Supercard 87: End Of Days

War has beset The Great Arena! Invading forces threaten the sanctity of this temple of combat, now ravaged by death and destruction. This grim chaos has left no possibility for another outcome. As the calendar year of 2016 finally draws to a close - Supercard 87 hosts the End of Days! Will the league survive it? Will the fighters who do want to go on? Pray for a miracle...

12. United: Mimik defeated United: Hokey (c) and VenoMark in a shocking three-way! [+1/--/-1] [Undisputed Championship]
Tensions between Mimik and Hokey first presented during the Night of Champions V Battle Royal. The United quickly followed with claims of solidarity, but when Mimik stunned everyone with his Undisputed Championship win at Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival, Hokey ignited the feud by cashing in his Royal Roulette title opportunity to take the gold from his teammate at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence - Invasion! Hokey wasn't the only fighter who had a strong reaction to Mimik's surprise title win. VenoMark had dominated Mimik throughout the earlier parts of the year, and was incensed when he claimed the Undisputed Championship before he could! Though winning the title is VenoMark's ultimate goal, beating Mimik while doing it seemed like the perfect end to the year!

With Hokey keeping cagey about his reasons for challenging Mimik, theories had emerged that perhaps they were in cahoots all along - a plot to guarantee the title stayed within The United ranks. The fears of a 2-on-1 ambush became something of a reality as VenoMark found himself in an immediate fight for survival! The Champ focused his attentions on the aggressive challenger, working to neutralize the widely tipped danger of VenoMark. With Mimik in control of the match, Hokey swung some momentum, eliminating VenoMark!

Was it all part of an elaborate plan? The answer was: no. Mimik and Hokey collided in a final clash to determine who would walk into 2017 the Undisputed Champion! The elimination boosted Hokey's offense, while Mimik began to show signs of fading. Mimik was the one fighter nobody really rated heading in to this match, but The United were destined to produce a second miracle at End Of Days! Summoning the peak of his powers, Mimik unloaded on Hokey -- executing a comprehensive winning attack to stun everyone with his third Undisputed Championship win! Hokey handed the gold to the new champion, nodding in acknowledgment as End Of Days came to a shocking close.

11. "The United" Shoe & Artanix defeated "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) in a history making victory! [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
When Shoe & Artanix were announced as Duo Division Championship challengers, there was a certain amount of resignation for what was to come. Although they are undoubtedly one of the all-time great teams, they've also fallen to the indomitable Champions twice before - at Supercard 79: Purple Reign, and most memorably at Battle Royale 2016. After 420 consecutive days, and 19 successful title defenses, "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J have begun to feel like a part of the scenery - an inevitability! This only served to create a numbing sense of disbelief as the legendary reign of the Hall of Fame pairing finally came to an end! Shoe & Artanix were at the top of their game, leaving nothing to chance as they gave Team Xtreme the toughest challenge of their reign! It was an awe inspiring sight, an end of an era - one no one could fully believe they were seeing! Against all odds, against all expectations - Team Xtreme have lost, The United are the new Duo Division Champions! The perfect bookend to an unbelievable year for The United!

10. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile defeated "Invasion Contender Elect" Genku in convincing fashion! [+1]
Ever since he was voted The Invasion's Contender Elect - "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile has been gunning for Genku! Awakening to the danger that ultimately brought war to The Great Arena, CTR has led the fight against The Invasion. She dominated DaemonX and Invasion forces on the path to End Of Days, inspired a Koalition of willing fighters, and used it to put Genku on the defensive at the start of the week. The Guardian continued that warpath at Supercard 87, marching over Genku with a dominating performance! Genku escaped without serious injuries, but the loss is a major blow to his campaign as Contender Elect! A major moral victory for CaTigeReptile!

9. "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet defeated "The Hitman" DECEPTION in convincing fashion! [+1]
LordSkarlet may not have won the Invasion Election in November, but his performance since as an Invasion heavy have made him one of the hottest names to watch. With DECEPTION entering into a war time Koalition to fight The Invasion, The Hitman set up one of the most anticipated match-ups of Supercard 87! With CTR, DECEPTION earned a duo victory earlier this week, but presumptions the 2-time Undisputed Champion was a shoo-in were quickly challenged! The American Nightmare has been at the top of his game, and with all eyes on him, he was ready to hit the big time once again! Under the End Of Days banner, LordSkarlet not only turned the tables on DECEPTION, but did so in convincing fashion! Another huge feather of redemption in the cap of the once Fallen!

8. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger defeated United: Mime in a solid victory. [+1]
The United's trios win at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence was a chance for Mime to return to settle the score with his All-Star Summer Showdown ambusher: TonyTheTiger. The win gave him the confidence to seek further retribution solo - something that more than suited The Predator's primal grudge against the team! While his best ally has shifted focus; TonyTheTiger still sees The United as his primary target. This focus meant Mime was alone in the jungle with a fearsome predator! TTT brought the claws, cutting Mime down to take the win.

7. United: Murdoink (c) defeated Poasty in a competitive match. [+1] [Division 2 Championship]
Events at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence had a profound impact on the man called Poasty. Still haunted by the harrowing attack of September 16, it all came flooding back after the trios loss to Shoe & The United. Winning the Division 2 Championship at that same event, Murdoink mocked his foe's traumatic withdrawal from competition - issuing an open challenge! In an inspiring moment, Poasty emerged in The Great Arena to answer that challenge! Showing grit and determination he rushed his stunned foe! Poasty had defeated Murdoink three times before The United fighter won the title. Grudge matches for Murdoink's role in spoiling his Div. 2 title comeback. The gold he never lost finally seemed to be within reach, but Murdoink found a way to fight back! A bitter loss for Poasty, who knows so well he can beat Murdoink. Made all the worse by the gloating celebration the Division 2 Champion displayed upon victory.

6. Banging defeated Statix (c) in a solid win. [+1] [KFL Championship]
A fleeting moment shared on November 7 began another shift in the twisting psyche of Banging. No longer confused by Brexit ally DemoniaX, he returned to The Invasion on December 9, renewing his loyalty with the warring force. That was enough to earn to him a rematch against former partner and Supercard 86 opponent Statix. A bout that found him razor focused in his desire to bring the KFL Championship back to The Invasion! Statix did his best to find inspiration in The Alliance's team win earlier in the night, but could not endure Banging's commitment to the gold!

5. Sekktor & legoslayer10 defeated "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION in a comprehensive win! [+1]
Having become distracted with championship aspirations, Sekktor rejoined legoslayer10 to renew their efforts to reach former ally Corrupt hydraslash. The Fallen combination showed no signs of acknowledging their past selves. Desperate to show hydraslash the way back to the light, they were left with no choice but to fight! Their offense completely overwhelmed The Invasion Fallen! Their offense left no scars, but their desire to free hydraslash was clear!

Survivor: AlbertBeefcake

It was thanks to a mammoth effort by LordSkarlet that The Invasion were able to get the best of The Alliance at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence - Invasion. With the "American Nightmare" occupied, they issued another challenge! PaganFreak started it off well, forcing Shen_DuHBK into a hard fought rally. The Italian Cyclone had completely run out of wind by the time UlcaTron entered the match, effortlessly eliminating him. He dug deep to endure a hard hitting offensive from European Crusher Chromatose. The benefit of which went to Hall of Famer Rockey316, who took care of Chromatose swiftly! The Indian Fire Cracker went off on Loopster and SubScorpTile, chopping them down with an unrelenting attack.

After three eliminations Rockey316 finally succumbed to The Invasion's last line of defense: DaemonX! The Invasion figurehead tossed Rockey316 aside and got to work on The_Hurricane. The Superfriend was able to get a shot in, but DaemonX controlled his super-foe, setting up a sudden death face-off with Alliance leader AlbertBeefcake! The Beefer came in hard and strong, using a shock and awe offense to completely overwhelmed DaemonX! Victory for The Alliance!

3. CCShadow & Scott-Howell defeated Politics & Menas [+1]
Since their reunion at Tower of Power XVII, Politics & Menas have been on a charge back towards the top of the Duo Division contender ranks. They looked to make a big statement before the end of the year, following their extermination of MKR & blacksaibot at Supercard 86, taking on legendary combination of CCShadow & Scott-Howell! The challenge got very interesting as Supercard 87 played host to another hot Duo Division clash! CCShadow & Scott-Howell found the extra gear to earn the victory, but it was a significant competitive performance from Politics & Menas!

2. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix defeated Mark & Leroy in a hard fought match! [+1]
As one of the break-out teams of 2016, Jammer2Omega & Porygonix have developed a target on their backs as they emerge as contention prospects. For veteran combination Mark & Leroy, they were the perfect opponents to strike a final blow against the Duo Division ranks before the year ends! What started as an average ranking battle turned into a tooth & nail contest! The two teams proved incredibly evenly matched, fighting to the wire with J2O & Pory picking up a valuable win!

1. "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge defeated "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade [+1]
With war raging in The Great Arena, The Greek Crisis found themselves embroiled in the struggle against The Invasion. The bad blood goes back to the height of the European Union throughout June. After clashing with Jason_Voorhees & edge multiple times, they sought their final opportunity for retribution before year's end. They fought valiantly, but The Invasion pair were simply too strong.
