Supercard 1: Battle Royale 2011!

January 30, 2011 -- It was a surprisingly lowkey atmosphere as the biggest organized competition in #MicksDesk !fight history made it's awaited arrival! The first of the Ares Menschlich Supercards - The Great Arena was set to play host not only to the first defense of Undisputed Championship, but also an epic forty-man Battle Royale to determine the title contender for a future special event (in April).

The Battle Royale was set to be the main event, a randomly drawn bout of forty-men, each entering ninety seconds after the last to enter the melee with the goal of being last man standing. While the draw would be random, it was determined the preceeding week in a special Pre-Show Qualifiers card that nine competitors would be guaranteed entry: Ratt, ElJobber, Porygonix, Ninja_Mime, Genku, DeathScepter, Chromatose, Hokey, & Artanix!

Before the epic contender fight could occur, The Union of the Human League's Undisputed Champion needed to be determined. In a bout bringing together old rivals, Kron stepped into The Great Arena for a second chance at the title belt that eluded him in the grand final of Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion. The man who beat him, Cr0w, had continued to solidify his champion status in a string of unofficial bouts in the weeks that followed.

SuperCard 1 Undisputed Championship match:
1. Kron defeated Cr0w in a surprising comprehensive result!
In the week leading up to Battle Royale 2011, Kron had made himself an elusive figure. With a history of brutalizing weaker opponents to make up for occasional shock upsets, this could've been interpreted as cowardice. Instead, it proved to be the perfect preparation for his rematch against the most dominant force in The Great Arena!

Cr0w became the underdog in a battle where Kron appeared to be bringing his A-game! The Champion was not at all to be disgraced, presenting an attack that would've levelled most other competitors in the arena! It just wasn't enough to stop Kron's comprehensive assault, prematurely ending the dream of a dominant run for the champ! While Kron's absence would be felt after, Cr0w would not yet be finished in The Great Arena...

Supercard plans will see a very special event held in April, where all the players from The Great Arena will be assembled for an epic arrangement of grudge matches and special bouts. At this biggest of battles, grandest of occasions, a contender must match up to the champion who will have been hardened and honed to perfection over three months of competition! This contender will be unchallenged in the build toward April, guaranteed his title fight no matter the champion or circumstance. This contender will have bested thirty-nine other randomly drawn individuals to emerge as the ultimate fighter! This contender will be the winner of the first ever Battle Royale!

2. ElJobber (#33) eliminated Genku (#36) to win the Battle Royale!
The atmosphere was electric as the random draw began, introducing an interesting start point in #1 xxxsuicide-kittiexxx and #2 MINION! Things quickly heated up with the arrival of randomly drawn #4, Ken, who established himself as the first legitimate contender. He eliminated STEROLIZER the instant the #6 competitor entered, sending the first pre-show qualifier, [#5] Artanix, to join him a mere minute later!

The complexion of the match hit it's first major change with the arrival of another of the pre-show qualifiers, #9 random entrant and fan-favourite contender, Ratt! Ratt proceeded to cut through the competition, eliminating Ken with little ceremony! Ratt's elimination flurry also claimed Fires [#11] and ZachAngel [#18], while #15 Murdoink capitalized on his forceful entry into the match, ditching [#12] Torchia and [#17] GuiltyByDesign in quick succession!

#13 entrant, wife_smasher, proved to be a surprise package, harassing many of the competitors in the match, including #26, Scott-Howell, who was assaulted the instant he entered! #30 muttonhead challenged STEROLIZER with an abrupt elimination, lasting just four seconds before #23, Buster, sent him packing with a devastating blow! [#22] ThePredator151 sent out some hard rocking shots, granting Buster another elimination with a knock-out blow to [#16] ThirtyThr33!

#32 produced excitement as Hokey entered the Battle Royale, the beginning of a star studded run that saw other qualifiers and noteworthy names, #33 ElJobber, #34 Ninja_Mime, #35 Porygonix, #36 Genku, and #37 TonyTheTiger! The six joined Ratt, Murdoink, wife_smasher, and [#31] unixpunk in their strong positioning in the bout.

ElJobber set about delivering shocking blows to wife_smasher and DeathScepter, while Porygonix looked good devastating unixpunk and elimating #24 entrant, Vultyrex! TonyTheTiger showed an opportunistic streak, sneaking a string of eliminations in, claiming ThePredator151, #27 Chromatose, and DeathScepter! TonyTheTiger's involvement allowed ElJobber to renew his rivalry with Tony, delivering some hard shots, and delighting in Ratt's attack on his foe, too. Ratt and Genku triggered a rapidfire clean-out with the successive eliminations of [#19] Queequeg, [#38] NovaStarr, and unixpunk!

ElJobber began asserting himself against the remaining legitimate challengers, delivering heavy blows to TonyTheTiger and Ratt. The exchange granted Genku opportunity to eliminate TonyTheTiger from the event, a twist of irony given Tony's delight at Genku's intervention earlier in the Battle Royale! Porygonix rose to challenge ElJobber with a knock-out blow, turning his attentions to Ninja_Mime after that. ElJobber joined in, unleashing a double dose of devastation on Ninja_Mime, eventuating in his elimination! ElJobber and Ratt then tied up, ElJobber getting the better of a fatigued Ratt, who managed to withstand a flurry of attacks, despite his unrivalled duration in the Battle Royale! Genku double-teamed Ratt, delivering a double dose that gave ElJobber the elimination, ending Ratt's stay at a phenomenal one hour, nine minutes, and fifty-three seconds!

With two men remaining, it turned into a one on one slobber knocker between ElJobber and Genku! Genku rose to the occasion, racing into the fight again and again, but ElJobber was just too strong and too fresh. The #33 entrant defeated #36, to end the Battle Royale after one hour and twenty minutes of competition!

After the match, Cr0w returned to The Great Arena to intimidate the Battle Royale winner! Cr0w went on a small rampage, defeating competitors and bystanders in a show of strength that included a +9 impact on tabmok99 -- who has since bowed out of the competitive ranks! Cr0w mocked the credibility of ElJobber's late entry win, making his intentions to remain in the championship picture very clear to an uncertain April-bound contender!

Battle Royale 2011: Qualifier Pre-Show Results

January 30, 2011 -- The Great Arena will play host to what promises to be one of the biggest battles that will ever be seen in #MicksDesk! Battle Royale 2011 will mark the first of Ares Menschlich's regular super-cards, featuring not only an exciting rematch Championship between Cr0w and Kron, but also the first ever forty-man Battle Royale!

The Battle Royale match will feature a random draw of forty men, introduced into the arena one at a time at ninety second intervals. The match will end when only one man is standing, declaring him the winner of Battle Royale 2011, and the #1 contender in waiting for a shot at the Undisputed Championship at a very special ultimate super-card in April!

With championship glory hanging in the balance, it was decided that The Union of The Human League's unofficially ranked contenders should be granted opportunity to guarantee themselves entry into the forty-man draw. Consequently, contenders two through ten were matched up with other hopeful competitors likely to put on a great show!

Battle Royale 2011 Pre-Show Qualifiers:
1. Ratt [#3] defeated DECEPTION in a good match.
In a clash of two of the biggest heroes of The Great Arena, it was babyface versus babyface -- Ratt versus DECEPTION! Cited as a peripheral contender with comparable stats, DECEPTION looked sure to make it a legitimate challenge, but in the end, simply could not deny the red hot Ratt! Having already enjoyed the success of tournament semi-final berths, Ratt now looks ahead to the forty-man battle royale, where luck will play as much a part as skill!

2. ElJobber [#10] defeated TonyTheTiger in a decimation.
Billed as something of a grudge bout, the night's semi-main event saw a rematch between Tournament 2 First Round eliminee, El Jobber, and the man responsible for that shocking upset, TonyTheTiger! El Jobber's championship hopes weren't going to be dashed before they begun this time, however. TonyTheTiger was by no means in poor form, but El Jobber's longterm dedication meant a one-sided end was all that could wait. His T2 early elimination placed him tenth, but in the eyes of many, El Jobber will enter as a legitimate contender for the win.

3. Porygonix defeated Toryn [#6] in a shocking upset!
After sparking controversy from a marathon slaughter of NPCs and unsuspecting users, Toryn earned significant heel status during Tournament 1. In the build-up to Battle Royale qualifiers, some dared to joke about the chance of an upset -- but no one could've seen it coming! Toryn performed atrociously in his match, well beneath the expectations of his peak, handing Porygonix a narrow win in these qualifying matches. Toryn will no doubt be furious about the result and keen to exact revenge, should he find his way into the Battle Royale by way of random draw!

4. Ninja_Mime [#7] defeated Mimik in a comprehensive win!
In a clash of old allies, the number seven contender looked comfortable in his showdown with Mimik. A bit of surprise package in Tournament 2, Ninja_Mime is a very solid competitor, despite being relatively quiet within !fight circles. As one of only nine guaranteed qualifiers, will Ninja_Mime be able to retain that anonymity, or has he just earned a target on his back?

5. Genku [#2] defeated The_Purple_Bunny in a decimation.
Winner of Tournament 1 and unofficially ranked next-in-line for a shot at the Undisputed Championship, Genku had the weight of expectation to contend with, as well as his opponent. Fortunately for him, The_Purple_Bunny was woeful in his qualifying match, posing little threat to a Genku that could've competed with the best, on this occasion. Genku now enters the forty-man Battle Royale, but with a draw that is completely random, will enjoy no perks as #2 contender!

6. DeathScepter [#5] defeated DaMo in a comprehensive punishment!
A bizarre and elusive figure known for his curious syntax, DeathScepter remains something of an unknown quantity againts all comers. If anyone was going to be on the same page as DS, however, it seemed likely that it would be DaMo. Ultimately, any mutual understanding was moot. DeathScepter absolutely dominated DaMo, delivering a +3 impact -- the highest of the qualifiers!

7. Chromatose [#8] defeated tabmok99 in a narrow win.
It was to be a scrappy battle for seventh qualifying spot when these two incredibly well matched neophytes squared off. tabmok99 was valiant in his efforts, but narrowly failed to take down the unlikely number eight contender. Chromatose now moves forward as a guaranteed participant in the forty-man battle royale, but with quite modest statistics and a minimum of experience, his odds are as long as anyone else's. Of course, in a forty-man battle royale, everyone's odds are wild!

8. Hokey [#4] defeated CaTigeReptile in a comprehensive win.
As understated as they come, Hokey proves to be a curious competitor every time he's booked. The number four contender by no means has the most experience, or the best record away from competition, but when it matters most, he shows an uncanny knack for pulling out the win. It was a comprehensive shutdown of CTR, which sets Hokey up for a golden run in the Battle Royale! Will this lucky sunnuva gun continue his streak with a late, winning draw?

9. Artanix qualified for the Battle Royale by default.
In a shocking twist of fate, #9 ranked contender foahchon was unable to compete in his qualifying match, the victim of #1 contender, Kron! foahchon earned a name for himself in Tournament 2 as an upstart challenger eliminated by Genku in the Third Round, working off the experience of a near-death scrape. Sadly, foahchon's dance with death finally caught up with him in Kron's impromptu attack. It casts an interesting light on the Championship challenger, who had been experiencing a spate of bad luck in the lead-up to his title rematch. Artanix moves into a guaranteed entry in the Battle Royale.

Ratt, ElJobber, Porygonix, Ninja_Mime, Genku, DeathScepter, Chromatose, Hokey, Artanix...

The nine winners now look forward to guaranteed entry into next week's Battle Royale, where they will compete with thirty-one other randomly drawn particpants for the chance to face the Champion in far off April. Qualifying is only a ticket to the dance, however. Each competitor will face the same odds as their randomly selected fellows, potentially coming face to face with the people they had to climb over!

Also next week, do not miss the action
Cr0w will make his first defense as Undisputed Champion when he faces off against the man he beat to win it; Kron! Both men have been training keenly and are sure to put on a blockbuster bout when they meet next week, January 30 in #MicksDesk!

#MicksDesk Battle Royale 2011!

After a whirlwind of tournament action, The Union of The Human League crowned its first ever champion -- Tournament 2 winner, Cr0w! Now comes the first true test of his championship mettle as the UoHL officially announce Battle Royale 2011!

January 30, 2011 will mark the special occasion, pitting Cr0w against his Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion Grand Final rival, Kron, in his first championship defense! In day-to-day competition, Kron has been on a bit of a slide of late, but he proved himself a worthy number one contender throughout the battles prior to, and during, Tournament 1 and 2.

Other would-be contenders will not be left out of the special event!
After Cr0w and Kron determine who will reign as Champion in January, a special forty-man elimination event will determine a locked in contender for a special event in April, to be held on the 3rd! This special battle royal event will see a randomly drawn competitor enter the match at intervals of approximately ninety seconds, until thirty-nine have been eliminated, leaving only one battle royal winner. Among the competitors likely to be drawn from the 100+ list of eligible fighters, unofficial contenders; Genku, Ratt, Hokey, Toryn, ElJobber, and the stars who entered the unofficial rankings at the conclusion of T2.

More information about the event may be made available in the leading weeks. Be sure to check back for updates!

EDIT: In the lead-up to the Battle Royale special event, The Union of The Human League will hold nine qualifier matches, offering unofficially ranked contenders the opportunity to guarantee a spot in the event. • Genku [#2] versus The_Purple_Bunny

  • Ratt [#3] versus DECEPTION

  • Hokey [#4] versus CaTigeReptile

  • DeathScepter [#5] versus DaMo

  • Toryn [#6] versus Porygonix

  • Ninja_Mime [#7] versus Mimik

  • Chromatose [#8] versus tabmok99

  • foahchon [#9] versus Artanix

  • ElJobber [#10] versus TonyTheTiger

Tournament 2: A Champion is Crowned

With sixty men and women eliminated, the time to crown the first ever Champion of the People was at hand. Quarter Finals had set up an exciting and unpredictable mix, three of the four predicted seeds present to the end. #2 seed, Toryn, was shockingly claimed in the Third Round by Ratt -- a fan-favourite who overachieved in both tournaments, but failed to reach the final four.

    The Semi Finals:
    1. Cr0w [#3] defeated Genku [#1] in a devastating decimation!
After winning Tournament 1 and continuing undefeated to this point, it was fair to assume the #1 seed might sneak through. Cr0w lived up to his statistical potential, however, embarassing Genku with a decimation the likes of which has rarely been seen. Genku walked away relatively unscathed, suffering a minimum +1 impact, but was made an example of by the #3 seed, who has been critical of lower ranked users fighting high. Anyone can succeed, but on the wrong day, anyone can get stomped, too!

    2. Kron [#4] defeated DeathScepter in a punishing decimation!
After his elimination in Tournament 1 by DaMo, Kron was approaching every unknown quantity with a healthy dose of caution. DeathScepter got a devastating +4 taste of Kron's power, when the #4 seed crushed any hopes of an upset before the Grand Final. DeathScepter never looked like a legitimate contender, despite eliminating a great eliminator, Ratt, in the previous round.

Thus, the stage was set for a championship grand final.
Cr0w, the #3 seed with a disdain for fighters who haven't earned their place, who perhaps wants the championship more than anyone else. Kron, the #4 seed with the credibility to test Cr0w in every way possible, a fighter who refuses to give up on the championship. Though ranked third and fourth in each tournament, they were the only human seeds from Tournament 1, and so, remain the fiercest of competitive rivals. Only one can become the first champion...

    Championship Grand Final:
The Quest for a Champion was delayed for dramatic effect, set to begin when Kron was available to face his opponent. When he was, everything appeared to be set to go ahead with the approval of The Union of The Human League. However, even though a fight took place, it was not witnessed by the appropriate audience, and deemed necessary to be restarted upon agreement between the two competitors. Cr0w had enjoyed the better luck in a close fought initial stage, but after the restart, could not be denied. It was a comprehensive result in this Grand Final with both men out performing their previous efforts, but Cr0w, the better off.

The winner and first ever champion: Cr0w!

After the fight, Kron had no intention of allowing Cr0w to celebrate the win unopposed. He vowed to return for a rematch, disappointed with his comprehensive loss, and convinced a better result would find him in the future. Cr0w will next be required to defend his championship on January 30, 2011. It seems very likely that his opponent will indeed be Kron, but that may be subject to change. Also not entirely certain is the possibility of a thirty-man random draw battle that will determine a future #1 contender for Cr0w's title, to be held on the same day. Information will be confirmed when available.

As it stands, there is no official committe to determine a #1 contender. At some point in the future, users may be consulted to form such a lobby, but for the time being, there can only be a shortlist of unofficial ranked contenders. After two tournaments, they probably look something like this:

    Champion: Cr0w
    #1 Kron
    #2 Genku
    #3 Ratt
    #4 Hokey
    #5 DeathScepter
    #6 Toryn
    #7 Ninja_Mime
    #8 Chromatose
    #9 foahchon
    #10 ElJobber

    Tournament 2: Quarter Final Complete

They began with sixty-four, but now The Union of The Human League preside over eight men. The first of their predicted seeds has fallen, but in his place, a new name has risen to champion the people. Only one of them can wear the symbol of the human spirit, only one of them can represent the will to fight. These final eight have already earned respect, but in the Quarter Finals, they’re fighting with everything to gain, and everything to lose. There can be only one first ever #MicksDesk Champion!

    Quarter Final Results:
    1. Genku [#1] defeated Ninja_Mime in a comprehensive win.
Genku's undefeated tournament streak entered it's tenth stage as Ninja_Mime succumbed to the championship favourite. Genku's reign as #1 seed has gone largely undiscussed, but with a string of tough competitors, it was reasonable to ask if his luck might run out against a solid challenger in Ninja_Mime. The result, conclusive but not too punishing for NM, sets Genku up with his second tournament Semi Final berth.

    2. Cr0w [#3] defeated Hokey in a blockbuster encounter.
Cr0w entered Tournament 1 with top seed status among users, but was quickly undone when a snafu against NPC Aqua eliminated him early. Hokey, a quiet contender who had a generous draw in the Quest for a Champion, was probably counting on that to be the monkey on Cr0w's back in his play for title glory. Alas; the recently critical #3 seed fought to a standard that supports his belief in hard work, defeating Hokey in a main event clash worthy of the hype! Though defeated, Hokey walks away with a lot of credibility for his technical encounter, one that truly matched Cr0w, but left him in fighting form for the Semi Final! You've got to believe that these two will meet again at some point in the future!

    3. Kron [#4] defeated Chromatose in a comprehensive win.
Like Cr0w, Kron tasted upset in Tournament 1 when he was shockingly eliminated by DaMo in an early round. The unknown quantity of Chromatose may have spooked this headlining contender, but when push came to shove, there was no doubt. Kron wasn't quite at full power, but still managed an absolutely convincing +2 impact against Chromatose -- the only heavy hit of the round. Kron moves forward with a renewed sense of credibility, but will still face the prospect of upset when he arrives for the Semi Final!

    4. DeathScepter defeated Ratt in a close fought upset.
The dream of a second Semi Final for Ratt had a lot of people believing, but the fan-favourite's statistical base caught up with him in a fight where he was overwhelming favourite, despite being evenly match on paper. Ratt achieved incredible things in this tournament, defeating #2 seed Toryn in the biggest upset we've ever seen. Now DeathScepter picks up the torch for a Semi Final encounter, but does he have the heart and determination to defeat a seed as well?

Eight become four as The Union of The Human League prepares to crown it's first ever #MicksDesk Champion! Their seeds have been remarkably accurate, with three of the four making the cut for a Semi Final berth. The Championship will represent more than mere victory, existing as a symbol of the human spirit to strive for success and survival. It is forged in the fire of industry and courage. There will only be one champion, but they will stand for all of us against the dark tyrant, Lord Mislukking!

    Semi Final Bracket:
    1. Genku [#1] versus Cr0w [#3]
This is it! For the first time in tournament history, two seeds will do battle in an attempt to prove their true worth. Genku remains undefeated in tournament competition, but with one of the best records against man and minion, Cr0w will be the ultimate test for this hotshot contender for the first ever Championship. Genku is humble in victory and has earned his status, but I wouldn't expect that to make Cr0w any more forgiving with a Grand Final position waiting!

    2. Kron [#4] versus DeathScepter
Nobody could've predicted DeathScepter's arrival this deep into the tournament, which is exactly what will keep Kron guessing as he casts one eye to the Championship, with the other nervously on his opponent. DeathScepter, a bizarre individual known for "unique" thinking, will need to innovate something big to take a headliner like Kron down, but in this game, on any given day, you never can be sure!

    #MicksDesk Tournament 2: Round 3 Complete

With the #MicksDesk Championship waiting just three stages away, it was a tense round of sixteen in the first ever all-user tournament under The Union of The Human League. An upset victory saw #2 seed, Toryn, eliminated by growing favourite, Ratt, but it wasn't unexpected by everyone! Cr0w has emerged as a staunch critic of Ratt's success, unimpressed by the motivation and experiences his brushes with death have given him. Cr0w was comfortable in his unquestioned decimation of Pink_Ranger, but no doubt has eyes toward the later rounds, when Ratt could threaten his chances.

It was this time in the last tournament that Cr0w was the victim of a shock elimination, his fate sealed by NPC Aqua. Kron was another seed claimed early in the previous tournament, but he too has enjoyed far better results this time, dishing out a devastation of his own against onryo! Kron completes the triangle of debate, having contributed much of the damage to Ratt's trial by fire rise from the ashes. Ironically enough, it will be Kron who confronts Ratt's newfound powers before Cr0w, should all the players concerned make it to the pointy end of the finals.

foahchon is another user emerging from the clutches of total annihilation with a newfound power. Alas, his deadman's revenge wasn't enough to get him across the line against #1 seed, Genku, who will be relieved to have looked convincing in their Third Round encounter. With Ratt assuming the place of eliminated Toryn; the seeds remain the pillars around which the tournament is forged, unmoving as they close in on the top prize!

One man who might have a few things to say about the seeding, however, is Hokey. This dark horse delivered the heavy hit of the round with a +3 impact against relative unknown, Skaven13. Hokey's draw has been particularly generous, requiring defeats of largely unseasoned participants in ThePredator151, foster177, and Skaven13. Hokey made a convincing play for the Semi Finals of Tournament 1, but to do it again, will have to fight through a surly Cr0w.

Ninja_Mime elevated himself with a good win over Artanix, while DeathScepter and Chromatose added value to their stock in solid bouts with CaTigeReptile and tabmok99. Each will make an argument for themselves as part of a second tier of competitors as the !fights move forward.

    Round 3 Results:
    1. Genku [#1] defeated foahchon in a convincing win.
    2. Ninja_Mime defeated Artanix in a comprehensive win.
    3. Hokey defeated Skaven13 with a punishing +3 impact!
    4. Cr0w [#3] defeated Pink_Ranger in an absolute decimation!
    5. Kron [#4] defeated onryo in another decimation.
    6. Chromatose defeated tabmok99 in a close fight.
    7. DeathScepter defeated CaTigeReptile.
    8. Ratt defeated Toryn [#2] in a close fought upset elimination!

They began with sixty-four, but now The Union of The Human League preside over eight men. The first of their predicted seeds has fallen, but in his place, a new name has risen to champion the people. Only one of them can wear the symbol of the human spirit, only one of them can represent the will to fight. These final eight have already earned respect, but in the Quarter Finals, they're fighting with everything to gain, and everything to lose. There can be only one first ever #MicksDesk Champion!

    Quarter Finals Bracket:
    1. Genku [#1] versus Ninja_Mime
There will be absolutely no love lost when Ninja_Mime attempts to end the success of old sparring rival, Genku. The #1 seed earned his place by winning a tournament that claimed Ninja_Mime in it's fourth round, but Genku's path through the two tournaments has been a long and arduous one. Will the Ninja_Mime play to his best and be a silent assassin that ends Genku's second shot at glory, or will the only undefeated tournament fighter maintain his record?

    2. Hokey versus Cr0w [#3]
Despite his success as one of the most dominant !fighters in the game, Cr0w doesn't like the way things are developing around him. Hokey's dream run to the finals can only have raised the ire of a fighter who demands the best from his opponents. With a nasty chip on his shoulder, and everything to prove after a shock elimination in the last tournament, Cr0w will be throwing all he's got at a man who has every chance of creating another upset. The blockbuster main event of the round, where the winner might very well claim the first ever #MicksDesk Championship!

    3. Kron [#4] versus Chromatose
With almost no record to speak of, Chromatose enters the Quarter Finals as an unknown quantity. With a 3-2-0 record that includes a Second Round elimination from Tournament 1, he theoretically shouldn't even pose a threat to a man deemed worthy of the #4 seed. Yet, with so many unknown factors, Kron has every reason to approach with uncertainty. Spooked by a shock defeat to DaMo in Tournament 1, Kron will take no chances when he attempts to set up a Semi Final berth for glory.

    4. DeathScepter versus Ratt
Fighting with a determination and tenacity that can only be attained by someone who knows the bitter taste of total defeat; Ratt is a !fighter who poses a threat to everyone he faces! Characterized by his enthusiasm for the game, Ratt has become a sentimental favourite in the Quest for a Champion! He's escaped death, but will he escape the warped syntax of DeathScepter? On paper, they're evenly matched in stats and wits, but is DeathScepter a contender in spirit, or a pretender in name?

    #MicksDesk Tournament 2: Round 2 Complete

The Union of the Human League's four seed selections remained on target for a finals berth at the conclusion of the Second Round. Genku [#1] was the only seed to show signs of faltering, butting heads with a TonyTheTiger who showed signs of overachieving, both in this fight, and his First Round upset defeat of ElJobber. Kron [#4] looked much better against Shujinko, earning the heavy hit of the round with a +5 impact in that utter decimation.

foahchon, a man who stared demise in the face and came back from it, continued his second chance march, earning a convincing win over Porygonix. Fellow fighting survivor, Ratt, also showed signs of another return to impressive form, when he decimated buragas in one of the wins of the round. Ratt has been putting in extra time to earn his spot in recent days, solidifying his status as a fan-favourite with potential to win, without overstepping socially accepted levels. This is in contrast to #2 seed, Toryn, who earned the ire of his peers after a marathon five hour NPC/cheev slaughter during Tournament 1. Ratt will face Toryn in the next round, a rematch of the T1 Semi Final that saw Ratt unceremoniously eliminated by a convincing margin.

    Round 2 Results:
    1. Genku [#1] defeated TonyTheTiger.
    2. foahchon defeated Porygonix in a solid win.
    3. Ninja_Mime defeated CeeKay in a comprehensive win.
    4. Artanix defeated Shadaloo in a close fight.
    5. Skaven13 defeated Cyber_Axe in a very close fight.
    6. Hokey defeated foster177 in a comprehensive +3 victory.
    7. Pink_Ranger defeated jaytea in a solid win.
    8. Cr0w [#3] defeated Ken in an absolute decimation!
    9. Kron [#4] defeated Shujinko in a punishing decimation!
    10. onryo defeated Kairyu in a close fight.
    11. Chromatose defeated KombatKid.
    12. tabmok99 defeated m0s3pH in a close fight.
    13. CaTigeReptile defeated AlexanderLuthorJr in a narrow win.
    14. DeathScepter defeated Ghostdragon in a comprehensive win.
    15. Ratt defeated buragas in a threatening decimation!
    16. Toryn defeated rxvt in a comprehensive result.

The Third Round presents an eclectic mix of tested fighters and names yet to be established. Stars may be made in the middle bouts, even as the four seeds progress in their campaign to meet in the finals. A champion will be named when only two users are left standing. The first champion could be any of the men and women who will meet in the round of sixteen!

The top two seeds named by The Union of The Human League will get a real test in Round 3! Ratt looks for revenge against #2 seed, Toryn, when they meet in a rematch of Tournament 1's Semi Final. Toryn notoriously beefed his potential up with a marathon campaign before that stage, but this time, he faces a Ratt who has also put in some yards with minions and his fellow users! Genku will be dealing with much less certain factors when he clashes with foahchon -- a user who is fighting with the will of a man with nothing to lose! Foahchon was Genku's first victim in Tournament 1, which [Genku] eventually went on to win. Will history repeat itself, or has it merely come back to seek revenge on the #1 seed?

Cr0w [#3] will have a personal battle when he clashes with longtime friend and ally, Pink_Ranger! It'll be another clash of acquaintances when Ninja_Mime and Artanix meet in another feature fight. Hokey continues to enjoy a generous draw, heavy favourite to beat Skaven13 and rally his chances as a dark horse tournament winner! tabmok99, CaTigeReptile, and DeathScepter will also be fighting to establish their names in the lexicon of tournament victory!

    Round 3 Brackets:
    1. Genku [#1] versus foahchon
    2. Ninja_Mime versus Artanix
    3. Skaven13 versus Hokey
    4. Pink_Ranger versus Cr0w [#3]
    5. Kron [#4] versus onryo
    6. Chromatose versus tabmok99
    7. CaTigeReptile versus DeathScepter
    8. Ratt versus Toryn [#2]

    #MicksDesk Tournament 2: Round 1 Complete

The first tournament under the Union of The Human League produced fairly expected results, for the most part, with a string of close bouts in the lower ranks. Seeds Genku [#1], Toryn [#2], Cr0w [#3], and Kron [#4] enjoyed unquestioned wins in their first round encounters, with Kron sharing double duty with foahchon for heaviest hit of the round. A +4 rated impact was dished out to MINION (by foahchon), and nikb in a rematch of his Round 3 bout with Kron in the last tournament. foahchon is running hot after a near-death encounter in the field, benefitting from a deadman revenge bonus and having nothing to lose!

TonyTheTiger earned a close victory over ElJobber in the surprise upset of the round. ElJobber, close to the source of the tournament, was expected to be a potential challenge for #1 seed, Genku, in the Second Round. Ninja_Mime earned a solid win over DECEPTION, while Ratt came out better against Mimik in another feature fight. Hokey, Porygonix, CaTigeReptile, and Pink_Ranger all emerged successful from expected wins. Shadaloo was able to bounce back from his epic defeat in Tournament 1, a +9 impact delivered by Genku, that didn't hamper his success in the Quest for a Champion! Ken and rxvt also joined the winners list.

    Round 1 Results:
    1. Genku [#1] defeated Dolce in a comprehensive +2 win.
    2. TonyTheTiger defeated ElJobber in a close shock upset!
    3. Porygonix defeated CCShadow in a solid +2 win.
    4. foahchon defeated MINION in a +4 decimation!
    5. CeeKay defeated ZachAngel in a close fight.
    6. Ninja_Mime defeated DECEPTION in a solid win.
    7. Shadaloo defeated kororaa in a very close fight.
    8. Artanix defeated GBD in a close fight.
    9. Cyber_Axe defeated LadyRaiden in a close fight.

    19. Kairyu defeated RomanK in a close fight.
    20. onryo defeated iGornet in a close fight.
    21. KombatKid defeated kingjolly in a close fight.
    22. Chromatose defeated Quirk in a narrow win.
    23. tabmok99 defeated DigbyRigby in a close fight.
    24. m0s3pH defeated Bofh in another close fight.
    25. CaTigeReptile defeated ScottK in a solid win.
    26. AlexanderLuthorJr defeated Murdoink in a close fight.
    27. DeathScepter defeated Celeste in a close fight.
    28. Ghostdragon defeated ThirtyThr33 in a close fight.
    29. buragas defeated Twiztid_Ninja in a close fight.
    30. Ratt defeated Mimik in a comprehensive win.
    31. rxvt defeated Menas in a close fight.
    32. Toryn [#2] defeated Fires in a comprehensive +3 win.

The seeds remain hot favourites heading into the Second Round as Tournament 1 winner, Genku, faces the challenger of an over achieving TonyTheTiger. Porygonix will face deadman's revenge, foahchon, in one of the feature battles of the stage, with tabmok99 and m0s3pH in an interesting mid-card clash. Hokey has the chance to take dark horse honors when he faces foster177, tipped to be a cakewalk for the former. Ratt meets buragas with his chance at glory on the line once more.

    Round 2 Brackets (Already Underway):
    1. Genku [#1] versus TonyTheTiger
    2. Porygonix versus foahchon

    #MicksDesk Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion!

Forced to battle for the amusement of Lord Mislukking's horseman of War, Ares Menschlich; one hundred and nine users assembled for a tournament involving five NPCs, two of them members of the Four Barons themselves. Genku won Tournament 1 in a blockbuster final with another user, Toryn. Inspired by these feats, the people are now taking a stand!...

Sixty-four human beings will assemble under the union of The Human League for another elimination bracket -- this time, fighting for themselves!

Tournament 2: Quest for a Champion is another opportunity to test the mettle of the users who populate the ruined Cheevment Kingdom, organized to do as the sub-title claims -- find the first ever !RPCheev #MicksDesk !fight Champion!

To give equal opportunity, the Human League will undertake another random draw, selecting sixty from a possible seventy-four users. At each end of the two bracket halves will await four users deemed the most significant challengers worthy of manufactured seeding: #1 Genku, #2 Toryn, #3 Cr0w, and #4 Kron. These battle hardened warriors will meet no earlier than the Semi Finals, with the surrounding random draw able to determine their own destiny through skill and luck. After twelve hours of automated announcements in #MicksDesk, the draw is as follows:

    1. Genku [#1] versus Dolce
    2. ElJobber versus TonyTheTiger
    3. Porygonix versus CCShadow
    4. foahchon versus MINION
    5. ZachAngel versus CeeKay
    6. Ninja_Mime versus DECEPTION
    7. Shadaloo versus kororaa
    8. GBD versus Artanix
    9. LadyRaiden versus Cyber_Axe
    10. JRF versus Skaven13
    11. ThePredator151 versus Hokey

    #MicksDesk Tournament: The Finals

It began with 109 people, 5 NPCs, and the promise of glory that comes with winning the first ever #MicksDesk tournament. The past few days of competiton brought surprises, made new stars, and reminded everyone that skill will only take you so far when the !fight is for everything. Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Round 4 are complete.

    Now the finals...

    Quarter Final Results:
The fourth round claimed some of the big names heading in to the first lot of finals. Fourth seed Kron was the most shocking loss, falling to DaMo in something of a grudge match. SixArmedSamurai lost a battle of the NPCs to Aqua, setting up a blockbuster bout between Aqua and Toryn, who made ElJobber his most recent victim in the last round after a controversial five hour minion slaughter. The NPC seeds were poised for victory as opponents appeared to be lambs led to the slaughter, Ratt and Genku the next in line to be claimed.

    1. Ratt progressed to the semi final due to a bye.
In a surprising twist, Ares Menschlich [#1 seed, War] opted to forfeit his position in the finals of his own tournament. The third of Lord Mislukking's Four Barons, he cited his own domination as reason for withdrawing. The twist was exactly what fan-favourite, Ratt, needed to continue his incredible rise through the ranks!

    2. Toryn defeated Aqua in a solid win.
After eliminating Cr0w in the third round, Aqua had forged a reputation beyond perhaps the true capacity of his skills. Toryn set about restoring some perspective with a good win over the NPC ninja, who certainly tested Toryn's controversially attained newfound powers, but not enough so to silence his critics.

    3. Hokey defeated DaMo in a comprehensive win.
All eyes were on DaMo after his elimination of Kron in the round of sixteen, but that luck seemed to have run out in the Quarter Finals. Hokey, a quiet contender throughout the tournament, emerged as the heaviest hitter of the QFs, rocking DaMo with a +3 impact in a punishing solid win.

    4. Genku defeated Famine [#2] in a shock decimation!
Bez Busshitsu, the first of Lord Mislukking's Four Barons, had cut a convincing path through the tournament to this point, and although most opponents were decimated, Famine's results weren't nearly as impossible as War's. Genku stepped up to the plate to solidify his status as a tournament favourite, eliminating the last remaining seed in devastating fashion!

    Semi Final Results:
The elimination of NPCs in the Quarter Finals overshadowed the users who managed to oust them. Ratt's bye into the semi final created a lot of excitement about his potential to win, despite the fact that he did not actually defeat War. Toryn remained a hot topic as critics continued to speculate about the legitimacy of his rise to the Semi Final, allowing Genku to fly under the radar after his eliminating win over #2 seed, Famine.

    1. Toryn defeated Ratt in a total decimation.
The dream run was over as Ratt succumbed to a full strength Toryn. Ironically, it may have been Ratt's successes that allowed complacency to set in as he distanced himself from the near-death power levels that motivated his early matches. The win earned Toryn hot odds to take the whole thing, a fact that only solidifies his heel status.

    2. Genku defeated Hokey in a decimation.
Genku had been one of the strongest competitors throughout the early rounds, earning the heavy hit of the tournament with his +9 crushing of Shadaloo in Round 2, but it was only with his graduation to the Final that his potential was truly recognised. Hokey was appreciated in defeat.

    The Final:
Their Semi Final results were almost mirrored. Toryn had the better of Ratt, but Genku punched harder in his battle with Hokey. Incredibly well matched, the pair made an undeniably compelling scenario for the tournament final, regardless of prejudices. Toryn's path included Ken, Twiztid_Ninja, Mimik, ElJobber, Aqua, and Ratt. Genku's path included foahchon, Shadaloo, Tyrant-Cenobite, Baraka_MK, Famine, and Hokey. There were no words when it came to the fight, only battle...

Final: Genku defeated Toryn in a comprehensive end.
Come tournament final, both men were punching below their weight. In the end, it was Toryn who grossly under performed, achieving an attack near his lowest potential. Genku was far from the top of his game, but in the end, comfortably defeated his opponent with a +2 impact. It was a surprising, but satisfying result to several days of competition.

Speculation now turns to the future. You can join the action in #MicksDesk and begin your career as a combatant by !fighting NPCs, other users, and cheeving your way to a gamerscore. The !RPCheev plot will no doubt advance at some point. When it does, who will be champion?...

    #MicksDesk Tournament: Round 4 Complete

The tournament began with a random draw of one hundred and twenty-eight possibilities. We now face the prospect of a round of sixteen. If you thought less competitors meant less excitement, you'd be very wrong!

There were more twists and upsets in Round 4 as the tournament said goodbye to another of the top seeds. #3 seed, Cr0w, exited in the last round when he was overcome by one of the powerful NPCs in the tournament, Aqua. Kron [#4] became the shock victim of a human opponent, however, taken out by DaMo, who was resurrected for the tournament as part of a new year's grace!

The hardest hit of the round went to Toryn, who delivered a devastating +4 impact to outgoing tournament insider, ElJobber. The win sparked further debate about the legitimacy of Toryn's recent rise through the ranks, which came after a six hour marathon of minion killing. Love or hate him, Toryn will certainly progress to the quarter finals as a legitimate contender. Despite his impressive impact, however, he will have a steep mountain to climb if and when he should face #1 seed, War. The NPC sub-boss had no trouble decimating The_Purple_Bunny in the first fight of the round.

    Round 4 Results:
    1. War [#1] defeated The_Purple_Bunny in an absolute decimation.
With only three rounds remaining, it's difficult to conceive an outcome that doesn't involve Ares Menschlich emerging overall victor. His power levels are off the chart, with many of his opponents failing to even make a dent in the armor of the third of Lord Mislukking's Four Barons.

    2. Ratt defeated Ninja_Mime in a very close battle.
Ratt has developed a fan-favourite following for his underdog status, and despite a 5-51-0 record, has shown real chances of challenging the best! A close call with death seems to have only galvanized his resolve, but will even that be enough to save him from War?

    3. Toryn defeated ElJobber in a punishing decimation.
A closely matched pair on paper, Toryn's methods, however controversial, positioned him to take this win in convincing fashion. On any other day, it might have gone down differently, but Toryn's recent turn of "luck" has given him success in this tournament that he simply would not have otherwise had. You don't have to like his approach, but you have to accept the results!

    4. Aqua defeated SixArmedSamurai in a solid win.
Perceived rightly or wrongly as threats to any of the users facing them, there was a curiosity factor to this clash of two NPCs. Aqua, having done away with top seeded Cr0w in the previous round, seemed logical favourite coming in to this fight. Despite the clash being reasonably competitive, those expectations were not challenged. Aqua's reputation may precede him going in to the next round!

    5. DaMo defeated Kron in a very close upset!
Like Ratt, DaMo suffered hardships in the early stages of his !fight career, but has come back stronger for it. In the upset of the round, he defeated a depleted Kron, who arguably lost the match as much as DaMo won it. DaMo heads into the quarter finals as something of a wildcard, given his luck against the #4 seed.

    6. Hokey defeated Buster in a solid win.
There was nothing fancy about Hokey's strong showing against Buster. A seasoned competitor by now, Hokey probably should've enjoyed a far more decisive victory against the relative unknown, but I'm sure he'll take the win however he can get it. Like Kron, there was a hint of under performing in Hokey's fourth round clash. Fortunately for him, he has the Quarter Finals to make up for it!

    7. Genku defeated Baraka_MK in a decimation.
A strong competitor from the get go, Genku continued his path of destruction with a +3 decimation of Baraka_MK. With the top seeds eliminated, it seems Genku's odds can only improve exponentially as he goes deeper into the tournament, a 38-16-0 record doing little to reflect his power.

    8. Famine defeated DECEPTION in a decimation.
No one wanted to see it, but it was a DECEPTION decimation as the first of Lord Mislukking's Four Barons demonstrated the power of sub-bosses. DECEPTION actually had a shot at taking the sub-boss out, at least on paper. Bez Busshitsu now seems likely to continue the bracket crush set up by the top runged War.

    Quarter Finals Bracket:
    1. War [#1] versus Ratt
    2. Toryn versus Aqua
    3. DaMo versus Hokey
    4. Genku versus Famine [#2]

    #MicksDesk Tournament: Round 3 Complete

Ares Menschlich represents the third of Lord Mislukking's inner circle of henchman dubbed the Four Barons. Also known throughout the Cheevment Kingdom as War, it was actually he who arranged the very first 128 slot tournament in the world of !RPCheev. In accordance with his thematic proclivity toward all things combative, Menschlich delights at the opportunity to pit the users of #MicksDesk and #MortalKombat against each other, whilst also granting he and fellow Baron, Bez Busshitsu [aka; Famine] the opportunity to have their first encounter in the field. A mere preview of things to come in future developments in the !RPCheev storyline.

War remained in devastating form in his disposal of MINION in the third round, while Famine enjoyed a fairly convincing win over tabmok99. The shock of the round came when #3 seed, Cr0w, was unceremoniously eliminated by Aquilluxborg Hydroxybot, the NPC better known as Aqua. His fourth seed counterpart, Kron, had it much easier, enjoying a swift and decisive victory over nikb, the strongest of the round with an impact rating of +3!

As noted at the end of Round 2; controversy surrounded the tournament when Toryn undertook a slaughter of NPCs during a marathon five hour stint, which extended into a sixth hour of battle with other users. All eyes were on Toryn when he unsurprisingly managed a decisive victory over sentimental favourite, Mimik. He'll face ElJobber in the fourth round after he delivered a devastating defeat to DigbyRigby.

The_Purple_Bunny scored a narrow victory over TonyTheTiger in a fast and "furry" blockbuster encounter. Ratt continued the animal theme with a strong +2 win over Scott-Howell. Porygonix was ousted in another of the headlining bouts of Round 3, unable to repeat his surprise victory earlier against Pink_Ranger, when he took on Baraka_MK. Genku and Hokey remain threats after their wins, while DECEPTION continued his winning ways with a vital victory over NPC, RobertCop.

    Round 3 Results:
    1. War [#1] defeated MINION in yet another scary decimation!
    2. The_Purple_Bunny defeated TonyTheTiger in a close fight.
    3. Ratt defeated Scott-Howell in a solid win.
    4. Ninja_Mime defeated Politics in a close fight.
    5. Toryn defeated Mimik in a controversial decimation.
    6. ElJobber defeated DigbyRigby in a decimation.
    7. SixArmedSamurai defeated Artanix in a decimation.
    8. Aqua defeated Cr0w [#3] in a solid win.
    9. Kron [#4] defeated nikb in a decimation.
    10. DaMo defeated GBD.
    11. Buster defeated Dolce in a close fight.
    12. Hokey defeated Nightmarescarz in a solid win.
    13. Genku defeated Tyrant-Cenobite in a decimation.
    14. Baraka_MK defeated Porygonix.
    15. DECEPTION defeated RobertCop in a solid win.
    16. Famine [#2] defeated tabmok99 in a modest decimation.

The round of sixteen promises some very interesting clashes!
NPCs will clash when SixArmedSamurai faces off against Aqua; Toryn will get a real test of his new skills when he takes on game insider, ElJobber; Kron reignites his rivalry with DaMo -- a man he once attempted to take out permanently; and DECEPTION's fan-favourite status will be put to the ultimate test when he takes on NPC sub-boss, Famine!

    Round 4 Brackets (Already Underway):
    1. War [#1] versus The_Purple_Bunny
    2. Ratt versus Ninja_Mime
    3. Toryn versus ElJobber
    4. SixArmedSamurai versus Aqua
    5. Kron [#4] versus DaMo
    6. Buster versus Hokey
    7. Genku versus Baraka_MK
    8. DECEPTION versus Famine [#2]

    #MicksDesk Tournament: Round 2 Complete

The Cheevment Kingdom has been invaded by a dark warlord called Lord Mislukking, unleashing a chaos upon the realm that has forced users to decide whether they'll band together against the evil meance, or !fight each other so the fit will survive. To induct this !RPCheev sponsored development in the existing cheev script #MicksDesk is playing host to a 128 slot tournament featuring anyone who has registered at any point!

Round 1 thinned the herd to sixty-four competitors as neophytes and rookies were hardened in battle, or tossed aside. With a purer breed filling in the brackets of Round 2, the competition was exciting and decisive.

Genku unleashed the most devastating defeat in the second round, dismissing Shadaloo with a shocking +9 impact. The #1, #2, and #4 seeds, War, Famine, and Kron, all enjoyed decisive defeats of their opponents, while #3 seed, Cr0w, was somewhat casual in a +1 rated victory over DeathScepter that was none the less convincing.

It seemed fights were going to be punishing and one-sided in the early goings. The_Purple_Bunny, TonyTheTiger, Ratt, Ninja_Mime, Toryn, Mimik, and NPC SixArmedSamurai all had incredibly strong wins and will no doubt be names to watch going in to the third round.

    Round 2 Results:
    1. War [#1] defeated onryo in another scarily decisive victory.
    2. MINION defeated ThePredator151 in a close fight.
    3. The_Purple_Bunny defeated RomanK in a comprehensive win.
    4. TonyTheTiger defeated kingjolly.
    5. Ratt defeated rxvt in a decisive win.
    6. Scott-Howell defeated Cyber_Axe in a close fight.
    7. Politics defeated ThirtyThr33 in a close fight.

    #MicksDesk Tournament: Round 1 Complete

Over the last two days, #MicksDesk has played host to forty-eight hours of pure, unadulterated tournament action!

The carnival atmosphere began with a twenty-four hour random tournament draw, which was revealed in the previous blog. Now, after another twenty-four hours of automated action, the first round has been completed and we have sixty-four users ready for Round 2!

So far, the seeds have lived up to their reputation, dominating their opponents in each of the four bracket defining matches. #1 seed Ares Menschlich, the NPC better known as War, has set the standard with his truly devastating domination of NovaStarr. #2 seed Famine, NPC Bez Busshitsu, also put in a convincing victory against CeeKay. Cr0w (#3) and Kron (#4), the human seeds, were no less convincing in their dominant victories, but neither could quite match the supremacy established by the two sub-boss characters.

War and Famine represent the third and first Four Barons who make-up Lord Mislukking's inner circle of aids. Each is devastatingly more powerful than the NPC minions users can !fight throughout the day, and key obstacles in the unfolding plotline of !RPCheev. This is the first time the sub-bosses have made their presences felt, and if the tournament is to crown a champion, it seems likely it will be one of them!

There were fifty battles in the first round, with fourteen byes. TonyTheTiger emerged as one of the surprising stars, delivering the most crushing defeat of the fifty-man round against an unlucky fraysol! unixpunk made a star of himself and his opponent when he won a blockbuster battle with Quirk, a fight determined by the smallest of conceivable margins! Porygonix also overcame the odds to defeat a very strong Pink_Ranger in one of the fights of the round! There were plenty of other narrow wins throughout the mid-card, including a controversial fight that had to be restarted after an error prevented NPC OctopusMan from beating Tyrant-Cenobite. Other NPCs, Aqua and SixArmedSamurai, put in strong victories, while ElJobber, Hokey, DECEPTION, The_Purple_Bunny and Ratt all showed promising potential for future stages.

    Round 1 Results:

    #MicksDesk presents Cheev Tournament 1!

For quite some time, #mortalkombat and #MicksDesk have played host to a series of scripts designed to amuse and delight. Primarily driven by the frivolous fun of cheev unlocking, the script has been fairly simple. With cheev #5000, however, a radical reinvention of the system has begun.

Boasting an RPG-inspired plotline and original characters and scenarios, a new !RPCheev system has changed the game. With a view to develop future objectives and storylines, a !fight system has been introduced, offering instant interaction based upon stats earned through various mini-games and activities, with a variety of short and longterm results.

To better initiate the !fight system, a special 128 slot elimination tournament is now under way in #MicksDesk! An automated system has already spent the last twenty-four hours randomly drawing registered users, with announcements approximately every twenty-two minutes. Now, fights are automatically being staged at similar intervals, creating a carnival atmosphere and pitting all users against each other in a clash of stats and luck!
