ICWW: Aftershock (10/17/02)

ICWW: AFTERSHOCK                      OCTOBER 17, 2002

Albert Beefcake and Buddy Luv welcomed the fans to the second exciting outing for ICWW: Aftershock. They recapped on events from Civil Action including Albo's battle with William Regal, Mick Lucifer being attacked by his brother and the hardcore antics that continued last night seeing the owner even winning.

The lights went out only to have the effect reversed with an explosion of fire at the entrance as Mick Lucifer entered. Mick Lucifer told the crowd that he never intended to win the heavyweight title, but in fact use it to lure out his jealous brother Abel. He then sent a message to his brother, telling him that he would cleanse and purify his soul with hellfire. He informed everyone that the time would be ICWW: Inferno, the match would be just that. He then followed by saying there would be a two falls match later in the night between Banging and Chris Benoit, the first fall would name the heavyweight title contender, the second for the hardcore championship.

Acidic Wonder d. Patrick Mannion
Patrick Mannion and Acidic Wonder faced off in a tense battle, Mannion looking to get revenge for the beating he received after the Tag Team title match just a week ago on ICWW: Aftershock. Mannion got off to a good start dropping his foe with a mean DDT. The Wonder attempted a Lou Thesz press, but Mannion rolled with it. The Wonder finally struck back with a nice flapjack. In the end it was Acidic Wonder with the Null and Void. Mannion retreated up the ramp challenging Acidic Wonder to a rematch on Civil Action, he was met with laughter.

Unfamiliar music played next as the new Legion of Doom, Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles, made their way to the ring. Rey Mysterio said that things were going to change in ICWW now that he was there, he said then warned Violent J and Marz that the Tag Team titles weren't going to be there's for long. Jason Shamrock raced to the ring mocking the two for even thinking they deserved to stand in the ICWW ring. Shamrock challenged AJ Styles to a one on one match right there, AJ Styles accepted.

AJ Styles d. Jason Shamrock
AJ Styles dropped Shamrock with a flapjack, and Rey Mysterio sent him a chair which his used with authority. Shamrock struck back with a groggy DDT, but AJ Styles struck back with an incredible stunner! With Shamrock down Styles dragged him to his feet once more and dropped him with another brutal stunner. AJ Styles laughed insultingly as he rolled up the shagged Jason Shamrock and got the win. Marz raced to the ring sending AJ Styles to the outside and prompting his match with Rey Mysterio.

Rey Mysterio d. Marz
Rey Mysterio dropped the Tag Team champ with a Lou Thesz press and went to work on him. Marz was knocked silly with a following flapjack, as Rey Mysterio sent him into next week with the 619! In a second wind Marz managed to reverse another 619 attempt, but Rey Mysterio used AJ's chair to knock Marz back to slappy land. Mysterio went up stair, slamming down the West Coast Pop and getting the cover.

Eurasian Championship match
Albert Beefcake d. William Regal

Albert Beefcake made his way to the ring from the announcers desk as he got his first rematch at the ICWW Eurasian championship against the man who beat him for it, William Regal. The two men locked up with Albo getting the better end of a coco butt, he followed up with a frightening rocker dropper. Regal fought back with a nice European uppercut, but the Beefer hit the Albo Bomb and got the cover. Albert strutted his stuff in the ring, taking a page from Rikishi's book - slamming his ass into Regal's face! Regal was furious and disgusted as he ran backstage, not praising the power of the ass.

Backstage Mick Lucifer was watching the show from a television in his office when suddenly Abel Lucifer burst in through the door. The two engaged in combat before Abel backed off warning his brother that the final battle was coming, and only one of them would be walking away from the grounds.

#1 contender/Hardcore Championship Two falls match
Banging d. Chris Benoit

The two friends went at it hard and fast, Chris Benoit opening with a hard DDT after briefly locking up. Chris Benoit hammered at Banging with a hard right hand, sending Banging to the outside. Benoit followed only to be caught with a bottle taken from the crowd!! Chris Benoit was on lala avenue as Banging proceeded to smack him around with a steel chair, eventually planting him with a Kiwi Bomb and rolling him in for a cover
Chris Benoit (c) d. Banging
There was a brief pause allowing Benoit to regain his composure. Banging dropped him fast with a neck breaker but the Canadian crippler struck back hard with right hands. Benoit used a chair, absolutely bludgeoning his opponent with it in a reversal of the previous period. Banging managed to stagger a powerbomb into the top rope, but Chris Benoit was back in his element using his own version of the devil driver and scoring the pin.

The two shook hands, both walking away with their own spoils when suddenly Oozaru came out of no where, attacking both superstars - levelling them as ICWW: Aftershock went off the air.

The Beefer says:
"Banging, Benoit, two falls? Twice as good baby - rar!"
