IWWE: Martial Law (6/17)

The fans were on their feet as IWWE Martial Law went on the air live from the Hartford Civic Centre. As the prized owner of the IWWE made his way to the ring, the crowd went absolutely wild.
The IWWE owner announced that anyone interested in registering for the tournament which would eventually determine the IWWE heavyweight champion, should post their entries to his office.

The first match of the eve saw two old-time rivals in Jesseman and Detnemed head to the ring for the first of the IWWE heavyweight title tournament matches.
Detnemed made his way to the ring, stopping his music to welcome everyone to Monday night Martial law. Det then warned that he felt sorry for his opponent because he would be getting a serious ass kicking.
Detnemed showed he was there to brawl straight up, taking Jesseman down with a classy Lou Thesz press. Even with the crowd behind him, it wasn't long before Detnemed had Jesseman spilling his crimson fluids over the mat.
Jesseman soon returned the favour, and took Detnemed down with a huge Jackknife powerbomb. After a stunner Jesseman found himself advancing to the next round.

After the match as an irate Detnemed came to, he attacked Jesseman with a brutal spear, laying Jesseman out cold at ringside. Det proceeded to stomp a mudhole on the nights victor.

Backstage Shane McMahon was talking to Lotus about his match against a random entrant in the IWWE championship tournament. Lotus was psyched, and Shane McMahon kept the heat on instructing Lotus to get extreme on his opponent.

The next match was also in the IWWE heavyweight title tournament. Lotus was announced and then a pause as Mick Lucifer made his way to the ring.
Mick Lucifer showed his power early on reversing the neck breaker, he soon however found himself dazed by an aggressive offence mounted by Lotus.
The crowd absolutely loved it as Lotus laid the dark one down with a huge flapjack, busting open his mouth! With Lucifer down, Lotus slid out of the ring looking to get extreme on him. The chair connected violently with Lucifer's head, as the referee called for the bell, declaring Mick Lucifer the winner by disqualification, earning him a spot in the next round of the heavyweight title tournament.
Lotus smiled at the bloodied Mick Lucifer still down for the count.

The legendary Josh Heartbrand made his way to the ring for his one on one encounter with the long not-seen Garfield! In what some were calling Garfield's return match, he had to face the cocky favourite to win the title.
Heartbrand took it straight to him with hard right hands and a nice vertical suplex.
Garfield made a powerbomb attempt, but to no avail.
After Heartbrand hit the incredible return to Hartford it was over. JH getting the cover to progress in the title tournament.

In the main event, the IWWE heavyweight title tournament continued, this time seeing Shane McMahon and Jared Hasselhoff face off in a casket match!
Shane McMahon found himself with the early advantage, taking Hasselhoff down and going right to work with vicious punches.
It wasn't long before the chairs came in, Shane McMahon swinging violently with the chair, missing on several occasions.
Shane McMahon set Hasselhoff up and nailed a thunderous stunner, sending him out of the ring! In a strategically perfect position, Hasselhoff was able to recover and nail McMahon with a stunner of his own! Hasselhoff sent him into the ropes ready for another finisher, but McMahon reversed it and hit the rock bottom!
Hasselhoff was out on his feet, and walked right into a huge flapjack. It was academic from there, Shane McMahon rolling Jared Hasselhoff into the casket and slamming the lid to advance in the tournament.
