Champions: The Grand Path to Greatness

It came completely without warning! A Division 2 Championship challenge during this week's Friday Night Fights that earned The Great Genku his first reign through the defeat of Benjamin!

For a fighter who was just competing for an Undisputed Championship match at the Spring Classic - it seemed like a bizarre left turn! As many know, there is more than one path to greatness, and as it turns out - there was method to Genku's madness!

With his unexpected title victory, the self-proclaimed "Great" one joins an elite list of fighters who've won all four major championships during their careers! Genku is only the third fighter to achieve the feat, completing the fourth "Grand Slam Title" collection on record!

The sudden nature of such a history making moment reminds us that just about anything can happen in The Great Arena! Genku's next challenge will be defending his Division 2 Championship, starting with a title rematch on the next Friday Night Fights - May 6th!

Friday Night Fights (April 29, 2016)

It was a star studded edition of Friday Night Fights this week! Tensions during the week set up an intriguing main event, but it was the unexpected attacks and challenges that made it an FNF for the history books!

The Great Genku set a tone for a night full of surprises, issuing an impromptu challenge to Division 2 Champion Benjamin! The reigning champ succeeded in stabilizing the title across four months of dominance, but found himself mounting a weak effort against the veteran heavyweight. He was woefully outclassed - granting Genku a completely unexpected title win!

ElJobber & Mime were better prepared when Knickxasawrrrr made a crazed return to Friday Night Fights! The lone fighter threw himself at the combined Unholy Alliance, slamming into a wall of two-man power! Knickxasawrrrr seems to have grown desperate and directionless since his brother's departure from competition [4/4/2016].

Also unsuccessful in a deliberate attack were Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash! The newly independent combination set their mutual corrupt sights on unlucky Spring Classic title challenger: "The Predator" TonyTheTiger! It isn't the first time they've made an unprovoked attack. The pair targeted Sekktor & legoslayer10 during the April 15th Friday Night Fights, leading to a Supercard 78 rematch win. Why TonyTheTiger was their next target is unclear.

There was no complicated reason behind VenoMark's destruction of NovaStarr. The unsuccessful Spring Classic Div.2 challenger was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. VenoMark pointed to the fresh demolition, and his dispatch of Mimik and ShawnMichaels to make his case for contention for the Undisputed Championship! He called out #1 contender The_Purple_Bunny - warning that next week he'd be looking to do to him what he did to NovaStarr!

CaTigeReptile dominated in her grudge bout with United: Shoe! The Duo Division specialist was eating his words as CTR unleashed a devastating offensive! A solid main event to finish a wild Friday Night!

Friday Night Fights (April 29, 2016):

CTR Issues FNF Challenge For Shoe

A seemingly unprovoked, tense stand-off has occurred in the arena between United: Shoe and "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! Reports of the exact circumstances are hazy, but Shoe is said to have launched a tirade against the 7-time KFL Champion, and questioned the merit and legitimacy of her victory over Damo at Supercard 78: Spring Classic.

CaTigeReptile was understandably agitated by the attack and has issued a challenge for Shoe for this week's Friday Night Fights! The United's new management has not commented on the match.

How Can We Change? Scott-Howell Can Change

As a 4-Time KFL Champion, "American Dream" Scott-Howell knows his fair share about winning fights.

As one half of the league's most storied Duo Division pairing - he also knows the strength that can be achieved by working together toward a mutual goal. That knowledge has not only carried him to the Duo Division Championship and the 2016 Grand Prix Show Tournament title, but also through the hard times and adversity that challenge everyone on their own journey.

In recent months, The Great Arena has been divided by conflict and dispute. If left unchecked, these forces could tear this beloved institution apart! Is that what any of us wants?...

How can we change? Scott-Howell can change!

This message written and spoken for the campaign of "American Dream" Scott-Howell.

Monday Night Invasion (April 25, 2016)

Having suffered a brutal beating at the Spring Classic, ShawnMichaels was nowhere to be seen this Monday Night Invasion! Instead, DaemonX assumed an unofficial role of leadership - announcing Banging as the rightful #1 contender to the KFL Championship after Statix' weekend defense.

DX pointed to Pre-Show 78, where the former KFL Champion successfully eliminated Statix in an epic struggle during the 5-on-5 Survivor Sequence! These declarations drew protest from TripleH, whose impressive 10-2 record made a compelling case for his contention. DaemonX declared Banging would get a title shot further down the line, but if TripleH could beat his opponent, he would receive a shot during next week's Monday Night Invasion! He handled an attack from Rhyno - setting up a KFL Championship match for next Monday - May 2nd!

"The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane were allowed to return to Monday Nights under DaemonX' watch. They sought payback against Invasion recruit Hokey and his recently reunited ally: Mime. Alas; they were no match for one of the greatest duos of all time! Could Hokey be the recruit that finally gives Invasion the dominant edge over The Alliance? Between this and Pre-Show 78 - it sure looks that way!

In the main event: DaemonX & Banging flexed their muscles against more Invasion new recruits. Loopster & chaos_Drone suffered the ire of The Alliance Oozaru & PaganFreak at Supercard 78, and couldn't match the Duo Division might of The Invasion's new leader and #1 contender.

Monday Night Invasion: Week 9 (April 25, 2016):
7. DaemonX & Banging d. Loopster & chaos_Drone [+1]
6. Hokey & Mime d. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane [+2]
5. TripleH d. Rhyno [+1]
4. The_Rock d. Grayback [+1]
3. Ironize & AcidicWonder d. MattHardy & Ghrimm [+1]
2. edge d. Jesseman [+2]
1. Zengeance d. Jericho [+1]

Weekly Rankings Recap - 4/24/2016

A busy week thrusts Mime into the Top 10 as he forges dual alliances with ElJobber and his classic Duo Division partner Hokey just in time for a Spring Classic win against The United. These recent losses have pushed Shoe & Artanix to the lower portion of the Duo Division ranks, but they remain one of the hot teams under the guidance of new management: DArqueBishop.

Two of the newest teams are taking the Duo Division by storm. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix pushed their rank all the way to #2 with a successful UGP grudge match against the dark horse pairing of Jerrod & Corrupt MINION. They didn't make it to the Supecard, but McDaniel & fraysol also continue to find victory -- surprising arrivals high in the Top 5!

The Invasion may have taken back control of Monday Nights and sent AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane packing on home turf [4/18/2016], but The Alliance picked up all the big wins at Supercard 78! That's pushed The Superfriends back into the Duo Division ranks, and kept them strong in all other categories. They may've lost some battles, but the war goes on!

Supercard 78: Spring Classic (2016)

In the shadow of Ultimate Grand Prix VI, the league says goodbye to Spring with a showcase of the warriors still standing. Will this be the final celebration of a passing era? The New Generation will fight to maintain their inheritance at the top of the league! Invaders will fight to claim their stake! Unholy Alliances will be tested and The United may crumble. It's a new tradition that takes us from UGP Season into the year ahead. This is the Spring Classic!

14. "The Hitman" DECEPTION (c) defeated "The Predator" TonyTheTiger in a solid result. [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
Few fighters were a bigger surprise at Ultimate Grand Prix VI than UGP Battle Royal winner "The Predator" TonyTheTiger! It wasn't just that won the match from the #1 entry -- he also did it while enduring battles with Hokey for half the match, and Battle Royale Runner-Up LordSkarlet, as well! It was the perfect momentum to carry him into an Undisputed Championship match, where the still new champ had an air of vulnerability against the wildcard of TonyTheTiger! The battle of "The Predator" and "The Hitman" certainly didn't disappoint! TTT showed he was no token challenger, arriving with a strong offense that pushed DECEPTION even harder than his UGP title defense! Never the less, the leader of The New Generation showed that it is finally his era. Strong in his rebuttal of the momentum charged challenge! DECEPTION carries the title forward into May, where he'll likely have to answer the call of one of the greatest champions of all time - The_Purple_Bunny!

13. ElJobber, Mime & Hokey defeated "The United" DArqueBishop, Shoe & Artanix in a concrete victory! [+2]
Since taking over management of The United in February; DArqueBishop has expertly navigated the career of Shoe & Artanix back toward the Duo Division Championship. The results are hard to argue with, but when he fired Hokey from the team, many were left scratching their heads! Hokey may have found refuge with United foes The Invasion at Pre-Show 78: Control, but when The Alliance cornered him for a beat down [4/18/2016], it was his former partner Mime who made the save! "The Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime have had their own issues with The United [4/15/2016], setting up the perfect battle of common enemies - except for one thing: Hokey & ElJobber hate each others guts! ElJobber's Undisputed title win at Battle Royale 2016 started Hokey's downward spiral under new management, and the tension was palpable. Mime kept the pair apart to maintain focus on The United, but even in victory, the atmosphere was coarse! The United performed strong as a trio, but couldn't compete with the dominance of three former Undisputed Champions! Is DArqueBishop regretting his decision to axe The Charmed One? This story may not be over!

12. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) defeated "Guardians of the Crow" Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon in a massively comprehensive victory! [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
With only 1 loss in their Great Arena career - Hall of Fame team Marz & Violent`J have established themselves as one of the deadliest duos the league has ever seen! Since winning the gold in October, they've marched through a who's who of the Duo Division, accruing eight defenses! "Guardians of the Crow" Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon may have been nursing the wound of losing their leader to an Iron Man Death Match at UGP6, but their history as the original champions in top form made them a compelling new challenge to Team Xtreme's reign! They didn't disappoint, bringing a match winning performance to the Spring Classic! The only problem was the team they were facing! Marz & Violent`J took their Duo Division prowess to another level - perhaps the single greatest performance by a duo in the history of the division! The domination left Guardians of the Crow nowhere to go! A scintillating 2-on-2 classic that should have everyone fearful of what Team Xtreme can do!

11. VenoMark defeated ShawnMichaels in a dominant bloodletting! [+1/-9] [Steel Cage Fight]
Tensions between VenoMark and The Invasion leader ShawnMichaels go all the way back to February, when ShawnMichaels upset the KFL Champion [2/5/2016] and trash talked the legacy of the KFL sub-league [2/22/2016]! As the rivalry between the pair has grown, ShawnMichaels has repeatedly found ways to duck and dodge VenoMark's challenges - until now! Surrounded by the inescapable metal of The Steel Cage - ShawnMichaels was alone with a monster! With valuable experience in the Steel Cage accrued at UGP6 - VenoMark was able to completely dominate his hated rival! The cage was the ultimate weapon, allowing him to grate and smash ShawnMichaels to a -9 annihilation! The dominant win saw VenoMark escape the cage unscathed. A huge victory!

10. The_Purple_Bunny defeated The Great Genku in very convincing fashion! [+1]
As two of the big winners at Ultimate Grand Prix VI; The Great Genku and The_Purple_Bunny were logical choices to fight for #1 contender privileges. The title ranks had taken a hit amidst the rise of DECEPTION at Tower of Power XV, but Genku seemed to be on the path back toward the title he lost at the tail end of 2015. At least until The_Purple_Bunny reminded everyone why he's one of the greatest competitors in the league today! A super heavyweight performance delivered a perfect win to finally set TPB up for the Undisputed Championship opportunity he's been chasing for months!

9. "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo defeated CCShadow & Scott-Howell in a solid victory! [+1]
They competed in a three-way Duo Division Championship match at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, stepping over each other in their attempts to upset Team Xtreme. This time it was pure 2-on-2 and the chance to settle the score between two of the league's great tandems! CCShadow & Scott-Howell had faired better at UGP and seemed like the veteran favourites, but it was The New Generation who kept the tide of change sweeping through the Spring Classic! They turned it on to take down the slumping classics, setting Baraka_MK & Onryo up as one of the top contenders to the two-man title!

8. Statix (c) defeated King Ken in a comprehensive victory! [+6] [KFL Championship]
A string of big wins including those over AlbertBeefcake [4/11/2016] and The_Hurricane [4/4/2016] made King Ken a logical choice to challenge The Alliance's KFL Champion. Statix was a big winner at UGP6, but Ken's rise as "The King of the World" generated a lot of belief in his potential to upset the new champ. While there's no doubt he has the potential - the dream collapsed at the Spring Classic as Statix dominated the challenger to the tune of a hard hitting +6 impact! A compelling match-up in the new KFL title era, but history Ken probably won't want to remember!

7. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile defeated "The Chosen One" Damo [+1]
Fighting on the fringes of contention, Damo and CaTigeReptile both suffered setbacks in their title hunt at Ultimate Grand Prix VI. Still carrying the confidence of a lie - "The Chosen One" had a lot of self-belief, but that may have fooled him into underestimating the might of CTR! A casual approach from Damo led to his undoing.

6. Benjamin (c) defeated NovaStarr in a very solid victory! [+1] [Division 2 Championship]
After capitulating in the UGP Battle Royal, many wondered if NovaStarr's best days were behind her. She completely flipped the script during Pre-Show 78, showing once again that she is still a fighter to be feared when masses meet in Battle Royal action! This sudden turnaround had many believing in a Division 2 title change, but the rock that has been Benjamin did not budge! Another confident title defense takes Benjamin to five wins as Division 2 Champion!

5. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix defeated Jerrod & Corrupt MINION in a well earned victory! [+1]
Jammer2Omega & Porygonix are fast turning into one of the top teams of the 2016 Duo Division, but their rise through the ranks suffered a crushing setback at Ultimate Grand Prix VI. The Spring Classic grudge match promised to be a hard fought encounter and it did not disappointed! Jerrod & Corrupt MINION were one of the early teams and their pedigree in 2-on-2 competition is undeniable. In the end, this was just J2O & Porygonix' day. A good win!

4. "The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane defeated "The Invasion" Shen_DuHBK & Jason_Voorhees in a solid win. [+1]
Shen_DuHBK & Jason_Voorhees turned on The Alliance way back on February 12th, and The Alliance's AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane have never quite got the recompense they desired. At the Spring Classic, that's exactly what was on the table, The Alliance pursuing the team after another ambush during Monday Night Invasion! The Superfriends were at the top of their game - too strong for their former trusted allies! A small consolation for losing control of Mondays to The Invasion at Pre-Show 78.

3. Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash defeated Sekktor & legoslayer10 [+1]
No longer part of Lucifer's Ladder after this week's FNF; Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash were ready to fight for themselves! They had attacked Sekktor & legoslayer10 during the April 15th Friday Night Fights, presumably due to their past in the KFL sub-league. The newly formed combo of Sekktor & legoslayer10 hoped to even the score at Supercard 78, but found their early chemistry lacking against the strengthened Corrupt! The solid win puts The Corrupt on a confident path - but where that path will lead them is still a mystery!

2. "The Portuguese Pegasus" Zentile defeated Coltess in a clean result. [+2]
Tensions between Coltess and Zentile appeared to come out of nowhere, starting quietly on the March 25th edition of Friday Night Fights. The pair's dislike for one another escalated in matches on April 1st and April 15th, tensions simmering as they each found themselves in other rivalries. With Poasty relegated to the sidelines, the pair inevitably converged on the Spring Classic. A fact Coltess may be regretting as he capitulated on the big stage, succumbing to a confident performance from The Portuguese Pegasus!

1. "The Alliance" Oozaru & PaganFreak defeated "The Invasion" Loopster & chaos_Drone in a confident take down. [+2]
When Loopster found his way to the Aftershock takeover [4/4/2016] via issues with McDaniel, it seemed he was loyal to The Alliance's coup. The return of Monday Night Invasion and chaos_Drone with it [4/18/2016] changed all of that - revealing Loopster's true colors as a dormant member of The Invasion! Duo Division hopefuls Oozaru & PaganFreak took up the challenge to show him what he's in for, comfortably taking out the pair in an exciting open!

Friday Night Fights (April 22, 2016)

Fallout from the Division 2 Battle Royal at Pre-Show 78: Control permeated the action throughout this week's Friday Night Fights! The eliminated challenged the eliminators in a string of hard fought grudge matches, while the rungs of Lucifer's Ladder began to crumble in the night's main event!

Since last year, UlcaTron & hydraslash have been corrupted warriors working in the service of ElJobber and his unholy ally Mime. It was this unexpected force that brought the Kombat Fight League to an end and ensured ElJobber's return to the main fighting league after he was forced out at Ultimate Grand Prix V. Things clearly aren't going his way during FNF, though! Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash turned on their masters in a hard hitting Duo Division main event! They didn't win the match, but to say The Unholy Alliance were the victors in the +8 win is far too much.

We saw a similar scene when Baraka_MK & Onryo splintered off from Lucifer's Ladder as The Corrupt Generation. Their friend DECEPTION had fought the pair in vain, but when he suffered the ultimate defeat, his Corrupt friends began the path back to the light. One year after the saga began with BMK's -1up defeat, The New Generation were fighting for gold once more at UGP6. In 2016, Knickxasawrrrr was inspired to try to do the same for UlcaTron, but it all ended in UGP defeat, and the shock resignation of m0s. Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash will face Sekktor & legoslayer10 this weekend in a match at Supercard 78: Spring Classic! Perhaps the reason for their change of heart will be revealed.

Sekktor & legoslayer10 were back in action in preparation for their Spring Classic grudge bout. They handled NosajSamoht & Shinnokxz with relative ease, picking up another valuable win. Sekktor & legoslayer10 took exception to an unprovoked Corrupt attack during the April 15th FNF, and are also having personel worries of their own with the disappearance of LordSkarlet since his UGP Battle Royal loss!

In the body of FNF, it was the Div.2 Contender Battle Royal eliminators who stood tallest: Nephrite, Murdoink, Bee_07 and xort all defeating their challengers! Only Philip94 and Coltess managed to flip the script, getting payback against the fighters who took them out of the contender bout. Winner NovaStarr gets a shot at the Division 2 Championship this weekend at the Spring Classic! PLUS: Coltess will attempt to ride the momentum of his victory to take down arch-rival Zentile! All this and more! Don't miss it!

Friday Night Fights (April 22, 2016):
11. "Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime d. Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash [+8]
10. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix d. kororaa & vaiisekk [+2]
9. Sekktor & legoslayer10 d. NosajSamoht & Shinnokxz [+1]
8. xort d. "Portuguese Pegasus" Zentile [+1]

More Matches For Spring Classic

The 2016 Spring Classic continues to grow with four more blockbuster matches added to this weekend's Supercard!

Spinning out of this week's Monday Night Invasion, The Alliance will have an axe to grind when AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane come for revenge against their former teammates turned traitors: "The Invasion" Shen_DuHBK & Jason_Voorhees! PLUS: After the shock revelation Loopster & chaos_Drone have also joined The Invasion -- Oozaru & PaganFreak will initiate them with a brutal 2-on-2 clash at the Classic!

Sekktor & legoslayer10 will also look to settle the score with Corrupt UlcaTron & Corrupt hydraslash after their aggressive attack during the April 15th instalment of Friday Night Fights!

Also spinning out of Friday Night Fights is the massive rivalry brewing between Zentile and Coltess! It might have been a three-way affair if Poasty hadn't been sent to the injured list. Now it's a brutal one-on-one encounter!

Supercard 78: 2016 Spring Classic (April 24th, 2016)

3 New Spring Classic Matches

The Duo Division will be on show at Supercard 78: 2016 Spring Classic with three big feature matches added to this weekend's card!

Leading the pack are "Guardians of the Crow" Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon who'll be next to take the intimidating challenge of Hall of Fame Champions: "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J! With only one career loss in The Great Arena, the veteran tandem have been completely untouched by any and all challengers. Will the very first Duo Division Champions be the ones to finally upset the legends?

PLUS: Two big rematches from Ultimate Grand Prix VI! Spinning out of the three-way title match; "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo will attempt to get payback on the team who took them out - CCShadow & Scott-Howell! Payback will also be on the minds of up-and-coming twosome Jammer2Omega & Porygonix as they look to even the score with Jerrod & MINION!

It's all shaping up to be one massive Spring Classic - Sunday, April 24th! Mark your calendars!

Unholy Alliance Targets The United!

The arena was stunned during last night's Monday Night Invasion when Mime reunited one of the league's legendary teams -- coming to the aid of Hokey during a chaotic double teaming from The Alliance!

It seems the reunion won't be a one-time deal: Mime now issuing a trios challenge for Supercard 78: Spring Classic against the team who recently fired Hokey - The United!

The reunion comes about as The United's new management manoeuvres Shoe & Artanix in the direction of the undefeated Unholy Alliance, clashing with them during Friday Night Fights. The common enemy is a natural catalyst for bringing the estranged former Duo Division Champions together, who parted during The Horde infection of late 2014, leaving Mime to forge his KFL destroying partnership with ElJobber.

ElJobber may be happy to take down The United, but it was only three months ago when he took Hokey's Undisputed Championship at Supercard 74: Battle Royale! Hokey may be happy to see Mime, but it remains to be seen if he and ElJobber will be on the same page!

Hokey's allegiances remain unclear - his Alliance troubles stemming from a surprise role in securing ownership of Monday Nights for The Invasion at Pre-Show 78: Control. When DArqueBishop fired Hokey for not measuring up most saw it as an unwarranted jettisoning of a Supercard stalwart, but "The Charmed One" has landed on his feet, making more friends than ever!

Monday Night Invasion (April 18, 2016)

The Invasion may have won the right to be in charge of Mondays at Pre-Show 78, but they certainly weren't in control when Monday Night Invasion kicked off!

"The Alliance" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane were back in the arena to confront Hokey for his shocking role in winning the 5-on-5 team match for The Invasion! The confrontation turned into a 2-on-1 assault by The Alliance, and instead of one of The Invasion emerging to help - it was Hokey's former running buddy Mime who made the save! They turned the tables, fending AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane off in a stunning reunion of one of the league's greatest teams!

While Hokey & Mime left victorious - Shen_DuHBK & Jason_Voorhees entered the arena to take advantage of the chaos and finish their one-time Alliance compadres! It was a back-to-back butt kicking for The Alliance, only just unable to defend themselves against The Invasion before being unceremoniously escorted out of The Great Arena!

For a moment it seemed as if The Alliance was staging another coup over the Monday Night event, but that all changed when it became apparent Loopster & chaos_Drone are fighting on the side of The Invasion! They reset the record with a win over Rhyno & Grayback in convincing fashion. No hard feelings for The Invasion, who've said since the start they will not let a common goal interfere with competition!

That willingness to fight amongst themselves played out in bitter fashion when DaemonX challenged The_Rock! It was the first opportunity for the pair to meet since Ultimate Grand Prix VI, where they suffered defeat at the hands of Hokey's former teammates in The United. DaemonX called The_Rock the weak link in the team - backing up his claims with a decent win.

Absent from the entire night's festivities was triumphant team leader ShawnMichaels. The Invasion's spiritual head knows this weekend he'll have nowhere to run or hide when the Steel Cage descends around he and nemesis VenoMark! VenoMark has been chasing ShawnMichaels for weeks and took pleasure in sending a clear message in the main event with a dominant trios victory!

Weekly Rankings Recap - 4/17/2016

The surprise package of McDaniel shot his partnership with fraysol skywared in the Duo Division Top 10, this week. Settling scores with rivals Piccolo & GohanSon and Loopster helped elevate the combo, while "The United" Shoe & Artanix suffered their first significant setback since adopting new management. An ambitious challenge against the undefeated combo ElJobber & Mime cost them three spots in a competitive field.

It doesn't seem as if United New Management DArqueBishop will be quite as hard on Shoe & Artanix as he was when he fired Hokey! Hokey's surprise appearance for The Invasion over the weekend shifted the balance of power back in favor of ShawnMichaels and his team. Along with securing control over Monday Night Invasion, they're also back in the independent rankings, sharing 50% share in a new joint Alliance/Invasion Top 10. It was ShawnMichaels' loss to The United at Ultimate Grand Prix VI that helped introduced instability over the control on Mondays.

In injury updates: Poasty's future was confirmed after a surprise appearance as NovaStarr's partner during Friday Night Fights. Previous reports of a serious injury while fighting Genku have been verified and Poasty is expected to miss at least three weeks. It's a major setback for the veteran fighter, whose recent efforts had many earmarking him for big things.

Pre-Show 78: Control

ShawnMichaels knew he'd have to field a top shelf team with control over Monday Nights on the line in the Pre-Show 78 main event, but it turned out to be serendipity that gave The Invasion the edge over opposing team: The Alliance!

Hokey was the surprise secret weapon for The Invasion -- crossing lines fresh off of being fired from The United! He secured the winning elimination, sparing ShawnMichaels the burden of having to face sudden death. While Hokey neutralized AlbertBeefcake, it was the earlier effort of star recruit Banging that set the team up for their win. He emerged from a hard fought exchange with KFL Champion Statix to score a double elimination, and payback for his title loss at UGP6!

Although The Invasion never officially lost control of Monday Night Invasion, the victory guarantees they'll be back running the show tomorrow - April 18th! It ends The Alliance's two-week coup staged after The Invasion's 0-3 embarrassment at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, which rebranded the show in honor of ICWW Aftershock.

It wasn't all bad news for The Alliance at Pre-Show 78: Oozaru & PaganFreak pursued a UGP grudge match challenge from Jason_Voorhees & edge for a convincing victory. It puts the duo in good stead within the division, but given their role in securing The Alliance's team victory at UGP6, the challenge does seem like a convenient masterstroke to remove the threat by ShawnMichaels. Too bad for him he'll still be on borrowed time when he's trapped alone in the Steel Cage with VenoMark at next week's Supercard 78: Spring Classic [full story]! Also on the losing side - Rhyno & Grayback just short against rxvt & deadly, and The Invasion's Catch 22 Ironize & AcidicWonder upset in a surprise win for Dolce & Bofh!

The Spring Classic also has its Division 2 Championsh challenger! NovaStarr bounced back from a disappointing performance in the 6th Annual UGP Battle Royal, reminding everyone exactly why she's so famously associated with the match type! Nephrite, foahchon and nightbreed_16 found ways to make an impact throughout the match, but the final four turned into a shooting gallery as NovaStarr rode a wave of momentum to knock the targets down. An impressive finish to a match that started with the 1 second elimination of Menas by the eventual winner!

In other results: Loopster brought back former partner chaos_Drone but couldn't eke out a win over the rising comb of McDaniel & fraysol. The American Dream of CCShadow & Scott-Howell was too strong for the spiteful The Greek Crisis. It was all just a little history repeating for returned fighter kingjolly, who once again tasted full impact from Mr. MAX Damage ElJobber!

Full Pre-Show 78 Card Announcement

They've been unofficially exiled from The Great Arena since a nightmare run at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, now The Invasion will fight for control over Monday Nights in the main event of Pre-Show 78: Control!

Team leader ShawnMichaels will be out to field his best team to make up for being spread thin at the major. Helping him stack those odds is Jason_Voorhees & edge -- who've already challenged "The Alliance" Oozaru & PaganFreak to a grudge match spinning out of the 5-on-5 encounter at UGP6!

Other fighters who won't be part of The Invasion's team include Rhyno & Grayback, who'll attempt to fight their way back up the Duo Division ranks against hot team rxvt & deadly. Likewise, the combo also known as "Catch 22", Ironize & AcidicWonder, will take on classic couple Dolce & Bofh!

The Duo Division will be on show throughout Pre-Show 78! Loopster will pursue frustrations with McDaniel, who eliminated him from the UGP Battle Royal, and fended off a grudge match challenge on the April 4th Monday Night Invasion! Partner fraysol will flank his friend as Loopster seeks the aid of a mystery opponent! There's no mystery who'll comprise The Greek Crisis! maxilos & proXade will be back in action when they challenge the decadent "American Dream" of Duo Division legends: CCShadow & Scott-Howell!

In one of the most bitter Pre-Show 78 encounters: kingjolly will finally get a shot at evening the score with the man who put him on the shelf in January - ElJobber! The sidelining loss derailed a spectacular run for kingjolly who made the Quarter Finals of the Grand Slam Launch! Back and fully healed, will he be able to outmatch the raw power of one of the league's deadliest fighters?

All this PLUS: Twenty of the very best Division 2 fighters will compete in an All-In Elimination style Battle Royal to earn the right to face Benjamin for the Division 2 Championship at Supercard 78: Spring Classic! Only one fighter can earn the shot - you won't want to miss it!

Friday Night Fights (April 15, 2016)

Another blockbuster Friday Night Fights emanated from The Great Arena on Friday, April 15th! The final stop before Pre-Show 78: Control came with the major announcement: A 20-fighter Div. 2 Contender Elimination Battle Royal for the Sunday event. It added an extra underpinning of tension to already intense action!

The main event saw "New Management" DArqueBishop manipulating his United teammates toward their ultimate goal of the Duo Division Championship. This week it was "The Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime in the crosshairs, considered top contenders after their big win last week! They made it 3-0 with a hard fought defense against The United's challenge. All eyes will be on how DAB reacts to the loss after his shock firing of Hokey late last week!

The Duo Division was white hot all over the card with The Unholy Alliance's Corrupt minions UlcaTron & hydraslash targeting the recently reunited combination of Sekktor & legoslayer10! The seemingly unprovoked attack delivered a composed victory to Lucifer's Ladder. Their motive for attack remains unclear, but hydraslash served along side his opponents as a member of LordSkarlet's KFL team, late last year. LordSkarlet has been seen since his disappointing loss at Ultimate Grand Prix VI in the UGP Battle Royal.

Tensions between NovaStarr and Killswitch began in the same UGP Battle Royal, stemming from the shock elimination of the former by the latter. After a big grudge match win for NovaStarr last week [4/8/2016], it was Killswitch escalating the feud into a 2-on-2 affair! This time it was Killswitch & redman picking up a comfortable win over NovaStarr and injured partner Poasty.

Things were also heating up between: Zentile and Coltess, who've been at each others throats for weeks! Nephrite entered the arena for an impromptu challenge against Scott-Howell, who was in the arena to campaign for "change" in the league. McDaniel & fraysol got the final word on their feud with Piccolo & GohanSon, finally eking out a decisive result after weeks of nail biting finishes!

Friday Night Fights (April 15, 2016):
11. "Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime d. "The United" Shoe & Artanix [+1]
10. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix d. Kiara85 & Stealth-Ninja [+1]

Spring Classic #1 Contender Announced

He made history with his performance at Ultimate Grand Prix VI: Entering the 6th Annual UGP Battle Royal in the #1 spot, only to become the first fighter to go the distance and win!

TonyTheTiger showed exactly why they call him "The Predator", unsheathing his claws in a staggering 22 fighter elimination streak! It was an unprecedented run through the random entry Battle Royal format, made particularly impressive by his ability to endure competitive attacks from former Undisputed Champion Hokey, and Battle Royale Runner-Up LordSkarlet!

So impressed are the powers-that-be: TonyTheTiger has been named the next challenger for the Undisputed Championship at Supercard 78: Spring Classic!

It'll be "The Predator" versus "The Hitman" when TTT takes on fan-favourite UGP champion DECEPTION! The leader of the New Generation showed he's got the goods by beating back Hall of Fame challenger Kron, but in the minds of many, DECEPTION is a champion with vulnerabilities a fighter with moment can take advantage of!

Meanwhile, the League Council is looking ahead to the next crop of challengers, announcing a classic rivalry for a Spring Classic #1 Contenders Match! They know each other well, but it'll be like the first time when The_Purple_Bunny takes on The Great Genku for the right to be called the next in line! Coming off big UGP6 wins against CaTigeReptile and Damo respectively, it's sure to be a compelling encounter!

Supercard 78: 2016 Spring Classic (April 24th, 2016)

VenoMark Officially Challenges ShawnMichaels

Invasion leader ShawnMichaels blamed a lack of discipline for spreading his team too thin to win at Ultimate Grand Prix VI. His plan to seize total control over Mondays hinges on putting together the ultimate Invasion team, but as a stacked April winds down, it could be him who is overstretched!

For weeks; VenoMark has been chasing The Invasion leader in a grudge that goes all the way back to comments made during the launch of Monday Night Invasion [2/22/2016]! ShawnMichaels has done a fine job of avoiding the KFL Legend, hiding behind teammates at Supercard 76, and saved from a one-on-one encounter by a returning Mimik, who showed up during the main event of the March 21st edition of Monday Night Invasion!

VenoMark brutally dispatched his Hall of Fame nemesis at UGP6, surviving Mimik's twisted vision for a violent end to his hatred. During this week's Aftershock [4/11/2016], VenoMark made it known he's now free and intent on pursuing ShawnMichaels once and for all!

It all catches up with ShawnMichaels April 24th when VenoMark gets his long awaited grudge match at the 2016 Spring Classic!

It's going to be a busy month for ShawnMichaels! One week before, he'll captain an Invasion team against The Alliance in a 5-on-5 Survival match for total control over Monday Nights! VenoMark won't have to worry about his Invasion buddies coming to the rescue at Supercard 78, though! VM will ensure nobody gets in and nobody gets out - returning the violent and unpredictable environment of the Steel Cage Fight to The Great Arena!

Supercard 78: 2016 Spring Classic (April 24th, 2016)
- King Ken versus Statix (c) [KFL Championship]
- VenoMark versus ShawnMichaels [Steel Cage Fight]

Breaking: Poasty Possibly Sidelined By Injury

Reports from The Great Arena suggest Poasty could be the latest name headed for the incapacitated list! It seems he suffered a serious fracture while sparring with fighters today, which will likely keep him out of action during this weekend's Pre-Show 78: Control event, where he was expected to have some role.

The incident occurred some time just before 11:30am arena time, when Poasty was sparring with veteran combatants Genku, Damo and Mimik. Rumors suggest Genku was his opponent during the finishing blow, but it has been noted Poasty has been working hurt for most of the year.

The injury couldn't have come at a more disappointing time. 2016 has been shaping up to be a banner year for Poasty, with some notable names speculating he could be the next blue chip stock. He's been a frequent regular during Friday Night Fights, which led to his UGP debut at Ultimate Grand Prix VI and subsequent developing rivalry with Coltess. His last rankings match was a grudge bout on the April 8th FNF.

The impact of the injury remains to be seen. Watch for updates to the incapacitated list during the Weekly Rankings Recap, and stay tuned for developments as we follow the story.

The Invasion Square Up Competition

The Invasion haven't been seen since they suffered three big defeats on the main stage at Ultimate Grand Prix VI. Victorious members of The Alliance saw to it that they were kept out of The Great Arena the Monday after [4/4/2016], rebranding Monday Night Invasion as the newest incarnation of Aftershock! If they thought that could possibly be the end of things - they were sorely mistaken!

After another week on the outside, The Invasion are drawing battlelines against The Alliance!

Still fuming over Oozaru & PaganFreaks' dominant performance in the Alliance v Invasion Survival Sequence match; Jason_Voorhees & edge are challenging the Hall of Famer and his partner to a grudge match at Pre-Show 78 - Sunday, April 17th! Oozaru & PaganFreak will be all too happy to accommodate their wish - the perfect chance for PaganFreak to get one back against edge for eliminating him!

ShawnMichaels has also challenged AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane to put control over Monday Nights on the line in the Pre-Show 78 main event! He says he allowed The Invasion to be spread too thin at UGP6, but when fielding their best team The Alliance won't be able to beat them in a 5-on-5 team bout. Indeed, without the match winning contribution of Oozaru & PaganFreak - there will be a lot of unknowns!

Pre-Show 78: Control (April 17th, 2016):
- The Invasion versus The Alliance [5-on-5 Survivor Sequence for control of Monday Nights]
- "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge versus "The Alliance" Oozaru & PaganFreak

Supercard 78: 2016 Spring Classic (April 24th, 2016):
- King Ken versus Statix (c) [KFL Championship]

Monday Night Aftershock (April 11, 2016)

For a second week, Monday Night Aftershock emanated from The Great Arena with members of The Invasion completely absent, supplanted by those friendly with The Alliance! Indeed, there were some interesting guests during this week's Aftershock revival, hand-picked by esteemed Alliance leader AlbertBeefcake!

Albo himself was a surprise in the main event, challenging King Ken to a friendly match that turned into an exceptional encounter! Ken showed why he's The King of the World, overcoming Albert to the tune of a comfortable win. With the win at his back and The Alliance avoiding friendly fire, Ken presented himself as the first challenger for Statix's KFL Championship. The champ joined Ken and AlbertBeefcake in the arena to accept - their handshake deal giving us our first Spring Classic match!

In the semi main; Oozaru & PaganFreak had their much desired chance at payback against rxvt & deadly. It had been a grudge match when that pair faced The Alliance's UGP dominators last week, but now the rematch was on the other foot! With two close fought matches behind them; Hall of Fame star Oozaru turned his Duo expertise on, delivering the first dominant result for the two teams!

Also on the card: AlbertBeefcake had a special surprise for his old nemesis WilliamRegal, summoning the power of "The Chosen One" Damo to exact a little more misery. The former "Godfather" made light work of his opponent, delivering only a +5 impact in a comprehensive win.

Not to be outdone, VenoMark was brought back to Mondays this week, too. He was charged with keeping WilliamRegal's buddies entertained, taking KurtAngle & EricAngle down in a stunning 2-on-1 handicap victory! With both opponents down and out, VenoMark turned his attentions to the leader of The Invasion: ShawnMichaels! VenoMark said he was lucky he's in exile, because now that he's dealt with Mimik [Ultimate Grand Prix VI], he's finally coming for ShawnMichaels!

Weekly Rankings Recap - 4/9/2016

The United may have made a questionable decision when it comes to the shock firing of Hokey, last week, but when it comes to match selection, you can't argue with their new management's results! Monday Night Aftershock 4/11 Preview

Since emerging victorious at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, the collective known as The Alliance have taken control of Monday Nights! It seems they'll continue to keep The Invasion out of The Great Arena on Mondays, setting the stage for a second edition of Monday Night Aftershock - next week!

Oozaru & PaganFreak will be back in action, looking to even the score with rxvt & deadly, who managed to sneak a grudge match win out of them last week! After two evenly matched battles this is sure to be another barn burner!

King Ken will also be holding court this Monday, ready to take on a special unannounced opponent!

PLUS: AlbertBeefcake is bringing back some of his old friends! He's organized a special Godfather appearance by "The Chosen One" Damo to take care of his old enemy WilliamRegal. He also has something special in store for WilliamRegal's partners from last week - KurtAngle & EricAngle

Bombshell: The United Fire Hokey!

After enduring a violent 2-on-1 beat down at the hands of CCShadow & Scott-Howell during this week's Friday Night Fights [8/4/2016]: Hokey has been fired from The United by their new management - DArqueBishop!

The United Management cites poor performances, and a lack of belief in the 2-time Undisputed Champion's desire as reasons for termination from the group.

Hokey has been a part of The United since their formation in 2013. The original line-up, consisting of Shoe, Artanix, Mime and Murdoink went on to achieve the rare feat of defeating The Barons of Mislukking the following year at Ultimate Grand Prix IV.

Hokey last won the Undisputed Championship at the end of 2015, but relinquished it in 2016 to surprise challenger ElJobber, at Supercard 74: Battle Royale. This was the same event that saw his United teammates Shoe & Artanix come up short against the dominant Hall of Fame Duo Division Champions: "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J.

It was this "nightmare" event in January that led The United to announce their then undisclosed new management. DArqueBishop has steered their course ever since, leading Shoe & Artanix to multiple victories, including an Ultimate Grand Prix trios win against The Invasion. DArqueBiship is 2-0 with the team, defeating WilliamRegal, KurtAngle & EricAngle during Monday Night Aftershock.

There is currently no word on if Hokey will be replaced in the team. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.

Friday Night Fights (April 8, 2016)

With the memory of Ultimate Grand Prix VI still fresh, it was a stacked Friday Night Fights! For some, the aftermath of UGP was still about proving themselves and resolving unfinished business. For others, the new day was all about beginning a fresh start and a new chase for glory!

No match was more steeped in the events of UGP6 than the main event! So hungry for retribution denied them at Ultimate Grand Prix, m0s & Knickxasawrrrr had issued their rematch challenge mere days after the big show! m0s' hatred for ElJobber came from reducing his legacy as KFL Head Booker to rubble - something ElJobber says m0s could've avoided if he'd just tried. Knickxasawrrrr hates ElJobber & Mime for corrupting the soul of UlcaTron as part of their plot. The motivation to win was strong, but once again m0s & Knickxasawrrrr found themselves shut out by the dominant "Unholy Alliance"! More shocking than the back-to-back defeat was m0s' actions after the match. In front of a stunned audience - he quit the league!

There was no quit in Hokey, who found himself in the unenviable position of facing CCShadow & Scott-Howell in a 2-on-1 match! It was a special bout arranged by The United's new management DArqueBishop, who felt Hokey needed to prove himself after coming up short in the UGP Battle Royal. Alone against one of the greatest combinations in the Duo Division, Hokey was hopelessly outmatched, suffering a devastating +12 impact!

NovaStarr had better luck challenging her UGP enemy. Killswitch scored a major upset when he eliminated the UGP4 Battle Royal in the second exit of the match! He felt the full brunt of NovaStarr's anger as she unleashed a destructive performance! Coltess felt a similar result, even though he was the aggressor hoping to take down Poasty for similar reasons!

Murdoink couldn't dent the veneer of Sekktor, who put the final nail in a scintillating three-way feud with Murdoink & Zentile, at UGP! Murdoink recruited old friend Zedox to try to start something new, but Sekktor recruited old friend legoslayer10 to keep the status quo!

In other Duo Division scraps: Piccolo & GohanSon went down to the wire in their narrow defeat of McDaniel & fraysol. The two teams are developing a reputation for skin-of-the-teeth results! Their face-off was a rematch of the April 1st fight which also came down to a narrow result! No such confusion for Jammer2Omega & Porygonix, though. After a disappointing loss at UGP6 they had no trouble taking down "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade!

J1sy showed he isn't to be ignored with his official return match after a surprise appearance in the UGP Battle Royal! VR-FIST took him out during the King of the World tournament last November, leaving him on the sidelines for almost five months! A strong return against his rival made a bold statement. Less fortunate was kingjolly, who challenged the King of the World winner Ken to a clash of crowns. It seems kingjolly is royalty in name only. A slow start in his return after a stunning performance in the 2016 Grand Slam Launch Quarter Finals that ended in -1up!

Friday Night Fights (April 8, 2016):
11. "The Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime d. m0s & Knickxasawrrrr [+2]
10. CCShadow & Scott-Howell d. United: Hokey [+12]
9. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix d. "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade [+2]
8. Sekktor & legoslayer10 d. Murdoink & Zedox [+1]
7. NovaStarr d. Killswitch [+6]
6. Poasty d. Coltess [+5]
5. Piccolo & GohanSon d. McDaniel & fraysol [+1]
4. King Ken d. kingjolly [+2]
3. Unknown265 d. NightHawk [+1]
2. J1sy d. VR-FIST [+1]

More UGP Fallout This FNF

It's promising to be a jam packed Friday Night Fights this week, with more Ultimate Grand Prix VI aftermath spilling into the April 8th edition! On top of the main event continuation of tensions between m0s & Knickxawrrrr and "The Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime -- new feuds are ready to begin!

"The Predator" TonyTheTiger may have dominated the Annual UGP Battle Royal, but in between his record 22 eliminations there were some other tense moments! UGP Battle Royal legend NovaStarr will be on the warpath Friday when she confronts Killswitch for taking her out! Likewise, Coltess will have some choice words - and fists - for Poasty, who managed the elimination late in the match!

The UGP Battle Royal also saw the surprise return of kingjolly and J1sy! Both fighters will be back in action on Friday Night Fights, with J1sy scheduled to confront the man who put him on the shelf late last year: VR-FIST! All this plus much more! Do not miss it!

UGP Rematch This Week on FNF!

It was a grudge match far too explosive to be decided by just one encounter! After colliding with The Unholy Alliance at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, m0s & Knickxasawrrrr are ready to do it all again this week on the April 8th edition of Friday Night Fights!

m0s blames ElJobber for destroying his legacy as Head Booker of the Kombat Fight League in 2014 & 2015. ElJobber destroyed the sub-league at the end of 2015 - an act he calls a direct consequence of the likes of m0s failing to put the work in! He also says that's exactly how m0s & Knickxasawrrrr lost their war with KFL rival LordSkarlet and why they lost again at UGP!

Knickxasawrrrr has certainly had no shortage of motivation. ElJobber destroyed the KFL with the aid of Mime and an army of corrupted warriors dubbed "Lucifer's Ladder". Corrupt UlcaTron was a member of Team m0s before m0s was exiled by LordSkarlet's team. When m0s brought ElJobber back to destroy his enemies - ElJobber turned on them, converting UlcaTron in the process!

In recent months, Knickxasawrrrr has battled tooth and nail to free UlcaTron's soul from the haze of corruption, just as DECEPTION did for "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo! Will he finally achieve it by defeating "The Unholy Alliance" ElJobber & Mime this week on Friday Night Fights? Be here to find out!

Monday Night Aftershock (April 4, 2016)

It was a new look Monday Night as The Alliance took over The Great Arena under the leadership of "Super Friends" AlbertBeefcake & The_Hurricane! In a throwback to his ICWW days; Albo welcomed everyone to the first ever Monday Night Aftershock with an announcement that The Invasion were banned from the arena! He speculated The Invasion were probably too humiliated to show their faces after losing all three of their matches at Ultimate Grand Prix VI any way, but didn't want any opposition to their unannounced takeover.

The first Monday Night Aftershock was a coronation for new KFL Champion Statix! The Alliance were united in celebration for his victory over former partner Banging, and long awaited first title win since coming to The Great Arena in 2012! The Alliance demonstrated their key difference to The Invasion, sharing the moment with mutual appreciation.

In the main event, AlbertBeefcake wanted to thank Oozaru for returning to play a deciding role in the destruction of The Invasion at UGP6. He'd organized a rematch for rxvt & deadly, who wanted payback for their Friday Night Fights lost [4/1/2016], with the added stipulation that an Oozaru & PaganFreak victory would earn them a Duo Division title match. Alas; Albert's gesture of goodwill backfired in a hard fought match with rxvt & deadly upsetting the Hall of Famer!

AlbertBeefcake's generosity also extended to The United, who earned a grudge fuelled trios victory at UGP6 against The Invasion: ShawnMichaels, DaemonX & The_Rock. Albo assured the newly revealed Management United: DArqueBishop that he'd organized the perfect follow-up opponents as a thank you. The United utterly destroyed classic Beefcake nemesis WilliamRegal and KurtAngle & EricAngle in a thorough squash!

Notably absent in The United's celebration was Hokey. He participated in the Annual UGP Battle Royal, eliminated 28th out of 29. Spinning out of the same match: Loopster was granted a grudge match against eliminator McDaniel. To the surprise of many - McDaniel stood tall against the ICWW veteran! An impressive follow-up performance from the Battle Royal upstart!

Also on Aftershock: The_Hurricane was unable to secure victory in an amiable match with King Ken, The Great Genku destroyed SubScorpTile for reasons unknown, and AlbertBeefcake welcomed old ICWW friends Dez-Burnett and Shaggy2Dope back to The Great Arena!

Monday Night Invasion: Week 6 (April 4, 2016):
7. rxvt & deadly d. Oozaru & PaganFreak [+1]
6. King Ken d. The_Hurricane [+1]
5. "The United" DArqueBishop, Shoe & Artanix d. WilliamRegal, KurtAngle & EricAngle [+6]
