Like dominoes they fall, halved by each passing round. Prompted by the power struggle of Supercard 6 and the domination of Team Cr0w over The Great Arena, War and Mick attempt to restore balance with a tournament. They began as one hundred and twenty-eight in this impartial contest to determine the greatest fighter. Soon, they will be one, fighting a War for the Kr0wn against the reigning Undisputed Champion, Ratt!
Cr0w [#2] continues to be one of the dominant forces in the tournament, breezing through his Round 3 clash against Chewwi with a +30 maximum impact! Fellow remaining seeds, Genku [#1] and Shoe [#4], were also among the heavy hitters of the round, delivering +8 and +4 beatdowns to Chiefin and Scott-Howell, respectively. Ninja_Mime rounded out the hitmen of the round, with his +5 victory over davy! Ninja_Mime is one of the quieter competitors who has cut a line toward the finals, sure to be among the dark horse contenders as the numbers shrink.
The mysterious Darkrai had a quiet victory over Baraka_MK, which must raise questions about his longevity against some of the more powerful competitors remaining in his draw. It was a similarly subdued affair in the main event battle of the round, where Kron exacted a confident victory over Toryn, despite being unable to leave a lasting mark. ElJobber enjoyed similar success in his match against TonyTheTiger, with no upset likely.
The_Purple_Bunny continued on his winning ways with a solid win over Hokey, an uncharacteristically early exit for the often lucky Hokey. STEROLIZER also couldn't keep up the winning pace against m0s, who reprised his role as eliminator from the Supercard 6 Battle Royal -- sure to be a sticking point for the new to winning, always feisty STERO! Jammer2Omega, on the other hand, continues to be one of the rising stars of The Great Arena, impressive against the "underrated" Ghostdragon!
SubMan799 has to be noted as one of the heroes of the tournament, fast emerging as a more successful competitor than his duo counterpart, Casselman! Longevity has been the key to SubMan799's success, a more steady presence in the fighting ranks reflected in his confident stoush with AlexanderLuthorJr. A good draw never hurts, but the experience SubMan799 picks up will certainly help lead him into a strong future. CaTigeReptile is another fighter on the path to bigger things, quietly carving through a favourable braclet, this time with a win against Darfus.
Round 3 Results:
1. Genku defeated Chiefin in a +8 decimation!
2. Darkrai defeated Baraka_MK in a comprehensive result.
3. Jammer2Omega defeated Ghostdragon in a solid win.

The "Round of Sixteen" will play host to an exciting clash of the old and the new as #1 seed Genku meets the powerhouse mysteryman, Darkrai. With many already comparing Darkrai's enthusiasm and skills to reigning champion Ratt, the chemistry between these two promises to produce an exciting result! Ninja_Mime meets m0s in another tense encounter that could shape the later rounds, while Jammer2Omega tests his winning ways against another fighter riding high since his return, The_Purple_Bunny! Tournament 5: War for the Kr0wn - Round 2!
One hundred and twenty-eight fighters enter to prove their ultimate superiority -- one winner emerges with the chance to challenge for the Undisputed Championship!
Round 1 of Tournament 5: War for the Kr0wn produced very few surprises, but with a field stronger than any tournament before, it was inevitable that the competition get more cut throat as the numbers dwindle. #3 seed Mimik was the biggest casualty of Round 2, suffering a staggering +30 maximum impact from Kron -- a fighter who was exiled by his loss at Supercard 6, and is more determined than ever to strike back at arch-rival, Cr0w!
Ken also made a shock exit in the upset of Round 2, coming up short against relative newcomer, Chiefin! DECEPTION was a less surprising loss in Round 2, claimed by the #1 seed, Genku. Porygonix was also claimed in a blockbuster encounter against Hokey, who has traditionally performed far beyond his measure in Tournament situations. Punching far above his weight in T5, however, is STEROLIZER, who managed his second victory in a close fought encounter with Vultyrex. The back-to-back victory changes the landscape of competition dramatically, given STEROLIZER's famous penchant for biting off far more than he can chew!
The_Purple_Bunny progressed in a heated battle against ShingoEX, bundling his opponent out with an impressive +6 impact in a decimation. Cr0w [#2] was much kinder in his +3 elimination of friend and ally, Pink_Ranger, who could've suffered far worse given the strength of Cr0w's performance. He remains one of the hot favourites to go all the way, but with a pattern of fatigue plaguing his performances over the past few months, endurance may still prove a factor in the six-deep rounds of competition.
Shoe [#4] repeated history with his clash against Casselman, a rematch of the Tournament 4 final. Shoe went two better than his T4 decimation, utterly destroying Casselman with a staggering +7 impact!
Kron's maximum impact against Mimik made him the hitman of the round, but right behind him was the mysterious Darkrai, who once again made waves with a stunning +13 impact on BoringErik! Despite being a complete stranger to The Great Arena, it seems as if Darkrai could be a legitimate dark horse in this War for the Kr0wn. It will be interesting to see how Darkrai fares against more tested competitors! TonyTheTiger continued to sneak through the gentle draw of the lower half, scoring an equally impressive +12 beatdown against jaytea!
ElJobber, Toryn, Ninja_Mime, m0s, Scott-Howell, Jammer2Omega, CaTigeReptile, DeathScepter, Ghostdragon, and Baraka_MK also all progressed to the Third Round.
Round 2 Results:
1. Genku [#1] defeated DECEPTION in a +3 decimation.

31. Chewwi defeated Menas by a narrow margin.
32. Cr0w [#2] defeated Pink_Ranger in a +3 decimation.
With a couple of big names falling to upsets in the Second Round, the War for the Kr0wn is truly any man's game! Business picks up in the Third Round as more major match-ups present courtesy of the random draw! Kron will have the main event, once again, as his hard path to the finals continues with a clash against the former-champion who took his title at Supercard 3, Toryn! Playing second to this blockbuster encounter is ElJobber -- hot contender who defeated Toryn at Supercard 6 -- going up against the rival who famously upset him in Tournament 2 with a First Round elimination, TonyTheTiger!
STEROLIZER takes an unlikely spotlight when he looks to continue his streak of victory against m0s! The pair had briefly held a common enemy in Round 2 eliminated Ken, but at Supercard 6, it was m0s who interrupted STERO's first taste of glory in the 12-person Battle Royal! Duo star, Scott-Howell, will test his solo muscles when he takes on Shoe [#4], Hokey tests his luck against a resurrected The_Purple_Bunny, Ghostdragon looks to earn some cred against rising star Jammer2Omega, and Chiefin tackles the challenge of upsetting Genku [#1]!

Tournament 5: War for the Kr0wn - Round 1!
With the victors of Team Cr0w staging something of a coup, the forces behind The Great Arena are forced to act to restore some sense of balance. With more Championship contenders than ever before, and an entire list of fighters attempting to dominate the ranks, the only solution is to return to the beginning... One hundred and twenty-eight fighters enter a random draw in this War for the Kr0wn, with one supreme warrior emerging as the greatest fighter in the ranks and rightful challenger to Ratt's Undisputed Championship. Sadly, Ratt is therefore omitted from the draw to ensure the Championship is decided in pure, honorable one-on-one combat. Having already overcome considerable odds to become Undisputed Champion, it is reasonable to say that his status as one of the greats is already earned!
Earning their stripes in the first round is an impressive pool of sixty-four fighters, the first two ever emerge from a complete 128-Person elimination bracket! The seeded former Tournament winners; Genku, Cr0w, Mimik and Shoe are among the stand-outs of the first round, each progressing with relative ease to the Second Round. T4 winner and relative newcomer, Shoe, is the least convincing the lot, while Cr0w joins the heavy hitting hitmen with an impressive +26 impact in his total annihilation of Bronzie! Mimik looked confident as one of the leading contenders, exacting an impressive +14 decimation over an ever-hard done by rxvt!
A returning exile, Kron is one of the most dangerous competitors entering the random draw. His win over Poasty sets up a second round clash with #3 seed, Mimik. Another dangerman lurking in the random draw is ElJobber, who took care of Simon with an impressive +9 impact. Toryn was only one short with his +8 against Pre-Show 7 debut, Reiko!
Few shocks emerge in this First Round, a contrast to some of the previous major Tournament upsets seen in the past! Hokey, Ninja_Mime, Ken, Porygonix, m0s, The_Purple_Bunny, Scott-Howell, Murdoink, CaTigeReptile, TonyTheTiger, DECEPTION, Jammer2Omega, and Tyrant-Cenobite are all winners against opponents with an unlucky draw!
The two most noteworthy shocks of the first round are mysterious newcomer Darkrai who inflicted a staggering +26 impact on KombatKid, and STEROLIZER -- notorious BGH who usually fights way out of his depth, but actually managed a shock victory over vaiisekk! With victories like these we are reminded that anything can happen in Tournament 5!

HYPE: Tournament 5 Officially Announced!
A draft of men saw a bitter feud explode into a literal split in The Great Arena. Team Cr0w vs Team Kron may have briefly ended one of the most bitter rivlaries The Great Arena has ever seen, but in doing so, created a vaccuum of power that was seized by the ultimate winner, Cr0w. Having asserted this power at Pre-Show 7, Cr0w has effectively been handed the keys to book his own success.
In an attempt to curb this on-going corruption and conceited exclusivity, representatives of The Union of The Human League and The Order of Barons have launched an official announcement of Tournament 5: War for the Kr0wn!
In the tradition of Tournament 1; this competition will see a random draw of one hundred and twenty-eight fighters enter with the opportunity of ultimate glory. Tournament 5 will be a supreme accolade unto itself, but to ensure fairness in the pursuit of the Undisputed Championship, the winner of Tournament 5 will immediately be granted a match against the reigning champion, Ratt!
Four previous tournament winners -- Genku, Cr0w, Mimik and Shoe will make up the four seeds, spaced evenly at the top and bottom of their respect halves of the 128-slot elimination bracket. Around them will be a random draw of 124 fighters all seeking to fight a path through six rounds to earn their right to challenge for the Undisputed Championship!
It is the ultimate equalizer! Pure combat that invites any and all with the promise that there can be only one winner! It is unfortunate that the Champion, Ratt, cannot be measured among these fighters, but he will face his test in time. The ultimate exercise in order, but will it be enough to return balance to The Great Arena? We shall see...

Pre-Show 7: The Spoils of War!
May 8, 2011 -- Victory at Supercard 6 has earned Team Cr0w total domination over The Great Arena! With their opponents vanquished the Spoils of War are theirs to enjoy, but this alliance of sixteen, drafted into battle by Cr0w, were never fighting for the same things! The common goal of the Undisputed Championship compells this fighting force to turn against each other, loyal only to their individual pursuit!
Cr0w may have destroyed his arch-nemesis Kron, but he now faces a list of contenders he has helped create! Mimik is the Tournament 3 champion who dominated enemy and ally alike in a twelve-person Battle Royal! ElJobber is the almost-was who defeated the #1 contender, Toryn -- former champion he'd been unable to beat! Genku is the fighter returned from the dead who vanquished the powers who manipulated him but failed to capitalize on an unsuspecting champion!
The Spoils of War must now be divided among the victors! Equal share is not an option. Only the strong will thrive, to go on to challenge for the greatest prize of them all -- the Undisputed Championship!...
9. Cr0w d. Mimik in a +4 decimation!
Winning Tournament 3 at Supercard 2 was the beginning of his rise, but only in the last month or so has Mimik shown the extent of his powers! A steady string of victories have asserted him as one of the new top contenders in The Great Arena, buoyed by a devastating rampage through the Battle Royal ranks at Supercard 6, after an impressive five-win streak at Tower of Power, ended when he faced Cr0w.
Having scored back-to-back victories over arch-rival Kron, including leading his team to victory at Supercard 6; Cr0w clearly represented the ultimate challenge for a title-bound Mimik. Alas; this was one sizeable monkey to try to get off his back! Mimik was sound in his attack of the match, but Cr0w was finally fighting at full force at the right time! The original Undisputed Champion unleashed a relatively modest +4 decimation of his opponent, reaching a level that few can challenge. Mimik will no doubt remain one of the key figures in the contender rankings, but after dominating his enemies, Cr0w has undeniably dominated The Great Arena! It can now be only a matter of time before he demands the Championship match he so depserately covets, against a Champion he personally resents, despises, and envies.
8. Genku d. ElJobber in a convincing victory.
Back among the living as a result of a Pre-Show Easter resurrection; Genku was unsuccessful in his attempt to turn the tables on an unsuspecting Ratt, who he partnered with at Supercard 6 as a neutral team against the Barons of Lord Mislukking! In contrast, ElJobber was the #1 draft pick who, on the side of Team Cr0w, earned his first victory against then-#1 contender, Toryn.
Clearly there was a freshness about Genku, who faced off an ElJobber lacking the energy that propelled him to the key win. Perhaps it was the pressure of evening the overall scores between Team Cr0w and Team Kron that took its toll. Either way, Genku could not be denied the big win he needed to sustain his whirlwind return to the ranks of the living!
7. Shoe d. TonyTheTiger in a decimation!
Eager to reclaim the spoils of a top ten ranking, TonyTheTiger looked to Tournament 4 winner and relative newcomer, Shoe, for the chance to weasel back in. Despite a reputation for capitalizing on the smallest of opportunities, TTT was unable to put his best effort into the fight! Still wearing a defeat from Shoe at Tower of Power, plus the indignity of being eliminated by STEROLIZER in the Supercard 6 Battle Royal; TTT will clearly have to go back to the drawing board if he's to reclaim a spot among the chosen!
6. Hokey & Ninja_Mime d. Casselman & SubMan799 in a decimating team victory!
Keen to break into the duo ranks, Casselman & SubMan799 got a harsh initiation at Supercard 6 when they debuted against rank team favourites, Scott-Howell & Murdoink! It was out of the frypan and into the fire for the newest team in The Great Arena, clashing with what many consider to be the best duo currently fighting, Hokey & Ninja_Mime. Experience was to be the overwhelming factor as the younger, less seasoned pairing took another harsh class in the school of hard knocks!
Hokey & Ninja_Mime continue to dominate the duo ranks, despite being noted solo competitors! Frequently listed in the unofficial top ten contender rankings, the question of loyalty lingers, given that their acquaintance was pleasant, but unexpected. As a duo they have consistently attained unbeatable status, but the Undisputed Championship has torn apart bigger teams that these, to say nothing of the entire Team Cr0w!
5. CaTigeReptile d. GuiltyByDesign in a close grudge match!
It was at Supercard 4 that CaTigeReptile initially demonstrated her total disregard for notions of sisterhood! Eliminating GuiltyByDesign in the Grand Prix Battle Royal set-up a perfect rematch at Supercard 6, but the domination wreaked by Mimik saw missed opportunities. Free of the team obligation, GBD clutched closer at revenge than might have otherwise been expected! Never the less, it was CaTigeReptile who stood tall, continuing her rise through the ranks!
4. DeathScepter & Chromatose d. Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon.
Described by Cr0w as two of the most underrated fighters in competition, Pink_Ragner & Ghostdragon once again failed to unite to prove their true worth. The impromptu tandem of DeathScepter & Chromatose brought together two fighters who've had plenty of experience battling it out in the second tier ranks, but nobody could've expected it to produce a winning combination so quickly! The first-timers delivered repeat disappointment for PR & GD, but as long as Team Cr0w hold dominance over The Great Arena, they should have the opportunity to redeem themselves!
3. Baraka_MK d. Tyrant-Cenobite in a solid result.
The question of who attacked Tyrant-Cenobite at Supercard 4 has been a lingering threat throughout his many battles. Speculation about any culpability toward Baraka_MK was quashed as quickly as Tyrant's chances of victory. TC finally confirmed that he does indeed know who his attacker was and that he would reveal that information when it was more advantageous.
2. Reiko d. Zedox in a close fought Bonus Match.
In a double debut, Zedox stepped into the fray against Reiko. Despite some billing as a promising next big thing, Zedox failed to perform in a match that saw some confusion over initial results. Clarification brought with it a surprise first-time winner, Reiko taking it away in a close fought battle.
1. nif d. Simon in a close fought Bonus Match.
With The Great Arena dominated by the members of Team Cr0w, neutral fighters were the only ones allowed admittance in for additional match-ups. nif debuted at Pre-Show 6 with a victory over NightHawk and looked enthusiastic about continuing it in a well met clash with Simon!
With victory secured Cr0w has asserted himself the strongest among a union of powers. Team Kron have been forced from The Great Arena, exiled in the power struggle that began between two bitter rivals, but has been expanded upon by an act of war. The future is now uncertain! May 22 is Supercard 7, but as long as Team Cr0w dominate the stage, then any notion of schedule is impossible to anticipate.
Where once honor and the purity of combat had brought order to a land beseiged, chaos has begun to reign. This apparent corruption of The Great Arena poses difficult questions for Mick and Ares Menschlich -- two sides of the same coin, men who are opposed by nature but united in purpose. They have lost control of their competition, will they be able to do anything about it?...

Schedule: The Spoils of War!
With Team Kron vanquished, to the victors go the spoils!
Their triumph has earned them supremacy over The Great Arena, but the warriors drafted into Team Cr0w are not about to play together nicely!
Supercard 6 was but a means to an end for these fighters who battle for individual glory! With the herd thinned, the strong survive to rise against the remaining pool of contenders! Team Cr0w may have wrested control over the fighting stakes for moment, but with the top three contenders among their ranks, there can be no illusions about a common enemy. Only a common desire to reap the rewards and feast upon The Spoils of War!
Pre-Show 7: The Spoils of War (May 8, 2011)
1. Mimik versus Cr0w
He was Cr0w's trusted second choice in the battle against Team Kron, but when it came to a twelve-person Battle Royal at Supercard 6, Mimik eliminated friend and foe indiscriminately! As one of the fastest rising contenders in The Great Arena, the Tournament 3 winner faces his biggest challenge, against the Tournament 2 winner who ended his rampage through the ranks with a devastating +11 impact at Tower of Power! A champion may be made when the top two unofficial contenders clash in an epic rematch for the Spoils of War!
2. Genku versus ElJobber
Some say being beaten to death by Lord Mislukking is a fate worse than death -- and others say it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! Genku may be back amongst the living, but (after)-life as a Revenant minion hasn't improved his attitude at all! ElJobber has the monkey off his back after finally beating Toryn in a decimation at Supercard 6 which he feels makes him the rightful #1 contender! Genku disagrees, claiming he never got his come-uppance after winning Tournament 1. Contender stakes will be on the line when ElJobber and Genku fight for the Spoils of War!
3. TonyTheTiger versus Shoe
He has once again been shunted from the glorious hopes of the unofficial top ten contenders, but TonyTheTiger always bounces back! Ever the opportunist, he will attempt to live down the indignity of being the first man eliminated from a Battle Royal by STEROLIZER, with a ranking rematch against Shoe! Shoe has also found himself falling out of grace with a string of losses, but the Tournament 4 winner will get a chance at reprisal when they fight for the Spoils of War in this Tower of Power rematch!
4. Casselman & SubMan799 versus Hokey & Ninja_Mime
Out of the pan and into the fire! Casselman & SubMan799 debuted as a Great Arena duo against the hard task of Scott-Howell & Murdoink! They'll bite off the second toughest combo to chew when they face-off against the top ten pedigree combination of Hokey & Ninja_Mime in the ultimate school of hard knocks!
5. CaTigeReptile versus GuiltyByDesign
It was during the Supercard 4 Thirty-Person Battle Royal that CaTigeReptile shocked The Great Arena with a string of eliminations, namely the exit of kororaa and GuiltyByDesign! Sisterhood be damned as GBD cashes in on the opportunity for payback she missed in the Battle Royal at Supercard 6!
6. Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon versus DeathScepter & Chromatose
Described by Cr0w was two of the most underrated fighters in The Great Arena; Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon will reunite after their upset defeat at Supercard 6 for a chance to confirm themselves as worthy competitors! DeathScepter & Chromatose are no strangers, but without the chemistry and experience that helped DECEPTION & Onryo over the line, the Spoils of War may be beyond them!
7. Tyrant-Cenobite versus Baraka_MK
At Supercard 4, Tyrant-Cenobite was attacked! Someone wanted to prevent him from entering the Thirty-Person Battle Royal, but if he knows who did it, he isn't talking! Is Baraka_MK just another opponent to be fought, or will the biggest mystery in The Great Arena finally get an answer?
The future of The Great Arena remains uncertain as the members of Team Kron are forced out by the ruling majority of Team Cr0w! The threat of Lord Mislukking and his Order of Barons has become a distant memory as fighters turn against each other, united in the pursuit of mutual destruction. Ratt battles alone, the Undisputed Champion with the biggest bullseye on his back. What can come beyond the most intense Pre-Show The Great Arena has ever seen? Only time will tell!

Supercard 6: Team Cr0w vs Team Kron!
The Bitter Peace has ended. Alliances are no longer a factor.
The feud between two of the biggest rivals in the history of The Great Arena has reached boiling point. There are no more distractions. Everyone must choose a side before the battlelines are drawn, or risk being caught in the crossfire. This is a war!
Thirty-two fighters have been drafted into two armies, but no war begins with the formation of sides. May 1 will be the day scores are settled, but this is a story that has lasted as long as The Great Arena itself. A tale of two fighters -- destined to tear The Great Arena in two...
Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion January 11, 2011
In the final stage of a gruelling sixty-four person elimination tournament, Cr0w and Kron met for the first time on record. Their rivalry had already begun and with the first crowning of the Undisputed Championship on the line, their initial encounter was controversially deemed non-applicable due to an absence of officials. When the match restarted, it was Cr0w who emerged the victor, making history as the winner of Tournament 2 and the first ever Undisputed Champion.
Supercard 1: Battle Royale 2011 January 30, 2011
In a blockbuster Championship rematch, Cr0w defended his title against Kron. Kron had made himself an elusive target in the weeks leading up to the big moment, fighting with a refreshment that defied his former result and earned him his first victory over Cr0w and first reign as Undisputed Champion. This first recorded rematch was also the beginning of the saga, unleashing a bitter vein in Cr0w that would not soon dissipate.
Supercard 2: Triple Double - The Eliminator February 20, 2011
Cr0w began his revenge by destroying the Champion's friend and ally, Porygonix, before attempting to do the same in a second Undisputed Championship rematch, this time as challenger. Cr0w attacked Kron with an aggression not seen in their previous battles, but it was not enough to overcome the Champion's defense. The bitter rivalry between Cr0w and Kron was seemingly concluded, just as it was heating up.
Supercard 4: The Ultimate Grand Prix April 3, 2011
A month in The Great Arena is a long time, evidenced by the change in dynamic during Kron and Cr0w's time apart. While Cr0w remain fixated by his quest to reclaim the Undisputed Champion, Kron had had the opportunity to lose the title before the biggest event in history. The magnitude of the event would be enough to unite them as an unlikely unified front, battling as a powerful duo against the Barons of Famine and Pestilence. For the first time in their history, the pair shared the glory.
Supercard 5: The Tower of Power April 17, 2011
In a Tower of Power erected of the best fighters in The Great Arena, Cr0w and Kron would be inevitably thrown against each other once more. Their peace short lived, it was Cr0w who finally evened the score, destroying Kron's hopes of recapturing the Championship in a total annihilation more convincing than any of their previous battles. Tied at two wins each, they lose all sight of the greater menace, turning their attentions to each other once more. More heated than ever, the feud between Cr0w and Kron now engulfs the entire arena as others are drafted into their war.
TEAM CR0W: ElJobber, Mimik, TonyTheTiger, Shoe, Ninja_Mime, Pink_Ranger, Hokey, Ghostdragon, Baraka_MK, DeathScepter, SubMan799, CaTigeReptile, Casselman, Tyrant-Cenobite, Chromatose, GuiltyByDesign
TEAM KRON: Toryn, The_Purple_Bunny, Porygonix, Jammer2Omega, DECEPTION, Ken, xtactics, m0s, ZachAngel, Scott-Howell, Kairyu, DaMo, STEROLIZER, onryo, Artanix, Murdoink
11. Cr0w d. Kron in a comprehensive grudge match!
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 5 - 4]
With the teams tied at 4-4 it was to be a storybook ending to a team battle, but for Cr0w and Kron, the individual stakes were far greater. With the most storied rivalry in the history of The Great Arena, they enter combat with a personal tie of 2-2. After enduring the loss of the Undisputed Championship, Cr0w had been the one to fight back to even the odds. With his team having done the same, it seemed Cr0w was destined to complete the follow through!
Neither man would walk away from their epic fifth encounter disgraced. Both were powerful, motivated and competitive. This was truly a fight that could have gone either way, but when it mattered most, Cr0w proved supremacy over his long running rival. The victory hands Cr0w a serious individual claim to the Undisputed Championship, but more than that, his team can now dominate The Great Arena unopposed! Things may not go according to plan for Cr0w, however. The furies that compelled Cr0w and Kron to battle now permeate to the rest of his team!
10. Ratt d. Genku in a decimating Championship defense!
Any act of heroism went out the window as Genku turned his sights on his partner, Ratt! Back among the living, Genku intended to return his candidacy to contention for the Undisputed Championship Ratt won from Toryn at Tower of Power, rekindling the feud he had in death!
As winner of Tournament 1, Genku was once considered to be rightful Undisputed Champion! Against the might of Ratt, that destiny would not be fulfilled, however! Having suffered post-match challenges so many times before, "The Iron Man" Ratt looked completely prepared for the impromptu match! It was with a +4 impact that he quashed Genku's hopes at an upstart victory! The surprise title defense makes Ratt the first Undisputed Champion to secure a second successful defense after winning the belt! With a list of contenders growing, there'll be plenty more challenges to come!
9. Ratt & Genku d. Famine & Pestilence in a convincing victory!
The story of Genku took a significant turn when he threw himself on the mercy of Lord Mislukking, resulting in an on-going feud with Ratt after he was resurrected as a pawn of the Baron of Death, Sinvida Von Grimm! Resurrected at Pre-Show 6 by Mick; Genku had the opportunity to strike back against his oppressors on the side of angels!
Side by side, Ratt & Genku provided a formidable combination, putting aside their differences to deliver a convincing defeat of Bez Busshitsu & Praga Conquette, the baron and baroness of Famine and Pestilence. The umpteenth defeat of these fiends proved another moral victory for the members of The Union of The Human League, which Genku is once again a member of. The resurrected fighter suggested Ares Menschlich -- Baron of War -- may have had a hand in the erratic behaviour that led to his suicide, but there was nothing erratic about the shock twist that was to follow...
8. ElJobber d. Toryn in a punishing +7 annihilation!
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 4 - 4]
Few stakes can measure up to a main event Championship match at the biggest event of them all, Supercard 4: The Ultimate Grand Prix, but at a 3-4 disadvantage for Team Cr0w, ElJobber certainly shouldered plenty of pressure against the former Undisputed Champion! In their two previous encounters, Toryn had had the better of his foe, but times have been tough over the past month. After losing his title to Ratt at Supercard 5, Toryn again missed his opportunity in a surprise challenge at Pre-Show 6!
With everything to play for, ElJobber confirmed the turn of fortunes by delivering a devastating +7 impact in his total annihilation of Toryn! An upset in the eyes of some, this shocking result is a monkey off the back of ElJobber, who lost a grip on his Championship race after the big loss at Supercard 4! There can be no doubt that both men will resume their pursuit, moving forward.
7. Hokey & Ninja_Mime d. Porygonix & xtactics in a thorough decimation!
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 3 - 4]
They started out enemies, but Porygonix & xtactics were unified by the draft that brought them together for Team Kron. Alas; the duo juggernaut that has been Hokey & Ninja_Mime was a harsh acid test for the newly conjoined rivals. Hokey and Mime have been stalwarts of the top ten solo competitors for quite some time, but it has been their acquaintance as a team that has canonized their top status in The Great Arena! As evidenced by their momentum shifting decimation, Hokey & Ninja_Mime are truly a force to be reckoned with!
6. The_Purple_Bunny d. Shoe in a solid win.
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 2 - 4]
Back from the dead, The_Purple_Bunny's high was interrupted at Tower of Power when he ran into a wall called Shoe! The returning fighter would turn the tables with a convincing competitive victory over his rival, earning payback with the sweet bonus of a two-win clearing for Team Kron!
5. Scott-Howell & Murdoink d. Casselman & SubMan799.
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 2 - 3]
Good friends and rising stars in The Great Arena, it made perfect sense that Casselman & SubMan799 would form a solid unit, even without the draft intervention of being picked for Team Cr0w. Against the growing experience of the affectionately known "first duo", however, best intentions and camaradarie wasn't going to be enough! "Sugar" Scott-Howell & Murdoink started slow, but have quickly become the most successful team in The Great Arena!
4. DECEPTION & Onryo d. Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon.
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 2 - 2]
Described by Cr0w as two of the most underrated competitors in The Great Arena, Pink_Ranger & Ghostdragon were unable to fulfill his high praise in their first outing as a designed duo. Following a first appearance at Pre-Show 6; DECEPTION & Onryo showed their was chemistry in their combination, arriving at a solid victory considered by some to be an upset! It was certainly an upset for Cr0w, who faced the prospect of another team tie!
3. Chromatose d. ZachAngel in a solid win.
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 2 - 1]
The two titans of talk squared off in The Great Arena with much more than words for their arsenal! With teams tied, Chromatose proved the value of experience for Team Cr0w, befuddling ZachAngel enough to stem his ZachAttack! The win marks a return to form for Chromatose, whose early successes have failed to be sustained in recent times.
2. Jammer2Omega d. Tyrant-Cenobite in a solid win.
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 1 - 1]
Who attacked Tyrant-Cenobite at Supercard 4? Few answers were to be provided in this elementary clash between TC and relative newcomer, Jammer2Omega. Representing Team Kron, J2O showed he was a worthy pick in the draw, delivering a confident win over the more seasoned Tyrant, an equalizer for his team.
1. Mimik (#2) eliminated DaMo (#12) to win the Battle Royal!
[Team Cr0w versus Team Kron total score: 1 - 0]
It wasn't just teams that went out the window in this twelve-person Battle Royal! The rivalries that were expected to tear Team Cr0w and Team Kron apart were never quite fulfilled, squashed by the individual ambition of a sleeping giant within the ranks! Mimik may have had a sweet deal starting the match off with teammate Baraka_MK, but instead opted to dispense a thorough beating, the first of a dominant seven eliminations!
It seemed as if noone would survive the fight with Mimik as CaTigeReptile (#3), Artanix (#4) and Ken (#5) were dealt with in rapid succession. Mimik's arch-rival, TonyTheTiger (#6) showed few signs of putting up a struggle, but endured the beating long enough to break the one-to-one elimination order, leaving Kairyu (#7) to taste elimination.
TonyTheTiger lasted long enough to see DeathScepter (#8) and STEROLIZER (#9) enter the battle, only to suffer the indignity of being eliminated by STERO after less than six minutes in the battle! The opportunistic elimination marked STEROLIZER's first success in three Battle Royals, but was soon upset by m0s (#11), who sent him packing as soon as he entered the match on STERO's third minute!
m0s managed to eliminate GuiltyByDesign (#10) next, after enduring a series of attacks from a still dominating Mimik. DaMo (#12) joined, opting to attack his beseiged teammate, rather than challenge the dominance of Mimik. It was elementary after that, confirming Mimik the opening victor for Team Cr0w after a truly dominating performance!
Competitor teams were: Team Cr0w: Mimik, TonyTheTiger, CaTigeReptile, GuiltyByDesign, Baraka_MK, DeathScepter Team Kron: Ken, m0s, Artanix, DaMo, STEROLIZER, Kairyu
It was a fairytale ending for Team Cr0w, who fought from behind to secure the overall win. Cr0w may have finally triumphed over his arch-rival and led his team to victory, but in doing so, may have only complicated his chase for the Undisputed Championship. Mimik's domination in the Battle Royal forces his claim for the belt, while ElJobber feels a victory over previous #1 contender, Toryn, makes him the next in line. Genku may have been unlucky in his return to the ranks of the living, but remains a hot potato. Kron may have tasted the ultimate defeat, but will surely remain on the periphery of the Championship landscape. Then there are the likes of Hokey and Ninja_Mime, who return to the top ten after supporting each other as a unit. How long will their alliance last? Those who were drafted to Team Cr0w will benefit from their allegiance, but this highly contest unofficial top ten means anyone could be the next official challenger!
On May 8 The Great Arena will belong to the victors, but their mutual alliance has quickly ended as Captain Cr0w is forced to defend himself from the attacks of his own team! Pre-Show 7: The Spoils of War will see Team Kron squeezed out of the arena, while Team Cr0w fight for their individual rights to rule!
The feud between two of the biggest rivals in the history of The Great Arena has reached boiling point. There are no more distractions. Everyone must choose a side before the battlelines are drawn, or risk being caught in the crossfire. This is a war!
