2016 Master's Series - The Finals

The 2016 Master's Series brought the year to a crashing close with an intriguing Semi Final double header designed by four days of top ranking Heats!

The results from Class A and Class C meant reigning Duo Division Champions would meet in a friendly contest to determine which member of The United would make the final. A conspiratorial result reminiscent of their plans at Royal Roulette and rumors for Supercard 87, but it was merely a twist of fate that brought Artanix and Shoe against one another! They fought fair and well, but in the end, it was 2015 Master's Series Runner-Up Artanix who earned the first place!

The second bout proved decidedly more one-sided: Runner-up to the 2011 and 2012 Master's Series' ElJobber intent on making his third appearance in the finals! He completely steamrolled over The Alliance leader AlbertBeefcake, taking him down to the tune of a +7 impact!

The Grand Final ensured a former Master's Series Runner-Up would finally graduate to the elite list of year-end winners! ElJobber, the former Undisputed Champion with both a Grand Slam Launch and Summer Grand Slam title to his name this year. United: Artanix, one-half of the reigning Duo Division Champions who made history by ending the indomitable 420 day reign of Team Xtreme!

They ran into the fight with reckless abandon -- the entire year culminating in one final epic match! ElJobber - the well rounded heavyweight hit hard with a perfect attack. Artanix - the Duo Division specialist showed a base rooted in technique. They each had their strong points, but in the end, there was a clear winner. Adding his third tournament crown for 2016, and his first long awaited Master's Series title - ElJobber finished the year on top! The perfect book end to his 2016 run!

As he basked in the glory of his long awaited win, ElJobber sent an ominous message: If "Contender Elect" Genku thought he was going to get an Undisputed Championship match just because a bunch of idiots voted for him - he would have another thing coming! He beat Genku in Class B and at the 2017 Battle Royale in January - he would once again become the Undisputed Champion!
