Supercard 88: Battle Royale was the culmination of a long hard road for the man called Poasty.
The January event brought "The Franchise" back to a Division 2 Championship he rightfully claimed last June at Pre-Show 80 --- but lost unchallenged due to a career threatening injury!
It was a well earned title triumph -- but it almost didn't happen!
Poasty nearly walked away from The Great Arena due to the haunting effects one fateful event during his comeback tour, last September. The explosive attack launched by United: Shoe forced Poasty to confront the possibility of a career ending assault. A trauma that continued to eat away at his psyche when he suffered a MAX Damage attack in November, and a loss to Shoe at Supercard 86: Survivor Sequence - Invasion!
Poasty is now stronger than ever before, and with two successful Division 2 Championship defenses to his name -- he's ready to confront the one demon in his past he hasn't slain!
For the first time since the unprecedented attack of September 16th: Poasty and Shoe will meet one-on-one in a blockbuster encounter at the biggest event of the year - Ultimate Grand Prix VII! The fight will draw Shoe out of his comfort zone, taking him away from his allies in The United for a bout that promises to be deeply personal! Another exciting grudge match on a massive UGP card!
