Schedule: Even Odds in The Great Arena in July!

July promises another explosive double dozen as we count down to Pre-Show 9: Destination Duo and Supercard 9: Royal Roulette! Tournament 6: The Duo Championships gives way to a brand new era of competition with brand new opportunities! The Duo Division Championships will be on the line just one week after they were decided, when Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon are forced to answer a Pre-Show 9 rematch against T6 finalists and Championship favourites, Hokey & Ninja_Mime!

Scott-Howell & Murdoink, SubMan799 & Casselman, DECEPTION & Onryo, DeathScepter & DaMo and more of the Duo Division combos will be plotting a revenge against the teams who bested them in the Tournament 6 eliminations! Duo battles will be featured throughout July in both the Pre-Show and Supercard formats!

Pre-Show 9: Destination Duo (July 10, 2011)
1. Hokey & Ninja_Mime versus Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon (c)
Just one week after the thrilling conclusion to Tournament 6 -- Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon must defend their Duo Division Championship in a rematch against the top ranked team they upset in the final, Hokey & Ninja_Mime! Owing their sole loss to the Champions, it's sure to be a hotly contested bout as PR & GD go to battle to prove they're more than a fluke!

2. DECEPTION versus Ken
Suffering another shock defeat to Chiefin at Supercard 8 -- Ken returns to battle with a lot to prove! Faded from the top contender stakes, he faces off against DECEPTION in an incredibly evenly matched bout! After a Second Round loss in the Tournament 6: Duo Championships, DECEPTION will provide a big test in his return to solo competition!

3. Jammer2Omega versus Toryn
Jammer2Omega is the guiding light for the next wave of top competitors in The Great Arena! In the eyes of many, Toryn represents the old guard, but with this former-champion recently stepping up his training regime once again, he will go toe-to-toe with a fighter who has made a name for himself for a rapid rise and ability to challenge the best! Will it be old or new who steps into the future in this big time battle?

4. SubMan799 & Casselman versus Bofh & Dolce
With the induction of specialist Championships at Tournament 6, the Duo Division has never been hotter! SubMan799 & Casselman will look to raise their stock and avenge a First Round exit when they meet Bofh & Dolce! The latter pair enjoyed an unlikely berth into the Second Round, but will they be as effervescent against another of The Great Arena's next wave of predicted champions?

5. JRF versus SlumDunk
In a special Battle of the Bottom -- JRF (#141) will meet SlumDunk (#140) in a bout that will propel one of these yet-to-win fighters skyward in the win/loss League Ranks! With a record of 0-5, they are arguably the two most unsuccessful fighters The Great Arena has currently witnessed, but just as STEROLIZER found his stairway to heaven, one of these two fighters will escape the bottom!

6. NightHawk versus GreenLantern versus Piccolo
In one of two special Pre-Show three-way bouts, an eclectic mix of fresh talent will enter The Great Arena with victory on their minds! NightHawk, GreenLantern and Piccolo are all relative newcomers, Piccolo only making his debut at Pre-Show 8! Never the less, they are three exceptionally evenly matched fighters sure to put on a show!

7. ZachAngel & Angelia versus NovaStarr & Poasty
Hot on the heels of Tournament 6, two more teams look to improve their stock in the scramble toward Duo Division Championship glory! ZachAngel & Angelia bombed out early in the tournament in a surprise defeat; NovaStarr & Poasty never really stood a chance. Relatively well matched, it'll be a chance for vital experience for these two teams!

8. SmokeRulz versus foster177 versus Zedox
In another special three-way bout, a trio of intriguing competitors meet with the mutual objective to gain a valuable win under the spotlight of The Great Arena! SmokeRulz, foster177 and Zedox represent a blend of the unrepresented and the fresh faced in the fighting ranks. There can be only one!

9. plfx versus Mandijadeee
plfx returns to Pre-Show competition to face-off against one of the elusive warriors of The Great Arena -- Mandijadeee! Little is known of this mysterious competitor, who has appeared only once previously in competition, downed in a First Round debut in Tournament 5! Will his fortunes turn around, or is another win in plfx' future?

10. bfk versus CAMK
All eyes will be on bfk as he makes his Great Arena debut in a match that is undeniably winnable! With few appearances in his past, CAMK will be looking just as hard for an in-road to establish his reputation in The Great Arena! Whose destiny will demand a win in this meeting of the meagre?

11. EasterBunny versus kibble
He's way out of season, but EasterBunny will have no regard for calendars when he makes his hopping return to The Great Arena with kibble in his sights! Will it be chow time for the EasterBunny, or is kibble due to make a meal of the fighting ranks?

12. MinnyBean versus nface
The Great Arena welcomes to more fighters into the fold when MinnyBean and nface make their double debut in the Pre-Show 9 undercard! With no record to speak of, it'll be a bash as pure as can be as they wrestle with the opportunity to make a strong start in their campaign toward superstardom! Could one of these two fighters be a future Undisputed Champion? Follow their career from here!

Supercard 9: Royal Roulette (July 17, 2011)
1. ElJobber versus Cr0w (c)
Riding high on confidence after demolishing STEROLIZER at Supercard 8, ElJobber will rise to his second Championship opportunity when he faces off against the record setting supreme Champion, Cr0w! In the minds of some, ElJobber has earned his opportunity through queueing, rising to top contender status despite losing his shot against Ratt at Pre-Show 8!

Cr0w defends the Undisputed Championship with the hopes of extending his record breaking reign to a fourth successful defense! He also fights with the potential to set unbeatable records for cumulative and individual Championship reigns. Extra pressure in this intriguing match-up between fighters who've historically proven to be very well matched!

2. 12-Person Contender Battle Royal
Featuring: Genku, Mimik, Shoe, Toryn, m0s, Hokey, Ninja_Mime, Ghostdragon, Pink_Ranger, CaTigeReptile, Chiefin & To Be Advised
It will be a tangled web as twelve of the top ranking fighters in The Great Arena go to war in a Battle Royal for a chance to challenge for the Undisputed Championship at Supercard 10! Rivalries will interesect as Duo Division contenders -- Hokey, Ninja_Mime, Ghostdragon and Pink_Ranger -- find themselves fighting for solo glory. PR's nemesis CaTigeReptile will no doubt relish the baggage of her arch-rival, looking to continue successes in Battle Royal conditions that include a victory in the star-making 18-Woman Battle Royal at Supercard 7!

Another power player from previous Battle Royals -- m0s will look to cash in his unlikely contender status, bouncing off of a loss at Supercard 8 against contender absentee, Kron. Wildly out-matched against the former-Champion, m0s' ability to hold his own against Kron has no doubt earned him as much respect as a conventional win. Far from conventional is Chiefin, however, who appears to have the midas touch, able to upset powerful opponents in a single clash! He'll be the X-factor in the scramble, a threatening quantum quantity to off-set m0s and his eliminator history!

No stranger to Battle Royal conditions, Toryn will take his reinvigorated challenge to the field of eleven with hopes of recreating his Supercard 2 win, which propelled him to a Championship reign. Working against him will be Supercard 8 better, Genku, who's making a strong case for himself as a top contender! Back among the living, Mimik is fighting back toward the upper echelon he briefly tended, but will no doubt also look to supress the aims for a controversial rise to the Championship by public enemy #1, Shoe!

3. Scott-Howell & Murdoink versus SubMan799 & Casselman
Chasing this showdown for quite some time, SubMan799 & Casselman will finally get the opportunity to face Duo Division favourites, Scott-Howell & Murdoink! The affectionately regarded "original" tandem suffered a bitter First Round elimination in the Tournament 6: Duo Championships, meaning they'll surely be out for blood in a match that could very well shape future Duo Division Championship matches!

4. STEROLIZER versus Ratt
At Supercard 8, STEROLIZER looked to upset ElJobber in a match that came with his demand for an Undisputed Championship match. Ever the egotist, it seems STERO hasn't learned his lesson, resulting in another challenge to a legitimate contender! Ratt was incredibly close in his blockbuster main event Championship match with Cr0w, and despite STERO's claims that he is 'clearly not up to the task,' seems likely to deliver another punishing lesson for the over-confident challenger.

5. Jammer2Omega versus Ken
Jammer2Omega is on the rise, the epitomy of the next wave of competitors with the potential to shape The Great Arena! Suffering something of a decline in recent months, Ken will look to defend the old guard against the new in a match that promises to be another well devised blockbuster! Evenly matched and equally motivated, both competitors will be fighting for personal glory, and quite possibly consideration amongst the outside contenders for the Undisputed Championship!

6. DECEPTION & Onryo versus DeathScepter & DaMo
The introduction of Duo Division Championships with Tournament 6 has ignited the already hot team ranks! Representing two of the powerful up-and-coming teams in the Duo Division, DECEPTION & Onryo will look to reassert themselves as likely contenders when they do battle with T6 Semi Finalists, DeathScepter & DaMo! Both teams were eliminated by the eventual title match contenders making them perfect specimens to shape future Championship matches!

7. DigbyRigby versus Kron
It has been a tumultuous rise for DigbyRigby in recent months! Possessing a fierce dedication comparable to the infamous minion slaughters of Toryn, but without the sense of antagonism -- DigbyRigby has emerged as an unlikely power player. Spurring he and kororaa to some of the most dominant performances of Tournament 6 -- this newfound mountain of muscle will test his strength against one of the absolute best! Kron has been condemned to skirt the contendership periphery during Cr0w's reign as Champion -- a bittersweet condition giving him the opportunity to carve a greater legend, battling unknown quantities with his reputation on the line! Could DigbyRigby provide the ultimate upset, or will Kron teach him another harsh lesson in the ways of The Great Arena?

8. Shizuma versus Kairyu
Emerging from the final four in the Supercard 7 18-Woman Battle Royal -- Shizuma is an exciting new prospect dazzling the fighting ranks! With the right measure of mystique to make her an intriguing competitor beyond a brief career, Shizuma brings her upstart powers into conflict with another curious competitor, Kairyu! Two fighters representing the reneissance of fighting femmes in The Great Arena!

9. TonyTheTiger versus Tyrant-Cenobite
It has been months since Tyrant-Cenobite found himself unable to compete in the Supercard 4: Ultimate Grand Prix Battle Royal as a result of a mystery attacker. T-C claims he knows who did it, and will reveal the respected individual when the time is right! All about timing; TonyTheTiger launches off of a valuable win at Supercard 8 with plans to extract the answers everyone wants from his game-playing opponent! The only question bigger than 'who dunnit' is will we actually find out?

10. NovaStarr versus Dolce
It began in April, when CaTigeReptile used her fellow fighting females to launch her own interests upward in a Supercard 4 Battle Royal. It exploded into a full-blown war among the women at Supercard 7! Unsuccessful in her attempts at Duo revenge at Supercard 8 -- NovaStarr will ditch her companion in an attempt at good old fashioned one-on-one payback when faces off against Dolce in a grudge match!

11. Jerrod & MINION versus Artanix & foahchon
The depth of the Duo Division continues to be explored in another post-Tournament 6 encounter between hopeful combinations! Possessing the edge of experience but a question of power, Artanix & foahchon will have their work cut out for them when they face the wild and unpredictable duo of Jerrod & MINION! Tempered competence will no doubt be key to the vintage team's strategy, but with only one win to their name, Jerrod & MINION will be all too happy to make a name for themselves!

12. Liam & nif versus Leroy & Mark
Two of the newest teams to form in the Duo Division -- it'll be another big time tandem clash when Liam & nif look for success against the better matched combination of Leroy & Mark. Similarly scaled in their limited experience and time in The Great Arena, the two pairs seem likely to establish a good chemistry as Liam & nif seek the all important first win against a pair who scored surprising First Round honors during Tournament 6!
