Jason_Voorhees Wants Title Match

As the world was transfixed by the Summer Olympic Games, Jason_Voorhees had his eyes firmly set on the gold of the KFL Championship. A one-on-one title bout was promised to him by Invasion officials booking Dead Or Alive IX -- but when he arrived for his match, he found himself scooped by returning interloper: m0s!

Jason_Voorhees still feels he's owed a clean shot at the KFL gold and will be granted one in the main event of next week's Monday Night Invasion! He'll once again enter The Great Arena to face "American Nightmare" of reigning 7-time champion LordSkarlet!

The match takes place next week - Monday, September 5th! Don't miss it!

The United Strike Back This Friday

After a brief hiatus for the 2016 Summer Grand Slam, the weekly Friday Night Fights will return on September 2nd! In a return double header, The United will be on the prowl for payback for events that took place at All-Star Summer Showdown -- seeking to divide and conquer in two main events!

Shoe will take on "The Predator" TonyTheTiger, while Artanix pursues "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile. All in the name of retribution for their friend and United ally Mime - who was the unsuspecting victim of a 2-on-1 ambush!

From their perspective, it was a retaliation for The United's use of numbers in the 2016 Royal Roulette match. TonyTheTiger and CaTigeReptile were among the few non-United fighters left at the end of the annual Battle Royal. Squeezed out by The United's four-man advantage, TTT & CTR formed an alliance to turn the tables!

Don't miss the twofer grudge match this week - Friday, September 2nd!

Monday Night Invasion (August 29, 2016)

Monday Night Invasion took a week off for the 2016 Summer Grand Slam tournament, but it was fall-out from the prior week's All-Star Summer Showdown that led to one of the most chaotic scenes since The Invasion's initial assault on The Great Arena!

It all started with PaganFreak entering the arena to confront former ally: Jauger. The Alliance fighter had shocked everyone at All-Star Summer Showdown when he helped The Invasion defeat The British Invasion. PaganFreak's emotional plea for answers erupted into a battle that left Jauger on the receiving end of a defeat. The violence drew out Violent`J, who revealed himself to be The Invasion's long rumored secret weapon earlier this month, at Dead Or Alive IX.

Violent`J helped Jauger turn the tables on PaganFreak with brutal efficiency, joining him for a 2-on-1 assault. Alliance Superfriends AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane rushed out to make the save for their teammate. The reset 2-on-2 fight resulted in a more fair exchange, but still Violent`J & Jauger were too strong for The Alliance!

PaganFreak recovered to turn the fight into a 3-on-2 situation. The development started Invasion fighters running out to make the save: Banging, Loopster, TripleH, The_Rock, and another All-Star Summer Showdown convert: Shen_DuHBK! Their appearance provoked a further flood of warriors as an all-out melee erupted! Running in were: Statix, Rockey316, MattHardy, Ghrimm, chaos_Drone, Chromatose, Nephrite, "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade, Sgtf, "The British Exit" ShawnMichaels, Liam & nif, and The Great Genku!

The brawl clearly saw the collapse of The European Union as proXade took out Nephrite! Invasion fighter MattHardy scored a couple of eliminations on beleaguered PaganFreak and Europe's Sgtf. Violent`J stepped up to destroy maxilos, and clearly didn't get the memo that Shen_DuHBK is back with The Invasion! Banging took out The British exile ShawnMichaels! Then Alliance legend Statix rose up to take out Violent`J in a moment that sent the different sides withdrawing.

An unbelievable night of action on Monday Night Invasion!

Monday Night Invasion: Week 25 (August 29, 2016):
4. An unofficial 24-fighter Battle Royal Melee resulted in 7 eliminations:
- 1. proXade elim. Nephrite

Weekly Rankings Recap - 8/28/2016

A massive Summer Season finally comes to a close with an unbelievably strong finish in the 2016 Summer Grand Slam! The man called ElJobber ascends to the top of the league ranks with his second Grand Slam Tournament win for 2016. He also declared his entry into the annual Night of Champions Battle Royal! He's the second fighter to enter the one-night title quest, joining Kron in the September gathering of former Undisputed Champions!

Seven champs made it to the Quarter Finals of Tournament 73, including reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION, Runner-Up and Royal Roulette winner Hokey, failed All-Star Summer Showdown challenger The Great Genku, living league legend Ratt, the champion's eliminator Mimik, and title predator TonyTheTiger! The odd man out in the Quarters was Politics! His phenomenal run may have been ended by eventual winner ElJobber, but his performance impressed all the right people. Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Finals

In recent tournament memory, no Grand Slam event had finished with such a compelling group of Semi Finalists! Seven former Undisputed Champions became four in a set of Quarter Finals that failed to produce any one favourite! There was the perennial all-time great, the proven 2016 tournament winners, and the fighters peaking at the right time. In the end, it was the somewhat unexpected dark horse that claimed the 2016 Summer Grand Slam!

As the defending 2016 Mid-Year Grand Slam tournament winner, and perhaps the greatest fighter of all time: Ratt had good reason to be most people's prediction to win Tournament 73! Unfortunately for him, old arch-rival Hokey is in the midst of having one of the greatest runs of his career! The 2016 Royal Roulette winner put past disappointments behind him, bamboozling Ratt with complete control over the match! Ratt couldn't find any way into the fight as Hokey dominated to a soft finish!

There was nothing soft about ElJobber's arrival in the Semi Finals! A fairly uninspiring draw left ElJobber mostly tested throughout the tournament. It had many overlooking him as any kind of threat -- overshadowed by amazing wins, like Mimik's Quarter Final victory over reigning Undisputed Champion: DECEPTION! All critics were quickly silenced as the fresh blitzed Mimik right out of the gates -- completely destroying The United fighter from start to finish!

It would be up to Hokey to avenge his fallen comrade, against an opponent with whom he had his own grievances. In January, Hokey lost the Undisputed Championship to ElJobber at Supercard 74: Battle Royale - eventually leading to his controversial expulsion from The United! Hokey excised the grudge at Supercard 79, but fate had plans to bring them together again. The resulting battle - as good a finish to a Grand Slam final as any in recent memory! ElJobber was just too fresh, too motivated, and with too much momentum!

As he celebrated his second Grand Slam crown for 2016 - ElJobber looked to the future! He turned his attention to the Undisputed Champion DECEPTION, whose reign at the top he pointed out began with him - and will end with him at Supercard 83: Night of Champions V!

As a 3-time former Undisputed Champion, ElJobber will be eligible to enter the annual Contender Battle Royal to earn a one-night return match for the gold! If that's what he means, he'll be joining Kron in the September 25th match - the Hall of Famer declaring his entry at All-Star Summer Showdown, earlier this month. Another bombshell finish reminiscent of the Mid-Year Final!

Tournament 73: 2016 Summer Grand Slam - Semi Finals:

2. United: Hokey defeated Ratt in a comprehensive victory! [+2]

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Quarters

The top two seeds were taken out as the 2016 Summer Grand Slam exploded into a crescendo of competitive Quarter Finals action! Seven Undisputed Champions made-up a bracket of eight finalists -- the strongest conclusion to a Grand Slam Tournament in recent memory!

The biggest bombshell of the day was the fall of current Undisputed Champion: DECEPTION! The Canadian Olympic hero knew he was taking a gamble by chasing the Summer Grand Slam crown, and it finally caught up with him in the Quarters! It's been a long time since United: Mimik has fought for Undisputed gold. His only reign came way back in 2011! With this win, and the upcoming Night of Champions Battle Royal offering former champs a chance to challenge again -- suddenly the Hall of Fame King of the Battle Royal looks like a very compelling title challenger!

Mimik won't be the only title chasing member of The United in the Semi Finals! Royal Roulette winner Hokey showed The Great Genku he had good reason to fear his potential insertion into the top title picture! Genku's paranoia led him to join The Invasion in August, enlisting his new allies to keep his title bid safe from United interference. He ultimately lost at All-Star Summer Showdown, and suffered yet another bitter defeat in the long awaited meeting with the object of his paranoia. As former Undisputed Champions - both will be eligible for the annual Night of Champions Contender Battle Royal. A scenario that could give Hokey a double-chance thanks to his Royal Roulette win, and the right to challenge for any title whenever he chooses!

To win the Summer Grand Slam tournament, Hokey will have to defeat 2016 Mid-Year Grand Slam winner and old rival: Ratt! The all-time great was ultimately unfazed by TonyTheTiger, who had many believing a second Hall of Fame elimination could be within his means! He defeated Ratt's nemesis Violent`J in the Third Round, and emerged a tournament favourite with a big Round 4 win over Div.2 Champion Benjamin. It would've been a delicious Semi Final, given TTT's Royal Roulette spawned grievances with Hokey & The United! As the old saying goes: To be The Man, you've gotta beat The Ratt. A feat not many warriors have achieved!

Politics was also unable to produce an upset. His phenomenal run through the Summer Grand Slam exceeded all expectations, but after a grueling Summer Olympics, it was a bridge too far to beat tournament veteran: ElJobber. The first Grand Slam Tournament winner of 2016 remains a dark horse, but with one of the more unimpressive draws through the bracket, it's hard to say if he'll be fresh for the Semi Finals -- or too untested!

There can only be one 2016 Summer Grand Slam winner! Two Hall of Famers! Two 2016 Grand Slam Tournament winners! Four former Undisputed Champions! Sunday promises to be one helluva race to the finish and an epic prelude to September's Supercard 83: Night of Champions V! Be here!

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Round 4

With September's Night of Champions V looming on the horizon, it was fitting that seven of the eight advancing Summer Grand Slam fighters were former Undisputed Champions! Only Politics broke the pattern, escalating his Summer Olympic Silver Medal duo feats to a new level of solo success! He's been fighting to honor his fallen comrade Menas, and is sure to do him proud when he enters hostile territory in tomorrow's Quarter Finals!

Politics will face ElJobber, who came face-to-face with his aptly named 2015 soldier: Corrupt MINION! As one of several corrupted souls making up "Lucifer's Ladder", MINION helped his master destroy the KFL sub-league. ElJobber showed no loyalty or mercy toward his former pawn, delivering a devastating +21 impact! A brutal defeat that returns Corrupt MINION to an uncertain future.

"The Predator" TonyTheTiger's future seems much more certain. His expected win over Division 2 Champion Benjamin came with hard hitting impact, and further cemented him as an emerging favourite to win Tournament 73! He'll face what could be his greatest test in the Quarter Finals - 2016 Mid-Year Grand Slam winner Ratt looking to make it back-to-back Grand Slam Tournament wins after a good win over Artanix! He's the greatest of all time, but TTT is in rare form!

Royal Roulette winner Hokey has been an emerging contender to the Undisputed Championship, and may be the second favourite to win Tournament 73. He faced down old nemesis VenoMark, earning a solid win in the best match of the round! It sets up a compelling grudge bout against The Great Genku, whose pre-title shot paranoia fuelled August conflict between The Invasion and The United in the lead-up to All-Star Summer Showdown! Hokey will finally be able to justify Genku's fear - but who will channel their aggressions to make it to the Semi Final?

We'll find out tomorrow, when United: Mimik also comes face-to-face with the reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION! The champ risks embarrassment by competing in the grueling tournament format. For Hall of Famer Mimik, it's an opportunity to remind everyone he's a former Undisputed Champion! An incredible Quarter Final line-up - tomorrow!

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Round 3

The relative calm of the first two rounds was blown apart as Round 3 of the 2016 Summer Grand Slam produced some high level contests, high impact finishes, and some of the biggest upsets of the tournament thus far!

The biggest shocker of the round was LordSkarlet experiencing his own "American Nightmare" in a shocking +27 demolition! The KFL Champion capitulated against deadpool having survived tough challenges from The_Hurricane and NovaStarr in the previous rounds. United: Shoe was also a completely unexpected victim, losing to Brexit Duo fighter Liam!

Three hard fought matches electrified the arena with Supercard caliber competitive evenness. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger made his case for favourite status with a great win over Hall of Fame Duo Division champion Violent`J! TTT's co-conspirator against The United wasn't as fortunate - "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile unable to get past #2 seed: Genku! A similar story for Statix, who put forward a powerful challenge, but couldn't beat the harden attack of Steel Cage survivor VenoMark!

Factions had a big role to play on Day 4 of Tournament 73! Genku supplied the only good news for The Invasion in the Third Round. Politics really impressed with his victory over Invasion loudmouth Loopster! Fan-favourite Hall of Famer and 2016 Mid-Year Grand Slam winner Ratt got an introduction to The Invasion's leader DaemonX, claiming a strong win. Ratt's Mid-Year finals opponent and rival Violent`J: the biggest R3 loss for The Invasion!

The United lost team leader Shoe, but kept strength in numbers with Hokey comfortably destroying ShawnMichaels, Mimik ending Jerrod's post-Olympics dream run, and Artanix solid against Div.2 hopeful Murdoink. Fifth member Mime didn't enter the draw after suffering a 2-on-1 beat down at All-Star Summer Showdown, but with three high caliber fighters, they could still dominate the tournament the way they dominated this year's Royal Roulette match!

Reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION kept his streak alive, as did Division 2 Champion Benjamin. Both will face dangerous opponents in Round 4! Chromatose has the potential to create an upset against the top champ. TonyTheTiger will have favourite status against the Div.2 pinnacle, fighting above the unofficial 5000gs Div.2 cut-off!

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Round 2

Round 2 of the 2016 Summer Grand Slam brought the pain, escalating the impact of defeats after a relatively moderate first round! There were three MAX Damage results, inflicted by a trio of top contenders!

Perhaps most devastatingly, CaTigeReptile destroyed Argentinian Olympian marianokombat - adding him to the growing casualties list! #2 seed The Great Genku reversed UlcaTron's impressive Round 1 win with extreme prejudice! The round ending twofer sets up a compelling final match for the Third Round, where CaTigeReptile will face The Great Genku!

Hall of Famer Ratt also dominated Duo star Jammer2Omega to a devastating MAX finish. J2O's partner Porygonix faced equally unenviable odds coming in to the Second Round, but produced an amazing upset by defeating The_Purple_Bunny! Most of the major heavyweights progressed to Round 3, but King Ken was ushered out at the hands of ElJobber. The man they call "Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile went out to The United's newest weapon Mimik!

A cavalcade of stars walk into Round 3! None of the competing champions was embarrassed, with reigning Undisputed Champion and #1 seed DECEPTION leading the charge for: KFL Champ LordSkarlet, Duo Division Champ Violent`J, and Division 2 Champ Benjamin! Royal Roulette winner Hokey is also shaping up to be a name to watch, with his win over Baraka_MK.

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Day 2

Day 2 of the 2016 Summer Grand Slam upped the ante - revealing a deposit of big name contenders in the second half of the randomly drawn bracket! The stakes were raised from Day 1, matching with two champions and an extra Hall of Famer in the field!

Ratt and Violent`J met in the final of June's Mid-Year Grand Slam, but in Tournament 73 they'll only get as far as the Quarter Finals before they have to settle old scores! If they do, Ratt will be on course to be the stronger of the two - executing a potent +5 finish against Zentile!

#2 seed The Great Genku came in with a lot to prove, and it was an unlucky ]{0MBAT who was drawn to help him do just that. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile also maintained her bad mood from All-Star Summer Showdown, delivering the biggest impact of the tournament thus far: a hellacious +25 demolition of legoslayer10! Ally against The United: "The Predator" TonyTheTiger kept a more modest pace, eliminating "Greek Crisis" fighter maxilos for +3.

VenoMark showed no ill effects from his grueling Steel Cage Fight at All-Star Summer Showdown. The same couldn't be said for his opponent - Damo! "The Chosen One" was among the fighters who chose to miss the Summer Grand Slam, unable to compete just one day after a brutal defeat! A small handful of competitors were missing after the Supercard, including DArqueBishop and m0s.

One fighter who would not miss his tournament opportunity was Poasty! Having just returned from a career threatening injury, he made an enthusiastic appearance at his first Grand Slam of the year -- only to go out at the hands of United: Shoe! A bittersweet moment for the former Division 2 Champion! Good news for the reigning Div.2 Champ, though. He endured a gutsy effort from Nephrite to advance to the Second Round! Ousted champ avenger45 was a somewhat surprising exit, taken out by rising Duo Division star Jammer2Omega!

Other fighters turning heads with their victories: United: Hokey, United: ArtanixDaemonX, ShawnMichaels, Baraka_MK, Murdoink, Sekktor, Jauger and UlcaTron. Alliance legend Statix also faced AlbertBeefcake in a surprising twist. The pair fought to the finish of the All-Star Summer Showdown Battle Royal, and found themselves pitted against one another two days later. Albo once again showed his respect, impressed by his ally's victory!

Tournament 73: Summer Grand Slam - Day 1

With no time to recover from all the action of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games and All-Star Summer Showdown -- the first half of the randomly drawn Summer Grand Slam tournament bracket entered The Great Arena! Leading them was reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION, whose bold choice to enter the final Grand Slam event of 2016 once again proved he's a fighting champion and a worthy face of The New Generation dominating competition this year!

DECEPTION's entry as #1 seed was rewarded with a big win over kingjolly. The Summer Grand Slam boasts only two seeds situated at the bottom and top of the brackets. The Great Genku will get a chance to redeem his All-Star Summer Showdown championship loss on Day 2 as the #2 seed!

Another champion got a taste of the risks that come with entering a 128-fighter bracket - the reigning KFL Champion! "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet faced Alliance superstar The_Hurricane in a grueling match that extended him much farther than he would've liked for a First Round encounter. As a Semi Finalist in the Mid-Year Grand Slam, LordSkarlet will be looking to go deep into this event to cap off his rise from The Fallen!

The only Hall of Famer competing on Day 1 also produced the most severe impact, United: Mimik strong in his victory over deadly. Other favourites picking up wins on the first day of the tournament: The_Purple_Bunny, ElJobber, King KenLoopster, Scott-Howell and Chromatose. Olympians impressed on Day 1: ArtemisFlow and shin scored surprising big wins. Politics and Jerrod continued their hot streak from the Games.

Sadly, not all fighters made it out of the first grueling contest. Canadian Bronze Medalist xtactics was left in bad shape by his run at the games. He was dominated by "Bad Bad" Leroy, sending him to the growing Incapacitated List.

Weekly Rankings Recap - 8/21/2016

It's been a very unique month, reaching its apex of action in the last seven days! It all culminated with the concluding medal matches of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, leading straight in to this year's long anticipated All-Star Sumer Showdown! It was a slightly unconventional build for the Summer Supercard, but most matches delivered something special at the second biggest major of the year!

With his two gold medals, "The Chosen One" Damo was arguably the biggest gainer in terms of rankings. Benjamin asserted himself as well, as both a member of The Dream Team (USA), and a returning Division 2 Champion! Politics has been fighting solo in the memory of Menas for two months now, honoring him exceptionally well by breaking into the Top 10!

Damo may've made an impact through Olympic team bouts, but he was all alone at All-Star Summer Showdown when he suffered a brutal defeat. A violent Steel Cage Fight took a few chunks out of VenoMark, even though he walked away the victor. His Olympic Battle Royal elimination of impressive reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION will set him up as one of several former champs on the hunt for the title at Supercard 83: Night of Champions V! After his big win, Kron formally made it known he'll enter the contender battle royal. ElJobber and Hokey are also likely to ride big wins toward the one-night title quest. The Great Genku will inevitably seek the opportunity to get another shot after disappointing in the All-Star Summer Showdown main event.

Indeed, the Undisputed Championship race keeps getting more crowded -- while the surprise win for "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J keeps them in a league of their own as Duo Division Champs! The most compelling title arguments belong to fresh 2-on-2 prospect "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo, and perennial contenders: "The United" Shoe & Artanix!

Sadly, the Duos will have to wait their turn. August has been a dizzying month for action and it isn't quite done! The schedule will be cleared this week to make way for Tournament 73: 2016 Summer Grand Slam -- the final 128 fighter tournament for the year! Reigning Undisputed Champion DECEPTION and rival Genku will enter the randomized bracket as #1 and #2 seeds, fighting for the prestigious honor of claiming the Summer Grand Slam crown! Stay tuned for full coverage!

Supercard 82: All-Star Summer Showdown

Every year the heat of battle goes nova as the biggest names in Great Arena history gather for All-Star Summer Showdown! A jam packed August had already delivered an unprecedented build-up to the annual major. With the 2016 Summer Olympic Games ending just one day before -- this year's event was exploding before it even began! It was the biggest Supercard of action ever, bulging with a history Duo Division Championship match, the first-ever Steel Cage Fight in the Summer, grudge matches galore, and a main event Undisputed Championship match bursting with anticipation! A summer celebration we won't soon forget!

16. "The Hitman" DECEPTION (c) defeated The Great Genku in a comprehensive victory! [+4] [Undisputed Championship]
A championship preview told the tale of the tape and prepared everyone for a hotly anticipated Summer Showdown main event! There were many near-misses on The Great Genku's journey back to the Undisputed Championship. At Supercard 81: Royal Roulette, he was forced to re-secure the title shot he'd lost just two days prior! As he embarked on a journey to the Summer Olympic Games, paranoia set in, prompting him to join The Invasion in exchange for their services in occupying United: Hokey -- whose Royal Roulette win granted him a title challenge at the time of his choosing! During Day 7 of the Games, Genku met DECEPTION during the 5-man team event and eliminated him! A preview of things to come at All-Star Summer Showdown, or so it seemed.

Though DECEPTION could not win Gold for his country, he arrived to Supercard 82 more than ready to defend his gold - the Undisputed Championship! As he's done since winning the title at Supercard 76, DECEPTION proved he truly is a "New Generation" of championship fighter! He was the picture of a confident champion, while Genku stumbled at the final hurdle. Wild and unfocused, Genku's attack completely fell apart after months of fighting to get here. It was a clinical dissection as "The Hitman" DECEPTION completed the set -- adding a main event title defense at All-Star Summer Showdown to his Ultimate Grand Prix IV win!

Baraka_MK & Onryo returned to The Great Arena spotlight to share the celebration with their New Generation teammate. A joyous picture that left Genku scowling as he retreated into the darkness a defeated man. DECEPTION adds another legendary name to the list of title challengers he's beaten, but on September 25th, those many ghosts will return to haunt him as Supercard 83: Night of Champions V brings former title holders together to compete for a same night title match!

15. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) defeated Ratt & NightHawk [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
For an unparalleled 301 days, "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J have reigned as unbeatable Duo Division Champions. No combination in history has come close to their dominance, but one lone team has proven they can be defeated: Ratt & NightHawk! That single loss came at last year's All-Star Summer Showdown and set up one of the most exciting title defenses in their historic run! Adding more fuel to the fire: Violent`J's emergence at DOAIX as The Invasion's secret weapon -- something Marz knew nothing about, and wants nothing to do with! They were a team fractured, facing their greatest threat - but the one thing that binds Marz & Violent`J together is their desire to be the greatest! Ratt had the confidence of his original challenge, which came when he beat Violent`J in the final of the Mid-Year Grand Slam. Against any other team, Ratt & NightHawk likely would have been victorious. Though they were clearly not at their impossible best, Team Xtreme remain a formidable pairing! They endured the hard hitting challenge and rose to the occasion! Somehow, in spite of the last 301 days, all in attendance managed to be shocked as Team Xtreme once again defended the Duo Division Championship! An epic victory that ensures their names run deeper in Great Arena lore, taking them a step closer to the ultimate dream of becoming the first champions to maintain their reign for a full calendar year - 365 days! A stunning All-Star Summer moment!

14. VenoMark defeated "The Chosen One" Damo in a harrowing battle! [-2/-9] [Steel Cage Fight]
The ominous vision of the descending steel cage sent a cool chill through The Great Arena. Lowering for just the fourth time; the construct has earned a fast reputation for being an environmental weapon -- something VenoMark was counting on! It all started over a disputed title shot in May, and has grown into one of the most bitter rivalries of 2016! Over months of sniping, the self-proclaimed "Chosen One" Damo has ultimately had the better of VenoMark. A fact VenoMark cannot reconcile with! Intent on vanquishing the monkey on his back - VenoMark rushed in where angels feared to tread! The dangerous tactic paying off! VenoMark's familiarity with the steel confines paid off as he introduced Damo to a metallic hell! The brutality wasn't exclusively one-way. VenoMark tasted the bitter pain inflicted by unmoving steel, as well. He simply endured! When the match was over, VenoMark looked like a defeated man -- but he was still standing. Something "The Chosen One" could not say! Another huge victory at All-Star Summer Showdown!

13. ElJobber defeated m0s in a complete demolition! [+10]
For m0s, the long and winding road to All-Star Summer Showdown stretched all the way back to early last year! When he relinquished control of the Kombat Fight League, he began a downward spiral that condemned it to destruction! Though he sought a similar goal, he blamed ElJobber for betraying his legacy. This grudge exploded at Ultimate Grand Prix VI and again during Friday Night Fights. Unsuccessful in his efforts, m0s surprised everyone by quitting! While away, his loathing festered, until at Dead Or Alive IX he made a surprise return -- and issued his bitter challenge! He aimed to punish ElJobber for his brother Knickxasawrrrr's demise at Supercard 79. To destroy his world and beat him to a pulp. Grand designs for a warrior's personal social justice that would never come to pass. ElJobber was stubborn. m0s was out practice. The blitz of his return had left m0s with no reserve. Emotion and disdain not enough to achieving anything. The result, a destruction that should have ended a very different way.

12. Kron defeated The_Purple_Bunny [+1]
Discontent fuelled The_Purple_Bunny leading in to All-Star Summer Showdown. His inability to permanently reclaim the Undisputed Championship has plagued him. Though he held it briefly after a win at Supercard 79: Purple Reign, he has obsessively dwelled on his failure at Battle Royale -- a match he felt he was destined to win! The man responsible for diverting this fate is well known to him. The Hall of Famer who won the Battle Royale match and an old rival - Kron! The chance to feast on a cold revenge motivated TPB as much as rising above a Hall of Famer, and correcting his shocking Olympic failure. A good redemption -- but another fate out of reach! The_Purple_Bunny threw much of his arsenal at Kron, but the Hall of Famer had returned refresh! With an answer for every attack, the Hall of Famer claimed a well earned victory! He wasn't quite finish there, though.

After the match, Kron declared he's still got it, still wants it, and intends to get another shot at it in September, by entering the Night of Champions Contender Battle Royal! The annual tradition brings former Undisputed Champions together to fight for the right to challenge the champion. Considering Kron has won the event three times before -- he could be in store for a rematch with DECEPTION! Unless, of course, record setting six-time former champion The_Purple_Bunny has something to say about it! Supercard 83: Night of Champions V will take place September 25th.

11. United: Hokey defeated DArqueBishop in a solid grudge victory. [+1]
When Hokey lost the Undisputed Championship at the start of the year, it was a night of legendary despair for The United at Supercard 74: Battle Royale! In their alarm, they turned to a new leader to manage the team back to the top: DArqueBishop! He saw many ways to improve The United's position, and after UGP he controversially fired Hokey from the team! After months apart, the team conspired to reorganize, though, surprising everyone during the Royal Roulette match! Furious - DArqueBishop succeeded in levelling the score with his traitorous Pre-Show 81 recruit, Mimik, at Dead Or Alive IV. At All-Star Summer Showdown, he would welcome the challenge of the fighter he didn't believe gives his all. Hokey may have been highly motivated, but indeed, he could not muster his fullest assault! It was a down and dirty fight, both dragging each other into the mud. DAB took it to the limit, but in the end, Hokey was the better man. A poignant victory for the man who is now free to use his Royal Roulette opportunity to challenge for his lost championship whenever he likes!

10. "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet (c) defeated "American Dream" Scott-Howell in a competitive encounter. [+1] [KFL Championship]
On July 4thScott-Howell tried to change things for the better by bestowing a legacy upon "The Fallen" LordSkarlet. Instead of embracing the "American Dream" - LS spat it right back in Howell's face! The mind games continued at Pre-Show 81, disrupting CCShadow & Scott-Howell's attempts at winning Duo Gold. Enough to convince Scott-Howell to be the "American Dream" one more time to try to teach the new KFL Champion a lesson in respect! He was coming off the dream of representing his country and sharing a Gold Medal at the Summer Olympic Games, but Scott-Howell couldn't have anticipated the "American Nightmare" he was walking into! Even so, he gave The Fallen a reason to be concerned. As one of the great KFL Champions, Howell was able to muster a gutsy effort in his return to the solo ranks. It just wasn't quite enough! LordSkarlet's Pre-Show 82 title win may be considered ill gotten gains, but after reclaiming the belt from an ambush by m0s, he's proven that the American Nightmare is only just beginning!

9. United: Mimik defeated Loopster in convincing fashion! [+3]
The tension between boastful Invader Loopster and The United's Hall of Fame recruit Mimik has been building since late July. A duo attack was a prelude to the war between factions that was about to explode. While The Invasion caused trouble for The United; the personal feud escalated when Loopster earned a stinging upset victory on August 1st! Things went from bad to worse for Mimik when The Invasion used DArqueBishop to rake him over the coals at Dead Or Alive IX, while Loopster was busy with the Olympics. The +16 impact had Mimik in bad shape heading into All-Star Summer Showdown, but with Loopster finally in his grasp, he let it all out! Loopster did his best to fight, but the Hall of Famer rose to the occasion -- finally earning a convincing win!

8. "The United" Shoe & Artanix defeated "The Invasion" DaemonX & Banging in a solid win. [+1]
The war between The Invasion and The United was ignited by a pact of protection, forged by new Invasion recruit Genku. As The United successfully rebuked The Invasion's attacks, the conflict became more bitter -- escalating into an outright dislike when Shoe defeated DaemonX at Dead Or Alive IX! With Banging and Artanix returned from the Summer Olympics; DaemonX thought he could escalate his attack in a more comfortable format, but he clearly under estimated the seasoned excellence of The United! It was far from a one-sided battle, but Shoe & Artanix were able to combine to once again issue defeat to the notorious Invasion! Muscle that need never have been hired, given the security of Genku's title match in the night's main event.

7. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger & "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile defeated United: Mime in a shocking 2-on-1 decimation! [+5]
Heading in to All-Star Summer Showdown, most assumed the unattached CaTigeReptile would factor somewhere in to the Summer Battle Royal. Instead, she made a shocking appearance as an unannounced ally to "The Predator" TonyTheTiger! CTR had suffered the same frustrating fate at Royal Roulette, where the reformed United used numbers to dominate the final stages of the Battle Royal match! It led to TTT issuing a challenge for United: Mime -- a challenge that was apparently a ruse to turn the tables on one of their dominators! The two-on-one advantage absolutely annihilated Mime, who was lucky to get away with only a +5 impact! A result that stunned everyone!

6. The Invasion defeated The British Invasion in a Survival Sequence! [5-4]
1. TripleH (Invasion) elim. AcidicWonder (Brexit)
2. Ironize (Brexit) elim. TripleH (Invasion)
3. Ironize (Brexit) elim. Jauger (Invasion)
4. Ironize (Brexit) elim. Shen_DuHBK (Invasion)
5. edge (Invasion) elim. Ironize (Brexit)
6. nif (Brexit) elim. edge (Invasion)
7. Jason_Voorhees (Invasion) elim. nif (Brexit)
8. Jason_Voorhees (Invasion) elim. Liam (Brexit)
9. Jason_Voorhees (Invasion) elim. ShawnMichaels (Brexit)
Survivor: Jason_Voorhees

ShawnMichaels crossed enemy borders to challenge his former allies in The Invasion on the 1st of August. The tensions go back to Pre-Show 81: The British Exit, where ShawnMichaels' involvement in the break from Europe blew up in his face! He was exiled from the group as DaemonX staged a coup to reorganize The Invasion! With DaemonX tied up by other grudges; The British Exit seemed poised to claim sweet revenge against the group who shunned them! Ironize stepped up early, obliterating The Invasion's opening lines that included two shocking additions: Alliance fighter Jauger, and European Unionist Shen_DuHBK! "The Italian Cyclone" was considered the difference that cost ShawnMichaels his post at Pre-Show 81, but he could only tire Ironize out for edge. That gave way to an epic back-and-forth struggle with nif, whose impressive Day 5 run at the Summer Olympics may've given him confidence. It looked like the day was won for The British Invasion, but Jason_Voorhees began a come-from-behind slaughter that ripped effortlessly through both Liam & nif! ShawnMichaels came out confidently, but couldn't faze the determined Invader! A shocking turn of events that once again condemns The British Exit to humiliation and defeat!

5. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo defeated Jammer2Omega & Porygonix [+1]
With their reformation early in the year; "The New Generation" were anointed the trio to rule over  2016! Baraka_MK & Onryo have asserted themselves as one of the major players in the Duo Division - a benchmark not yet surpassed by up-and-coming #1 ranked team: Jammer2Omega & Porygonix! This fast rising tandem forged their alliance this time last year, earning each other's respect in a memorable Division 2 title bout! They dedicated themselves to becoming a great duo, earning a Bronze Medal at the Summer Olympic Games! Having tested themselves against The New Generation at June's Pre-Show 80, many felt it should've been BMK & Onryo representing the USA. Some will feel those beliefs were validated by All-Star Summer Showdown, where Baraka_MK & Onryo picked up a win. That said, it was clear to see J2O & Porygonix are closing the gap! It was not nearly as easy a win as their last meeting! Improvement the Bronze Medalists can take to heart!

4. Poasty defeated G0LD in a solid comeback victory! [+1]
A hush spread -- to be broken by a tremendous roar as Poasty made his anticipated return to The Great Arena! The last time he competed, he was on top of the world - overcoming the odds at Pre-Show 80 to beat Genku for the Division 2 Championship! The drama of a career threatening injury has been well documented. The miracle return: appropriately announced at Dead Or Alive! He faced the challenge of an unknown, matched against G0LD! Since losing in a big debut at Royal Roulette, G0LD has lived up to the hype, going undefeated! It took some effort, but Poasty was able to end the streak. A big win to celebrate Poasty's return to the fighting ranks!

3. Benjamin defeated avenger45 (c) in a hard fought match! [+1] [Division 2 Championship]
Both fighters would enter the Division 2 Championship match with a lot on their mind. Just two days prior: Benjamin was winning Gold for Team USA at the Summer Olympic Games, while avenger45 was forced into a last minute title defense against SubScorpTile! avenger45 was a surprise first-time winner of the vacant title in July's Tournament 69. He briefly dropped the title to SST at Dead Or Alive IX, but quickly reclaimed it. He'd endured significant tests, but Benjamin has been hungry for the title since losing it in April! avenger45 impressed, meeting Benjamin in an incredibly evenly fought match! No shame as he relinquishes the gold to a three-time champion!

An eclectic mix of warriors entered the Summer Elimination Battle Royal, many of which were just returning from their stint at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games!

Jerrod excited everyone with his Olympic team eliminations on Day 7 and Day 14 of the Games. Fitting that he was the first to score an elimination, upsetting Day 15 Gold Medalist Kiara85 in a sudden takedown!

King Ken broke a drought of three minutes, upsetting Jerrod's Canadian teammate KittyKat for the second elimination! It began a succession of defeats as a third Canuck, Politics, got involved with in a breakdown amongst the European Union that ultimately cost Sgtf and Zentile their tenure!

Ken and Politics continued to cut through the action, riding their early momentum. Politics chopped down Corrupt hydraslash -- his "Fallen" teammate UlcaTron standing idle as he was battered by other fighters. UlcaTron lasted a little longer, but soon exited at the hands of Hall of Famer and Olympic Battle Royal Bronze Medalist - Rockey316!

The Alliance's AlbertBeefcake made an impact by taking the Politics out of the Summer Battle Royal. Murdoink followed with the elimination of "The Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile: payback for his loss at Pre-Show 82: Heat Up Scramble! Satisfaction that couldn't last long - The_Hurricane sweeping Murdoink, Jerrod and CCShadow out of the match in a two minute storm!

Nephrite stunned the world by eliminating its king: Ken! Alliance fighter Statix finally made his way into the match right after, eliminating Nephrite! Statix weathered a lot of team-ups over the course of the match, enduring against tremendous adversity with the help of his Alliance friends. AlbertBeefcake and The_Hurricane gave Statix a break from the action, taking out Chromatose and "The Apprentice" DeathScepter to set up an ICWW laden final four!

The competition fostered friendly rivalry as the remaining quartet set about testing each other's mettle! Statix showed he still had plenty in the tank! Taking some hard shots, he managed to wear down The_Hurricane and then quickly upset Rockey316! AlbertBeefcake looked fresh as the last two squared off, exchanging shots in a mad dash to claim supremacy. It took nearly five minutes, but in the end, Statix stood tall! AlbertBeefcake paying full respect to the better man with a heart "rar"!

2016 Summer Olympic Games - Day 15

Day 15 of the Summer Olympics brought the 2016 Games to a close with a sense of fun and festivity. Medals in the Trios and Battle Royal matches brought back many of the fighters who'd represented their nation in other events at these Games. A final farewell to competitive carnival of countries that makes the Olympics such a joyous occasion!

New Zealand surprised as they fought their way to a second Gold Medal with a dominant outing in the Trios! The team experience and synchronicity of "Service Krew" affiliates Damo & Kiara85, and Banging produced a shock comprehensive win over Team USA! A perfect compliment to Damo and Banging's Duo Gold Medal from Day 13!

In the Bronze Medal fight, Team Great Britain were kept out of the final medal tally in a hard fought battle with Team Canada! Break out Survival Sequence fighter Jerrod led an untested combination of Shadaloo & Torchia to pick up second Bronze of the Games!

In the long awaited Battle Royal event, fifteen of the world's best fighters came to contest a fight to the finish. Portugal's Zentile made a splash with the first two eliminations - but paid for his hubris with a successive elimination at the hands of Italian Cyclone Shen_DuHBK! Great Britain's Dez-Burnett bounced back from his Trios disappointment with a couple of good eliminations. By the mid-way point, it was clear who was taking control. 2015 Royal Roulette winner VenoMark made his push for the Gold Medal early and hard! Chromatose began a toppling of fighters down to the final three! Indian Hall of Fame favourite Rockey316 had managed an early elimination of UAE's Intel -- fighting in tribute to Day 8 casualty jaytea -- but ran out of steam, taking Bronze. Undisputed Champion DECEPTION was clearly the biggest contender in VenoMark's way. The two waged a back and forth war that had everybody caught up in the teeter-totter of control! VenoMark managed to score successive heavy hits, turning the tide in his favour. In a huge finish - VenoMark wins Gold!

A thrilling end to what has been an incredible two weeks of action at the 2016 Olympic Games!

Be here tomorrow as competition returns to normal and The Great Arena plays host to the biggest event of the season! Sunday is All-Star Summer Showdown where Olympic Gold Medalist The Great Genku challenges Undisputed Champion DECEPTION in a hotly anticipated main event! It promises to be a showcase of the greatest and a culmination of one of the most action packed Summers on record!

Summer Championship Preview: Genku vs DECEPTION

It's the Supercard of the Summer! All-Star Summer Showdown is finally here - and one of its most anticipated matches will be the long awaited Undisputed Championship clash!

The long, winding road to contention has brought The Great Genku back for his third Summer main event! He secured the title shot in a contenders match at Supercard 81: Royal Roulette, but that only happened after VenoMark snatched away the opportunity on the July 22nd Friday Night Fights! The experience ingrained a deep paranoia in Genku, who made a deal with the devil - The Invasion - to prevent Royal Roulette winner Hokey from stealing this title shot, as well!

2016 has been the year of Undisputed Champion DECEPTION! The Hitman's path to the top began at Battle Royale, where he made an unannounced return from his 2015 Survivor Sequence Iron Man Death Match loss to Hokey. He quickly followed it up with a star making four eliminations in Tower of Power XV - falling shot in the final battle! A rematch saw him claim his first Undisputed title with a win against ElJobber at Supercard 76: Ratt in a Cage! He then proved it was far from a fluke by beating Kron in the main event of Ultimate Grand Prix VI! He continued his wins against a who's who of former champions: The_Purple_BunnyTonyTheTiger, and VenoMark!

Now the champ hopes to add another accomplished name to his list! The omens are undecided on who the fates will favour! In five years, the Undisputed Championship has only changed hands once at the All-Star Summer Showdown! Yet Genku is on a Summer Streak with three straight wins at an event that has long been one of his best! Genku also has a team elimination over DECEPTION, earned on Day 7 of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games!

It's any one's match to win! Genku is an accomplished veteran catching up on long sought accolades. DECEPTION is the New Generation figurehead whose era has just begun!
