Friday Night Fights (September 9, 2016)

The United hit the reset button after a tumultuous Friday Night Fights last week, giving Shoe a chance to work out some aggressions against a past rival, and The Great Arena a chance to host a Duo Division main event ahead of this weekend's Tournament 74: Grand Slam [Doubles]!

Liam was the unlikely competitor to take Shoe out of the 2016 Summer Grand Slam in the Third Round. The Duo Division veterans were back in their element in the grudge laden main event, where Shoe & Artanix combined to flex collective muscle against the "British Exit" Liam & nif! The confident victory puts them in good stead to be one of the favourites heading in to Tournament 74 - a much needed refocus amidst troubles with TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile. That unusual team-up, officially formed at All-Star Summer Showdown, will be out to cause The United more trouble when they're invited to participate in the Duo tournament this weekend - Sunday, September 11th!

The leader of the British Exit ShawnMichaels is less likely to receive an invitation after his unusual team-up with DemoniaX. The latter has suffered a string of Friday Night Fights defeats in recent months, but ShawnMichaels came to her defense to help earn a win back against Shinnokxz, and NosajSamoht! Why ShawnMichaels would involve himself remains to be seen.

Politics is the #1 contender awaiting a Division 2 Championship match scheduled for Pre-Show 83 (September 18th). That hasn't curbed the enthusiasm of Div.2 fighters looking to make the next claim. avenger45 and Jerrod were the big winners from this week's churn. Poasty got back on the winners list after his failed attack on Shoe last week. G0LD also added to his impressive record with a solid victory over veteran foahchon. On the fringes - ArtemisFlow has exploded out of the 2016 Olympic Games to make a dark horse entry!

The Division 2 race is clearly heating up! Aspiring fighters have until September 25th to get Supercard ready for Night of Champions V! Before then it will be the Duo Division that finally takes center stage. Do not miss this weekend's Tournament 74: Grand Slam [Doubles]! Thirty-two of the best teams will duke it out for tournament supremacy and potential title contention!
