The Championship Century Club

During this week's Monday Night Invasion, "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J completed the impressive feat of defending the Duo Division Championship for one full calendar year!

This unprecedented act puts Team Xtreme in remarkably rare air, far and away surpassing the nearest single title reign by well over 100 days! That's even more extraordinary when you consider how rare it is for any champion to endure for those 100 days alone!

Only ten recorded title reigns have surpassed 100 consecutive days in the highly competitive Great Arena. These most winningest of champions are part of a rare group affectionately dubbed "The Century Club". Who are these champions?

1. Marz & Violent`J - 366+ days, 17 defenses [Duo Division Championship]
Still presently enjoying the fruits of their amazing reign as Duo Division Champions, this Hall of Fame pairing arrived in The Great Arena in 2012. They brought the experience of being 3-time ICWW Tag Team Champions with them, winning an Olympic Gold Medal for Canada the year of their arrival, and reunited three years later to win the Duo Division Championship at the aptly titled Supercard 71: Greatness. In their time in The Great Arena they've earned a phenomenal 30-1 win/loss record, blemished only by a team involving the second longest reigning champion on this list.

2. Ratt - 213 days, 11 defenses [Undisputed Championship]
If Ratt hadn't already been considered one of the greatest of all-time - his fourth reign as Undisputed Champion would've cemented it! Until the rise of Team Xtreme, it was the longest reign on record, stretching from May, 2013 until Battle Royale 2014! During this unbelievable run Ratt defeated a who's who of league's best fighters with a big win at All-Star Summer Showdown. The reign could've been even longer, but after winning the title for a third time at Ultimate Grand Prix III, he briefly lost the title to The_Purple_Bunny, reclaiming it a fortnight later to begin this historic gauntlet!

3. Damo & DeathScepter - 210 days, 10 defenses [Duo Division Championship]
"The Service Krew" Damo & DeathScepter made history with a record setting 200+ day title reign in 2015, but much like Ratt, they only achieved this feat after being forced to fight to reclaim the title they lost for one month. Tower of Power XII returned them immediately to the title they lost to Shoe & Artanix, beginning a domination of the Duo Division with a three-way title defenses at Ultimate Grand Prix V! They beat the best teams the league had to offer, but were eventually dethroned by the very format that delivered them to gold, losing to Ratt & NightHawk at Tower of Power XIV! A brief stop over before Marz & Violent`J took things to new Xtremes!

4. Ratt & Kron - 154 days, 5 defenses [Duo Division Championship]
There's a reason Ratt is considered one of the greatest fighters of all time. Not only has he dominated the ranks as one of the best Undisputed Champions of all time -- he's also been a game changer for the Duo Division! Before he established his partnership with NightHawk; Ratt forged an uneasy all-star alliance with Kron, using his Royal Roulette 2012 win to challenge "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging at All-Star Summer Showdown! They liberated the title from the invading ICWW throwbacks and kept it out of reach until January, when the desire to entire Battle Royale led them to vacate the championship! Who knows how long they might have reigned if they hadn't?

5. Knickxasawrrrr - 140 days, 10 defenses [Division 2 Championship]
The realization of the Division 2 Championship led to a tumultuous two months of title changes. In December 2013, the title was finally stabilized by a fighter who would go on to be one of its greatest holders! Knickxasawrrrr was known as "The Y2K Problem", and he posed the ultimate problem for the under 5k Div. 2 fighters who hoped to etch their names in gold. He endured a heavy succession of title defenses, until finally he was unseated in April 2014 by a former top champ fighting below his weight class: Mime! That wasn't the end of Knickxasawrrrr's mark on the title, though!

6. VenoMark - 139 days, 10 defenses [KFL Championship]
Originally conceived as the pinnacle of the sponsored sub-league; The KFL Championship was a title that courted regular title challengers from all levels of competition. m0s became Head Booker of the KFL in 2014, and instituted VenoMark as his first new champion of 2015. Having held the title twice before (with blacksaibot), VenoMark stepped up in his first solo reign, making up for lost time as the "King of the KFL"! He became a mythic figure, fending off would-be challengers and rivals, giving the title one of its best reigns in the process!

7. Crow - 127 days, 7 defenses [Undisputed Championship]
Known at the time as "The Unstoppable" Crow, this Hall of Famer was the original member of "The Century Club" way back in 2011! That first year of competition was by far the most heated, and in his second reign, Crow drew intense scrutiny as he emerged as a seemingly unbeatable Undisputed Champion! Reigning from May to October, his reputation grew, and with it a growing anticipation for every one of his exciting title defenses! Though his reign has since been significantly surpassed, its place within the intense formative year of The Great Arena makes it a uniquely impressive feat.

8. DECEPTION - 120 days, 3 defenses [Undisputed Championship]
The year long title reign of Team Xtreme may've got all the press, but 2016 has also seen a couple of surprising new additions to The Century Club! "The Hitman" DECEPTION finally cashed in on his star in March, winning the Undisputed Championship for the first time! He blew everyone away by retaining at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, but dropped the title soon after. On June 12, he reclaimed the title, and began a second reign that only ended earlier this month, at Supercard 84! DECEPTION has already earned his place among the greats, and could be back on this list in the near future!

9. Statix - 119 days, 6 defenses [KFL Championship]
At the beginning of 2016, the KFL sub-league collapsed - but the KFL Championship lived on! The title became a symbol of power for a new era of competition in The Great Arena, joining the larger league and its event schedule. At Ultimate Grand Prix VI, Statix made history as the first fighter to win the title at the annual Supercard spectacular. Fighting to keep it from the clutches of the force known as The Invasion, he held the title for an impressive 119 days! Statix has since won the title back for The Alliance and is on his way to another run!

10. Knickxasawrrrr - 105 days, 8 defenses [Division 2 Championship]
When Knickxasawrrrr won the Division 2 Championship for a third time at Ultimate Grand Prix V, he was already an established benchmark for the under 5k ranks. Taking on a statesman role within the maturing Division 2 scene, he dominated the first half of 2015 less as a gatekeeper, and more as a champion enjoying the height of his powers. On June 14, he became the first champion to defend a title in The Eliminator format. A harbinger for his subsequent title loss, but a result that ensured he entered The Century Club for a phenomenal second time!
