Championship World Tour: United Kingdom

After winning Tournament 10: The Masters Series at the end of 2011, TonyTheTiger dared to call himself "Master." At Supercard 19: Battle Royale 2012, Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen taught him exactly what that title means, when he destroyed the pretender in a punishing +10 battle! In defeat, TonyTheTiger had an epiphany. Spurred on by the mocking contempt of the ancient Grandmaster; TonyTheTiger embarks on the first ever Championship World Tour, defending his newly won title against the greatest fighters in the world in an effort to learn from their varied styles, and abilities.

Africa showed "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger a different side of competition, where the talented kingjolly refused to take his skills for granted, fighting with a fierce determination against overwhelming odds! TonyTheTiger may have ultimately taken an easy defense from his inexperienced opponent, but the memory of his willpower will no doubt leave an impression as he embarks toward Europe. From the landscapes of Nigeria, TonyTheTiger treks across Africa, eventually making his way to Spain on the way to Northern Ireland and England!

The Champion's World Tour Diary:
I feel mixed feelings leaving Africa. It showed me harsh and beautiful sides of people and the wild, both. I will see kingjolly again in July, when he represents his homeland at the culmination of the Olympiad. It will be exciting to see how far he can come in that short time. I hope I have given him as much as he has given me. I have been forced to cover a lot of ground in a very short time, and did not encounter many fighters in Africa, but I would remember him well, even if I had.

The more I travel, the more I see the common threads that tie our world together. For all our differences, there is something familiar to see in every corner of the globe. Spain has a strong sense of character, but I sometimes see glimpses of Africa in its vibrant colours, and its warm, energetic people. I encountered a mysterious fighter calling himself Red_Spaniard -- he seemed like a good opponent. He reminded me of kingjolly, in some way, but it was not to be. Perhaps we too will meet again, in July.

I had seen other travellers when in Spain, but there was something about the English air that felt unique. I knew I would find plenty of fighters in Britain. I wondered if I finally might encounter one of the members of the Turncoat movement, but instead, it was a familiar regular of The Great Arena! Leroy had made a name for himself as one of the Duo Division's top competitors, recently ending a long battle with members of Team Agaper. As a leader of Team Ops, I knew I could gain much from defending my Championship to him. He met me with good spirit.
3. "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger (c) d. Leroy (GBR) in a solid +4 victory!
The battles between Team Ops and Team Agaper may have made Leroy one of the recognised names of The Great Arena, but his career as a teamplayer meant the jolly great Brit would be out of his element in a one-on-one encounter for the Undisputed Championship! Like the other fighters who had taken the opportunity of TonyTheTiger's Championship World Tour, he simply could not turn his back on such a rare shot at the top prize! Quite unlike his predecessors, however, Leroy would not only take his shot, but look quite impressive whilst doing so!

TonyTheTiger may have embarked on his "World Warrior" journey to earn the right to be called Champion, but in doing so, was exposing himself to a routine never before seen in League history! Bursting straight out of his victory over The_Purple_Bunny at Pre-Show 21 -- TonyTheTiger has fought a non-stop tour across the globe, without breaks! With his previous wins catching up with him, the Tournament 10 winner looked vulnerable! Against a higher tier opponent, he almost certainly would have been in danger of losing the Undisputed Championship, but Leroy was simply unable to capitalize on his moment of weakness!

Recognising the stakes, TonyTheTiger gathered himself, fighting hard to produce a solid win -- still able to inflict +4 impact, even in his weakned state. It speaks to the depth "The World Warrior" has already been able to add to his fight, but paints an uncertain picture as the Championship World Tour returns to the European mainland! He'll cross through France, taking a course in the direction of Asia that will take him through Croatia, before moving through the exotic Middle East!

Championship World Tour: Africa

During the South American stint of his tour, "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger came face-to-face with Murdoink -- a veteran of the league whose interests usually veer toward the Duo Division Championships. Despite hoping to contest the fourth Tower of Power with the two-man titles on the line, Murdoink (CLE) gladly took the opportunity to challenge for the top prize! Without his partner (Baraka_MK), however, Murdoink found himself utterly destroyed, allowing TonyTheTiger to continue his title trek into Argentina, before travelling across the sea to the Republic of Angola.

The Champion's World Tour:
I am sad to leave South America behind. Murdoink was a good opponent, with a strong fighting spirit. I hope he will find success in the Tower of Power to be fought this weekend, back in The Great Arena. I have never fought as part of a duo. Perhaps this is a skill I should take in. While in Argentina waiting for travel, I met a passionate fighter named marianokombat. He lacks experience but shows promise. Perhaps some day he will be my partner -- or opponent.

Arriving in Angola, I am reminded of the world outside of competition. Like my friend marianokombat, this is a country with immense passion and potential for greatness. I feel they have experienced far more than I can imagine, however, in a short span of time. Perhaps this is why the Grandmaster challenged me to travel the world. I have not encountered many opponents in Africa, but I sense a courageous spirit all around me. It feels good not to fight, and the people who have been kind to me agree.

Following the coast, I encountered more versions of Africa than I ever imagined. Many kind people have joined me on my walk. The children I have met remind me of the joys of innocence. In Nigeria, I finally met a fighter I know. kingjolly possesses a passion for arts of many kinds. He is the perfect challenger for the Undisputed Championship -- a combatant of true depth. I will not have much time to spend with him. I still have much of Africa to see before I continue my journey into Spain. I will learn as much from kingjolly as I can. He has many unique insights to share, I am sure.

2. "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger (c) d. kingjolly (NGA) in a +12 destruction!
Standing before the Undisputed Champion, kingjolly finds himself confronted by a once in a lifetime opportunity. Dramatically outmatched, he is perhaps the most unlikely challenger to ever contest the top prize, having just six matches experience prior to his first title bout! Despite this fact, he gallantly faced down an opponent he could have no hope of defeating. TonyTheTiger has shown a steady hand against the biggest names in The Great Arena, taking on and beating many of them. Even at full power, kingjolly would have struggled to phase the champion, but it didn't matter. The willingness to fight was enough to engender kingjolly as a worthy opponent. TonyTheTiger may have fended off his attacks with ease, only to effortlessly strike him back down, but kingjolly would not quit.

A +12 impact may have been a crushing defeat by any measure, but for a fighter so outrageously outclassed by an opponent, kingjolly achieved something special. Murdoink, a far superior fighter, suffered +18 in his clash with TonyTheTiger. Perhaps "The World Warrior" felt it unnecessary to punish the only challenger he encountered in Africa, or perhaps the wisdom kingjolly offered was the will to keep going, even in the face of impossible odds.

Successful at retaining the title, TonyTheTiger continues his Championship World Tour! He next enters Spain, before seeking further competition from the United Kingdom! The World Warrior will return to the cold of Europe thereafter, offering opportunity to European more competition!

Championship World Tour: South America

It began at the end of 2011, when the 7 Masters were to gather for a special Boxing Day event,  December 26. When the mysterious Second Master ("Wind") failed to enter the arena, Tournament 10: The Masters Series took on new context, delivering TonyTheTiger to the self-assumed status of Master upon victory over ElJobber. Subsequently, "Master" TonyTheTiger found himself confronted by the eldest surviving member of the 7 Masters and founder of the Cheev Fu discipline, Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen! The Supercard 19: Battle Royale 2012 feature match saw TonyTheTiger suffer a punishing +10 defeat -- harsh, but not nearly the fullest extent of the power the Grandmaster could have exerted!

Humbled; TonyTheTiger is shown that becoming a Master means much more than simply winning one tournament and assuming the title. Stripped of the false claim, TonyTheTiger finds himself in a position as top contender to the Undisputed Championship, but seeks greater guidance from the one true Master. Cynical about TonyTheTiger's potential, Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen challenges the would-be "champion" to travel the world, face its many styles, and be consumed by them. Thus; after defeating The_Purple_Bunny at Pre-Show 20: The Ground Floor, "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger begins his Championship World Tour, offering a shot at the title to the best fighters from the four corners of the globe!

The Champion's World Tour Diary:
Leaving The Great Arena behind, I began my journey in South America.
Murdoink has long been a proud representative of the region and I looked forward to having the likely opportunity to fight him. I have heard he will return to The Great Arena on the 19th, to compete in a Tower of Power event for the Duo Division Championship. Perhaps he will have the honor of being the first holder of both Championships. He has worked hard and deserves those belts. I will try to give him a good fight as preparation.

I encountered more fighters than I anticipated during my travels through Mexico and Bolivia. I did not expect to encounter one of the exiles of The Great Arena. I am sad I will not have the opportunity to fight them again, but that is their choice. Celeste has become a truly impressive fighter. While in Mexico, she recounted her impressive victory over my old rival, ElJobber, during Tournament 11. He has changed a lot since our early battles in Tournament 2. I am sad he feels the need to punish his opponents in his "MAX Damage Boot Camp."  Celeste did well to beat him in the tournament, and did well to kept him to +7 in their rematch at Pre-Show 20. I am told he may be waiting for me when I arrive in Australia at the beginning of March. I hope I will be ready.

I arrived in Chile on the 15th. I was right, Murdoink is eager to challenge me for the Undisputed Championship. I am looking forward to my first defense. The Grandmaster tried to discourage me, but I know I am ready for this fight. This will be the beginning of his World Warrior test. I will not repeat the mistakes of the past. I will prove myself worthy before I call myself "Champion." I am ready.
1. "The World Warrior" TonyTheTiger (c) d. Murdoink (CHL) in a +18 destruction!
With official sanctioning from The Union of the Human League; the Championship is defended outside The Great Arena for the very first time! Despite being scheduled to compete in Tower of Power IV a mere four days later, Murdoink is unable to pass up the opportunity to challenge for the greatest prize in the league -- the Undisputed Championship. Just three days after winning the title, TonyTheTiger faces the daunting prospect of the shortest reign in history. Alternatively, after a stretch of four champions who were unable to defend the prestigious title, "The World Warrior" has the opportunity to restore the chase -- even if the calibre of his opposition is subject to speculation.

TonyTheTiger had endured a close fought match against The_Purple_Bunny at Pre-Show 20. Apparently reinvigorated by his victory -- not to mention the thrill of rising to Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen's scoffing challenge -- TTT showed no signs of the fatigue expected mere days after his title win! Murdoink, on the other hand, carried the scars of a gruelling 2011. Unable to muster his best, Murdoink was hopelessly outclassed in singles competition. The Duo Division specialist suffered a punishing +18 impact as TonyTheTiger reconfirmed the dominance of his rise to the top of the solo league. Murdoink will want to recover fast! Partnered with Baraka_MK, the Chilean warrior will contest the long sought Duo Division Championships at Supercard 20: Tower of Power IV, entering the legendary format at #6!

With his first successful defense registered, TonyTheTiger is able to continue his Championship World Tour quest! The World Warrior next enters Argentina, before making his way across the sea to the continent of Africa! What exciting new challenges will await him?
