NEWS: The Union Betrayed - Kron Dead!

At Supercard 14: War of Thrones, several fighters failed to appear for matches they had previously been announced as competing in. Among the missing were prominent names: Toryn, Genku"Mr. Daruma" m0s, Tyrant-Cenobite, queve, and Nemesis316. By Devil's Night, Ratt had joined the ranks of the absent, raising many questions about the dark forces enacting themselves upon The Great Arena.

Long had there been rumors and suspicion of traitors in the leagues midst, but only with the coming of Supercard 15: Tower of Power III has the canonized manifesto of a collective been declared. Toryn -- a fighter with a notorious penchant for shortcuts and desparate power plays -- has been revealed as the ring leader of a splinter group seeking escape from the dominance of the top ranks! The reveal comes with the stunning revelation that fellow turncoat, Tyrant-Cenobite, has been working in the service of Toryn for far longer than anyone could know! The alliance dates as far back as April, including a plot to undermine Toryn's then Championship challenger and longtime rival, ElJobber!

The story of the Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix attack on Tyrant-Cenobite has been well documented, with ElJobber long denying the accusations of a bitter and unprovoked assault that robbed Tyrant-Cenobite a chance at contention. ElJobber finally embraced the claim as a simple fact of the on-going competitive battles that define The Great Arena and the league, even as negative public opinion turned the one-time fan-favourite into an unpopular punisher.

The smear campaign expose comes as The Union of The Human League loses one of its great heroes, the recently returned Kron! The "born again" fighter had led a philosophical and physical charge against Ares Mensclich -- Baron of War responsible for an all together different set of manipulations! This struggle between will and greed, good and evil became a muddled debate for the fighters of The Great Arena, who ultimately came to accept the truth of combat. It may have been this realization that led Kron to do the unthinkable, challenging Lord Mislukking himself to a battle to the death that he ultimately lost.

With Kron gone, the League still recovering from the fractures of Menschlich's challenge, and many other fighters still M.I.A to possibly emerge as members of this new team of Turncoats -- The Union of the Human League will have its work cut out for it as we countdown to the end of the year!
