Friday Night Fights (October 14, 2016)

Friday Night Fights has played host to many unprecedented scenes throughout 2016 - among them, the early incursions of the force known as The Invasion! The subsequent launch of Monday Night Invasion moved the fight to the start of the week, and for the most part that's where it has stayed, particularly since the take over by DaemonX after Pre-Show 81: The British Exit. Those divisions completely dissolved under the wave of The Invasion that attacked on October 14th!

The Invasion's target was ShawnMichaels and The British Exit, who've been creeping across enemy lines for weeks to initiate a plan to lure Banging away from DaemonX. That goal was immediately announced when a 2-on-1 assault on Ironize opened proceedings. His Brexit "Everlasting Gaze" partner AcidicWonder could do nothing to help - swept up by Invasion Euro warrior Chromatose!

ShawnMichaels avoided the literal invasion of Friday Night Fights, leaving several league regulars to get swept up in the assault. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix were victims of recent recruits "The Fallen" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION. Division 2 stud G0LD did well to fight off Shaggy2Dope, but xort was no match for Loopster. At this point, ShawnMichaels allowed his Brexit enforcers Liam & nif to enter the fray -- but they were swept up by Invasion rivals Jason_Voorhees & edge!

Just as they did at Night of Champions V, CaTigeReptile & Poasty decided to combine forces to try to push back against The Invasion. They completely overwhelmed MattHardy & Jauger, tactically entered fodder who left DaemonX' heavy hitters for the final battles!

Banging may've been successfully lured to Team Brexit by a case of confused identities, but the hope that he may be returned to The Invasion meant Shen_DuHBK had the duty of subduing him. A hard fought encounter ended with Banging on top, but busied enough to leave the way clear for The Great Genku to deliver his third consecutive MAX Damage beat down to ShawnMichaels' tactical Queen - DemoniaX!

With no pieces left on the board, ShawnMichaels emerged to face DaemonX in a rematch from Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival! This time it was the British General who took control of the battle, fighting to avenge himself against the man who exiled him from The Invasion! The attack on the arena may have been largely successful, but ShawnMichaels ensured The British Exit got the final word as he stood victorious at the FNF close! An unexpected ending to a shocking night!

The battle will resume this weekend at Pre-Show 85: Rage in the Cage when Duos from The Invasion and The British Exit fight to qualify for Tower of Power XVII! Competing in the recently announced bouts will be: Ironize & AcidicWonder, Jason_Voorhees & edge, "The Fallen" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION, Rhyno & Grayback, and MattHardy & Jauger!
