Friday Night Fights (June 9, 2017)

The Invasion dominated the main event of Friday Night Fights as Genku's hostile takeover of the faction continued to produce turmoil within The Great Arena!

The official announcement for Supercard 95: Tower of Power XIX confirmed the ultimate prize of the Undisputed Championship will be on the line Sunday, June 18th! An exciting prospect to all but Genku, who was confirmed to have narrowly missed the cut-off for The Tower, and would attend the event as a participant in the preliminary Challenger 7. This naturally led Genku to a customarily loud response - not his only one in the last seven days, either.

Genku put Invasion guns Jason_Voorhees & edge on notice during the week, questioning their role in the group after fighting alongside them in two losing battles. Eager to prove themselves, they took on MKR & blacksaibot in a rematch against last week's back-up for VenoMark. The Invasion duo were in control throughout the match, comfortably securing a solid victory under tandem conditions!

With other things on his mind, Genku wasn't there to confirm whether or not the victory impressed. Instead it was Mick who emerged after the match to personally congratulate the pair! He announced that league officials had considered their win, and decided they'll get a Duo Division Championship rematch this weekend at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense!

Having called conspiracy; claimed he could beat any and all of the ten contenders selected for The Tower; and demanded one of them reveal themselves so he could prove it -- Genku found himself face-to-face with "The Predator" TonyTheTiger in the night's main event!

TTT recently re-established his contention prospects with an upset victory over DECEPTION at Pre-Show 94. He lost a subsequent rematch at Supercard 94: Red Reign, but showed no signs of erring as he absolutely dominated Genku! The comprehensive victory ended with a +7 rated impact that appeared to reinforce Genku's fated placement in The Challenger 7 as the night ended!

DArqueBishop and a mystery Hall of Famer will also be among the seven hopefuls who'll face The Tower of Power! This weekend at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense; the remaining four Challenger 7 fighters will be determined by a series of qualifying matches!
