The announcement has a double effect, not only supplying Mimik with a dangerous challenger -- but also guaranteeing those two former Battle Royale winners won't be in this year's match! They join Hokey in the qualified list, ensuring they will be drawn some time in the random forty-fighter entry.
This year's list for entry is already a strong one, with five of the confirmed seven presenting viable candidates to win the match! Of them, only DECEPTION has been to the main event of UGP, having defended his first Undisputed Championship at Ultimate Grand Prix VI! LordSkarlet returns to this year's Battle Royale match as the 2016 Runner-Up eager to go all the way for the first time!
Their success also means several major names will be thrown to the random draw! 2017 Grand Slam Launch Runner-Up Damo, The_Purple_Bunny, and Statix each would've been considered major prospects had they qualified. Now their fate is uncertain!
