Friday Night Fights (April 7, 2017)

The first Friday Night Fights after Ultimate Grand Prix VII was packed with aftershocks from one of the biggest Supercards in history! Fallout from the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal spilled into The Great Arena in particular - spawning several grudge bouts between unlucky competitors!

SubScorpTile & Methuselah6463 formed an unlikely alliance to take on a common enemy from the 30-fighter Battle Royal! "The Invasion" Loopster & Jauger had used the advantage of coordinated teamwork to dominate the early stages of the match! Their cohesion sent Methuselah6463 and SST out third and fourth, but on Friday Night Fights it was the odd pairing who secured an impressive victory! Final four fighter G0LD, and nightbreed_16 also fended off disgruntled Battle Royal opponents!

The night's main event had the biggest Duo Division match by far, celebrating the reunion of "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging! Banging finally broke free of the influence of DaemonX to join Oozaru's team as a surprise entrant at UGP7! The original Pacific Connection were famed rivals of Team Xtreme, winning the ICWW Tag Team Championships on two occasions! They got back into the old rhythm with a dominant +7 impact win against kentei290 & rick991!

Fellow Team Oozaru survivor Statix was also back in The Great Arena earlier in the night. He was looking for a face-to-face with DArqueBishop, but found himself confronted by Ghrimm instead! The challenge found Ghrimm completely out of his depth as Statix executed a thorough +18 impact! Statix got the better of DArqueBishop in the final Survival Sequence elimination at UGP. What he wanted from The Invasion's new Management is unclear.

It was also unclear what prompted a clash between Invasion duos when WilliamRegal & TripleH challenged Jericho & Zengeance in the opening bout! Regal & TripleH picked up a confident victory against their teammates.
