Genku shocked the world during last week's Friday Night Fights with an about face that nobody saw coming! The controversial fighter had been incredibly vocal about his criticism for former associates The Invasion - so much so it led to a match with new management at Supercard 93: The Chosen!
During their fight, DArqueBishop told Genku to get on board or shut the hell up. His words proved unexpectedly prophetic as Genku not only got on board, but staged a coup to completely take control of the current incarnation of The Invasion!
Providing further explanation, Genku has described his takeover as a necessary counter-measure.
Since losing at Ultimate Grand Prix VII; Genku has consistently criticized the decisions of league officials, blaming their match booking for his defeats, and a conspiracy to keep him from being Undisputed Champion. Mostly recently, he accused Mick in particular of nepotism for appointing a returning ElJobber to the Undisputed Championship match at this weekend's Supercard 94: Red Reign.
At the end of last week's Friday Night Fights, Genku dared his enemies to try "screwing" him now. Though a very different Invasion to the hostile force that conquered The Great Arena and voted him Contender Elect late last year; Genku clearly believes there's strength in numbers, and The Invasion will provide him the counter-measure to prevent unfair treatment at the hands of officials.
