The Curious Case of UlcaTron

The signs of a change in attitude were evident when UlcaTron failed to aid his Fallen teammate Corrupt hydraslash during the All-Star Summer Showdown Battle Royal. After a fortnight of distraction for the Summer Grand Slam and unprecedented chaos during Monday Night Invasion; UlcaTron's true feelings were finally made very clear when he turned on LordSkarlet in yesterday's KFL Championship main event!

Even after his distanced performance in the Summer Battle Royal, the turn seemed sudden, but they say the benefit of hindsight is 20/20, and in the curious case of UlcaTron, it all starts to make perfect sense through the prism of 2015/2016!

Last year was a big one for UlcaTron, particularly as a participant of the now defunct KFL sub-league! A friend to then Head Booker m0s; UlcaTron began 2015 as part of a developing new Duo Division sensation with dibula. The pair struggled in a feud with established combo Unknown265 & mwgrant0, but when m0s relinquished his status as KFL Head Booker and entered into a blood feud with LordSkarlet, UlcaTron & dibula found themselves in the spotlight as soldiers in m0s' faction.

The resulting war between teams led by m0s and LordSkarlet had the unexpected outcome of exiling m0s from the Kombat Fight League he had once controlled! An eventuality he planned for, releasing ElJobber back onto the sub-league under the guise of "Mick-Lucifer". A final parting shot at Team LordSkarlet that would have radical, unforeseen results!

Initially, it seemed ElJobber would live up to his role as a lethal injection of poison attacking LordSkarlet and his allies. Alas; during the June 19th edition of Friday Night Fights he destroyed UlcaTron with MAX Damage! A plot designed to ultimately resurrect UlcaTron as part of a Corrupt new force in the KFL known as: Lucifer's Ladder!

Corrupt UlcaTron would consequently find a new Duo Division partner in former Team LS enemy Corrupt hydraslash! Together they remained a part of Lucifer's Ladder until December, when their destructive plot was completed and Armageddon came to the KFL one final time.

The implosion of the sub-league left ElJobber free to pursue other goals, while Lucifer's Ladder remained in tact, combatting lingering hatreds earned in the final days of the KFL.

Throughout all this, m0s' younger brother and UlcaTron's former friend, Knickxasawrrrr, did his best to vow to fight for UlcaTron's soul! Inspired by a similar case, he battled UlcaTron on February 26th, hoping to fight through the Corruption clouding UlcaTron's perception. He recruited m0s for a Duo confrontation at Pre-Show 76, and faced UlcaTron & hydraslash alone on the March 11th edition of Friday Night Fights.

While Knickxasawrrrr turned his attentions to the masters of Lucifer's Ladder responsible for the Corruption; UlcaTron & hydraslash became a hot property in the Duo Division, fighting to the Semi Finals of the Grand Prix Show Duo tournament! While m0s & Knickxasawrrrr fought for UlcaTron's soul att Ultimate Grand Prix VI - UlcaTron & hydraslash fought in a high-profile match against Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon!

During the April 15th Friday Night Fights, UlcaTron & hydraslash renewed hostilities with KFL opponents Sekktor & legoslayer10 before definitively turning on their Lucifer's Ladder masters ElJobber & Mime on April 22nd. If Corruption had been UlcaTron's first transformation, then this was the beginning of his second -- a signal of the coming "Fall".

On April 29th, UlcaTron & hydraslash engaged in another seemingly unprovoked attack, this time against another old KFL enemy: "The Predator" TonyTheTiger. They followed with a truly unexpected appearance on the May 9th Monday Night Invasion! At last it all became clear as The Fallen assembled on Friday the 13th -- Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash now loyal to a LordSkarlet fallen from grace after his UGP defeat at the hands of TTT!

LordSkarlet and his Fallen embarked upon a spiteful feud with members of The Invasion on Monday Nights, angered by their exploitation of the KFL's collapse. Just as they did, UlcaTron underwent another unexpected transformation -- Corrupt no more!

No one knew exactly why UlcaTron's Corruption lifted, and it hardly seemed to matter. He was still loyal to The Fallen, continuing to act as an enforcer for LordSkarlet and their rivals. Unbeknownst to all concerned, the seeds of UlcaTron's redemption were sewed by Knickxasawrrrr, whose desperate desire to liberate his friend led to a futile Iron Man Death Match against Mime at Supercard 79: Purple Reign!

This act of futile self-sacrifice was enough to lift the veil of Corruption, but it wasn't until m0s made his surprise return at August's Dead Or Alive IX that thing's finally changed! UlcaTron had been thrust into a feud with Jericho, and began spending more time fighting solo. When it came time to rumble at All-Star Summer Showdown, there was little loyalty left in UlcaTron. Inspired by m0s, he finally completed his turn -- unsuccessful in his attempt to disrupt LordSkarlet's KFL Championship defense -- but a moral victor in his long awaited redemption!

What's next for UlcaTron is anybody's guess! With Corrupt hydraslash he honed his skills as a Duo Division competitor -- peaking at #2 on the ranks in June, with a brush at title opportunity in a contender's match at Pre-Show 81! Whether he forms a new team, or chooses to go it alone -- UlcaTron's future is finally his own!
