ICWW: Aftershock (01/17/03)

ICWW: AFTERSHOCK                      JANUARY 17, 2003

ICWW: Aftershock was huge as Buddy Luv welcomed fans to the sold out ICWW arena. Luv informed the crowd that Jason Shamrock had selected four superstars to take part in his championship tournament, and then on Civil Action he would again select another four to complete it. Plus, Oozaru was in the house looking for more old blood to spill, and Rhyno was set to face Loopster!

Eric Angle entered the ring and said that although his brother had tapped out, he would not do so. Angle then challenged any superstar, new or old, to come out and face him man to man. All rights were reserved as Patrick Mannion made his way to the entrance stage, he said that Eric Angle was pathetic, and he was happy to answer the challenge. The two superstars locked up in the center of the ring, Angle was the first to make the offensive with a nice fireman's carry. Mannion scored a spinebuster and then looked to hit the smackdown slam early, but Angle countered into an olympic Angle slam and got the cover. Angle celebrated the victory.

Backstage Rhyno and Banging were talking about Banging's match in the championship tournament. Rhyno said that Marz also had a spot, which meant the odds were even for the old blood to get the shot against Shamrock at Worlds Collide. He told Banging that as a grand slam champion, he hoped he would step up and be his right hand man to take down ICWW. Banging nodded and headed out as Jesseman flew into the room. He asked Rhyno if there was any evil he could vanquish. Rhyno told him to take on a dark fellow debuting called Statix.

In the ring Statix looked a little out of his element, despite huge success in the MMAF recently. Jesseman tied up with the new superstar and dropped him with a nice spinning neck breaker. Jesseman looked to further his offensive with a senton bomb, but Statix managed to knock his footing out by hitting the top rope. Statix was able to press slam Jesseman off the turnbuckle, but the super hero jumped right back up! Statix looked for a powerslam, but Jesseman countered into the Jesseman Justice Judgment slam, and scored the pin before racing backstage.

Backstage Oozaru was with Shane Altmann. Oozaru said he wasn't the most likely choice to lead the counter attack on the old blood, and he wasn't even electing himself, but he was more than happy to take each and everyone of them apart. He then said on Civil Action he took down Albert Beefcake, and now he wanted to take down another one of the Super Friends.

Jason Shamrock joined the commentators ringside for his heavyweight championship tournament matches. Shamrock said that he was keen to bring a sense of honor and tradition to the already prestigious ICWW heavyweight championship belt. He said he had hand picked worthy superstars for his tournament, and the first two were Marz and Ghrimm. Marz representing the old blood, and Ghrimm representing the ICWW's faithful tied up early seeing Marz sneak the lead with a nice drop kick. Ghrimm went on the attack with a DDT, and then followed with his trademark move the hydro flip. Marz continued un-phased and dropped Ghrimm with a sit down powerbomb. He followed up with the spiral bomb and a cover.

Next The Nomad took on old blood superstar, Banging. The match started fast seeing the Nomad go on the attack first with a nice bulldog. Banging regained his composure and went to the ropes scoring a dandy Samoan drop! Nomad struggled for a top rope powerbomb, but Banging powered out of it and hit a flapjack. Nomad looked to get a second wind after spraying the red myst in the eyes of Banging, but his mask protected him for the most part, allowing Banging to surprise the Nomad with the kiwi bomb and a cover. Nomad got to his feet and hit the Bible Black on Banging before heading to the back, then Shamrock raced into the ring and nailed Banging with the heavyweight championship. Shamrock stared down with intensity at the contender.

Backstage the Nomad was heading to the locker rooms when Violent J stopped him. He said that although Nomad had made a very personal attack on his VIP cart at Civil Action there was something bigger than that. He said he was down with Nomad standing for his beliefs, and understood he only hurt him because he hated that big thing - the old blood. He said that the old blood was much bigger than his VIP cart, much bigger than the psycho flip, and even bigger than the Bible Black! He then said that was why the two of them would have to team up at Worlds Collide to take down the tag team champions. The two time tag champion asked Nomad if he could dig that sucka, and Nomad reluctantly agreed. Then Violent J spotted Mickdust heading toward the stage and called him over. He said that even though Mickdust was the owner of the promotion he had to be taken down. Mickdust agreed and said he was soooo going down... sucka. Violent J looked at his hand shocked and nodded as Mickdust headed to the entrance.

Mickdust made his golden entrance and took a microphone. He said that he saw Oozaru's challenge, and was ready to come to blows in a one on one match. Oozaru charged toward the ring and the match started with fierce punches from Oozaru, but Mickdust managed to slow the pace with an atomic drop. Mickdust sent Oozaru into the ropes, but was caught with a harsh clothesline. Oozaru dropped the big splash, and got a near fall two count. Mickdust whipped the hardcore monkey hard into the turnbuckle and then propped him up in the corner! The referee warned Mickdust, but he tossed him aside and hit the shattered dreams on Oozaru! A shower of glitter came down on the ring as Mickdust made his way back down the entrance.

Next the Eurasian champion Loopster, prepared to face the leader of the old blood - Rhyno in a non-title no holds barred match. Loopster made his way to the ring with his championship belt around his waist, and his trademark 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire. Rhyno stormed the ring and nailed the Eurasian champ with a spinebuster slam! Loopster hit a shot with the barbed wire 2x4, but Rhyno shrugged it off and got a toe to the mid section, and then dropped Loopster with a jackknife powerbomb! Loopster got to his feet groggy, and Rhyno hit the gore! It was academic from there, the two fall clenching it. Suddenly Oozaru raced down to the ring and chased Rhyno from the ring with a chair! Oozaru checked on Loopster, and then challenged Rhyno to a one on one match at Worlds Collide. He stood over the fallen Loopster staring Rhyno down as ICWW: Aftershock came to a colliding climatic end.
