History has been made at Supercard 87: End Of Days! "The United" Shoe & Artanix have become just the second team to earn a win over the legendary combination of "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J! A massively unexpected end to 420 days of Team Xtreme's Duo Division Championship dominance! It was a mistake to under estimate the challengers, but it was very easy to believe Marz & Violent`J would go all the way deep into 2017 with those titles. Maybe even preferable.
The United walked away from the final Supercard of the year with three championships: Mimik another grossly under estimated contender, who stunned everyone by winning the Undisputed Championship against three-way odds! Murdoink emerged the only title holder from the night, retaining the Division 2 Championship. Given Poasty's gutsy effort to answer the open challenge, it was perhaps the only title everyone wanted to see change! Poasty's title hopes a motivator going in to 2017!
The Invasion have been dominating The Great Arena throughout the month, fighting a war they seemed to be winning. That seemingly evaporated in one night as they lost their sure-thing in the Duo Division Championships, had their Contender Elect defeated by their biggest opponent, and were finally defeated by The Alliance! A dramatic shift in a week when Genku was able to put the nail in The British Exit's coffin when he sent ShawnMichaels to the injured list this past Friday.
There was one key silver lining providing The Invasion a much needed lifeline. Banging's return as prodigal son finally brought with it the KFL Championship! He was a surprising winner against The Alliance's stalwart champion Statix. He should be welcomed a hero on the last Monday Night Invasion for the year!
The 2017 Master's Series will take up the majority of next week in a decompressed version of the annual invitational. The Top 16 fighters will compete for the unique Round Robin crown. Be watching the final weeks of 2016 as we close the book on another big year in The Great Arena!
