Breaking: Shoe Announces Indefinite Sabbatical

It's no secret that United: Shoe suffered a heinous defeat inside the Steel Cage at last month's Spring Classic. Nobody was too surprised when he missed the last two editions of Monday Night Games, knowing full well the recovery time associated with such a brutal match type.

Usually fighters can bounce back from a moderate Steel Cage Fight loss within 2-8 weeks, but Shoe won't be putting a time limit on his recovery, announcing today to members of The United and the League that he's taking an indefinite break.

Shoe's been fighting a heavy schedule throughout the first quarter, shouldering the burden of regular battles during Monday Night programming, including high-profile struggles with leading members of The Invasion and The Fallen. He also suffered a notable defeat at Ultimate Grand Prix VII, where he and arch-rival Poasty buried the hatchet.

While Shoe takes a much needed break from The Great Arena, the remaining expanded line-up of The United will continue to compete with Artanix assuming an unofficial role as captain.
