Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

April 3, 2011 -- It has been only three short months, but in this time, warriors have asserted themselves and legends been written. From the elimination stages of Tournament 1 and the Quest for Champion at Tournament 2, to the epic feuds between warrior champions at Triple Double and The Long Hard Road; The Great Arena has already played host to some of the most epic tales we will ever see. This is the culmination of these trials -- the rise of legends as immortals, and their ultimate test before attaining fighting godhood.

April 3 will forever be a day marked in history.
It will be the moment when a champion proved his worth in front of doubting peers. A day when an Iron Man proved he was capable of achieving the impossible. A day when the power of a partnership overcame a threat of elemental proportions. A day when battlelines were drawn and a people decided the time to fight had come. This is Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

10. Lord Mislukking defeated Toryn in an impromptu +25 decimation!
A dejected ElJobber was left to the history books, but Toryn's lavish celebrations would be shortlived. For the first time in the history of competition, Lord Mislukking himself entered the arena! With his Barons defeated in the match prior, Mislukking looked more than ready to defend his side from any question. An impromptu challenge was to break out, leaving the Champion embarassed and utterly decimated under a crushing +25 onslaught!

With so many triumphs of the human spirit documented at this Supercard 4, it was an unfortunately sombre conclusion to the biggest moment in the history of The Great Arena! Though his barons lay broken, it was Lord Mislukking who had the last laugh, crushing the people's champion. With both sides now firing openly, can this mean all-out war between the factions of Mislukking and The Union of the Human League? Or will one individual find a way to bring peace to the war zone? This will be the story of the supercards that follow!

9. Toryn (c) defeated ElJobber in an incredibly close win!
It was a meeting of unknown quantities in the Supercard main event. Toryn only captured the championship weeks earlier, bringing with him the ire that has made him one of the most detested fighters in The Great Arena. On his side, however, was history: undefeated circumstances that would see 2011 Battle Royale contender and fighter with momentum, ElJobber, enter less than favourite.

Toryn's clean win over ElJobber at Tournament 1 would prove an accurate measure of their Championship rematch. ElJobber showed tremendous might and grit in his challenge, but Toryn once again over achieved with the belt on the line, battling to a narrow victory over the January contender. Though ElJobber's dreams of becoming champion were dashed, with this defense secured, Toryn must now be acknowledged as a worthy Champion! Love or hate him, Toryn has now overcome two of the biggest names in The Great Arena -- but will he able to do it again when the title goes on the line once again at Supercard 5: Tower of Power? Can he possibly resist the overwhelming swell of support for Ratt? Time will tell...

8. Cr0w & Kron defeated Famine & Pestilence in a devastating +18 decimation!
Anticipation for the team-up between Cr0w and Kron was intense! Not only was this a rare uniting of polar super-powers, it was also a clash of polar super-powers! For months, The Order of Barons under Lord Mislukking have gone almost completely unopposed. That changed during the build-up to Supercard 4 when Cr0w achieved the milestone of an exhibition victory over Ares Menschlich, the Baron of War. Could that possibly carry over to a clash with -two- Barons, under the tense conditions of an unholy alliance between The Great Arena's most storied rivals?! Apparently... yes!

Cr0w and Kron showed no signs of animosity in their duo clash with Bez Busshitsu and Praga Conquette! Under the spotlight of the greatest event in the history of organized competition, the Barons appeared to lose their ominous powers, patsys for the combined might of Cr0w and Kron! Perhaps inspired by the triumphs of Ratt, the pair unleashed a punishing decimation the likes of which noone could've anticipated! The encounter left Famine and Pestilence broken and embarassed! The result sends a clear message to Lord Mislukking and his forces, who have been increasing pressure on the Human League fighters in recent weeks.

Though the victory was as conclusive as it was sweet, denizens of the Cheevment Kingdom must wonder if they can rely on the union of their two greatest champions. Post-fight, tensions resumed between Cr0w and Kron, neither willing to conceed a team effort. As the greatest rivalrly The Great Arena has ever seen, it can only be a matter of time before these two titans collide once more -- let us hope it is not at the expense of everyone else!

7. Ratt defeated Revenant Genku in a comprehensive win!
Having already won the Battle Royal earlier in the day and competed in a team match at Pre-Show 4, Ratt was asking a lot of himself to come face-to-face with Revenant Genku! Genku had the better of Ratt in their last meeting, but the psychological advantage was nil for a Ratt so ready to defy the odds!

The result was never in doubt as Ratt maintained his speeding bullet momentum, running over Genku in what could have been an utter decimation had he not expelled so much energy in previous matches! Revenant Genku must have been wishing he was dead again as the applause of the crowd buoyed a Ratt who achieved three massive wins in two days! Ratt is now hot favourite to be #1 contender, but he'll have to fend off the best of the ten before he can face the winner of Toryn and ElJobber at the April 17 Supercard, Tower of Power! Assuming, of course, the council determining the unofficial rankings agree with the people...

6. Hokey & Ninja_Mime defeated DeathScepter & DaMo in a punishing +13 team decimation!
When Hokey & Ninja_Mime picked up a team victory at Supercard 3, they probably thought it was going to be a one-off showing. With success comes a bullseye, however, and DeathScepter and DaMo were keen to make a name for themselves off of the success of the makeshift duo.

The bizarre pairing were punished for their gluttony with a +13 beatdown that left DeathScepter clinging to life. The domination exhibited by Hokey & Ninja_Mime now raises the question of whether or not they can survive an inevitable meeting at Tower of Power, to continue their success as a two-time undefeated team-up!

5. Mimik defeated TonyTheTiger in a ranking decimation!
TonyTheTiger's campaign to climb the rankings had started quite well at Supercard 3, where he got the best of Porygonix. The Tournament 3 winner wasn't going to be as accomodating, however, particularly not with the rankings meaning so much ahead of Supercard 5: Tower of Power!

It was a no nonsense decimation of TonyTheTiger's challenge and hopes of getting an easier ticket toward the Undisputed Championship at SC5! Mimik was dominant, showing the strength of a fighter who has matured significantly over the course of three months. Mimik can now be confident that he will hold a ranking position when the unofficial top ten are announced for ladder spots at the Tower of Power! For TonyTheTiger -- it's back to the drawing board!

4. Scott-Howell & Murdoink defeated Artanix & foahchon in their surprise return to The Great Arena!
Just as The_Purple_Bunny had returned to life in the Battle Royal, so too did Artanix and foahchon make their unexpected arrival as "Mystery Opponents" for The Great Arena's first true team, Scott-Howell & Murdoink!

Despite the shocking spectacle of their entrance into competition, the revived fighters were no match for the combined experience of Scott-Howell & Murdoink. There could be no malice in the occasion, however, as the quartet enjoyed the rare moment. Scott-Howell & Murdoink will presumably move forward from their win with eyes toward establishing themselves as the best competitive team in The Great Arena! What Artanix & foahchon intend to do with their newfound life, remains to be seen.

3. Aquilluxborg Hydroxybot defeated SixArmedSamurai in a hard fought battle!
They are two of the more elusive warriors when it comes to competing in The Great Arena, not sanctioned by The Union of the Human League. With such a grand stage, it would have been remiss to deny them the opportunity to do combat. Though rarely seen under these conditions, the pair put on an exceptional showing, incredibly evenly matched despite the vast differences in their skills!

2. Ratt (#18) eliminated Shoe (#11) to win the Battle Royal!
A random entry of thirty-one competitors was on the card; nine guaranteed qualifiers, six pre-announced competitors, the winner of Tournament 4, Shoe, and the extra "iron man" Ratt, who would also face Revenant Genku later in the night, all lined up waiting to go!

Starting the match at #1 and #2 respectively, unixpunk and xtactics represented the long and short of it, in terms of experience in The Great Arena and in Battle Royal situations. Attacks were fast and furious making them the first candidates for a Battle Royal rivalry, but xtactics would find a more personal foe in #10 Porygonix, who had been Kron's protege before the former-champ eyed xtactics off as the next big thing. Porygonix made his rival elimination #5.

#3 kororaa found herself a nemesis in infamous Battle Royal fixture, STEROLIZER (#5). They exchanged many blows, before STERO was the #4 elimination. Though a humiliating exit, it was a vast improvement on STERO's 2011 Battle Royale showing, where he went out #1 the instant he entered!

Tournament 4 winner, Shoe, arrived early at #11, "Iron Man" Ratt made his big entrance at #18. The pair added to Porygonix and m0s (#9) as power players in the battle. "Big John" Bofh (#20) put in a good show, eliminating Ghostdragon (#12) just a minute after entering the match.

#21 CaTigeReptile made an early impact, shrugging off the advances of m0s to eliminate GuiltyByDesign, kororaa, and AlexanderLuthorJr, before exiting courtesy of the somewhat missing fan-favourite DECEPTION (#29). The_Purple_Bunny was an even bigger surprise entrant, however, apparently returning from the dead to enter at #26. His lifeline was cut after twenty-five minutes by Ratt -- but we're sure to see plenty more from The_Purple_Bunny in the coming months.

In the end, the stars of the show had to be Ratt, m0s, and Porygonix, who collectively eliminated over half the field! Ratt -- a man already famous for doing the impossible in a Battle Royal -- ended the bout with an impressive seven eliminations, one better than m0s and three more than Porygonix! In the end, it came down to Ratt and Shoe, a well fought, but academic conclusion to a match that went one hour and four minutes.

Celebrations were cut short for Ratt as he exited to prepare for his third match in the weekend against arch-rival Revenant Genku. Those celebrations were much shorter than Tyrant-Cenobite's, however. Despite qualifying for guaranteed entry into the random thirty-one person draw, Tyrant was nowhere to be seen! Why he failed to enter a match he fought hard to earn his way into is a question we can only ask until he emerges!

1. Mark defeated rxvt in a close fought grudge match!
It was at Pre-Show 3 that it seemed these two would miss their opportunity to appear at the biggest event of them all. After failing to qualify for the Thirty-Person Battle Royal by the slimmest of margins, their fortunes were gambled on a team bout against xtactics & Celeste at Pre-Show 4, where rxvt & Mark came up short once again.

This unlikely turn of events is what bought them a ticket to the undercard as rxvt turned his ire toward one-time partner, Mark. Blaming him for their defeat, rxvt sought revenge, only to be humbled on the grandest stage of them all. It was a hard fought encounter, won by the slimmest of margins, but in the end, rxvt could only fume in the face of defeat!

0. A special introduction by Mick and Ares Menschlich
In an incredibly rare moment, Mick entered The Great Arena alongside the Baron of War, Ares Menschlich. As the two leading proponents of organized competition, they personally thanked everyone for their on-going participation and attendance in "The Arena". With a marquee team match between Cr0w & Kron and The Barons of Famine & Pestilence, it was an understandably tense moment, but War's dedication to combat remained evident throughout proceedings.

Mick acknowledged all the human fighters who have contributed to the unfolding saga of The Great Arena, but singled out one fighter who took the coward's way out -- Genku. He described Genku's 'resurrection' as a new, unprecedented dimension in the rivalry between his and War's factions and a potential turning point he did not intend to endorse. Mick bathed the arena in a pure white light and declared that on this, the single most important day in Supercard history, there would be LIFE!

Exactly what that had meant would become apparent as Supercard 4 unfolded...

Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up!

April 2, 2011 -- With the weight of the biggest Supercard in history hanging over The Great Arena, the atmosphere was intense. This Saturday Pre-Show may have been designed as a warm-up for things to come, but for fifteen of competitors entering Tournament 4, Pre-Show 4 would be their main event!

As it would happen, three competitors would be vying for an opportunity to progress to a Thirty-Person Battle Royal at the biggest event of all time, with rxvt & Mark pitting their odds against qualifying Pre-Show 3 rivals, xtactics & Celeste, in a second roll of the dice!

A fourth man would exit Pre-Show 4 with designs to win the Grand Prix mixer, a surprise big enough to eclipse the emergence of one of the fabled fighting figures from outside The Great Arena -- the awaited arrival of one of the elusive 7 Masters! The answers lie ahead in the final stop before the Great Arena saga enters its biggest chapter -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

3. Ken & Ratt defeated m0s & STEROLIZER in a team decimation!
Given Ken's recent history with m0s and STEROLIZER, it was far from a lighthearted affair in this Grand Prix Battle Royal preview. Adding to the weight of the encounter, Ratt's marquee double that turned into a triple, when he used the Battle Royal preview match as a launching pad to announce himself as a special thirty-first entrant into the Grand Prix scramble! Ratt famously earned his "Iron Man" reputation when he lasted over an hour at Supercard 1: 2011 Battle Royale!

The decision came during euphoric celebrations after Ken and Ratt marched to a comprehensive victory over the challengers in this main event. Just as they had when Ken answered Ratt's open challenge at Pre-Show 3, the makeshift pairing remained amicable, knowing full well that they could be forced to do combat at the biggest showcase of them all -- a Supercard where Ratt will face the overwhelming odds of a Thirty-One Person Battle Royal, before butting heads with Revenant Genku in one of the many marquee matches scheduled for Supercard 4!

2. Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen defeated Supreme Warrior
It was a moment of shock and awe! Long have there been rumors of a fabled stable of 7 Masters, but until now, no one could've been certain if it was fact or fiction! Despite the electric presence of this master of martial arts, the Supreme Warrior appeared in his element, thrilled to have had his open challenge answered by such an awe inspiring force. The Supreme Warrior was positively swelling in the presence of a fighter who has been claimed to be able to harness the energy of cheevs to be redirected as force.

Grandmaster Wah Hung-Shen did not disappoint, unleashing a power that no mere mortal in The Great Arena could hope to comprehend. His victory over Supreme Warrior was as comprehensive as it was humble. The Grandmaster left as quickly as he came, accompanied by two of his martial arts disciples. The demonstration no doubt sends a clear message to Lord Mislukking, who is said to have assumed membership within the 7 Masters upon his arrival in the Cheevment Kingdom, when he is said to have killed one of them.

1. xtactics & Celeste defeated rxvt & Mark in a close match!
With their guaranteed positions in the Thirty-Person Battle Royal on the line, it was a tentative team-up between xtactics and Celeste. It was at Pre-Show 3 that each of them scored narrow victories over rxvt and Mark in the qualifying rounds, creating fair question for their ability to withstand a second round. Fortunately for them, they did exactly that!

First-time pairings both, they put in an exceptionally close matching, equal in every way to the close fought qualifying matches that produced this grudge bout! The closeness of the fight provided little consolation to rxvt, who blamed his partner for their lack of success. Oozing venom and contempt, rxvt challenged partner, Mark, to a match in the near future!

Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up First Round:
1. Casselman defeated ThePredator151 in a nail biter!
2. kingjolly defeated Politics by a narrow margin!
3. Jerrod defeated Vultyrex in another close fight!
4. NovaStarr defeated Skaven13 in another nail biter!
5. ScottK defeated muttonhead in another close match!
6. Jammer2Omega defeated CCShadow in a solid win.
7. Shoe defeated SlumDunk in a comprehensive win.
8. SubMan799 defeated JRF in another narrow win!

Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up Second Round:
1. Casselman defeated kingjolly by a narrow margin!
2. Jerrod defeated NovaStarr in a close fight!
3. Jammer2Omega defeated ScottK in a comprehensive +3 win!
4. Shoe defeated SubMan799 in a +4 decimation!

Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up Semi Finals:
1. Casselman defeated Jerrod in a solid win.
Emerging from two exceptionally close fought battles, Casselman finally appeared to be hitting his stride in the Semi Final, exhibiting the strengths acquired from recent extra-event competition. Though it was a modest impact in result, Casselman showed the promise of a potential up-and-comer in The Great Arena, delivering a victory that could've been more punishing under different circumstances.

2. Shoe defeated Jammer2Omega in a comprehensive win!
You could be forgiven for thinking Shoe was a Great Arena veteran, completely forgetting that Tournament 4 marked his debut in organized competition! The debuting fighter quickly established himself a firm favourite in the early rounds, one of only two fighters to do away with their opponents in convincing fashion. To this point, Jammer2Omega had been the other warrior to look fit enough to progress to the Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal, but his streak was ended early by the dominant Shoe!

Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up Final:
1. Shoe defeated Casselman in a +5 decimation!
Despite glimpses at future potential, Casselman was no match for the clear favourite! Having dismissed a more convincing challenger in the previous round, Shoe marched to a punishing victory, looking like a seasoned competitor more than ready to hang with the upper echelon! His victory not only secures a place in the Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal, but also asserts Shoe as a future contender in The Great Arena! His acid test will come when he goes toe-to-toe with an eclectic mix of fighters that include Ken, Porygonix, Chromatose, m0s, and after his shock announcement, a thirty-first entrant, Ratt!

With Pre-Show 4 officially concluded, anticipation for the biggest event in the history of The Great Arena could not be higher! Business will officially pick up tomorrow when the biggest names in competition arrive for Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

"The Iron Man" Ratt looks to do the impossible when he completes a circuit of three matches in one weekend, challenging a Thirty-One Person Battle Royal before ending his feud with the undead Revenant Genku! Cr0w & Kron put their differences aside in an attempt to "End Famine and Pestilence" in The Great Arena! Toryn defends his Undisputed Championship against hot contender, ElJobber, and so much more! The time is now! Immortality is within reach, history beckons! Do not miss it -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

HYPE: Who Are the 7 Masters? (And More!)

Not a hoax! Not a dream! Not an imaginary story!

Everyone knows about Lord Mislukking's violent arrival in the Cheevment Kingdom and conquest of the throne, but what most don't know about are the intricate details that surrounded his rapid rise. Long before these dark times, balance was maintained by a secretive group known as the Seven Masters. Though their relevance had waned, the arrival of Lord Mislukking meant the death of one of their number and a vile reminder of their importance.

Lord Mislukking now counts himself among the order of time honored masters, but with the biggest moment in Great Arena history mere days away, rumors have spread throughout the land of a return for one of the 7 Masters. Who they are and what they intend to do will remain to be seen, but if these 7 Masters truly exist beyond myth, then Lord Mislukking's seemingly unchallenged hold may finally be subject to change.

With the big weekend kicking off tomorrow, there will be no April Fools here! Only a final flurry of announcements and comments in the build toward the biggest event in the history of The Great Arena -- the opportunity for immortality -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

- More Mysterious Men Meet at Supercard 4!
They haven't been seen in The Great Arena since Tournament 1, but it can be officially announced that the SixArmedSamurai will face off against Aqua in a very special exhibition bout on the Supercard 4 showcase! Their battle is sure to be intense!

- ElJobber Confident Ahead of Championship match!
The Battle Royale 2011 winner has been forced to admit the statistical mountain he faces when he meets current Undisputed Champion, Toryn, at Supercard 4. In a recent tale of the tape, it was pointed out that ElJobber has never defeated Toryn, who also owns a more complete list of victories and accolades. Even so, ElJobber has been supremely confident ahead of his Sunday main event, promising to bring the Undisputed Championship back to the people.

- The Tower of Power is Coming!...
The stakes are already high as we countdown to Supercard 4, but they're about to get even higher as The Great Arena announces Supercard 5: The Tower of Power -- a special April 17 event that will grant up to fourteen competitors the opportunity to challenge for the Undisputed Championship! An announcement will be made after Supercard 4 concerning the new unofficial top ten rankings, which will then create a ladder of contestants who will fight consecutive elimination matches until the last man standing challenges Toryn or ElJobber for the Undisputed Championship!

- "The Iron Man" Ratt is Ready to Make History!
Two big matches in two big days -- all just a day in the life of "The Iron Man" Ratt, who will not only face-off against Revenant Genku in the biggest show of the year, but will also warm-up with a Pre-Show 4 team battle against m0s & STEROLIZER! Anyone convinced the marathon man is biting off more than he can chew would do well to pay attention to the breaking news -- Ratt has picked up his 1000th victory in and out of the Great Arena! No mean feat and a stern warning to Genku and his conspirators!

- Cr0w & Kron Vow to End Famine & Pestilence!
Their relationship remains incredibly tense, but these two legends of The Great Arena remain dedicated to the prospect of finally putting a dent in the arrogant rule of the Order of the Four Barons! They'll need to work together, though. After Cr0w picked up the first ever win over War during the week -- the Baron unleashed a newfound enthusiasm for punishment, which included exhibition wins over both fighters, individually!

HYPE: Revenant Genku vs Ratt II Confirmed!

When Ratt booked himself a showdown against Genku for Pre-Show 3, it seemed like any other fight. Genku chose to throw himself upon the sword of Lord Mislukking in the build-up, however, leaving everyone guessing about who would be Ratt's replacement opponent. The last person Ratt expected to walk down The Long Hard Road was Genku himself!

Genku was recently revealed to have been risen from his grave by Sinvida Von Grimm -- The Baron of Death. Possessing all the powers he had in life, Revenant Genku got the better of Ratt in his surprise arrival at Supercard 3 -- but has remained silent amidst Ratt's fevered calls for a rematch against the dishonored deadman.

The silence has been broken, however, as Revenant Genku is submitted for a rematch against Ratt on the biggest stage of them all -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular! The clash will be a marquee battle on the April 3 card, which includes a frontline fight between representatives of The Union of The Human League, Cr0w & Kron, and Mislukking's Barons of Famine and War, Bez Busshitsu & Praga Conquette.

Ironically enough, the blow-up between the two factions began when Ratt was ambushed by Famine at Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption in a second response to his open challenge (after a victory over Ken). The underhanded tactic was enough to inspire Cr0w to declare a need to "End Famine" in The Great Arena amidst growing tensions between Human League fighters and Lord Mislukking's horsemen.

Of course, Revenant Genku's entry into the challenge is itself seems to have come under similar circumstances, with Ratt already accepting a place in the April 2 Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up, where he will tag with Ken in a preview of the Supercard Sunday Battle Royal! Given the timing, it's almost certain that the obligation is exactly what the Mislukking camp was waiting for. If anyone can tackle the challenge of two matches in two nights, it's "The Iron Man" Ratt -- the fan-favourite who earned a reputation for true grit after he lasted over an hour in the Forty-Person Battle Royale of Supercard 1!

HYPE: War Philosophical Ahead of Supercard!

As one of the most present and dangerous members of The Order of Four Barons, Ares Mensclich has earned a reputation as a fighter not to be messed with. Affectionately known as the Baron of War, he has made a habit of finishing fights with convincing certainty, delighting in the art of combat wherever it presents itself!

So confident was Menschlich that, during Tournament 1, he removed himself from the Finals stages, satisfied that no fighter would be able to defeat him in fair combat! A fact that was true until yesterday, when an unofficial battle between he and former Undisputed Champion, Cr0w, produced War's first defeat in 147 battles!

Desipte a character that embraces conflict, the Baron of War has been philosophical in his defeat. As tensions mount between members of the Order of Four Barons and The Union of The Human League; Mislukking's Great Arena representative has chosen to focus on the impact of the result on competition. He described Cr0w's win as a welcome challenge to the status quo, and a sure sign that he and Kron will be legitimate challengers to Famine & Pestilence when they meet at Supercard 4. He did, however, hint at the possibility of a reprisal, adding that he will be in The Great Arena on April 3, with a view to fight someone.

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular happens April 3 with a cavalcade of stars featured in some of the biggest matches in Great Arena history! Immortality awaits the winners of matches involving Cr0w, Kron, Mimik, Ratt, Hokey, Ninja_Mime, TonyTheTiger, Ken, Porygonix, Scott-Howell & Murdoink, and many more!

Stay tuned for daily updates in the countdown to the massive April weekend, which includes a very special Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up event on Saturday, where Ratt will team with Ken against m0s & STEROLIZER in a Grand Prix Battle Royal preview, plus so much more!

HYPE: Shoe Walks into Tournament 4!

Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up will be a very special April 2 preview ahead of the April 3 Supercard Sunday. Among the attractions is a special tag team grudge match between Grand Prix Battle Royal competitors, m0s & STEROLIZER, facing-off against the impressive combo of Ken and his surprised Pre-Show partner, Ratt! Also on the card, the debut of a strange individual claiming to hail from the year 3000 -- the Supreme Warrior; plus another bitter team bout to determine two places in the Sunday Thirty-Person Battle Royal.

The Grand Prix Battle Royal will loom large over the Pre-Show event, determining not only two of it's marquee battles, but also a sixteen person elimination bracket for Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up, with the winner advancing to the thirty-person showcase.

Among the as yet unannounced sixteen will be a warrior who is yet to make a name for himself in The Great Arena, but has established credibility as a fighter in other venues -- Shoe! Shoe previously shied away from competition, but has embraced the prospect of entering the biggest event in the history of organized competition -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

Shoe will be expected to enter Tournament 4 a hot favourite, likely to meet an eclectic mix of names missing out on the big show. Expected among the sixteen will be fighters who failed to qualify in their March 20 one-on-one battles at Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption. Of that list, newcomer Jammer2Omega will be Shoe's biggest competition, having asserted himself in a series of exhibition clashes outside of The Great Arena!

All the action will unfold April 2 when Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up kicks off the weekend with a bang! Then -- the greatest event in the history of The Great Arena! Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular is the showcase of immortals that promises a blockbuster series of sensational battles!

1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Championship! [Preview]
2. Cr0w & Kron versus Famine & Pestilence in a frontline clash!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!
5. DeathScepter & DaMo versus Hokey & Ninja_Mime
6. Scott-Howell & Murdoink versus Mystery Opponents

Breaking News: War Goes 146-1 in Shock Defeat!

It's not at all unusual for fights to break out routinely outside The Great Arena. While organized events have played a vital role in maintaining order since the arrival of Lord Mislukking; it's a well acccepted fact that battles will break out spontaneously between Mislukking's lower ranked minions, various Human League fighters, and creatures manifesting naturally in the environment.

Occasionally, Mislukking and members of his Order of Four Barons are known to get involved in the action. To date, it's been taken for granted that Ares Menschlich -- the Baron of War -- is among the most powerful fighters, second in dominance only to Lord Mislukking himself. Well, the undefeated impossibility of Menschlich's might exists no more!

After dominating opponents for one hundred and forty-six encounters, War finally met his match in an impromptu battle with former Undisputed Champion, Cr0w! The victory comes as tensions continue to build between members of The Union of The Human League and Mislukking's forces, which led to Cr0w's March 22 declaration to "End Famine". This bold assault sends a clear message as Cr0w attempts to rise as The Human League's ultimate warrior, a positive omen ahead of the Supercard 4 encounter that will see Kron join Cr0w in his attempt to fight the power!

Kron and Cr0w are traditional arch-rivals, but it was March 25 that Kron announced his intentions to form a temporary alliance with his nemesis in the name of avenging a cowardly assault on Ratt, and fighting their villainous overloards. The alliance sets up a marquee encounter against Famine & Pestilence [aka; Bez Busshitsu & Praga Conquette] at the biggest event The Great Arena has ever hosted -- April 3's Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

For more information about coming organized events, don't miss the most recent daily update: HYPE: OG Team Howell & Murdoink Must Earn Stripes, as well as many more in the archive!

HYPE: OG Howell & Murdoink Must Earn Stripes!

At January's Supercard 1: Battle Royale 2011; a surprising feud presented itself when Murdoink took the fight to Scott-Howell in reprisal of a previous encounter during eliminations of Tournament 1! At Pre-Show 2: Champion's Revenge, Murdoink finally got the better of his rival, but out of this clash came a newfound respect that led the pair to become The Great Arena's first official duo!

At Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road "Sugar" Scott-Howell & Murdoink debuted as a tandem in the first ever team battle, facing-off against the high quality makeshift combo of Hokey & Ninja_Mime. Against the spontaneous chemistry of the two highly ranked individuals, Howell & Murdoink came up short, but their status as the affectionately referred "original" team was canonized.

Hokey & Mime's success will now garner the interests of new challengers [namely; DeathScepter & DaMo] -- making Supercard 4 a must-win opportunity for Scott-Howell & Murdoink to earn their stripes on the biggest stage of them all, without the benefit of a rematch.

Howell & Murdoink will be at the disadvantage, however. Despite their teaming experience, they will know nothing of their opponents coming in to the biggest show of them all, set to face a mystery combination who will reveal themselves on April 3! This will be the ultimate test for a team that has the sentimental vote, but will need to start backing that up to survive the harsh conditions of The Great Arena floor!

With the addition of this mystery encounter, the card now has some serious heft! There'll be three big team fights come April 3:
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Championship! [Preview]
2. Cr0w & Kron versus Famine & Pestilence in a frontline clash!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!
5. DeathScepter & DaMo versus Hokey & Ninja_Mime
6. Scott-Howell & Murdoink versus Mystery Opponents

It's the show so big, it's going to take two days to fit it all in!
April 2 marks the official launch of the big weekend, starting with Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up -- where Tournament 4 will decide a final entrant into the Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal, and Ken & Ratt team in the main event against m0s & STEROLIZER in a preview of that match. PLUS! The Supreme Warrior debuts with an open challenge, and the Grand Prix Battle Royal is shaped further when xtactics and Celeste defend their qualifying spot!

Then, Sunday is the biggest event to ever occur in the history of The Great Arena! Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular will bring together the best and brightest in a showcase of the hottest feuds and most skilled competitors! An all-star blockbuster cast includes the championship decider between ElJobber and Toryn; an unlikely team-up between legends of the fight, Cr0w and Kron, who want to End Famine and Pestilence in The Great Arena; a massive Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal, and so much more! All the action will be in The Great Arena thanks to #MicksDesk, April 3!

Stay tuned right here for daily updates on all of the developing feuds and match-ups for this weekend! Updates stretch back more than a week, so you can know exactly how it all came together on the day fighters became legends!

HYPE: Ratt Answers Ken's Call!

It was a week ago, (March 21st), that a very special extra event was announced for the April 2 Saturday -- Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up! The extra promises to give fighters missing out on the big show a second chance to shine, while others feature in preparation matches for the biggest show of the year, Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

Featuring in a marquee bout will be a special preview of the Grand Prix Thirty-Person Battle Royale, with m0s & STEROLIZER teaming against arch-rival Ken and a partner yet to be announced. Of course, many would agree, it wouldn't be a Pre-Show event without one of the most popular fighters in The Great Arena -- Ratt!

"The Iron Man" Ratt has officially answered Ken's call for a partner, stepping in to lend him a hand in the warm-up against his Battle Royal rivals. This announcement comes with still no match scheduled for Ratt at Supercard 4, and his challenge to Revenant Genku remaining unanswered. It was revealed recently that Genku was risen by Sinvida Von Grimm -- Lord Mislukking's Baron of Death! Cr0w & Kron have formed an unlikely alliance against two of Mislukking's other Barons -- Death & Famine. The complicated tapestry of Supercard 4 continues to pose as many questions as it provides answers!

The big weekend schedule now shapes up as:
Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up (April 2, 2011)
1. Ken & Ratt versus m0s & STEROLIZER Battle Royal Preview!
2. Supreme Warrior will debut to issue an open challenge.
3. xtactics & Celeste versus rxvt & Mark winners enter Battle Royal
4. Tournament 4: Winner Enters the Grand Prix Battle Royal!

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix (April 3, 2011)
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Undisputed Championship!
2. Cr0w & Kron versus Famine & Pestilence in a frontline clash!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!
5. DeathScepter & DaMo versus Hokey & Ninja_Mime in a team clash!

HYPE: ElJobber/Toryn Championship Preview!

With the magnitude of Supercard 4 first made known in January, no one could've predicted that the main event would feature it's eventual contender and champion. During the first two months of competition, the Undisputed Championship seemed to belong to the hottest feuding fighters in The Great Arena: Cr0w and Kron! This unlikeliest of pairings will be busy teaming-up at Supercard 4, when they challenge Famine and Pestilence.

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular will instead play host to an intriguing battle that introduces new faces to the championship legacy in the biggest spotlight of them all! Toryn is the defending champion who won the belt as part of a comeback; while ElJobber enters his first shot as a contender who earned his way to the spot. Their paths have crossed only once in this time, granting Toryn the 1-0-0 advantage, something that is true of their records in general.

The Road to Supercard 4...
ElJobber's road to the big time began at Supercard 1: Battle Royale 2011, in an elimination event that Toryn failed to qualify for! ElJobber entered at #33, enduring thirty-five minutes that included eliminations of wife_smasher (#23), fraysol (#29), Ninja_Mime (#36), Porygonix (#37), and Genku (#39) to make him last man standing and #1 contender for far off April 3. ElJobber then spent his months carefully, proving his credibility in big time matches against monkey on his back, TonyTheTiger (Supercard 2), and original Undisputed Champion, Cr0w (Supercard 3)!

After missing the random draw for Battle Royale 2011; Toryn was forced to fight his way back to the spotlight. Victories over MINION (Pre-Show 2) and Ratt in a six-person contender Battle Royal (Supercard 2). His time finally came at Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road, where shock onlookers witnessed Toryn overcome Kron to win the Undisputed Championship.

The Preparation...
With each man gaining a victory over a former champion at Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road; Toryn and ElJobber proved their chops as legitimate contenders in similar style. In the immediate lead-up, however, their approach to preparing for Supercard 4 has been a study in contrasts.

ElJobber, a familiar face in the unofficial fighting ranks outside The Great Arena, has remained relatively active, taking challenges from Lord Mislukking's minions and other fighters in an effort to hone his craft. Toryn, on the other hand, has been a largely absent champion, promising little in the way of fatigue, but raising questions about his readiness to carry the top prize.

The Tale of the Tape...
Though their success has come at around the same time, these two fighters are as much an evenly matched pairing, as they are a study in contrasts. Both men may have defeated top contenders in their charge toward Supercard 4, but in general, their path to the big time has come in different ways. Toryn infamously built his power and reputation off of a training sprint that put him in the upper ranks very quickly. ElJobber, on the other hand, has enjoyed a steady improvement, a gradual arc that took him from the middle ranks and made him a power player in and out of The Great Arena.

Toryn's early success gives him the clear advantage in Great Arena history, fighting with an 11-3-0 record, and League Ranking of #2. ElJobber exhibits a more modest 7-2-0, with potential to do one better than his opponent from his #7 League Ranking base. The stats clearly favour Toryn, comfortably, but not so overwhelming that ElJobber comes into this fight a total mismatch.

A steady presence in the unofficial fighting ranks has been key to ElJobber's steady rise through the ranks, sponsored in no small part by his intimacy with the governing body. Toryn has shown much less steadfast interest, an absent champion, for the most part. Toryn has a striker rating of 6, while ElJobber was able to recently hone his skills to a 7. Any fighter can win on any given day, it's true, but with the experience gap growing, you'd have to think ElJobber has the edge in terms of sheer potential to win fights.

Examining the win/loss records of the pair, it's fair to say the class of opponent they have faced presents some differences. Toryn has enjoyed success as early as Tournament 1, where he ran right to the final, succumbing to defeat at the last moment against Genku. Victories against the likes of Ken, Mimik, Aquilluxborg Hydroxybot, Ratt, DeathScepter, and Kron paint a picture of a big game hunter who has been very successful despite a parabolic rise, fall, and rise. ElJobber can only claim a smaller cast of scalps, twin victories against TonyTheTiger as much a personal victory, made more credible by a big win against Cr0w. Winning Battle Royale is, of course, ElJobber's biggest claim to fame, where he eliminated several top contenders including runner-up, Genku.

The complete fight history of both fighters ultimately favours Toryn:
ElJobber d. Mark - Round 1, Tournament 1 (Jan. 4)
ElJobber d. ZachAngel - Round 2, Tournament 1 (Jan. 4)
ElJobber d. DigbyRigby - Round 3, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Toryn d. ElJobber - Round 4, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
TonyTheTiger d. ElJobber - R1, Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion (Jan. 8)
ElJobber d. TonyTheTiger - Pre-Show 1: Battle Royale Qualifiers (Jan. 23)
ElJobber won 40-man Battle Royale - Supercard 1: Battle Royale 2011 (Jan. 31)
ElJobber d. TonyTheTiger - Supercard 2: Triple Double/Eliminator (Feb. 21)
ElJobber d. Cr0w - Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road (Mar. 13)

Toryn d. Ken - Round 1, Tournament 1 (Jan. 4)
Toryn d. Twiztid_Ninja - Round 2, Tournament 1 (Jan. 4)
Toryn d. Mimik - Round 3, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Toryn d. ElJobber - Round 4, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Toryn d. Aquilluxborg Hydroxybot - Quarter Final, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Toryn d. Ratt - Semi Final, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Genku d. Toryn - Final, Tournament 1 (Jan. 5)
Toryn d. Fires - Round 1, Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion (Jan. 8)
Toryn d. rxvt - Round 2, Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion (Jan. 8)
Ratt d. Toryn - Round 3, Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion (Jan. 9)
Porygonix d. Toryn - Pre-Show 1: Battle Royale Qualifiers (Jan. 23)
Toryn d. MINION - Pre-Show 2: Champion's Revenge (Feb. 12)
Toryn won 6-man Battle Royal - Supercard 2: Triple Double/Eliminator (Feb. 21)
Toryn d. Kron (c) - Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road (Mar. 13)

There is the small matter of the only time the two have fought, as well -- a Tournament 1 clash that saw Toryn advance to the Quarter Finals. All in all, the tale of the tape is one that suggests significant obstacles for ElJobber to overcome if he's to end Toryn's reign as champion prematurely. Of course, The Great Arena has already played host to many upsets, with some considering Toryn's win among them. The answers will come April 3 when Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular brings the two together in a fight for the title!

Also at the biggest event in history: former champions and arch-rivals, Kron & Cr0w, unite their powers in an effort to ride The Great Arena of Famine and Pestilence! TonyTheTiger and DeathScepter & DaMo look for glory and recognition by challenging Mimik and Hokey & Ninja_Mime, respectively. PLUS -- a very special Thirty-Person Battle Royale featuring winners from additional stages at the April 2 special, Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up!

There's still a full week until the big show, so be sure to check back for daily updates as the most spectacular event in history takes shape!

HYPE: DeathScepter & DaMo Will Not Go Forgotten!

DeathScepter & DaMo are two names that have consistently hovered around the upper echelon of fighters in The Great Arena, but for reasons varied, they have failed to penetrate the championship ranks in their individual efforts. Together, DeathScepter and DaMo have found a bizarre kinship, an understanding that they will hope to turn into glory when they team-up April 3 for Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

Team competition in The Great Arena is still a relatively new aspect of the sport, but with the likes of Cr0w & Kron announcing themselves as an unlikely tandem in a marquee battle at Supercard 4, it's easy to see why it's fast become a fan-favourite style of match!

DeathScepter & DaMo last made a significant impact in February at Supercard 2: Triple Double, where DeathScepter competed in a six-man contender battle royal, only to be eliminated third; while DaMo was bundled out by eventual winner, Mimik, in the Semi Final round of Tournament 3: The Eliminator! Quiet throughout March, the pair have vowed that they will not be forgotten any longer!

Hokey & Ninja_Mime emerged victorious in the first ever team battle at Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road, March 13! Their success against "Sugar" Scott-Howell & Murdoink -- (affectionately considered the original Great Arena "team") -- has consolidated their powers into a single unit that will be very difficult to defeat so long as their goals remain the same! Hokey & Ninja_Mime are far from an overnight pairing, but as #5 and #6 in the unofficial individual rankings, it may simply be a matter of time before they are forced to turn against each other!

The challenge brings April 3's Supercard 4 schedule closer to form, making match no. five:
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Undisputed Championship!
2. Cr0w & Kron versus Famine & Pestilence in a frontline clash!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!
5. DeathScepter & DaMo versus Hokey & Ninja_Mime in a team clash!

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular will take place April 3 in The Great Arena, promising an array of the biggest and brightest names to ever step in (and some who haven't)! With marquee battles featuring Toryn, Kron, Cr0w, ElJobber, Mimik, Ken, Hokey, Ninja_Mime, TonyTheTiger, and many more, it's sure to live up to the claim of the biggest show we will ever see! Before the epic battles for immortality unfold, April 2 will also see the launch of a very special Saturday Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up, featuring Tournament 4 and more team competition that will preview and manipulate the epic Thirty Person Battle Royal!

With so much action coming, it's impossible to fit it all in to one week! That's why there'll be daily updates right here from now until April 3rd, keeping you up to date on all the announcements, match changes, & fighters in the lead-up to the biggest show in the world, Supercard 4!

HYPE: Kron & Cr0w to Headline... as a Team?!

No feud in The Great Arena can be considered more memorable than that of Cr0w v Kron!

Officially, they met three times to duke it out over the Undisputed Championship, a feud culminating in a breakaway title win for Kron at Supercard 2, after initial clashes at Tournament 2 and Supercard 1!

Unofficially, they have met in an incalculable number of fights, each more heated than the last, making the latest announcement in the build to Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular all the more unlikely! Despite their differences, Kron has sworn to have Cr0w's back at the biggest show of the year, evening the odds in what he claims will inevitably become a team battle!

March 22 saw Cr0w announce his vow to "End Famine" in The Great Arena as a reprisal for the ambush defeat of Ratt at Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption. Famine's challenge at the Pre-Show had itself been a shot fired amidst mounting tensions between the fighters of The Great Arena and the Four Barons under Lord Mislukking.

Bez Busshitsu's attack on Ratt, which came after the fan-favourite had already accepted a challenge from Ken, proves the Baron of Famine is all too willing to stoop to underhanded tactics to humble members of The Union of The Human League. By announcing himself as Cr0w's partner, Kron has taken the guess work out of the Supercard 4 clash, guaranteeing the involvement of a second horseman, likely Praga Conquette -- the Baroness of Pestilence!

Cr0w will no doubt be reluctant to accept an alliance with his arch-nemesis, but the stakes involved will leave him little choice in this battle of common enemies. Kron claims to have become a changed fighter in recent weeks. The once unrelenting brutalizer -- who was allegedly responsible for driving Genku to suicidal ends after a harassing series of unofficial street fights -- has abstained from such attacks for an entire week, even when challenged and heckled by others!

The 'born again' attitude is likely what has inspired Kron to seek a strategic method of fighting Lord Mislukking's Barons. Together, Cr0w and Kron represent one of the strongest combinations available to The Union of The Human League. As a working tandem, they have a legitimate shot at defeating Famine & Pestilence, who have gone largely unchallenged, so far.

This announcement means Supercard 4 takes yet another new shape:
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Undisputed Championship!
2. Cr0w & Kron versus Famine & Pestilence in a frontline clash!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular takes place April 3 and is promised to be the biggest event The Great Arena has ever hosted! With four blockbuster matches now confirmed for the first Sunday, you can see how this claim might be lived up to! It's the event so big, it will even stretch across two days, when April 2 sees the very special Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up, including match-ups involving Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, the debut of Supreme Warrior, and the high stakes Tournament 4 -- which will provide one winner the opportunity to enter the Supercard 4 Thirty-Person Battle Royal!

The pressure is building as an unprecedented wave of action banks outside The Great Arena! Be sure to check the site again for daily updates as Supercard 4 and it's many storylines continue to develop!

HYPE: TonyTheTiger Continues Rankings Hunt!

TonyTheTiger hit the unofficial rankings with a bullet when he became one of the more active fighters in recent months, but looked like becoming a flash in the pan when he suffered consecutive crushing defeats against DeathScepter (Pre-Show 2) and ElJobber (Supercard 2).

Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road put TonyTheTiger back on a winning path, providing a win against unofficially ranked #10 contender, Porygonix! With Supercard 4 just around the corner; TonyTheTiger is looking to immortalize himself as a legendary up-and-comer by rendering yet another challenge against an unofficially ranked star!

Tournament 3 winner, Mimik, currently holds an unofficial speculative ranking of #7, just one place above TonyTheTiger's #8! Victory would surely re-grant TonyTheTiger the forward momentum he lost after his initial rise -- but coming off of a loss against Bez Busshitsu, Mimik will have his own designs for a return to form!

As of Supercard 3, the unofficial rankings look like:
Champion: Toryn
#1 ElJobber
#2 Kron
#3 Cr0w
#4 Ratt
#5 Hokey
#6 Ninja_Mime
#7 Mimik
#8 TonyTheTiger
#9 Porygonix
#10 Ken

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular is billed as the biggest event in the history of The Great Arena, and with just two weeks to go, the big event is starting to take form! The April 3 special event now has a card of four big bouts scheduled, as well as all the action at the special April 2 Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up event!

The current Supercard 4 schedule looks something like:
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Undisputed Championship!
2. Cr0w versus Bez Busshitsu to end famine in The Great Arena!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Mimik in a top ten rankings battle!
4. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!

HYPE: Revenant Genku's Life After Death!

It should have been a straight forward match between two fighters who've had close brushes with success. Instead, The Great Arena played host to a plot-twist right out of a horror movie when Ratt battled Revenant Genku at March 13's Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road!

Genku did the unthinkable in the lead-up to Supercard 3, throwing himself on the sword of Lord Mislukking after being seemingly driven mad by feuds outside The Great Arena. The act was supposed to bring him peace, but instead, the cowardly fighter returned as a revenant possessing the same powers he had in life. Those powers were enough to defeat a stunned Ratt, leading the fan-favourite to issue challenges for a rematch that have gone seemingly unanswered. If you consider that it was the Baron of Famine, Bez Busshitsu, who took advantage of Ratt's open challenge at Pre-Show 3, then that might not be entirely true.

It has today been revealed that Revenant Genku was risen from death by none other than the mysterious Baron of Death, Sinvida Von Grimm!

Grimm has been the most elusive of Lord Mislukking's Order of Four Barons, enshrouded in almost as much mystery as the dark conqueror himself! What is clear is that Sinvida Von Grimm's occult powers have allowed the resurrection of Genku in this revenant form, making him the latest soldier in the army of minions that members of The Union of The Human League have reluctantly accepted.

Given mounting tensions between the two sides, punctuated by Cr0w's declaration (yesterday) to 'End Famine in the Great Arena', it seems this could very well be the catalyst for an arms race between the factions!

What possible effect will the strengthened numbers of Lord Mislukking's Barons mean for Cr0w's battle against Bez Busshitsu at Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular? And is Revenant Genku capable of answering the challenges of arch-rival, Ratt? Many questions remain unanswered as we countdown to the April 2-3 event with daily updates right here on the official website!

HYPE: Cr0w Vows to End Famine!

It was at Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption that Great Arena fan-favourite, Ratt, suffered defeat at the hands of Bez Busshitsu! The Baron of Famine launched a cowardly attack, taking the place of Revenant Genku in Ratt's intended open challenge immediately after Ratt successfully defeated Ken, in an initial main event challenge!

The heel result has provoked the ire of one of The Great Arena's greatest competitors and former Undisputed Champion, Cr0w! Tensions have been mounting between the denizens of the Cheevment Kingdom and Lord Mislukking's Order of Four Barons, increasing to match contests in recent weeks. Busshitsu initiated the first significant attack at Supercard 3: The Long Hard Road, where he challenged and defeated Tournament 3 winner, Mimik.

Today; Cr0w officially announced his intentions to strike back, formally declaring his challenge to The Baron of Famine at upcoming major showcase, Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular! The event, set for April 3, promises to be the biggest of it's kind in the history of competition in The Great Arena!

Cr0w vows that this is the beginning of his campaign to "end Famine" in The Great Arena -- a bold statement that, as yet, has seemed an impossibility. One has to wonder if Cr0w isn't biting off more than he can chew, setting up a mismatch contest between one man and the entire order of Four Barons: Famine, Pestilence, War, and Death! To this point, the Baron of War, Ares Menschlich, has been a joint proponent in developing organized competition in The Great Arena, which has ironically maintained order in the ruins of the chaos he helped unleash upon the Cheevment Kingdom!

The match marks the third bout announced for Supercard 4:
1. ElJobber versus Toryn (c) for the Undisputed Championship!
2. Cr0w versus Bez Busshitsu to end famine in The Great Arena!
3. Thirty-Person Grand Prix Battle Royal featuring: Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, Porygonix, Chromatose, onryo, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33, as well as winners of Tournament 4 and a special tag bout at Pre-Show 4!

It's the event so big, it will stretch across two days!
As announced yesterday -- April 2 will see Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up! On the card is the first Great Arena appearance of The Supreme Warrior, a Grand Prix Battle Royal preview between Ken and m0s & STEROLIZER, a team grudge bout to determine two slots in the Thirty-Person Battle Royal, and a special Tournament 4 for a spot in the Battle Royal!

Then on Sunday, April 3 -- Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular where 2011 Battle Royale winner, ElJobber, challenges surprise Supercard 3 Undisputed Champion, Toryn, in the main event! PLUS! The epic Thirty-Person Battle Royal, and Cr0w vows to END FAMINE in his challenge against Bez Busshitsu! All this -- plus more as we deliver daily updates in the lead up to the big show!

HYPE: April 2 Warm-Up Event Announced!

It's the event so big, it's going to stretch across two days!
Ares Mensclich, in conjunction with The Union of The Human League, has reached an agreement to stage a special Saturday Warm-Up event ahead of the year's biggest calendar extravaganza, Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular!

The April 2 Pre-Show Minicard will be designed to showcase fighters who will not appear at the 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix, while also providing warm-up features as part of a carnival build-up to the biggest event in Great Arena history! Those unlucky fighters eliminated in yesterday's Pre-Show 3 Battle Royal qualifiers will get a chance to be a part of the festivity, along with a few surprises!

Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up (April 2, 2011)
1. Supreme Warrior will issue an open challenge.
Supreme Warrior Jimmy has been roaming the halls of The Great Arena for the past month. He claims to come from a barbaric post-apocalyptic future, the year 3000, where the Cheevment Kingdom has been reduced to fighting clans and ritualistic warriors. The Supreme Warrior desires combat to absorb the skills of the greatest warriors and at Grand Prix Warm-Up he'll take any comers in an open challenge on the eve of the biggest fight extravaganza in his ancient history!

2. Ken & TBA versus m0s & STEROLIZER
It'll be a special preview of the Ultimate Grand Prix thirty-person Battle Royal when battling battle royal veteran, Ken, takes on two of the men who'll be gunning for him during the match, m0s & STEROLIZER! As yet, Ken does not have a partner, but with two weeks to go until the big show, he's got plenty of time to find a willing participant -- provided any one else is willing to fight twice in a single weekend!

3. xtactics & Celeste versus rxvt & Mark
At Pre-Show 3, eighteen fights duked it out in one-on-one competition to earn their way into the Thirty-Person Battle Royal at Supercard 4! Two of those fights came down to the wire, producing results by the narrowest of margins! Now the winners of those fights -- xtactics & Celeste -- will be forced to defend their position in the Battle Royal against the losers -- rxvt & Mark! Will it be twice the charm for the winning team, or will their luck run out on the eve of the biggest show in history?

4. Tournament 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up
Fighters from around the Cheevment Kingdom will be invited to The Great Arena for a final opportunity to earn their shot at immortality at Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular! It'll be an elimination bracket of yet to be determined competitors to decide a special wildcard entrant into April 3rd's much talked about Grand Prix Thirty-Person Battle Royal!

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular promises to be the biggest event in history, playing host to a very special thirty-person Battle Royal, PLUS! The arrival of 2011 Battle Royale winner and long standing #1 contender, ElJobber, in a match against the shock reigning champion from Supercard 3, Toryn!

Stay tuned to this site for daily updates as the biggest event in the history of The Great Arena takes shape! Remember to be here all weekend for Pre-Show 4: Grand Prix Warm-Up (April 2) and Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular (April 3)!

Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption!

March 20, 2011 -- The Long Hard Road began only a week ago, but with Ultimate Grand Prix just a fornight away, Pre-Show 3 offered what might a last shot at redemption for fighters seeking glory and immortality at the biggest event on the Great Arena calendar!

No man's desire for redemption could be greater than Ratt's!
The fan-favourite's shock loss to Revenant Genku at Supercard 3 put a pause on his championship hopes and a dent in his pride. Seeking honor and redemption, Ratt issued an open challenge as he had at Pre-Show 2, hoping to draw Genku into a rematch situation. Would the dishonored dead rise once more to face Ratt in combat, or did this hero of The Great Arena simply invite new challengers to attack him?

PLUS! With a thirty-person Battle Royal booked for Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular, eighteen fighters of mixed rank fight for the opportunity to appear at the biggest event The Great Arena will ever host! A shot at glory awaits nine fighters, but for the losers, redemption will be unobtained. This is Pre-Show 3: The Road to Redemption!

11. Bez Busshitsu defeated Ratt in a shock second challenge!
Celebrations were short for Ratt, who had seemingly already emerged victorious from his open challenge in the night's main event. The Baron of Famine, Bez Busshitsu, saw fit to extend the open challenge however, capitalizing on a Ratt who had already endured a contested fight! The ambush didn't seem to phase Ratt, but Famine's underhanded tactics produced the desired result, just the same.

Busshitsu appeared recently at Supercard 3, where he successfully challenged Tournament 3 winner, Mimik! The win over Ratt might have been intended as a show of strength, but has surely only provided an antagonising blow against fighters from The Union of The Human League! Meanwhile, questions must be asked about Famine's connection to Revenant Genku, who has remained silent amidst the challenges. A larger plot is clearly unfolding as tensions build between the denizens of the Cheevment Kingdom and the warriors under Lord Mislukking!

10. Ratt defeated Ken comprehensively in his open challenge!
Ratt had hoped to lure out Revenant Genku with his open challenge, but was instead surprised to be met by Ken! Ken -- announced days earlier as an entrant into the Ultimate Grand Prix 30-Person Battle Royal -- clearly saw an opportunity to earn points for the big match by testing himself against a man who famously lasted over an hour during 2011 Battle Royale! It was Ratt who eliminated Ken from the forty-person battle royal spectacular in January, making for a belated grudge bout!

Ratt looked comfortable in his clash -- confident, despite Ken's power boost courtesy of an increase in activity. It was a comprehensive win in the end, but Ken will almost certainly remain a hot favourite in the thirty-person Battle Royal at Ultimate Grand Prix, April 3rd! Meanwhile, Ratt is forced to look to the future for his rematch against Revenant Genku, but not quite as far for his next fight...! Little could Ratt know, a second challenger was waiting in the wings!

Ultimate Grand Prix Battle Royal Qualifier Results:
1. xtactics defeated rxvt in an incredibly narrow win!
2. Porygonix defeated Jax in a comprehensive +5 win!
3. onryo defeated Jammer2Omega in a close win.
4. Chromatose defeated Politics in a solid win.
5. Vultyrex defeated NovaStarr in a narrow win.
6. Celeste defeated Mark in an incredibly narrow win!
7. Tyrant-Cenobite defeated SlumDunk in a close result.
8. Menas defeated Shadaloo in a narrow win!
9. AlexanderLuthorJr defeated GreenLantern in a close win.

Porygonix emerged from the qualifying nine as the strongest competitor, a sure fire challenger to take out the thirty-man Battle Royal! We now know fifteen of the thirty competitors entering the Battle Royal at Supercard 4: xtactics, Porygonix, onryo, Chromatose, Vultyrex, Celeste, Tyrant-Cenobite, Menas, AlexanderLuthorJr, Ken, m0s, STEROLIZER, unixpunk, Buster, ThirtyThr33.

Supercard 4: 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix - The Arena Spectacular is just two weeks away! Updates will come daily as the biggest event in history shapes itself ahead of the April 3 spectacular! Along with the Battle Royal, 2011 Ultimate Grand Prix will play host to the Undisputed Championship match between long waiting #1 contender, ElJobber, and the shock championship winner at Supercard 3, Toryn!
