During this week's Monday Night Invasion [5/2/2016] the man known as PaganFreak was left to fight alone without the aid of his Hall of Fame ally - Oozaru. The bombshell came with shocking news that the ICWW legend had suddenly quit the movement known as The Alliance!
It can now be revealed the catalyst for Oozaru's sudden departure was the random draw of Tournament 66! It was there Oozaru & Banging were fated to face the recently reunited Invasion combination of DaemonX & Banging!
Banging joined The Invasion on February 5th, turning his back on Statix and their new incarnation of The Pacific Connection -- a legendary tag team originally comprised of Oozaru & Banging! It was the shocking turn that led Statix to bring Oozaru back to ask for help [2/19/2016] -- a request Oozaru originally denied!
Oozaru eventually did return to aid PaganFreak at the end of March [28/3/2016], helping to lead The Alliance to a massive victory at Ultimate Grand Prix VI! Oozaru may have stuck around, but his originally feelings remained true. He would help The Alliance, but never fight his former friend - the wayward Banging.
The Alliance honored Oozaru's feelings, but clearly the fates had other ideas in mind. The random First Round draw of Tournament 66 forced Oozaru to stand opposite his former friend. The minute that happened, his newfound career clearly came to an end.
The roster loss is a major blow for The Alliance, who recently relinquished control of Monday Nights after losing to The Invasion at Pre-Show 78: Control. Key to that result was the manipulation of Oozaru out of The Alliance's fighting ranks, as well as The Invasion's recruitment of Hokey - who had just been fired by The United! Bad news for The Alliance!
