Friday Night Fights (August 18, 2017)
The heat was still on for the final Friday Night Fights before Sunday's massive All-Star Summer Showdown! It was the last chance for DArqueBishop to derail the fiendish plans of The Invasion and Evil AlbertBeefcake: who earned a KFL Championship shot at Pre-Show 97!
This week DArqueBishop teamed with Jammer2Omega & Porygonix to take on their rivals, and Evil AlbertBeefcake's partners - Jason_Voorhees & edge. The alliance of mutual opposition proved to be too spontaneous to fully connect. The Invasion trio were simpatico, perhaps thanks to Jason's past fighting alongside Albert in the final days of ICWW. A frustrating loss for DAB that puts Evil AlbertBeefcake on a promising trajectory for his KFL title shot against United: Mime on Sunday!
G0LD missed out on a Division 2 Championship match with his loss to "Wild Pegasus" Zentile at Pre-Show 97, but he bounced back strong to answer the challenge of J-Spit! Officials confirmed that G0LD will still have a place on the All-Star Summer Showdown card, competing in a 20-fighter Summer Elimination Battle Royal!
The stakes were all together more immediate and personal for the recent team-up of Killswitch & jack4813, who surpassed Piccolo & GohanSon in a well earned victory! Killswitch & jack4813 came together against rxvt & deadly late last month, earning repeat wins on the August 4 and Pre-Show 97 cards. Piccolo & GohanSon put a dent on their record last week.
rxvt & deadly found their footing after losing the series with Killswitch & jack4813. They took on "The Invasion" WilliamRegal & TripleH, picking up a stabilizing confident win.
Supercard 97: All-Star Summer Showdown is the Supercard of the Summer - and the milestone mega show takes place this Sunday! "Champion of Champions" Poasty takes on "The Chosen One" Damo in a highly anticipated main event for the Undisputed Championship! Genku & The Invasion will also have a chance to get their hands on Chairman Mick as he leads a team of ICWW All-Stars against them! PLUS: Ratt & NightHawk return for a rematch with Duo Division Champs CCShadow & Scott-Howell! And rivalries collide in a three-way duo contest between "The Invasion" Jason_Voorhees & edge, Jammer2Omega & Porygonix and "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging! Be here Sunday, August 20th for all the results!

Greek Crisis Return For Summer Payback
For the past five months: maxilos has been forced to fight alone as a one-man crisis -- but at All-Star Summer Showdown his partner proXade will finally make his long awaited return!
The Greek Crisis became hapless victims of a reunion that became a Red Reign after Supercard 90: Tower of Power XVIII. It was there Sekktor & hydraslash reunited as the nightmare of The Fallen lifted and a new force combined to challenge the ranks of The Great Arena! In their hubris, Sekktor & hydraslash cut through The Tower of Power -- striking proXade down in a devastating defeat that eliminated The Greek Crisis from the #8 rung!
Sekktor learned what it's like to lose a partner during the April 24th edition of VS United. The loss of hydraslash set Sekktor & The Red Reign on a path of war - unable to forgive the accident that put him on the injured list. Now a Greek war comes to the hypocrite at All-Star Summer Showdown, with legoslayer10 stepping in to second the guilty Sekktor!
It's one of two big returns this weekend! Artanix will also return to join The United in their Survival Sequence match against The Invasion! PLUS: Chairman Mick steps back into the fighting arena for the first time in years to answer the challenge of Genku and The Invasion!
Supercard 97: All-Star Summer Showdown takes place this weekend! The main event pits "Champion of Champions" Poasty against "The Chosen One" Damo in a hugely anticipated Undisputed Championship match! PLUS: VenoMark takes ElJobber into the Steel Cage; Kron challenges CaTigeReptile to be an All-Star; Ratt & NightHawk return for a rematch with the Duo Division Champions -- and so much more! Be here for all the results Sunday, August 20th!

Summer Championship Preview: Poasty vs Damo
The heat is on! Supercad 97: All-Star Summer Showdown is less than a week away!
No bout will be more anticipated than the Undisputed Championship main event match between "The Champion of Champions" Poasty and "The Chosen One" Damo!
They are a study in contrast: in experience and preparation! At Pre-Show 86: Heat Up Scramble; Poasty lost his Division 2 Championship in an upset nobody saw coming! The match was part of an arrangement that already confirmed him for the 2017 Royal Roulette match. A week after losing his Div.2 title, he went out to claim the biggest win of his career with his own upset - when he beat 29 other fighters at Supercard 96 to win the Royal Roulette championship opportunity!
Damo has had a phenomenal year of his own, surprising everyone with his consistent rise to the peak of competition! He was Runner-Up in January's Grand Slam Launch, fighting past a rivalry with "The Hitman" DECEPTION to win the 7th Annual UGP Battle Royal! At The Spring Classic he turned that into an Undisputed Championship win nobody saw coming! He's continually backed that up, establishing himself as the man to beat in 2017!
Everything about this match-up says Damo has the edge! The Chosen One has risen to the occasion in big time matches many times before. His record at All-Star Summer Showdown has been of particular quality, and his fighting skill rates statistically much higher than Poasty's. There's just one catch -- Poasty already defied the odds when he defeated the Undisputed Champion just last month!
The stage is set for an intriguing All-Star Summer Showdown main event! Will it be the dawning of a new Champion of Champions, or is The Chosen One just too strong to be fooled twice? We will find out the answer this Sunday, August 20th! For now - here's how the two match up!

Chairman Books Summer Showdown With Genku
It's a rivalry that's been brewing since Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but for a little while it looked like it might not happen! Genku has been trash talking Chairman Mick since the beginning of April, but when the vitriolic Invasion fighter issued a challenge to fight at August's special Dead Or Alive X -- the Chairman was dismissive.
At DOAX; The Chairman sent one of Genku's old rivals, and ICWW All-Star, Violent`J in his place. In confident victory, Genku boldly declared Mick was a washed up fighter, a failure as Chairman - and a coward as a man! Insults personal enough to finally provoke The Chairman to fight!
This Sunday at All-Star Summer Showdown: Genku will finally get his chance to lay hands on Chairman Mick when the league official returns to competition for the first time in five years!
Mick's return comes with a small catch! To lay hands on The Chairman, Genku will have to first ensure four legendary ICWW All-Stars are beaten as part of a 5-on-5 Survival Sequence!
In an official statement, Chairman Mick said Genku and The Invasion have been allowed to run their mouths for far too long. They've only been able to do so because he has allowed it, and at All-Star Summer Showdown he's finally going to do something about. Genku has consistently disrespected the ICWW All-Stars. His old running buddies are more than happy to help shut The Invasion down.
It's one of two big Survival Sequence matches added to the Summer card! After announcing their intentions during last night's Monday Night Games: The United will also team to dismantle The Invasion in a team bout that will see the return of Artanix!
The heat will finally be on this Sunday when the Supercard of the Summer kicks off August 20th! The main event headlines with "Champion of Champions" Poasty taking on "The Chosen One" Damo for the Undisputed Championship! Poasty holds a win over the Undisputed Champ, but has the sudden cash-in of his Royal Roulette opportunity come too soon?
As ICWW celebrates its 15th Anniversary: the All-Stars will be all over this weekend's event! "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging will have a target on their back as the next generation of Duo Division rivals attempts to make a name for themselves! Marz takes a bitter DOAX rivalry to the next level when he challenges United: The_Purple_Bunny! And once beloved AlbertBeefcake embraced Evil to earn a KFL Championship shot against United: Mime! All this and so much more! Don't miss any of the action this Sunday from Supercard 97: All-Star Summer Showdown!

Monday Night Games (August 14, 2017)
The United beat The Invasion two weeks ago in VS United, but Loopster & Jauger were back to capitalize on last week's defeat in the main event of the Monday Night Games! It was the final straw to set up a massive team battle at this weekend's All-Star Summer Showdown!
Shoe & zelse teamed for a dominant victory over The Invasion duo, who've been a thorn in their side since last month, when Loopster capitalized on a vulnerable zelse!
Shoe announced The United won't stop at their win! The United are going to take care of the invaders once and for all in a 5-on-5 Survival Sequence match this Sunday! Even better: the final missing piece in The United puzzle will return at All-Star Summer Showdown! Artanix has been out of action since Supercard 94: Red Reign, but will return refreshed to complete the team!
LordSkarlet was the one who put Artanix on the bench, but his issues with another rival spilled into this week's Monday Night Games! TonyTheTiger was forced to run the Red Reign gauntlet in a final test before their grudge match at All-Star Summer Showdown! The Predator had no trouble tearing through The Red Reign! Will he fare quite so well when he's met with The Red Nightmare? We will find out this Sunday - August 20th at the Supercard of the Summer!
Thanks to a key contender match win at Pre-Show 97: Summerfest; "Wild Pegasus" Zentile will head to Sunday to compete for the Division 2 Championship! The high risk style of fighting on the edge paid off last night, and helped keep "The Jackal" Maridany from being the one to finally break the wild buck. Zentile will take on Shinnokxz in his first Division 2 title defense!
Supercard 97: All-Star Summer Showdown is just six days away! "Champion of Champions" Poasty cashes-in his Royal Roulette shot to take on "The Chosen One" Damo in a highly anticipated Undisputed Championship match! The stakes will be high when United: Mime defends his KFL Championship against the malicious force of Evil Albertbeefcake! PLUS: Hall of Fame ICWW All-Star Marz pursues a DOAX grudge against United: The_Purple_Bunny!
All that and so much more! Be here Sunday, August 20th for all the blows from the Supercard of the Summer! Special note: Remember that the Summer Grand Slam tournament will begin immediately the Monday after All-Star Summer Showdown. That means the Monday Night Games will be on a brief hiatus until the following week.

Weekly Rankings Recap - 8/13/2017
The United lose their first game of VS United to the ICWW All-Stars on Monday, then produce only the third team in Great Arena history to bear Team Xtreme on Sunday! It was one helluva week with a whole lot happening, and we're just seven days away from All-Star Summer Showdown!
I thought Dead Or Alive X lacked some of the undercard punch you get with a full Supercard, but I'm happy with the way it blended the ICWW 15th Anniversary with a sense of moving forward. These weren't just nostalgic exhibition bouts. There were real stakes and competitors who've been active for the last year and a half. A lot to work with and I think it came together well.
I would've liked to see The Pacific Connection take Duo Division gold out of DOAX. Their matches with CCShadow & Scott-Howell have all been top shelf, but after four attempts, it's hard to see them going further. There just seems to be something about the champs Oozaru & Banging can't beat! It means the All-Star return of Ratt & NightHawk will be more than just a Spring Classic grudge match. The champs will be the underdogs for the first time in a while as they defend against the awesome, unpredictable might of Rattamania!
The next logical contenders seem to be "The New Generation" DECEPTION & Onryo, but it'll be interesting to see what Baraka_MK & MKMaster can do with their most high-profile match to date! It was nice to see Mark & Leroy bouncing back on the weekend after being squeezed between the New Gen rivals.
Pre-Show 97 sorted out the secondary title bouts for this Sunday. I thought G0LD was the lock for a Division 2 title match, but it looks like fighting on the edge has worked for "Wild Pegasus" Zentile! That high stakes style carried him through a memorable title series last year. He'll be an intriguing test for Shinnokxz in his first defense! Evil AlbertBeefcake will be a serious threat to the KFL title when he takes on United: Mime, too!
It's the final countdown to Supercard 97: All-Star Summer Showdown! Make sure you're here all week for the final developments. With so much going on in the Summer, there are still a lot of major players to fall into place! It's all about the Undisputed Championship main event: "The Champion of Champions" Poasty versus "The Chosen One" Damo -- but there is so much more! I can't wait!
