Friday Night Fights (April 1, 2016)

Friday Night Fights may have fallen on April 1st, but there'd be no fooling around on the final card before Ultimate Grand Prix VI! The already massive major event continued to swell with 4 UGP Battle Royal Qualifiers, a Division 2 #1 Contenders match, and a fresh grudge match all announced during FNF!

The main event was an affair all together more personal: Mime taking on Knickxasawrrrr in what has been an on-going feud. Their on-going rivalry is but a mere chapter of the saga that can only end at UGP! Knickxasawrrrr will be fighting for UlcaTron's soul when he faces "The Unholy Alliance" of Mime and ElJobber. For brother, m0s, it will be a grudge match almost a year in the making! The final legacy of the defunct Kombat Fight League at the centre of a bitter blood feud!

With history of his own; 2015 UGP Battle Royal winner The Great Genku emerged to absolutely annihilate confirmed 2016 participant NightHawk! The attack was a message for "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile, who teamed with NightHawk at Supercard 76, and is Genku's target this weekend! Genku had the better of CTR during Round 3 of the 2016 Grand Slam Launch, but was cost two title opportunities when she eliminated him from Battle Royale and Tower of Power XV! Genku will be looking for ultimate payback at Ultimate Grand Prix VI!

Joining a beleaguered NightHawk in the Sixth Annual UGP Battle Royal are four new qualifiers: The Invasion's TripleH continued his incredible winning streak with a strong victory over rival RomanK, Poasty and Philip94 fended off a couple of classic competitors looking to get back in the hunt, and Loopster automatically qualified after missing out on the Division 2 Championship shot.

In the semi main, "The Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile got back to his A-game against Loopster in a match to determine the UGP challenger for the Division 2 Championship! The highly competitive match set SST up with a second chance at taking the gold from Benjamin, who had the best of him last month at Supercard 76!

Multiple grudges spilling out of the Pre-Show 77: Grand Prix Show Tournament! Hall of Famer Oozaru gave his pal PaganFreak a shot at payback, taking down rxvt & deadly in a hard fought match! Piccolo & GohanSon staged a surprising takedown of Semi Finalists McDaniel & fraysol! Liam & nif were still too good for Round 1 drop-outs deadpool & MercWithMouth. Two teams who missed the cut opened: BIGkev & acez of Australia beating out Malaysia's AbG & shin! Both were victims of The Greek Crisis, who'll challenge The World when they face King Ken & Bee_07 at UGP!
