The Great Arena is blasting towards Summer at full speed! This year's mid-year schedule is super-charged to get the most out of every week as we power towards the 2017 Mid-Year Grand Slam tournament! The 128 fighter bracket begins Monday, June 19th -- but not before the top contenders assemble on Sunday for Supercard 95: Tower of Power XIX!
Throughout history every fifth Supercard has provided unique opportunity to any challenger able to climb the competitive tower and grab the brass ring for themselves! At Supercard 95, the best fighters in the league will be offered their chance at the ultimate prize when ElJobber stands atop The Tower of Power as Undisputed Champion!
The Top 10 contenders will assemble beneath the Undisputed Champion to form The Tower of Power. Per tradition, they will accept the test of The Challenger 7, who will attempt to endure the gauntlet of ten matches in order to fight their way to an Undisputed Championship match!
If none of the Challenger 7 fighters is able to complete this unprecedented task, The Tower will then turn in on itself, eliminating competitors from the bottom up until there is only one #1 contender!
League officials have already narrowed down their selections for the ten most promising contenders who will make up the nineteenth Tower of Power! Entering at the coveted #1 spot will be "The Chosen One" Damo! With positions still to be considered, the rest of The Tower will be revealed on Sunday, June 18th when Supercard 95 emanates from The Great Arena!
Because there are so many fantastic fighters vying for this rare opportunity, officials have also taken it upon themselves to select three guaranteed Challenger 7 fighters: Genku, DArqueBishop and an unnamed returning Hall of Famer! These fighters just narrowly missed out on being part of The Tower, but will be guaranteed the chance to fight their way toward championship glory!
Four Challenger 7 Qualifying Matches will take place this weekend at Pre-Show 95: Tower Defense on Sunday, June 11th! Stay tuned for all the action leading up to this exciting event!

Monday Night Games: VS United (June 5, 2017)
With rumors of cracks forming within The New Generation, the legendary trio received a special invitation to participate in a Monday Night Games challenge edition of VS United!
Competing for The New Generation would be: "The Hitman" DECEPTION, Baraka_MK, "Mad Dog" Onryo, MKMaster & foahchon! Because there are only three members, MKMaster and foahchon were specially selected by The United to round out their team! MKM was a notably controversial choice, given his role as Baraka_MK's new Duo Division partner, and rival to Onryo!
With Interim Captain Artanix out after a Steel Cage Fight at Supercard 94: Red Reign, The United would be represented by: The_Purple_Bunny, Mimik, Murdoink, zelse & reigning KFL Champion Mime! This surviving line-up accounts for: 10x Undisputed Championships, 3x Duo Division Championship reigns, 10x KFL Championships. and 5x Division 2 Championships! Supreme skill!
foahchon started the game off with a customary challenge for United protégé: zelse! The newcomer is generally seen as an easy target, but there was reason to foahchon's choice! zelse has accrued much experience partnering with Artanix, but foahchon was a 2-time Duo Division Champion with Art! That inside knowledge must've given him the edge, as he earned a convincing victory to start The New Generation off with 4 points!
Division 2 contender "Mad Dog" Onryo volunteered to fight next, setting his sights on the target of Murdoink! A win against a former 2-time Division 2 champ would surely do great things for Onryo, but the gambit backfired! Murdoink executed a convincing victory to even the score at 4 points all!
MKMaster found Onryo's failed strategy particularly amusing, but the laughs ended when he found himself face-to-face with Hall of Fame United fighter Mimik! MKMaster summoned almost all of his power for his attack, but it was no match for the legendary Mimik! He too succumbed to defeat in a convincing fashion for a +2 impact!
With the points margin swinging back in the favour of The United, Baraka_MK attempted a risky power play! Mime agreed to put his KFL Championship on the line, instituting the three points bonus score! The added pressure clearly caused strain in both fighters, but as the more experienced fighter, Mime had greater reserves of strength! He delivered a devastating +3 impact to retain the title and earn 8 points for The Untied!
The New Generation were trailing by 12 points as "The Hitman" DECEPTION set his scope on The_Purple_Bunny! Both earned good wins the night prior at Supercard 94, but TPB had the distinction of inflicting a brutal +29 impact! DECEPTION had a daunting task, but he did not flinch! Instead, The Hitman threw himself whole heartedly into the fight! The unwavering attack was enough to put The_Purple_Bunny on the backfoot! He could only deliver a straight +1 impact, but the extra 3 points meant The New Generation kept The United to the smallest margin of any contest!
So, are The New Generation on the verge of collapse? There was clearly no love lost between Onryo and MKMaster, but with a margin of only 14 points, The New Generation and their alternates have been the most successful team to play VS United to date! The United emerged victorious with their smallest score of 21 points against The New Generation's 7 points!
Ironically, if any team showed signs of fracturing, it was The United themselves! When it came time to vote for the Most Not Good United - Mimik made a strong point of choosing The_Purple_Bunny for his second VS United loss! Not the first time they've been at odds over their performance! TPB did indeed receive his second NGU penalty, but worse still -- could this result damage his prospects of competing for the Undisputed Championship? Stay tuned for more updates!

Weekly Rankings Recap - 6/4/2017
Another great card at Supercard 94: Red Reign. The league is running a heavy schedule, and it's achieving a whole lot in a short space of time! The pace and unpredictability is starting to remind me of the league's first year. The turnover of Undisputed Champions is very reminiscent of year one. By June there were five title changes, and four title holders in 2011. 2017 is the only year to replicate that so far, but could still reach the high of six title changes, established in 2012.
I'm interested to see where ElJobber can go with the Undisputed Championship. Despite his tenure and status, he's never had a definitive run. I was rooting for Damo and was pleased to see him fight a very competitive match. He still looks very viable as a challenger after fighting strong.
The_Purple_Bunny has a major case for contention after his +29 impact win over CaTigeReptile! I did not expect CTR to be put away so decisively. I really believe she's overdue another shot at the big one, but the timing has to be right. A similar story for "Red Nightmare" LordSkarlet, who may've walked out of the Steel Cage victorious on Sunday -- but he took more damage than the guy he beat! That's the damndest thing I've ever seen!
After the cage at The Spring Classic, and the MAX Damage he took at Supercard 93, I really think LordSkarlet needs to take a solid month off for recovery. That isn't what The Red Reign needs right now, but the price of continuing could cost LordSkarlet dearly! Is continuing their rivalry with The United really worth that? I'm not so sure. I think it's nearing the end of its course.
I thought Genku and The Invasion were gearing up to be the next big force on the scene, but I'm starting to have my doubts. Not because they got beat up during this week's Friday Night Fights, but because Genku is already turning on his best men. I sometimes think if Genku was lost in the desert, he'd turn down water! Recruiting back-up was a pretty smart choice. Lets see if he sticks the landing.
CCShadow & Scott-Howell really stuck the landing in their Duo Division Championship defense against The Pacific Connection! It looks like Oozaru & Banging may have spent their last chip on that one. I was rooting for them, but the new boys are just too good! I'd love to see these teams reconvene somewhere down the line, but for now, I'm keen to see who can give both teams a run for their money. I've gotta think Jason_Voorhees & edge will be gunning for one of them!

Supercard 94: Red Reign
For months The Great Arena has been caught in a living nightmare. LordSkarlet and his congress were once The Fallen, but the fall of hydraslash would be the last. They have begun the rise to a Red Reign that will soon consume all! Shoe was the first to be declared, now it is time Artanix pays for his callous actions. At Supercard 94 the red reign will descend upon The Great Arena!
12. ElJobber defeated "The Chosen One" Damo (c) in a hard fought match! [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
A lot can change in two months in The Great Arena, but its said those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. After winning this year's UGP Battle Royal; Damo set about convincing the world of his "Chosen One" status by winning the Undisputed Championship at The Spring Classic. He followed with a compelling title defense against VenoMark at Supercard 93: The Chosen! During that time, ElJobber was missing in action, recovering from the grueling toll of winning an Iron Man Death Match at Ultimate Grand Prix VII. Earlier in the year he'd beaten Damo to win the 2017 Grand Prix Launch, and briefly held the title after winning it at Battle Royale. Some felt ElJobber's return title challenge was an act of nepotism, but the challenger remained unmoved by notions of rumor, or superstition. The Chosen One would not relinquish his status without a fight. ElJobber found himself confronted with an opponent fighting as his peak, but history would not be denied. In an incredibly hard fought match, the result was the same as the Grand Slam Launch Final. The Chosen One was no more -- ElJobber wins the Undisputed Championship for a fifth time!
11. "Red Nightmare" LordSkarlet defeated United: Artanix in a soul destroying battle! [-8/-6] [Steel Cage Fight]
A night of competition had created a mounting atmosphere of tension that snapped with the sight of the descending Steel Cage! LordSkarlet stood beneath its cold bars as he welcomed Artanix into its nightmarish embrace for the first time! At The Spring Classic, LordSkarlet had declared the dawning of a "Red Reign" christened with Shoe's blood. The newly re-dubbed "Red Nightmare" announced the Red Reign would officially begin at Supercard 94! From there, the battle erupted - a violent clash marinated in unrepentant hatred! Artanix took MAX Damage from LordSkarlet at Supercard 93 in retaliation for Shoe's defeat. At Supercard 94, LordSkarlet would finally bring Artanix to penance for executing hydraslash during the April 24th edition of VS United! It would be a victory unlike any other ever witnessed in The Great Arena before, though! As they took turns grinding each others faces into the unflinching grate of the Steel Cage - both sustained significant damage! LordSkarlet had the wherewithal to executed the final finishing move, but when the fighters were removed from the Steel Cage, it was The Red Nightmare whose blood had stained the arena floor! LordSkarlet may have won the match, but the damage he sustained throughout the fight was worse than that of his opponent!
10. Genku defeated VenoMark in a comprehensive victory! [+4]
In their worship of the coveted Undisputed Championship, they are very much alike, but its that very similarity that makes them deadly enemies! Supercard 89: Breaking Point was supposed to be a crowning for Genku, but instead his celebration was interrupted by VenoMark! VenoMark turned a vicious attack into an against-the-odds win at Pre-Show 90: Venomous Creatures when he took the title in a Six-Fghter Eliminator! Genku pursued him doggedly to a historic first-ever title defense during Friday Night Fights, but could not rescue his UGP main event dream. VenoMark's reign ended soon after at The Spring Classic, and with a controversial title bout already made for Supercard 94, the stage was set for a long awaited grudge match! Genku thought a takeover of The Invasion would insulate him, but VenoMark got the better of Genku in a June 2nd attack. It looked as if history would get the better of Genku one more time, but in their long awaited one-on-one rematch, he had all the motivation he needed to finally get payback! Genku brought his A-game to overwhelm VenoMark with a poetic +4 impact equal to their clash of trios just two days earlier! A conclusive victory, but when these two fighters are concerned, it's hard to imagine any result will be the last!
9. CCShadow & Scott-Howell (c) defeated "The Pacific Connection" Oozaru & Banging in a solid victory. [+1] [Duo Division Championship]
The competitive rivalry between The Pacific Connection and CCShadow & Scott-Howell has already produced two bona fide contenders for Match of the Year. Their main event clashes on May 5th and at Pre-Show 93 were two of the closest battles the Duo Division Championship has seen in years! Hopes were high for an exciting third chapter in the rivalry, with the champions seemingly vulnerable after an intense run of competition, including their exit from The Invasion during the coup of the May 26th Friday Night Fights. Alas; it was Oozaru & Banging who dropped a gear in their Supercard 94 clash. They secured their shot with a strong win against Jason_Voorhees & edge at Supercard 93: The Chosen, but when the action reached a heavyweight level, this time The Pacific Connection could not maintain the line! The two teams shook hands as their rivalry seemingly came to an end.
8. United: The_Purple_Bunny defeated "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile in a complete decimation! [+29]
The inaugural edition of VS United ushered in an exciting new era for the Monday Night Games, but for The_Purple_Bunny it remains a night he'd rather forget! CaTigeReptile scored an impressive upset victory for her team, which derailed TPB's goals of winning a 7th Undisputed Championship in 2017! He finally settled the score at Supercard 93 with a strong win, but now that CTR is redoubling her efforts to fight to her first Undisputed Championship -- a rematch was inevitable! The Guardian has shown she's more than capable of fighting for the league's top prize, but at Supercard 94, her powers betrayed her! CTR capitulated on the grand stage, while The_Purple_Bunny summoned one of his best performances of the year! The result was an all-out decimation that was one impact grade away from MAX Damage! The win was much needed for TPB after other recent upset losses, which have been the source of a growing rivalry between he and United teammate Mimik!
7. DaemonX defeated Statix in a solid result. [+4]
Revelations at The Spring Classic led AlbertBeefcake to challenge DaemonX at Supercard 93, but the investigating fighter never showed for the match! Suspecting foul play, Statix issued a challenge of his own, expecting to interrogate DX - or suffer the same fate as Albert. DaemonX looked notably surprised when Statix arrived for his match looking a little worse for wear. Surprise soon turned to aggression as The Invasion fighter launched an attack that Statix seemed unable to match! Evidence suggests DaemonX could be the "Black King" behind a mysterious conspiracy uncovered at UGP, but hard facts to support suspicion would remain out of reach as DaemonX claimed a solid victory.
6. Poasty (c) defeated Shinnokxz in a comprehensive victory! [+4] [Division 2 Championship]
A three-way contender's match at Pre-Show 94 elevated Shinnokxz to his first challenge for the hotly contested Division 2 Championship! In recent months Shinnokxz has truly developed into one of the hot new prospects, leading many to believe his hard work and toil could make him a serious threat to the champ. Poasty's third reign has garnered considerable expectation after two prior aborted runs with the gold. He proved he can shoulder the pressure like a true "franchise player", effortlessly defending the gold with a comprehensive win! A harsh induction into the contention ranks for Shinnokxz, but another promising defense in what could be a career defining reign for Poasty!
5. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix defeated "Brexiteers" Liam & nif in a solid victory. [+2]
The last month has seen a fire lit in the hearts of "Brexiteers" Liam & nif! The long time pairing impressed last month at Supercard 93 with a win over Politics & Menas, as well as a string of victories during the minor shows. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix presented the ultimate stepping stone for The Brexiteers, who've never fought for Duo Division gold! They pitched their attack at a usual level, but found J2O & Pory far too strong for that! The Brexiteers were sent packing with a +2 impact to think about at the end of a confident win!
4. Mark & Leroy defeated Baraka_MK & MKMaster in a narrow victory! [+1]
Baraka_MK & MKMaster forged an alliance under threat of common enemies, but their victory at Pre-Show 93 was just the beginning! A four match undefeated streak has proven their chemistry as a pairing -- possibly even greater than BMK and his former partner: Onryo! The New Generation split to develop their techniques after losing to Mark & Leroy at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, but with Onryo pursuing the Div.2 Championship, BMK & MKM built enough belief to go after the UGP victors! With speculation The New Generation ate showing signs of cracking, the new pairing went to war at Supercard 93 -- and almost won! The remarkably close fought match may go down as a loss for Baraka_MK & MKMaster, but with only a month together, they celebrated like it was a win! Find out if they're still smiling when The New Generation competes in a special edition of VS United - tomorrow!
3. "The United" Mime (c), Murdoink & zelse defeated "The Red Reign" Sekktor, redman & legoslayer10 in a dominant victory! [+2]
When they were still calling themselves "The Fallen"; Sekktor, redman & legoslayer10 managed to upset The United at Supercard 93: The Chosen. With KFL Champion Mime stepping in to captain the trio this time, hopes were The United's Pre-Show 94 Survival Sequence win could continue a trend of domination against The Red Reign. Mime didn't disappoint, making a significant difference as The United coasted to a dominant victory. The Red Reign's hopes would lie in a high stakes match later in the night, when LordSkarlet would invite Artanix into the nightmare of a Steel Cage Fight!
2. Politics & Menas defeated SubScorpTile & ErmackDaddy [+1]
Recent upheaval in the ranks of the Duo Division has pushed several new teams into Supercard considerations. SubScorpTile & ErmackDaddy have quietly earned their place with wins over The Invasion at Pre-Show 93, and Benjamin & Mo2 during FNF. A rare stumble by Politics & Menas at Supercard 93 presented an opportunity to pounce, but the veteran pair were able to steady their course with a confident win against the upstart pairing.
1. "The Hitman" DECEPTION defeated "The Predator" TonyTheTiger in convincing fashion! [+2]
At Pre-Show 94: Blood Gold, "The Predator" TonyTheTiger was booked to face DECEPTION in a standard exhibition bout. What resulted was a surprising upset victory as The Hitman succumbed to an unexpected loss! Refusing to make excuses, DECEPTION rejected claims that cracks forming in The New Generation were the cause of distraction. In a fiery opening match, DECEPTION backed his words up with a convincing rematch victory over TonyTheTiger! DECEPTION will next captain The New Generation when they reunite for a special edition of VS United - tomorrow!
Genku Puts Duo On Notice
Two weeks of impromptu confrontation -- two disappointments for Genku and The Invasion!
When the controversial fighter staged his coup against DArqueBishop during the May 26th edition of Friday Night Fights: it was Jason_Voorhees & edge who chose to stand and fight against DAB and the Duo Division Champions!
One week later, Jason_Voorhees & edge were by Genku's side again when VenoMark led a three-man surprise attack in retaliation for Genku's grudge match challenge for this weekend's Supercard 94: Red Reign!
Genku clearly struggled to hold his own in both battles, and could've been overwhelmed completely by the numbers advantage had his allies not been there! Of course, in classic Genku style -- that isn't how the vocal Invasion leader is seeing it!
Speaking about the duo, Genku has said: "I see I’m going to have to get rid of two pieces of trash who can’t get the job done..." Directing blame exclusively toward The Invasion's high-profile pair, Genku framed it in Darwinian terms: "[You've got to] thin the herd until only the strongest remain..."
Jason_Voorhees & edge aren't currently booked to appear at Supercard 94: Red Reign after losing their Duo Division Championship match at Pre-Show 94. Of that match, Genku has said: "I don't want weak-ass jobbers who can't take advantage of opportunities I give them. I don't want that failure associated with me. I don't." Despite their recent defeat, Jason_Voorhees & edge remain the second highest ranked active tandem in the Duo Division rankings!
The Invasion leader may be talking tough about wielding the axe, but there's still time. Regarding the removal of the pair after their loss to VenoMark's team at Friday Night Fights, Genku added: "That's for later. I apparently have bigger fish to fry in the immediate."
The Invasion also lost the loyalty of Duo Division Champions CCShadow & Scott-Howell when Genku replaced former manager DArqueBishop. Replacements for the champions have not yet been made known. Former Invasion fighters were invited to compete at Pre-Show 94 for another vacancy, after Grayback fell in battle during the May 19th edition of Friday Night Fights.
Behind-the-scenes, the current incarnation of The Invasion has been building an army based on the pieces of the chess board. Genku ousted a confirmed bishop, but with most of the high-ranking pieces unidentified, the implications of changes in the line-up are unknown.
Jason_Voorhees & edge have not been specifically connected to The Case of The Italian Bishop. Statix hopes to confirm the involvement of suspected Black King DaemonX when he confronts him over the disappearance of AlbertBeefcake - tomorrow, at Supercard 94: Red Reign!

Friday Night Fights (June 2, 2017)
Tension permeated the air as The Great Arena was still reeling from last week's shock scenes of hostile takeover when Genku staged a coup against The Invasion! Everybody suspected a follow-up was coming during this week's Friday Night Fights, but it didn't happen until the end of the night!
Earlier bouts saw a modest representation for The Invasion. Rhyno scored solo retribution for fallen partner Grayback at Pre-Show 94, but ]{0MBAT & tabmok99s_wife returned fire with a win against Rhyno and his new partner Zengeance. It was a better result for a solo WilliamRegal when he took on the one-man Greek Revolution - maxilos. The win was something of an upset, interrupting a push toward the Div.2 Championship for maxilos.
The Division 2 Championship was on "Mad Dog" Onryo's mind when he faced arch-rival G0LD. He hoped to avenge his loss in a triple-threat Division 2 title contender match at Pre-Show 94, but it seems the tide is slowly turning against Onryo. G0LD fought hard to resist his rival, putting Onryo's title dreams on the back burner. Shinnokxz challenges for the gold this weekend - a match G0LD will be watching with interest!
Later in the night; Genku finally brought Jason_Voorhees & edge with him into the arena to address the current state of The Invasion, and their future in the Duo Division. He reiterated The Invasion's role as a counter-measure against the "failed" conspiracy of bad booking. Before he could get much further, Genku was interrupted by somebody 'trying to screw with him'!
VenoMark, MKRocket & blacksaibot stormed The Great Arena in a scene reminiscent of VM's attack at Supercard 89: Breaking Point! Genku had dared VenoMark to try something like this when he challenged him to a match at this weekend's Supercard 94: Red Reign! He thought The Invasion would provide a numbers advantage, but VenoMark's back-up turned the brawl into an even matched contest of trios! They completely bamboozled The Invasion, overwhelming them for a hard hitting +4 victory! Genku was left rattled and fuming with anger as Friday Night Fights came to a close!
Be here in just two days to see who walks away the winner when Genku and VenoMark finally come to blows one-on-one - Sunday, June 4th! The main event sees the return of ElJobber to test "The Chosen One" Damo for the Undisputed Championship! Grudges abound as LordSkarlet invites United: Artanix into the nightmare of a Steel Cage Fight; Statix confronts The Invasion's DaemonX over the disappearance of AlbertBeefcake; and The Pacific Connection continue their hotly contested series against Duo Division Champions CCShadow & Scott-Howell!

Genku Explains Shock Invasion Coup
Genku shocked the world during last week's Friday Night Fights with an about face that nobody saw coming! The controversial fighter had been incredibly vocal about his criticism for former associates The Invasion - so much so it led to a match with new management at Supercard 93: The Chosen!
During their fight, DArqueBishop told Genku to get on board or shut the hell up. His words proved unexpectedly prophetic as Genku not only got on board, but staged a coup to completely take control of the current incarnation of The Invasion!
Providing further explanation, Genku has described his takeover as a necessary counter-measure.
Since losing at Ultimate Grand Prix VII; Genku has consistently criticized the decisions of league officials, blaming their match booking for his defeats, and a conspiracy to keep him from being Undisputed Champion. Mostly recently, he accused Mick in particular of nepotism for appointing a returning ElJobber to the Undisputed Championship match at this weekend's Supercard 94: Red Reign.
At the end of last week's Friday Night Fights, Genku dared his enemies to try "screwing" him now. Though a very different Invasion to the hostile force that conquered The Great Arena and voted him Contender Elect late last year; Genku clearly believes there's strength in numbers, and The Invasion will provide him the counter-measure to prevent unfair treatment at the hands of officials.
What will Genku and The Invasion's next move be? Be here tomorrow for the next edition of Friday Night Fights to find out, and back again this Sunday, June 4th for a highly anticipated grudge match when Genku faces the man that cost him the Undisputed Championship at Pre-Show 90: VenoMark!
