Day 9 belonged to the odds-on favourites as the Solo and 3way Olympic Events set up some exciting Medal matches for the final week of the Games!
The_Purple_Bunny put himself and The USA right at the top of the predictive ladders as he earned a confident victory over Mime! He'll go in to a Semi Final clash with Hall of Famer Shamrock with heavy favourite status! Australia's ElJobber did well enough to earn a solid win over trans-tasman rival "Chosen One" Damo, relegating New Zealand's hopes to the Duo and Trio events. ElJobber will go on to the Semi Finals to face Indian fan favourite Rockey316 - the other Hall of Famer quietly edging his way toward a Medal opportunity!
The 3way event has a strong but expected final battle to look forward, with all the favourites moving on to the Medal match. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile is on track to win her second 3way Event Gold Medal, having won the event in 2012 as an adopted representative of China. She absolutely dominated New Zealand's team star Kiara85. Chromatose will give Europe a medal, comfortably bypassing Australia. Murdoink outdid fellow South American Maridany and Zentile to make up for his disappointing loss in the Solo Event on Day 6.
"Portuguese Pegasus" Zentile had by far the hardest day of these Olympic Games. Having call times for both the Solo and 3way Events may seem like a blessing, but it stretched him to two disappointing defeats. Rockey316 really rocked his clock with a +4 beat down. He had Maridany on the ropes, but just couldn't extend himself far enough, succumbing to Murdoink. A loss he was none the less energized by, thanks to the +3 beating of Maridany!
The Solo Semi Finals will continue on Day 11, August 16th. Then Day 12 will shower Olympic Medals as both the Solo and 3way Events conclude! A big week of action still to come!

The 5-Team Survival Sequence has produced some of the most exciting moments of the 2016 Summer Games and it's sure to get interesting as the teams decide who will compete for the Medals! The Dream Team of USA have been impossible to defeat, but Team Canada have shown tremendous spirit, producing some of the highlights of the Games on Day 5 and Day 7! Can they go for Gold?
