Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival

It is said in legend that there exists a mystical, magical Dark Carnival whose admission is only open to those on the verge of death. Inside this carnival of carnage is a murder-go-round designed to judge the souls damned to enter. To worthy go the games, prizes, shows and rides, known to some as the carnival paradise.

The last time The Dark Carnival came to their town: "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J survived, but lost their Tag Team Championship gold. As they chase the unprecedented goal of 1 full calendar year as Duo Division Championship now, the circus is back in town and they have an all-access pass! This time they've chosen their opponents much more carefully, to ensure victory on day 350! Come on in and see the show, The Return to the Dark Carnival is about to go! 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Weeee!

13. United: Mimik defeated "The Hitman" DECEPTION (c) [+1] [Undisputed Championship]
His status as a Hall of Famer is owed as much to his legend as "King of Battle Royals" as much as anything else. Indeed, Mimik very nearly won the Night of Champions Battle Royal match, where circumstances sent him briefly into conflict with his United teammate, Hokey. A solid win against Runner-Up ElJobber at Pre-Show 84 earned Mimik his own chance to face indomitable Undisputed Champion: DECEPTION! With main event wins at Ultimate Grand Prix VI and All-Star Summer Showdown, DECEPTION has cemented himself as an Undisputed Champion with wins against some of the greatest competitors in history! The fresh match-up had everybody excited, but few honestly expected Mimik to walk out the Undisputed Champion.

"The Hitman" DECEPTION took the battle seriously, bringing the best fight he had to The Great Arena, with recent defeats lingering in mind. Mimik on the other hand left his past behind him, relishing the opportunity to rise back to the top of the ranks. The pair proved incredibly evenly matched, making the battle a high competitive one. It was clean and relatively certain, but that didn't make it any less shocking. When it was all said and done: Mimik was announced the new Undisputed Champion!

The United Shoe, Artanix and Hokey returned to The Great Arena to celebrate the win with their teammate! Mimik was only recruited into The United in July, part of DArqueBishop's period in control, but his continued allegiance has delivered the top title to the team, and one of the greatest wins in Mimik's legendary career! It doesn't come without controversy, though. Hokey was reserved in the respect he showed his teammate, still reflecting tensions between the pair since they came to blows at Night of Champions. With Hokey in possession of the Royal Roulette title opportunity, it seems unlikely the situation will cool now that Mimik is Undisputed Champion!

12. TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile defeated "The United" Shoe & Artanix and "The New Generation" Baraka_MK & Onryo in a grueling victory! [+1/--/-1] [Duo Division #1 Contenders]
Recognizing Violent`J's hand in disrupting the Duo Division Championship race: League officials organized a three-way #1 contenders match between the best teams in the division today! The weakest pairing was arguably "The Predator" TonyTheTiger & "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile, whose alliance only emerged at August's All-Star Summer Showdown, in response to The United's manipulation of the Royal Roulette match. They suffered defeat at the hands of Shoe & Artanix at Pre-Show 83: Generation Warfare, and were beaten by The United again, in the form of Hokey & Mimik [9/30/2016]. That made things particularly concerning when Shoe & Artanix managed to swiftly take Baraka_MK & Onryo completely out of the match! They used that momentum to make their attack all the more devastating, but somehow, TTT & CTR were able to dig deep, fending off their hated rivals to secure a #1 Contenders win!

Winning and keeping The United away from the Duo Division Championship may not be as simple as winning one more match. A Supercard double bill in October will see the return of Tower of Power in two weeks, where officials will perch Team Xtreme to face whichever combination is able to fight to the top! Being #1 will be a huge advantage for TonyTheTiger & CaTigeReptile, but you can be sure The United and The New Generation will both be eager to upset Marz & Violent`J on the eve of their record setting 365 day reign! In two Sundays The Great Arena hosts Supercard 85: Tower of Power XVII -- October 23rd, 2016!

11. Ratt defeated "American Nightmare" LordSkarlet in a complete annihilation! [+MAX]
With his partner NightHawk struck out of the Duo Division Championship match by heavy hitting back-to-back losses, Ratt set his sights on the instrument of NightHawk's destruction! Recruited by Violent`J into The Invasion, "American Dream" LordSkarlet was used to inflict +16 damage to the challenger, before teaming with VJ to add +7 at Pre-Show 84! The full force of Rattamania collided with The American Nightmare in unflinching response, delivering the second MAX Damage brutality to Supercard 84: Return to the Dark Carnival! They had to peel The Fallen fight off the ground as Ratt claimed total victory in the name of NightHawk. A stern warning to Violent`J, whose plan to avoid losing the Duo Division Championship before a year has made him one powerful enemy!

10. "Team Xtreme" Marz & Violent`J (c) defeated KittyKat & JoelKatz in a comprehensive victory! [+4] [Duo Division Championship]
Anticipation filled The Great Arena as the Duo Division Champions entered to face their mystery opponents. It was originally supposed to be Ratt & NightHawk who would challenge the unbeaten title holders on their 350th day as champions. A hard hitting loss at Pre-Show 84: A Lovely Tea Party forced the challengers to withdraw -- all part of Violent`J's plan. Having promised last minute replacements to officials, The Y2Juggalo brought KittyKat & JoelKatz into the ring of his Dark Carnival! The challengers had claimed an upset win over Ratt & NightHawk in the first round of Tournament 74: Grand Slam [Doubles], but were clearly no match for Team Xtreme! The dominant win gratuitously extends their unbeaten reign to a mere two weeks away from an unprecedented full calendar year! They may be close, but with officials anticipating the tactic, they were assured to have top tier competition courtesy of a three-way #1 contenders match in the night's semi-main!

9. The Great Genku defeated "The Chosen One" Damo in a complete annihilation! [+MAX]
Few fighters have been as desperate for gold as The Great Genku! Picked by DaemonX to be the fighter to bring the Undisputed Championship to The Invasion; he was bitterly disappointed to have been the second elimination from the Night of Champions Battle Royal! Blaming Damo for his embarrassing early exit, Genku sought maximum reprisal at Supercard 84 -- and took it with extreme prejudice! Damo was completely dominated as Genku rained down the fury and frustration of his defeat into a brutal MAX Damage annihilation! A stinging win that couldn't be much worse for "The Chosen One"!

8. United: Hokey defeated ElJobber in an absolute decimation! [+27]
Things might've ended differently at Night of Champions V if ElJobber hadn't been alone with the two-man combination of The United. He may've managed to briefly turn United: Mimik against his teammate, but the ultimate victory was Hokey's! It was a result that rekindled tensions that started way back in January, when ElJobber beat Hokey for the Undisputed Championship! Assuming the role of protagonist, this time ElJobber charged into the rematch -- only to hit a Hokey shaped brick wall! The fight had seemingly left ElJobber, resulting in an all-out decimation at the hands of Hokey! The devastating +27 impact keeps Hokey firmly in the title picture, bolstered by his Royal Roulette win that still affords him a title shot at the time of his choosing.

7. DaemonX defeated ShawnMichaels in a solid win. [+1]
There's been bad blood between ShawnMichaels and DaemonX ever since Michaels lost his battle at Pre-Show 81: The British Exit, and was exiled from The Invasion he steered from fruition. A new chapter in the rivalry was written when Michaels began an unexpected partnership with DemoniaX, using the coincidence of her name to confuse Invasion enforcer Banging! A carefully executed plan to provoke The Invasion helped him convince Banging to come to her aid with crocodile tears. Seeing the plan for what it is, DaemonX took pleasure in returning to the Dark Carnival to face ShawnMichaels head-on! The hard fought encounter went The Invasion leader's way, but for the time being it doesn't bring back his Duo Division partner Banging!

6. Sekktor & legoslayer10 defeated "The Invasion" Corrupt hydraslash & Corrupt MINION in a competitive clash. [+1]
When LordSkarlet emerged as a Fallen version of his former self, Sekktor & legoslayer10 thought they'd lost LS and Corrupt hydraslash to the dark side. With the unexpected turn of UlcaTron, however, there seems to be hope! They jumped at the opportunity to take on new Fallen pairing hydraslash & Corrupt MINION. Instead of a wake-up call for hydraslash, Sekktor & legoslayer10 found themselves in a struggle just to earn the win! They were able to stand strong, but it's clear this new Fallen that's joined with The Invasion is as dangerous, if not more so, than the old one!

5. The_Purple_Bunny defeated VenoMark in a comprehensive victory! [+4]
VenoMark and The_Purple_Bunny have each had their chances to reclaim the coveted Undisputed Championship in 2016. TPB managed to hold it briefly in May, winning at Supercard 79. VenoMark seized on his title loss, beating The_Purple_Bunny in a June showdown! Alas, the rise of The New Generation has kept both fighters on the outer. They saw opportunity at Night of Champions V, but ultimately contributed to their mutual destruction during a chaotic Battle Royal. At Supercard 84, it was The_Purple_Bunny who evened the score, emerging a decisive winner in a brutal competition! Given the way the night would end - it was a combination of wound and salt for VenoMark!

4. Jammer2Omega & Porygonix defeated "The Greek Crisis" maxilos & proXade in convincing fashion! [+2]
It's been a renaissance year for the Duo Division, and at the forefront of this new wave has been  Jammer2Omega & Porygonix. Despite their #1 rank, the pair has taken to accepting challenges during Friday Night Fights to give them the experience they need to topple the top teams. The Greek Crisis have had their own breakout successes, but it's never enough. Taking up the challenge at Supercard 84, they tried their best to prove their supremacy. A better prepared opponent was simply too strong on this night.

3. Poasty defeated Piccolo & GohanSon in a solid handicap match victory! [+1]
Having come back from a career threatening injury just two months ago: Poasty was confronted by the harsh realities of life in The Great Arena when Shoe went berserk during the September 16th edition of Friday Night Fights! In preparation for the upcoming Div. 2 Championship tournament, Poasty set out to increase his power with a special training regime! Having defeated Piccolo [9/30/2016] and GohanSon [10/7/2016] individually, he was ready to fight 2-on-1! The test was no problem for Poasty, whose power level is on the rise since his return! He is now ready to complete the comeback by fighting toward the title he was forced to vacate!

2. CCShadow & Scott-Howell defeated Mark & Leroy [+1]
Back together after a brief detour for the Summer; CCShadow & Scott-Howell found themselves vulnerable to the challenge of satellite contenders - Mark & Leroy. The latter pair has quietly spent the year entrenching themselves in the upper ranks of the Duo Division. At Supercard 84, they put forward a compelling case in a highly competitive match. League leaders CCShadow & Scott-Howell may have emerged victorious, but it was not the convincing win they usually expect!

1. "Secret Weapon" SubScorpTile (c) defeated avenger45 and Benjamin in a competitive finish! [+1/+1/-2] [Division 2 Championship]
Throughout the Summer three names dominated the Championship in alternating pairs. Finally these big time rivals for the Division 2 Championship would meet in a three-way battle! Benjamin was arguably match favourite, with title bout wins against each opponent at Ultimate Grand Prix VI, and All-Star Summer Showdown! Instead, he was completely bamboozled by avenger45, who took him out of the fight early! The clash with SubScorpTile was far more tense, going down to the wire as "The Secret Weapon" showed he has the ammunition to emerge the surprise winner in this war to settle the score!
