ICWW: Aftershock (10/11/02)

ICWW: AFTERSHOCK                      OCTOBER 11, 2002

Albert Beefcake strutted his funky beefy stuff as ICWW: Aftershock went on air. He welcome the fans to the big blue event as he announced that Mick Lucifer had agreed to defend his position as number one contender later in the night right there on Aftershock. First Albert requested time to make his way to the announcers desk where he would host the show from, he strutted his way there to the delight of fans.

Highlights of the Tag Team title match from ICWW: Dead or Alive II were shown as Albert announced the recently vacated Tag Team championships would be up for grabs later in the night when two former champs Patrick Mannion and Acidic Wonder would team up against Violent J and Marz - Team Extreme.

Hardcore match
Billy Kidman d. Mad Knifa the Cat

Mad Knifa got off to a good start with a suplex, and a smooth DDT. Kidman was on the reversal end of his suplex attempts but managed to level the cat with a nice flapjack. Kidman struck back with a flying kamikaze clothesline and proceeded to pound his opponent with a boxing style flurry of lefts and rights. Kidman nailed the Cat with a powerbomb and a stunner to finish the match off after a nice pin.

Highlights from the tag team and strap match from ICWW: Civil Action were shown, showing how Oozaru became the second contender for the vacant heavyweight championship. The Beefer spoke with Buddy Luv about the incredible return Oozaru had made. It was agreed that Oozaru had made himself one of the biggest rising stars in ICWW and it would be a great match when he took on Mick Lucifer for the heavyweight championship. Oozaru then made his way down to face the Rock in a match that would have no baring on contenders spot.

Hardcore match
Oozaru d. The Rock

Oozaru started off well nailing the Rock with a DDT, but the Rock struck back with a nice flapjack. Oozaru absolutely wiped the Rock out with a spinebuster, and went to the outside to fetch a chair. The Rock avoided the weapon attack, but couldn't escape his fate at the hands of Oozaru's flatliner. The Rock tried to use the chair against Oozaru with no luck, eventually getting planted with the Lag Buster.

Chris Benoit d. Lord Nomad
Two superstars that missed out on a shot at the title duked it out in one on one competition next. Nomad started the match with a nice Lou Thesz press, until Chris Benoit managed to nail a flapjack and break it up. The two repeatedly tried to use the same flapjack against each other until Nomad finally hit a short powerbomb. Nomad dropped Benoit with a right hand, and pulled out his scythe knocking his opponent down and getting dqed. Lord Nomad was obviously disgusted with the result, letting the referee know what he thought.

Tag Team title match
Violent J & Marz (c) d. Acidic Wonder & Patrick Mannion

Violent J started the match with a nice neck breaker, only to receive the same move and a knee to the gut from former tag champ Patrick Mannion. J tagged in Marz who dropped Mannion with a nice spinning neck breaker. Several tags saw Marz on the receiving end of a pummeling until he finally managed to tag out to the stronger fresh Violent J. J charged in nailing both Mannion and Wonder with the Psycho flip, hitting a chair and pin. After the match Acidic Wonder dished out a world of pain to his partner after the disappointing loss. The Tag Team champions retreated, Violent J holding his Tag Team and JCW titles high above his head.

Mick Lucifer made his way to the ring with a grim smile on his face and announced that although he hated every single person that thought they deserved a shot, he wouldn't be the fittest worthy champ if he didn't defend his position as number one contender. He then left the forum open to any challenger that wanted a shot. Banging charged from the entrance way, wasting no time heading straight to the ring for another chance.

No Holds Barred match for #1 contender spot
Mick Lucifer d. Banging

Banging nailed the number one contender with a hard DDT and followed up with an impressive stattinator. Lucifer made it to his feet and took it to Banging with a rocker dropper. Banging recovered and took it to the turnbuckle forcing Lucifer to the top rope and absolutely nailing him with a superplex, but he recovered quickly! Lucifer charged at Banging with a nice boxing combo and then used a TV camera to wipe the challenger out! Banging nailed Mick with a low blow stopping the momentum and reversed Mick's chair shot. Banging swung the chair at Lucifer again but he ducked grabbing Banging by the throat and planting him with a huge chokeslam. Banging managed to hit a Kiwi Bomb but Lucifer recovered quickly hitting the devil driver and rolling him up.

Lucifer laughed evilly as he picked Banging up by the throat and dropped him, heading backstage as Aftershock ended.

The Beefer says:
"Baby, watching Banging and Mick out there was like watching two candles in the wind. It was hot, and I was being blown away - rar!"
