Each year the season of competition is brought to an official close with a special, ceremonial round robin known as The Master's Series. This unique tournament event is reserved exclusively for the Top 16 fighters ranked at the end of the calendar year. These final results determine the final count for the league's best, testing them in evenly dispersed pools before advancing to Semi Final fights.
This year there will be an anomaly in the Round Robin field: #13 fighter ShawnMichaels was cut down on December 16, and will be unable to compete. This means there will only be three fighters designated to Class A Heats, retaining a bye in acknowledgment of ShawnMichaels' position.
