How to Play

Welcome! If you've clicked this page, then you want to get in on the action.
This is a simple reference guide to the commands that can be issued in #MicksDesk. If you wish to find a more thorough explanation of how things work, you may wish to refer to the still under construction About page. Otherwise, get ready to play!

It goes without saying that, if you're going to play, you need to be online on the Webmaster Chat Solutions IRC Network. To do this you'll need to find general guides to help you get an IRC client (ie; mIRC), which will allow you to connect to irc.chat-solutions.org. Once you've done that, getting ready is as simple as choosing a nickname handle you like [/nick ] and joining #MicksDesk [/join #MicksDesk]!

Once you're there, the list of commands are:

cheev
Saying "cheev" will not only register your profile, but also start you on the path to building gamerscore. Cheevs continue to add to your gamerscore with each silly message, and also restore your power up to 100 if you fall beneath. Lucky players may hit 101.

!ID
Informs you of your basic stats including gamescore, power, and lives. By adding usernames or NPC characters to !ID, you can see their statistics and information as well.

!fight
To fight, you will need to follow the command with your intended opponent. Opponents include NPC, a user online in #MicksDesk or #MortalKombat, and key Hero and Boss NPCs that can be fought individually.

!RPCheev
Displays a basic command menu that will allow you to learn more.
- Story tells you the basic plot of the RPCheev universe.
- NPCs will display a list of Hero and Boss NPCs you can !ID and !fight.
- Hint will give you useful (and cryptic) strategy tips.
- Fight offers basic instruction for how you start fighting.
- Tournament offers URL direction for Tournament updates.
- Launch will allow you to relive the December reveal of !RPCheev features.
- Copyright for original intellectual property and trademarks. A formality!

!trivia
Begins a basic round of pop culture trivia using the TatsTrivia script. Topics primarily involve movies, comics, sport, professional wrestling, and other interests Mick enjoys. [May be deactivated when visiting.]

!daruma
Daruma 7 is a version of the traditional Japanese daruma-otoshi game, inspired by the giant-size variation found on TV game show Kinniku Banzuke. #MicksDesk Daruma 7 is a game of luck that requires you to input /me hits the daruma to attempt to successfully remove all seven layers without the Daruma falling from the top. A difficult game of chance that rarely sees a winner!

!janken
Rock, Paper, Scissors in IRC form! Typing !janken will issue an open challenge that can be answered by anyone who types !janken a second time. You then have a few seconds to /notice Mick your choice of Rock, Paper, or Scissor before the JAN, KEN, PON countdown completes.

!friendship
Abject silliness that allows users to make an ally, enemy, or worse enemy of a variety of celebrity individuals and random objects.
