Chaos reigned during this week's Monday Night Invasion as Jauger's defection at All-Star Summer Showdown renewed tensions between The Alliance, and The Invasion! Their long held "secret weapon" Violent`J stepped up his role to break into the Independent Top 10, but Statix had the final word, ending an unprecedented melee with an unofficial victory over his foe.
The Summer Supercard had a big influence over Friday Night Fights this week, as well. The United were indignant over TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile's ambush of United: Mime, and attempted to divide and conquer. Shoe managed to turn Poasty's unexpected involvement to his advantage in his scheduled encounter with "The Predator", but Artanix suffered for the stand-alone tactic.
The announcement of Tournament 74: Grand Slam [Doubles] could very likely make both teams whole again as thirty-two of the best teams in the league fight it out for supremacy. The Duo Division Top 10 shows plenty of hot prospects! Jammer2Omega & Porygonix fought their way back to the #1 spot, while "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade bounced back from Olympic Games disappointment, climbing to #4.
The under 5k ranks may've remained stagnant this week, but a new Division 2 #1 Contender has been found in Politics. His Quarter Finals effort during the Summer Grand Slam cemented his position as next in line. He'll have plenty of support as he campaigns to win his first title!
