDaniel & fraysol [+1]
Politics & Menas bounced back from their previous loss, rising to the energy of one of the exciting up and coming teams in the Duo ranks! McDaniel & fraysol were explosive in their attack on The Tower, creating an incredibly close fought battle! They came up short, but it's another exciting step in the career of a hopeful combination!

6. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging (#9) d. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 [+2]
5. Unknown265 & mwgrant0 d. Politics & Menas (#10) [+1]
The comeback reunion of Unknown265 & mwgrant0 continued to be a bitter struggle as they ran into the roadblock of "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging! They rose to the heights of past performances with a strong win over beleaguered Politics & Menas, but it all fell apart in the follow-up -- a far cry from the hot streak that took them to a Duo Division title match back at Supercard 76!

4. Politics & Menas (#10) d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade [+1]
"The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade have been at the forefront of a political struggle between the fighters of Europe and the separatists of The British Exit, but their experiences couldn't prepare them for the man Politics, and his partner Menas! It was a hard fought match, but The Greek Crisis will have other priorities when Monday Night Invasion resumes in two weeks!

3. "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging (#9) d. Mark & Leroy [+2]
2. Mark & Leroy d. Politics & Menas (#10) [+1]
Tensions with the "British Exit" had earned Mark & Leroy notable wins heading into Tower of Power and they kept that momentum alive in a clash with old rivals Politics & Menas! It couldn't continue any farther than that, though - The Invasion's DaemonX & Banging too strong!

1. Politics & Menas (#10) d. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge [+1]
Pre-Show 80 qualifiers Jason_Voorhees & edge stepped up as the first team to take the challenge of the Top 10 team chosen from the Duo Division ranks. #10 tandem Politics & Menas set the tone for The 16th Tower, demonstrating the barrier to entry all Challenger 7 pairings could look forward to! It was a hard fought match, but The Invasion just couldn't find an edge.

Supercard 75: Tower of Power XV

It is the diabolical structure that has the potential to turn the league on its head! No event matches the Tower of Power for the degree of opportunity -- granting seventeen fighters the chance to win the Undisputed Championship in a single night! The only catch? You've got to earn your way to the gold!

At Supercard 75: Tower of Power XV, there was an added element of mystery! Only five of the eleven Tower of Power fighters was revealed ahead of time. At Pre-Show 75, only two Challenger 7 fighters were chosen in qualifying. It was always destined to be a special night. Just how special - nobody could have predicted!

The Tower of Power:
30. ElJobber (c) d. "Hitman" DECEPTION (#4) in convincing fashion! [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
Four impressive victories had brought "The Hitman" DECEPTION to the spot he'd been chasing for two years! In that time, he and ElJobber had had their share of confrontations. At All-Star Summer Showdown 2015, ElJobber had the better of The Hitman. At Pre-Show 70: Night of Champions IV, Damo helped DECEPTION turn the tables against The Corrupt leader and his ally Mime. He stood alone against "Corrupt Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo at Supercard 71: Greatness, beating them. His demise the month after completed BMK & Onryo's turn against Lucifer's Ladder, even if they were still Corrupt. His saga had brought him full circle at Supercard 75. He thwarted Hokey, now he just needed to beat ElJobber to become Undisputed Champion. A fairy tale ending nobody told ElJobber about. The Undisputed Champion rained on the parade in an overwhelming performance -- The Hitman unable to extend his phenomenal streak to a fifth and final win. ElJobber retained.

29. "Hitman" DECEPTION (#4) d. m0s (#1) in a solid high level contest! [+1]
In Battle Royale, m0s had asserted his dominance as a 10-man eliminator. He was an early choice to be #1 contender for that fact, eager to return to the main event of UGP the hard way - as Undisputed Champion. m0s fought into the match at a super heavyweight standard, but DECEPTION matched him at every turn! The groundswell of momentum surrounding DECEPTION exploded as he toppled an amazing fourth title contender! After years of being on the cusp - The Hitman had finally earned his right to challenge for the Undisputed Championship!

28. "Hitman" DECEPTION (#4) d. United: Hokey (#2) in a great match! [+2]
It was back at November's Supercard 72: Survivor Sequence - The Payoff that "The Hitman" DECEPTION was put onto the shelf. It was an Iron Man Death Match with arch-nemesis Hokey that cost him his first Undisputed Championship opportunity and a month and a half of his career. Hokey may be coming off a title loss at Supercard 74, but with The United under new management, and his already noted dominance over DECEPTION -- few could've predicted the result that occurred! They fought tooth and nail in a truly bitter encounter, but this time "The Hitman" found his target -- taking Hokey out to the roar of the audience!

27. "Hitman" DECEPTION (#4) d. "The Redeemer" LordSkarlet (#3) in convincing fashion. [+2]
Excitement filled the air as two of the hot new challengers came face-to-face. "The Redeemer" LordSkarlet is well known for his exploits in the now defunct Kombat Fight League, but he stepped up to a new level as the runner-up of Battle Royale 2016! There was a lot of hope and belief that he would keep the momentum going -- but "The Hitman" DECEPTION had his sights set on something special at Supercard 75! In another compelling encounter, DECEPTION fought back the odds to be the first Tower XV fighter to go against the contender rankings -- toppling LordSkarlet in convincing style!

26. "Hitman" DECEPTION (#4) d. The_Purple_Bunny (#5) in a hard fought match! [+1]
Making his long awaited return to solo competition - "The Hitman" DECEPTION had the support of the crowd. He was unlucky in his Battle Royale return, and found himself facing another tough match against the might of The_Purple_Bunny! In an impressive show of guts, DECEPTION was able to snatch glory from TPB's grasp. An amazing, hard fought match -- one that seemed to put The Hitman in a doubtful position in a by-the-numbers Tower!

25. The_Purple_Bunny (#5) d. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) [+1]
CaTigeReptile may have fought off one obsessed championship junkie in Genku, but a second was just a bridge too far. The_Purple_Bunny's mad quest for the Undisputed Championship produced one of the great close matches of Tower of Power XV. Some may speculate Damo's earlier Challenger 7 match helped push CaTigeReptile to her limit. Another notch in TPB's belt at "The Chosen One's" expense.

24. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) d. The Great Genku (#7) in a convincing win! [+3]
Graduating to #6, Genku no doubt looked forward to getting some payback against CaTigeReptile! "The Guardian" was responsible for eliminating him from Battle Royale - nixing his hopes of a main event title match at UGP. It was all just history repeating as CTR once again played gatekeeper to Genku's aspirations. She shut him down with a surprisingly strong victory. Another bitter pill for the frustrated great one!

23. The Great Genku (#7) d. Mime (#8) in convincing fashion. [+2]
Mime looked bullish in his confrontation with #7: Genku. Eager to get back to the Undisputed Champioship he lost back in December -- Genku found the greatness he earned through 2015 in the twenty-third Supercard 75 match. There wasn't much Mime could do, fighting to a doubtless conclusion against a highly motivated opponent.

22. Mime (#8) d. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) in an utter destruction! [+12]
Bad blood between Knickxasawrrrr and Mime came to the fore as the Tower of Power continued its elimination stage. The pair who were two of the most improved in 2015 had crossed paths in the final days of the KFL - Mime an accomplice in the corruption of Knickxasawrrrr's friend UlcaTron. They came to blows at Pre-Show 74, where Knickxasawrrrr got the win. In a Tower rankings match, Mime was the better [2/19/2016]. Their third meeting for 2016 unravelled rapidly as Mime completely overwhelmed his opponent! Emotion and exhaustion must have got the better of Knickxasawrrrr as he completely capitulated when the going got tough!

21. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) d. King Ken (#10) [+1]
Tower of Power was proving a nightmare for "King of the World" Ken! He did his best to summon a kingly strength against Knickxasawrrrr, but his valiant efforts couldn't undo the bruising he suffered as the first line on the Tower of Power. Knickxasawrrrr launched an impressive attack in a reprisal of his Friday Night Fights role as eliminator [2/19/2016].

The Challenger 7:
20. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile (#6) d. "The Chosen One" Damo in a domination! [+MAX]
19. "The Chosen One" Damo d. The Great Genku (#7) in convincing fashion. [+1]
18. "The Chosen One" Damo d. Mime (#8) in a total annihilation! [+MAX]
17. "The Chosen One" Damo d. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) in convincing fashion. [+2]
16. "The Chosen One" Damo d. King Ken (#10) in a comprehensive result. [+1]
He believed he was the "Chosen One" of the powers that be that would be gifted a Battle Royale win and the main event title shot at Ultimate Grand Prix. Instead, he was a pawn in The_Purple_Bunny's obsessed quest to reclaim the Undisputed Championship! That hasn't stopped him believing in his own greatness, though. Kept out of contention by a Pre-Show 75 loss to TPB, Damo was highly motivated to climb at least to the middle of the Tower! His rampage delivered MAX Damage to Mime and a convincing win against The Great Genku -- but "The Guardian" of the arena was prepared! Damo's strong style is based on his frequent flexing, but endurance let him down against the final undefeated barrier: CaTigeReptile!

15. The Great Genku (#7) d. VenoMark in convincing fashion. [+2]
14. VenoMark d. Mime (#8) in a comprehensive result. [+1]
13. VenoMark d. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) in an utter destruction! [+10]
12. VenoMark d. King Ken (#10) in very convincing fashion! [+3]
He lost the KFL Championship in a shock Friday Night Fights Open Challenge [2/5/2016], but a path of dominance coming out of 2015 meant the loss merely freed him to challenge the Tower of Power! The former Undisputed Champion and King of the Death Match raised the stakes with a destructive +10 win over Knickxasawrrrr, which continued in the first defeat of Mime for the night! His streak may have been stopped by #7 Genku, but the message was clear: VenoMark means business in 2016!

11. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) d. Banging in a comprehensive result! [+5]
10. Banging d. King Ken (#10) in a solid win. [+1]
The Alliance may have succeeded in keeping two of The Invasion's fighters out of the hunt, but the league council deemed Banging worthy of the Challenger 7! He recently turned on partner Statix [2/5/2016], teaming with DaemonX to invade Friday Night Fights [2/12/2016]. It seemed more likely that Statix would be the Pacific Connection fighter to get this spot, but after Oozaru shunned him this week, he's nowhere to be seen. Banging didn't get far into The Tower, but the saga is far from over.

9. Mime (#8) d. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger in a comprehensive win! [+6]
8. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger d. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) in very convincing fashion! [+3]
7. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger d. King Ken (#10) in a destructive result! [+15]
For months TonyTheTiger has been the lurking threat overlooked by the other championship calibre contenders. Always a danger, he started his Challenger 7 run with a massive +15 impact! It was all or nothing in all of his bouts, but #8 Mime once again stepped up to defend the Tower of Power.

6. King Ken (#10) d. "Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile [+1]
Having picked up surprise victories against The_Purple_Bunny during Tournament 63 and Friday Night Fights [2/5/2016] - "The Secret Weapon" was a natural choice for The Challenger 7. Alas; his feud with TPB, including a revenge bout [2/12/2016] must have taken its toll. King Ken was able to recover from his initial defeats, putting SST out of contention straight away.

5. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) d. The_Hurricane in convincing fashion. [+1]
4. The_Hurricane d. King Ken (#10) [+1]
Recovered from his fight with AlbertBeefcake; Knickxasawrrrr was able to put the breaks on The_Hurricane. Like his Alliance partner, The_Hurricane was more concerned with keeping The Invasion out of the running. He defeated Shen_DuHBK in one of only two Pre-Show 75 qualifying matches.

3. Mime (#8) d. AlbertBeefcake in convincing fashion. [+3]
2. AlbertBeefcake d. Knickxasawrrrr (#9) in convincing fashion. [+2]
1. AlbertBeefcake d. King Ken (#10) in a solid result. [+1]
Legendary ICWW persona AlbertBeefcake got things off to a rolling start. He showed a lot of strength in the early going, but ran into a wall in the shape of Mime! As one half of what remains of The Alliance, he's more than likely not too disappointed. His goal was to prevent Jason_Voorhees getting the chance to upset The Tower -- a task he performed in a qualifying match at Pre-Show 75.
