Tournament 2: Quarter Final Complete

They began with sixty-four, but now The Union of The Human League preside over eight men. The first of their predicted seeds has fallen, but in his place, a new name has risen to champion the people. Only one of them can wear the symbol of the human spirit, only one of them can represent the will to fight. These final eight have already earned respect, but in the Quarter Finals, they’re fighting with everything to gain, and everything to lose. There can be only one first ever #MicksDesk Champion!

Quarter Final Results:
1. Genku [#1] defeated Ninja_Mime in a comprehensive win.
Genku's undefeated tournament streak entered it's tenth stage as Ninja_Mime succumbed to the championship favourite. Genku's reign as #1 seed has gone largely undiscussed, but with a string of tough competitors, it was reasonable to ask if his luck might run out against a solid challenger in Ninja_Mime. The result, conclusive but not too punishing for NM, sets Genku up with his second tournament Semi Final berth.

2. Cr0w [#3] defeated Hokey in a blockbuster encounter.
Cr0w entered Tournament 1 with top seed status among users, but was quickly undone when a snafu against NPC Aqua eliminated him early. Hokey, a quiet contender who had a generous draw in the Quest for a Champion, was probably counting on that to be the monkey on Cr0w's back in his play for title glory. Alas; the recently critical #3 seed fought to a standard that supports his belief in hard work, defeating Hokey in a main event clash worthy of the hype! Though defeated, Hokey walks away with a lot of credibility for his technical encounter, one that truly matched Cr0w, but left him in fighting form for the Semi Final! You've got to believe that these two will meet again at some point in the future!

3. Kron [#4] defeated Chromatose in a comprehensive win.
Like Cr0w, Kron tasted upset in Tournament 1 when he was shockingly eliminated by DaMo in an early round. The unknown quantity of Chromatose may have spooked this headlining contender, but when push came to shove, there was no doubt. Kron wasn't quite at full power, but still managed an absolutely convincing +2 impact against Chromatose -- the only heavy hit of the round. Kron moves forward with a renewed sense of credibility, but will still face the prospect of upset when he arrives for the Semi Final!

4. DeathScepter defeated Ratt in a close fought upset.
The dream of a second Semi Final for Ratt had a lot of people believing, but the fan-favourite's statistical base caught up with him in a fight where he was overwhelming favourite, despite being evenly match on paper. Ratt achieved incredible things in this tournament, defeating #2 seed Toryn in the biggest upset we've ever seen. Now DeathScepter picks up the torch for a Semi Final encounter, but does he have the heart and determination to defeat a seed as well?

Eight become four as The Union of The Human League prepares to crown it's first ever #MicksDesk Champion! Their seeds have been remarkably accurate, with three of the four making the cut for a Semi Final berth. The Championship will represent more than mere victory, existing as a symbol of the human spirit to strive for success and survival. It is forged in the fire of industry and courage. There will only be one champion, but they will stand for all of us against the dark tyrant, Lord Mislukking!

Semi Final Bracket:
1. Genku [#1] versus Cr0w [#3]
This is it! For the first time in tournament history, two seeds will do battle in an attempt to prove their true worth. Genku remains undefeated in tournament competition, but with one of the best records against man and minion, Cr0w will be the ultimate test for this hotshot contender for the first ever Championship. Genku is humble in victory and has earned his status, but I wouldn't expect that to make Cr0w any more forgiving with a Grand Final position waiting!

2. Kron [#4] versus DeathScepter
Nobody could've predicted DeathScepter's arrival this deep into the tournament, which is exactly what will keep Kron guessing as he casts one eye to the Championship, with the other nervously on his opponent. DeathScepter, a bizarre individual known for "unique" thinking, will need to innovate something big to take a headliner like Kron down, but in this game, on any given day, you never can be sure!
